Drake’s OVO Teams Up With The NBA For 6-Team Collab

If you are a fan of Drake, then you are aware of his OVO brand. Overall, the full name of the brand is October’s Very Own and it consists of a record label as well as an apparel line. Moreover, the OVO branding has grown to be quite iconic as it consists of a large gold owl. This iconography has stayed with Drake throughout his entire career, and it is not going away soon. It is simply too iconic of a logo to ever give up on. Additionally, it is a logo that has lent itself well to a whole plethora of collaborations.

These collaborations are typically with other well-established brands. Although, OVO is always able to add their signature touch, thus making Drake proud. Now, OVO will be teaming up with an organization that their found is quite close with. Of course, we are talking about the National Basketball Association or NBA for short. In a series of Instagram posts, OVO showcased a new NBA collection that is being teased by James Goldstein.

OVO x NBA Makes Drake Proud

Overall, this collection is beautiful as it will contain varsity jackets, hoodies, and various other forms of apparel. Furthermore, six teams are going to be featured in this collaboration. The teams include the Los Angeles Lakers, Phoenix Suns, Golden State Warriors, Memphis Grizzlies, Toronto Raptos, and New York Knicks. So far, only the apparel from the Warriors, Suns, and Lakers has been shown off. However, the pieces all look fantastic, and we’re sure that fans are going to agree. Hopefully, we see the various other pieces, very soon.

As for the release date, it would appear as though these are all going to drop on Friday, April 21st. Moreover, the pieces will be found over at octobersveryown.com. For one outing, the ANTI artist kept her blossoming baby bump on display under a cropped grey sweater, Her pregnancy glow is infectious, and the smile on her face proves that motherhood is truly becoming on Rihanna. Released towards the end of 2022, fans loved this iteration of the KD 15, even if it didn’t receive as much attention as other popular colorways. This colorway of Kevin Durant’s signature shoes combines pink, light blue, royal blue, and beige. The royal blue on the tongue logo matches the signature Nike Swoosh of the same color. The tan-colored midsole meshes nicely with pink, tan, and peach outsole rubber. 5. KD 15 “Beginnings”

Slightly toned down compared to other flashy colorways, the KD 15 Beginnings still has enough flare to stand out! The shoe is in part inspired by the Nike Zoom Jet Flight from 2001. This colorway includes a heel crafted with 3D-printed technology, specifically tailored for Durant’s liking. Fans got their first look at this sneaker on the feet of Durant during Game 1 of the Nets-Celtics playoffs.

The subtlety in the design of the Kevin Durant shoes stands out just as much as the main features. The border blue laces, red heel tabs, and yellow checks stand out on the nearly all-black colorway. The pink logo matches perfectly with the multi-colored graphic printed on the tongue. The bright red signature heel tab has “EASY” etched. On the bottom of the heel is the number 7 in the same color as the heel tabs. The KD 15 “Beginnings” dropped on June 25, 2022, and was one of the most popular colorways among fans of the Kevin Durant shoes. 

4. KD 15 “Aimbot”

One of the more colorful colorways of the KD 15, the Aimbot was one of the bolder sneakers of the season. The bold neon green color is combined with contrasting hits of blue, red, fuchsia, and purple. These colors come together along with splashes on the signature Swoosh, giving the sneaker even more character. The pink KD emblem on the sneaker’s tongue matches the tones of the Swoosh, as well as the colors at the bottom. Released towards the end of the season, these kicks garnered as much attention as Kevin Durant’s electrifying 2021-22 NBA season. 

3. KD 15 “What The” 

The KD 15 is the fourth entry shoe from Durant’s signature line of shoes to be a part of Nike’s iconic “What The” series. Inspired by the original SB Dunk Low “What The,” this colorful sneaker also references other popular KD colorways. The mismatched colorway results in an eye-popping ensemble that celebrates the legacy of past KD releases. 

The left shoe takes inspiration from the “Aunt Pearl”, “Beginnings”, and “Brooklyn Courts” colorways. The right shoe nods to the “Aunt Pearl” and “Aimbot” colorways. Other details are reminiscent of past collaborations between producer 9th Wonder and Nike. Overall, this color release references 10 different colorways of past Kevin Durant shoes.

2. KD 15 “B.A.D.”

Featuring an entirely purple colorway, the KD 15 “B.A.D” is a nod to Kevin Durant’s inner circle. The official colorway of the tonal-shaded sneaker is Space Purple, Oxygen Purple, and Purple Cosmos. He embroidered the names of his close friends inside the tongue of the shoes and the insoles, as well. On the outside of the branded velvet tongue is the signature KD logo, along with rose embroidery. The mesh upper is paired with plastic lace cage detailing and includes a dark purple Swoosh logo across the sides. All of these details and features are wrapped up nicely by the white foam midsole paired with a semi-translucent rubber outsole.

This colorway of the KD 15 gains its namesake from and pays tribute to Kevin Durant’s Aunt Pearl, who was an avid supporter of his basketball beginnings. The multiple shades of pink on the sneakers are an homage to his beloved family member, who passed away from cancer in 2000. Not only was the “Aunt Pearl” a popular release among fans but also originated from a good cause.

The “Aunt Pearl” was a product of a collaboration between Kevin Durant and the Kay Yow Cancer Fund to help raise awareness for the perils of breast cancer. The sneaker has other unique and flashy details. The exclusive colorway’s floral print is featured throughout the upper. The upper is a combination of mesh and suede. The tongues are made of crushed velvet, and also marked with floral print and the signature KD patches. Lastly, the right pull tab of the sneaker has “Aunt Pearl” inscribed on the right pull tab.

Ja 1 “Light Smoke Grey”

The calm approach of this modest colorway is still appreciated by fans of the newly released Ja Morant sneakers. The white, gray, and black colorway accents the vibrant hits of yellow on the tongue and heel branding. The usual graphics seen in other colorways are absent, replaced by the mismatched color arrangement on the sneaker. This is where the white mesh base shoe gets its flare. Though not as bold as the “Mis-Match” Ja 1 colorway, the “Light Smoke Grey” still has plenty of personality. 

The right sneaker sports gray on the swooshes and midfoot panel, while the swooshes on the left sneaker are black. The color scheme of the left sneaker is white to light grey at the midsole. On the right sneaker, the color scheme goes from off-white at the midsole to white. 

Though toned down compared to other colorways, the “Light Smoke Grey” Ja 1 is still a uniquely new option among the Ja Morant sneakers.  With its fresh white mesh base and sharp mismatched color scheme, fans are excited to get their hands on this colorway in time for the Spring.

Ja 1 “Scratch”

The first colorway of the Ja Morant sneaker to officially drop , the “Scratch” colorway was a good first impression for the Ja 1. This colorway matches the Memphis Grizzlies’ alternate uniforms. Additionally, the team wore this colorway back when they were located in Vancouver. The Ja Morant sneaker has a turquoise blue mesh with black and dark red accents throughout the leather upper. The defining feature of this colorway is the Grizzlies claw marks on the front, swooshes, and midsole. Other details include Morant’s logo on the tongues and the “12” branding on the heels. 

Ja 1 “MisMatch”

This colorway borrows its color scheme from the Ja 1 “Game Royal University Red.” The left shoe sports a Game Royal/ Black, University Red and Photo blue color scheme, which is reversed on the right shoe. Black accents and red speckling on the bottoms bring home the fresh look of the mismatched pair. This Spring release of the Ja Morant sneaker has a boldly vibrant color scheme of Cobalt Bliss, Citron Tint, Hot Punch, Medium Soft Pink, and Diffused Blue. The gradient wrap-around Swoosh and mismatched tongue logos also give the shoes extra flare.

Jonathan Majors’ Met Gala Plans Cancelled, Actor And Valentino “Mutually Agreed” He Shouldn’t Attend

Just a few weeks ago, Jonathan Majors was undeniably one of the most envied men in Hollywood. He was constantly gracing red carpets and magazine covers while promoting projects like Creed III and Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania, all while entertaining audiences with his seemingly lovable persona. The entertainer’s lawyers have been vehemently denying the claims coming out against him. They’ve even shared screenshots of messages from the rumoured victim. While Majors’ legal team obviously thought they were doing him a favour, many social media users argued that the “evidence” only makes him look more guilty, if anything. Things have been relatively quiet since then. However, it was announced on Monday (April 17) that he and his management team at Entertainment 306 have decided to part ways in wake of the allegations.
