It’s Friday August 25 as of writing this article, and Drake fans are scrambling because For All The Dogs, his highly anticipated new album, didn’t drop like they thought it would. Moreover, his reveal of the cover art earlier this week led many to believe that this was finally the week we would get it. However, when midnight hit, OVO hopefuls everywhere checked their streaming services, and it was to no avail. It’s not like the 6 God has been teasing this album for months or years like some of his previous projects. Regardless, it doesn’t make the sting any easier to handle in the moment for fans, and they’re looking for any way out possible.

Furthermore, Drake fans have a new beacon of hope, and it’s nothing other than International Dog Day. That’s tomorrow (Saturday, August 26), and would explain the cover art reveal and be hilariously on brand. If there’s any artist that can drop outside of expected Friday release dates and still get the same attention, it’s him. As unlikely and corny as it sounds, it also sounds like exactly the kind of thing that the 36-year-old would probably get a kick out of.

All we can hope for is that Lil Yachty catches wind of this speculation, because it would probably make for another funny moment. Recently, he clowned Drake fans for thinking For All The Dogs would release today when there was no such announcement online. “y’all stup*d, no body even said for all the dogs was comin out tonight,” Yachty tweeted. In a separate video, the Let’s Start Here creative plugged his new single and said that he might drop a song every week for the rest of the year.

Meanwhile, another harsh reality to reckon with is that we might be waiting for this album for a while. Drake recently took to his Instagram to co-sign another artist. He posted a screenshot from California-born rapper Yeat’s new music video, leading some fans to speculate. “Dialed In,” he wrote over the photo. Social media users appear to think that Drake was hinting at an upcoming collab with him, though it hasn’t been confirmed. Yeat has previously teased a possible collaboration with the Canadian, so the idea wouldn’t be too far fetched. The screenshot was taken from Yeat’s new “bigger thën everything” music video, which Lyrical Lemonade dropped yesterday.

“We’re going to have some sh*t on the way,” Yeat told Complex at the end of last year. “In the future. Not yet. I want to make it in-person with him. I don’t want to be sending sh*t.” He also famously attended Drake’s release party for Certified Lover Boy. “It was late as f*ck at night and Zack [Bia] was like, ‘Yo, Drake said let’s go to Houston,’ and I was like, f*ck it,” he told the outlet. “So we bought a flight instantly. We got there in like three hours. We were there for the album release party, and then left three hours later. Sh*t was fire.”

Drake Co-Signs “bigger then everything”

Though it’s very possible that Drake was simply showing support for his fellow artist, this isn’t the first time fans thought they saw a collab on the horizon. Earlier this summer, Yeat started sharing some cowboy-related imagery on social media, and Drake followed suit. He posted a photo of a rack of cowboy boots on his Instagram Story, making fans think that the duo could have something in the works.

Drake’s been making his way around the U.S. and Canada on his “It’s All A Blur” tour alongside 21 Savage recently. He’s been making headlines for celebrity guests, concertgoers’ antics, and more. He’s also just ahead of his next release, a new album called For All The Dogs.

In the music video for Chromatics’ remix of The Weeknd’s gargantuan hit “Blinding Lights,” the 4:33 mark contains quite the interesting voicemail clip. It goes as follows: “Hey, it’s me,” a female voice says somberly. “I know it’s been a while but I was just thinking about you and I’m sorry about everything.” This is a clip that the Canadian superstar continues to play at his shows before performing the track, with the most recent example being at his Lisbon concert in Portugal. While most believe that the voice belongs to Chromatics’ lead signer Ruth Radelet, many others think it’s actually his ex, Bella Hadid.

Of course, this debate emerged as soon as that remix video dropped, so this speculation is nothing new. Also, it’s worth noting that The Weeknd has never publicly confirmed either theory, although he probably enjoys the mystery. While some wouldn’t put it past the R&B star to leak a private voicemail like that, it still seems like a stretch. Another speculative element of his recent performances is his new silver mask, which many compared to the late legend MF DOOM- and Abel doesn’t mind that comparison at all.

Just like with the voicemail, though, it’s unclear how much of that is intentional and how much is pure coincidence. It’s been about four years since The Weeknd and Bella Hadid called it quits for the last time, and both have grown a lot since. Furthermore, he might have processed a lot of these emotions and feelings on his 2018 EP, My Dear Melancholy. Moreover, this speculation is based on the fact that many pictures of the wedding published online don’t feature Marshall Mathers. Furthermore, after seeing Scott’s social media posts and failing to spot the rapper, fans wonder whether the father of the bride was there in the first place. It’s a pretty ridiculous rumor mill, as it’s far beyond spectator purview to determine whether he was there based on a few pictures. Maybe he didn’t want them posted online, had an emergency, or a thousand other reasons that are only for the family to know.

What’s more is that this isn’t the only big wedding in the Mathers family. Slim Shady’s biological daughter Hailie recently had her engagement party after longtime boyfriend (and now fiancée) Evan McClintock proposed earlier in the year. On the other hand, Alaina Scott and Matt Moeller dated for over seven years before Moeller proposed in 2021. As incredibly personal and private affairs, maybe we should be asking Eminem for more albums rather than confirmation that he attended his daughter’s wedding for the sake of fan knowledge.

For those unaware, the Detroit legend adopted Alaina Scott, who he calls Lainey, from Kim’s sister Dawn. She struggled with drug addiction, and Eminem would eventually go on to adopt Kim’s child Stevie, who she had from another relationship. Hailie actually served as Alaina’s maid of honor during the ceremony, which took place on Friday (June 9) in Detroit. “June 9, 2023 simply one of the best days of my life,” Alaina wrote on Instagram. “In this lifetime and in the next, my soul will always find yours.”

Meanwhile, The Marshall Mathers LP and The Eminem Show recently turned 23 and 21 years old, respectively. DeAndre Hopkins Cut Sparks Multi-Team Speculation

The DeAndre Hopkins saga has written its newest chapter. After months of speculation that the Cardinals could trade or otherwise offload the veteran wide receiver, the Cardinals finally cut him. As a result, the Cardinals will eat $22.9 million in dead cap and Hopkins will become an unrestricted free agent. Hopkins had initially missed the start of the Cardinals’ OTAs as his status remained in limbo.

After serving a six-game suspension for violating the league’s PED policy, Hopkins played in nine games last season. He racked up 757 yards and 3 touchdowns as the Cardinals went 4-13. He was traded to the Cardinals in 2020 by the Texans. In three seasons with the Cardinals, he recorded 2696 yards and 17 touchdowns. However, he will now be able to pursue the team of his choice.

Hopkins’ sudden free agency has sparked a lot of interest around the league. Among the teams interested are the Bills, Patriots, and Ravens. Hopkins, who last rushed for 1000 yards in 2020, would find very different fortunes. He could be the final piece the Bills need in their near-Sisyphean quest to reach a Super Bowl. Meanwhile, Hopkins would bring a veteran calm to somewhat-embattled Mac Jones. However, the Ravens are an intriguing prospect given their already very full receiver room.

It’s unclear whether the Mavericks will pursue Irving but of course, his pending freedom has led to rampant speculation of where Kyrie could be heading.

Speaker Knockerz’s Mother Reflects On Her Son’s Death

Speaker Knockerz’s mother, Mesha Wilson, addressed the various theories surrounding her son’s tragic 2014 death during an appearance on the Drea O Show, published on Monday. She says that “95 percent” of reports she’s seen regarding his death have been inaccurate.

“I’ve learned a lot, you know, listening to and reading some of the things that people say,” Wilson said during the discussion. “It’s like, whatever they put out in the media that people believe in and then when I see some of the things that they say, it’s not true at all. Like, 95 percent of the things that they say is not true. My son did not die of any type of drug substance or anything like that and he did not have a heart attack. I just want to clear that up. That’s not what happened to him.”

Wilson further added that ‘“none of the stuff that they’re saying out there is the truth.” “When the toxicology came back, those things were not there,” Wilson said. She noted that she’s not fully ready to talk about “that portion” of his life. Elsewhere during the discussion, Wilson reflected on her son’s life, the time he spent with his father, and much more.

The full interview was released on the nine-year anniversary of Speaker Knockerz’s death. The up-and-coming rapper was found dead in his garage in his South Carolina home at just 19 years old in March 2014. Foul play was not suspected and an autopsy from the time showed no signs of trauma. In the end, his death was ruled as being from natural causes. Despite his short career, Speaker Knockerz created an impactful legacy with his music. He was best known for his songs “RICO Story,” as well as “Lonely,” and more. The last song he released prior to his death was “Erica Kane,” which received a music video release posthumously. In fact, it looks eerily similar to one that the “Hot In Here” rapper often wears. As such, many warned the singer and actress of straying back into the relationship after he apparently “betrayed” him based on her testimony.

Still, it’s not like the two completely stayed out of each other’s lives, and recent run-ins fueled reunion rumors before this was even a factor. For example, they were recently spotted clubbing after their Nashville concert in early February this year.
