Meghann Cuniff Drops Merch Inspired By Tory Lanez’s Insult To Her

It’s odd to say that a reporter had a “breakout year” much like a rapper would, but Meghann Cuniff defies all odds. Moreover, the reporter gained a lot of notoriety over the past two years thanks to her hard-working diligence and dedication while covering the Megan Thee Stallion and Tory Lanez shooting case. In fact, she provoked the latter’s ire so much that he called her a “googly-eyed b***h,” a title that she’s happy to embrace as part of her brand. Another common title of the journalist’s is “Meghann Thee Reporter,” and we just got good news about how we can rep this moment in our everyday lives.

Furthermore, Meghann Cuniff just launched a new merch series with three logos referencing these names and her job. Bryson “Boom” Paul designed the logos, a fellow journalist who has also worked tirelessly to fairly, accurately, and clearly report on some of hip-hop’s biggest crime stories. The new pieces– comprised of either mugs, hoodies, shirts, and stickers with one of these logos– are available on the Southern California-based media figure’s website. Both reporters thanked each other for their help and for their work on social media, which is a heartening thing to see between two 9-to-5ers (and probably a whole lot more) in the media.

Meanwhile, as for the Tory and Megan case, not much has happened as of late in the strictly legal sense of it all. Sure, some more gossip emerged surrounding her former bodyguard, but that’s mostly for the online narratives and rumor mills. Young Thug Teases New Clothing Brand As YSL Rico Trial Resumes

Young Thug is currently in jail as he stands trial in the YSL Rico case. This is a case that has a lot of implications for the future of hip-hop. Overall, some lyrics are being used as evidence, which brings into question the whole idea of freedom of expression. Furthermore, Thug is a highly influential artist, and if he were to be convicted, there is a chance that he could be locked up for decades. Needless to say, there is a whole lot at stake here. However, the trial has been confusing due to a myriad of factors.

Prior to Christmas, a co-defendant was stabbed in jail which subsequently led to a delay in the proceedings. On Tuesday, the trial officially resumed and Thugger was all smiles in the courtroom. This has been a lengthy process, so we can imagine just how happy he is to get this show on the road. In fact, Thugger has more than just the law on his kind these days. Recently, he took to Instagram where he promoted a brand-new clothing line called Act Normal. You can see the IG story, below.

“If you support me then…you know the rest,” he wrote. Furthermore, there was a link to the brand’s website which is still very much a work in progress. As HipHopDX reports, Isaiah GQ is a part of the brand. Meanwhile, it is unclear what Thug’s association is. He has his own brand called Spider, although this could be a separate endeavor. Either way, the first collection for Act Normal should be coming out soon. Hopefully, we get some more details on this, very soon.

Jada Pinkett Smith shared a bold fashion statement on Instagram, Tuesday, while welcoming in the new year. She says that she’ll be rocking denim leg warmers in 2024. Showing off a picture of herself wearing a pair, she wrote: “I think jean leg warmers is where it’s at for me in 2024.”

Her followers shared supportive messages in response to the post. One user wrote: “Hell yes!!! Leg warmers are my JAMMMM!!!! I just held on to them from the 90s and knew they’d eventually come back around!!” Another added: “Ok sis!! I see you!!!! Bringing in 2024 right!!!”

Outside of fashion, Jada will likely be working on her next book after releasing Worthy in 2023. Speaking on Sway In The Morning in October, she hinted at having more books lined up. “I know it seems like it’s a lot of life because it is a lot of life in the book, but it’s very streamlined. There’s like layers and layers and layers and layers. There’s no way I could have put it all in one book,” she said. “So there’s definitely other books to come. I mean, even Will and I are thinking about writing a book. We were talking about this last night, writing a book called Don’t Try This at Home, where he and I kind of sit down and talk about our specific journey together.”

That will be for a multitude of reasons. The Georgia rapper could be ready to drop his eagerly-awaited album Music. We have already gotten four great singles from the project already. “2024,” “H00DBYAIR,” “Different Day,” and “BACKR00MS” have all been driving the fans into a frenzy.

That is especially true for the latter of them. The song has well over four million views on YouTube and continues to be the top trending video. Apart from Playboi’s solo success, he has the Opium music label as well. Ken Carson and Destroy Lonely are setting themselves up for success too.

There have been rumblings of Metro Boomin working with Ken on some music, which is very exciting. To help celebrate all of these achievements, Carti decided to get a new icy watch. However, upon closer inspection, the purple get-up was branded with the Nike swoosh. Soon after this look popped up, Sole Retriever reported on the extent of the collection and what fans can expect. Essentially, there will be a plethora of pieces including a jacket, bras, a onesie, a crop top, a bodysuit, and even shorts. Needless to say, Nike and Megan are going all out.

There is a wide range of prices for this new collaboration. For instance, the bodysuit and the jacket are going to cost $200 USD. However, some of the smaller items will only run you about $40 USD. As for the release date of this collaboration, it seems like everything will be coming out on February 15th, which lands on a Wednesday. This is certainly going to be a unique collaboration, and fans are definitely excited about the opportunity to cop. Hopefully, it lives up to the expectations in terms of quality.

In one of her latest photo dumps, the California native’s curves were sparkling in a sequin-clad dress that kept all eyes on her.

“St. barth me plzzz ,” she wrote in the caption on Saturday (December 30). Interestingly, many Instagram users in the comments are comparing Saweetie to another recording artist with a surgically enhanced physique. “Why do [you] look like SZA in these pics?” one person asked. “I thought it was SZA for a split second,” another agreed.

Lil Yachty Tells Fashion Haters To Check Themselves

Lil Yachty fired back at fans trolling his fashion sense on Twitter, Friday. In doing so, he told users on social media to check themselves before judging his outfits. Yachty had shared several pictures of one of his more colorful looks, earlier in the day.

In response to the fit pic, one user replied: “Bro wearing nursing student scrubs.” Another joked: “Respectfully this sh*t look like what the whovilles from whoville wear.” Yachty eventually shot back: “i be seein some of yall outfits as yall try to judge mine and i be appalled.”

His fashion choices aren’t the only thing that Yachty’s done to warrant backlash on social media as of late. Last month, he argued that hip-hop is in a “terrible place” during an interview at Rolling Stone‘s “Musicians on Musicians” event in Brooklyn, New York. “Hip-hop is in a terrible place,” Yachty said, as noted by Complex. “The state of hip-hop right now is a lot of imitation. It’s a lot of quick, low-quality music being put out.” He continued: “It’s a lot less risk-taking, it’s a lot less originality. People are too safe now. Everyone is so safe. I rather take the risk than take the L.” Many fans on social media and media pundits alike took issue with the remarks. Yachty did, however, admit many artists are pushing the boundaries today and named JID as an example.

According to TMZ, the reality starlet was with her daughters and estranged husband, Mauricio Umansky, during her unexpected run-in with the Bad Gal. When Richards overheard an employee mention that Rihanna was in the building, she took a chance and asked for an introduction, to which the latter reportedly said, “F**k yes!” Their families spent some time mingling together, and after, Kyle came through with a late Christmas gift for her new friends.

It’s unclear if the fashionista hopes to get pregnant again so soon after having Riot, like she did with RZA, or if she’ll be taking time to focus on releasing the music she’s been promising fans for some time now, and heading out on a subsequent tour.

Earlier this week, cameras caught all three Mayers boys and their matriarch, with Rocky stealing the show in his disco ball-inspired pants. The Testing rapper paired the bold piece with a brown and white fur coat over a grey hoodie, notably carrying both of their little boys, who were also dapperly dressed. Rih looked far more casual than ASAP in her mom jeans and shacket. Still, she and the New Yorker did cutely coordinate by rocking the same shoes.

In terms of their aesthetics, Rihanna and ASAP Rocky are always on point.
