Rich The Kid Finally Releases “Band Man” Along With Peso Pluma Collab “Gimme A Second”

Rich The Kid is the midst of pretty big comeback. The Queens, New York rapper is still riding high off being on one of the biggest records of 2024. That of course is “CARNIVAL” off VULTURES 1. For some, the track came and went. But there is no denying that it was being played everywhere at the time of its release. Now, we are gearing up for Rich The Kid to make his solo return possibly sometime this summer with Life’s a Gamble.

After some pretty underwhelming projects, namely BOSS MAN and Trust Fund Babies, it is clear that he is going big or going home on his third album. Ty Dolla $ign and Kanye West are the executive producers and rumors say there will be a crazy number of features. One of those we know now, as Peso Pluma makes an appearance on “Gimme A Second.” This one of two singles that Rich has put out, with the long-awaited “Band Man” being released in unison.

Listen To “Gimme A Second / Band Man” By Rich The Kid & Peso Pluma

Both tracks do not really stand out from a lyrical perspective, even though Rich has never been seen as a wordsmith. But where both singles shine are production wise, perhaps to no surprise. DJ Durel, “Gimme A Second”, and d.a. got that dope, “Band Man”, both lay down some tight trap instrumentals. Each one has a distinctive vibe and overall carry the tracks. However, we have to give credit to Peso Pluma, as he does bring an animated performance.

What are your thoughts on “Gimme A Second / Band Man” by Rich The Kid and Peso Pluma? Which track do you prefer out of the two and why? Does this get you excited for Life’s a Gamble? Who had the stronger performance on “Gimme A Second?” We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. Quotable Lyrics From “Gimme A Second”:

Gotta flex a lot
I was broke as hell walkin’ around passin’ CD’s in the parking lot
Now my little b**** want five racks for a new bag ’cause I’m rich enough (Rich enough)
P***y good, had to pay for it, let me knock it out like The Juggernaut (Juggernaut, yeah)
Let me stop (Hold on)

Central Cee & Lil Baby Go “BAND4BAND” On Aggressive Drill Banger

You CAN’T RUSH GREATNESS ever. That is certainly the motto that Central Cee has taken up ever since the release of 23 back in 2022. The Shepard’s Bush, London drill rapper has billed himself as one of the UK’s biggest voices over the last few years. He has done so by creating catchy bangers like “Doja” and “Sprinter.” Additionally, you can attribute his success due to his crossovers with the likes of J. Cole, Drake, The Kid LAROI, PinkPantheress, and more.

While singles and features are great, fans, and us at HNHH alike, are still waiting on a new project from Cench. That could be happening sometime this year, with CAN’T RUSH GREATNESS being the speculated title. There is no confirmed information that it will happen this year, but we feel the chance is strong. Cee has been quite active in 2024, dropping his take on R&B with “I Will,” as well as a “CC FREESTYLE,” which has recently been removed from his YouTube page.

Listen To “BAND4BAND” By Central Cee & Lil Baby

His third effort, “BAND4BAND,” sees him and first-time collaborator Lil Baby display seamless chemistry. This dark and aggressive drill/trap cut features a slick flow from Cee, and a solid performance from the ATL native. People have been critical off Baby as of late, including us, but we think this a return to form. “BAND4BAND” is quickly growing in popularity, as it is currently number three on trending for music on YouTube with over 2.2 million views.

What are your thoughts on “BAND4BAND” by Central Cee and Lil Baby? Is this one of Cee’s best songs as of late, why or why not? Do you think Lil Baby gave one of his best features in a while? Does this get you excited for the rumored CAN’T RUSH GREATNESS? Who had the stronger performance? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. I’ma have love for bro for life if we talk or not, I step with ’em
Of course you can beat me at talkin’, ain’t no back and forth, wait ’til we catch up with him
Knockin’ a bag and makin’ the opposite mad, I done fell in love with it

Drake Gets Petty, Raps Over “BBL DRIZZY” Beat On New Sexyy Red Collab “U My Everything”

Drake and Sexyy Red are back at it again. The controversial “two bad b****es” are furthering their chemistry and relationship on a new cut from In Sexyy We Trust. This a follow-up mixtape to the St. Louis native’s 2023 breakthrough, Hood Hottest Princess. It comes at an awkward time for each artist, as she has been tied into some disses from the Drake and Kendrick Lamar beef. But Red has not let those distractions get to her, as she is arguably at the peak of her powers.

“Get It Sexyy” has quickly become an anthem for this year and the number of features she has provided, especially for Chief Keef, have been a big deal. Now, she can “U My Everything” to that growing list of accomplishments. She managed to get Drake first before anyone else could since the beef, as he seems to be ready to work on new endeavors. These two have created some interesting tracks together, to say the say the least. But this one may take the cake.

Listen To “U My Everything” By Sexyy Red & Drake

Both play into the absurdity of the record, with Sexyy Red purposefully singing poorly at the start. It is quite hilarious, and it makes a callback to the Rolling Loud performance from this year. Then, there’s Drake who plays into the “BBL DRIZZY” accusations halfway through his verse. “Me and the surgeon got history I changed a lot of girls’ lives for real / They need a new body, they hittin’ me, ayy / BBL Drizzy, they want a new body, they ask me for it.” The wild part about this is when these bars drop, the Tay Keith beat switches up to the Metro Boomin diss instrumental “BBL DRIZZY BPM 150.mp3.” It certainly a petty thing for him to do, but it is Drizzy’s MO.

What are your thoughts on “U My Everything” by Drake and Sexyy Red? Is this the best track from In Sexyy We Trust, why or why not? Do you think this was a chess move for Drake to rap over “BBL DRIZZY?” Do you see Metro Boomin responding to this at all? Who had the stronger performance? Or maybe you go to Saint Martin with me if these n****s take break and quit startin’ with me

PinkPantheress Samples Selena On Bubbly New Single “Turn It Up”

PinkPantheress is back. The bedroom pop superstar took some time off after the release of her debut album, Heaven Knows, but she’s ready for another rollout. She teased a snippet of her new single, “Turn It Up,” on her TikTok, and fans immediately went nuts for its airy, melodic beat. Well, Pantheress has now dropped the full version on streaming, and it did not disappoint. “Turn It Up,” the presumed lead single to her next album, is everything fans could want and more.

The first thing that jumps out about “Turn It Up” is the instrumental. It has the classic, genre-melding sound that PinkPantheress fans are used to, but it also makes use of an iconic 90s sample. The sample in question is “Dreaming of You” by Selena. The Queen of Tejano is rarely used in modern pop music, but the way the melody get chopped up here, maybe she should. “Turn It Up” recycles the opening chords of “Dreaming of You,” but speeds them up to give them a propulsive, lo-fi feel. Pantheress is famous for her eclectic musical taste, and this flip is probably one of the best examples of this taste working in tandem with her knack for catchy hooks.

PinkPantheress Continues To Perfect Her Unique Sound

The lyrics are typical PinkPantheress fodder. She sings about a rocky relationship with a man, and the desire to make things go right, even if only for the moment. The singer’s words are not really meant to be taken out of the context of the song. They’re just meant to sound good. To nobody’s surprise, they do.

“I got thе time with you, that’s what I want tonight. Boy, just show your devotion,” she sings. “Make yoursеlf go through the motions. I hate going out, but you just got the promotion.” If you’re not a fan of PinkPantheress already, this song won’t change your mind. If you love her, though, “Turn It Up” will get lots of spin this summer.

What are your thoughts on this new song, “Turn It Up” by PinkPantheress? Does she have another hit on her hands? Do you like the Selena sample? Are you excited for the singer’s new album? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. Additionally, always keep it locked in with HNHH for all of the latest news surrounding PinkPantheress. Finally, stay with us for everything else going on in the music world.

Cash Cobain And J Cole Join Forces On Bouncy New Single “Grippy”

Cash Cobain has become everybody’s favorite collaborator. He linked up with Ice Spice on the remix to his breakout single “Fisherrr,” and produced the hypnotic beat for the new Don Toliver song “Attitude.” There’s something about his glitchy, “sexy drill” (as he describes it) that is irresistible to major artists, and J Cole is the latest to get the Cobain stimulus package. The Dreamville rapper, and unfortunate causality in the Big Three battle, is back doing what he does best. Well, sort of.

Cash Cobain sounds slick as ever on “Grippy.” He produced the beat, and the way he effortlessly glides over each little glitch and bouncy drum pattern feels symbiotic. As with all producer/rappers, they have the benefit of knowing what will sound best on their own music. “Destiny, I’m tryna give you the best of me,” he raps. “I wanna kill it like rest in peace, Eat on that p**sy like it was a recipe, like Shanti, I wanna
make you a mommy.” These lines are not profound in any way, but they match “Grippy”‘s glitchy drums like a glove.

Cash Cobain Drops Off A Memorable “Sexy Drill” Track

J. Cole also started out as a producer/rapper. He’s proven himself to be extremely versatile in both fields, but there’s something about Cash Cobain’s production that trips him up. Cole starts the song, and while he has time to fire off a few memorable bars, he never really finds his footing. There’s a reliance on Auto Tune that’s unpleasant to the ear, and a repetitive rhyme scheme that makes sense, yet quickly runs out of steam. J. Cole is trying to approach “Grippy” like most guest verses, but this is one of the first times where it sounds like he’s blatantly chasing a trendy sound.

His Big Three peer, Drake, has also worked with Cash Cobain on “Calling for You,” but the 6 God has always been better at absorbing trends and making them sound natural. Cole can do lots of things, but he can’t do that. A solid song, but one in which Cobain is carrying his feature.

What are your thoughts on this new song, “Grippy” by Cash Cobain and J. Cole? Does Cobain carry the song? Is J. Cole better than we gave him credit for? Do you want to hear more collabs between them in the future? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. Ralfy The Plug Presses The Red Button On New Remble Diss Track “Jada Pinkett”

Ralfy The Plug and Remble seem to be at odds right now. For those who may not know, Ralfy The Plug is the brother of Drakeo The Ruler. Overall, the two have had numerous collaborations in the past. Furthermore, with Drakeo’s passing, Ralfy has been quick to call out any disrespect against his brother. As for Remble, he has also collaborated with Drakeo, and it seems like he never really had many good things to say about Ralfy.

Earlier this week, Remble dropped off a “Not Like Us” freestyle that was over four minutes long. This was a comeback track for Remble who hadn’t dropped in quite some time. Immediately, it became clear that this song was addressing a few people, with both Ralfy and Drakeo mentioned by name. Not long after this song came out, Ralfy The Plug came through with a response of his own. You can listen to the track below, which is called “Jada Pinkett.”

Ralfy The Plug Claps Back

With this new track, Ralfy The Plug samples The Undertaker’s infamous bell sound. Furthermore, he disses Remble the whole way through, while also invoicing the artist’s label. Of course, this is meant to be a taunt for Remble using Ralfy’s name to get clicks. As it stands, fans are divided on who is winning this beef. Tyga and DJ Mustard have made some great songs together over the years. However, when it comes to Mustard, his genius is at the forefront of our minds again. Once upon a time, Mustard was the biggest producer in the world. Eventually, he dabbled in EDM and found himself delving into other projects. In 2024, Mustard now has one of the biggest songs in the world, thanks to Kendrick Lamar and his pure hatred for Drake. Of course, we are talking about “Not Like Us.”

With the success of “Not Like Us,” fans are going back into Mustard’s catalog to listen to some of his best beats. Well, one of them was given to Tyga all the way back in 2010. CyHi Spits Fire During His “On The Radar” Freestyle, Hypes Up Forthcoming Album

CyHi, formerly known as CyHi The Prynce, has got to be one of the rap game’s most unheralded lyricists. He does not drop all that often, which probably hurts his case. But he is without a doubt one of the sharpest writers of the last 10 years at least. Recently, CyHi stopped by for an “On The Radar” freestyle, to remind everyone how special he is.

The Georgia-born rapper and songwriter stepped up to the mic to give us bar after bar for five minutes straight. Outside of his effortless rapping, CyHi impressively switches up his style when the beat transitions halfway through. On the first half, the No Dope On Sundays MC spits over a more hype instrumental, whereas the backend strips things back and slows down. Hopefully, fans will get this type of dynamic spitting on his forthcoming record.

Listen To “On The Radar” Freestyle By CyHi

According to HipHopDX, CyHi is inching closer and closer toward dropping The Story of Mr. EGOT. It would be just his third overall LP and first since the aforementioned No Dope On Sundays. That dropped all the way back in 2017, so it has certainly been a hot minute. We perhaps got the first taste of the album back in 2022 with the EGOT the EP.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new “On The Radar” freestyle from CyHi? Is he one of the best, yet underrated writers the game has ever seen, why or why not? Where does this rank amongst the freestyles you have heard this year? Does this get you excited for his upcoming album The Story Of EGOT?
