Queen Naija Regrets “Adding Fat To Her Butt,” Says She’s Scared Of A Reduction

Whether they admit it or not, when many people come into money, one of the first things they do is make cosmetic alterations to their appearance. From buccal fat removal to BBLs, the changes one can make are endless – though not all of them end up being worthwhile. In Queen Naija’s case, she went under the knife to fix a few insecurities and came out of the procedure with even more.

Recently, the R&B songstress was asked about her regrets. After a long pause, she admits, “I’m scared to say this” before hesitating again. Finally, she reveals that having fat added to her butt is one thing she wouldn’t do again.

“You wish you never did it?” a male voice in the video asks Naija. “Like not as much,” the 27-year-old explains. “I didn’t think it was gonna do that much, should’ve just gotten like the tummy tuck and some shots.”

In the comment section, several users were quick to point out the recurring narrative that BBLs are going out of style. Additionally, other mentioned that if it bothers her significantly, she can always get a removal down the road. However, according to the vocalist, the thought of another surgery is enough for her to live with her regrets.

“I hated my hip dips and c-section belly,” she wrote in the comments of @theneighborhoodtalk’s post. “Now I dislike how all my weight gain goes to my booty and hips. Either way, I disliked something.”

She went on, “Can’t be perfect y’all [shrug emoji]. I would get it reduced but the risk of getting put to sleep again is scary.”

Naija’s confession earned plenty of supportive responses, with many users telling her that regular workouts should help solve her problem.

Queen Naija’s “Let’s Talk About It” Takes Centre Stage On Our “R&B Season” Update

2022 brought us plenty of memorable R&B projects. From Brent Faiyaz’s Wasteland to Ari Lennox’s age/sex/location, our favourite artists expertly delivered exactly what their audience was seeking. Obviously, there’s some added pressure for 2023 after such an impressive year, but a few brave creators are already sharing their first releases.

Among them is Queen Naija, whose voice shines on her “Let’s Talk About It” track. Throughout her lyrics, the songstress calls out the men in her life for their confusing nature.

“Sick of puttin’ all these egotistical, n*ggas on a pedestal / All up in a woman’s business, worry ’bout your revenue,” the 27-year-old sings.

In the accompanying music video, Naija stars alongside BMF star Lil Meech. The R&B diva and two other women confront the actor, who’s been tied up, for disrespecting them.

As for collaborative efforts, we’ve got two to recommend. Firstly there’s Vedo and Chris Brown’s work on their “Do You Mind” single.

The nearly two-and-a-half minute long track is due to appear on the former’s upcoming project. Titled Mood Swings, his fans will be able to enjoy the R&B star’s new work this coming Friday (January 13).

For his part, Brown flirtatiously sings, “I like what I like, I’m not the type that’s gon’ be stalkin’ you / Oh, I know I’m a player but I’ll wait up, shoot my shot and then I follow through.”

Finally, we have is this Cam? and Maurice Moore’s “Climax,” which has quickly become a favourite amongst listeners.

Whether you’re heading on a late night drive or spending time with your boo this cuffing season, it’s the perfect jam to help set the mood.

Queen Naija Returns With “Let’s Talk About It” Single

Starting the year off on a powerful, confrontational note is none other than Queen Naija. For the first New Music Friday of 2023, she’s debuting a new single called “Let’s Talk About It.” It specifically finds her calling out the “self-absorbed and drama-obsessed men of the world.”

The song was co-written by the vocalist herself and Mike Woods, known for his work with G-Eazy, Tink, and finally, Ty Dolla $ign. Oak Felder took care of production. He also has an impressive resume after working with Kehlani, Nicki Minaj, and Pink $weats.

Throughout her lyrics, Naija markedly holds male listeners accountable for their confusing antics. “Putting up a front to hide behind your traumas / Takin’ all your anger out on me won’t solve ‘em,” she sings on the second verse.

Later the R&B diva adds, “Had a real one by your side, but you just lost one.”

In the accompanying music video, Queen Naija recklessly drives over obviously winding roads. Upon arriving at an abandoned warehouse, two other women aid in bringing out a man who’s been tied up.

BMF actor Lil Meech was cast as the male lead. He expertly plays the role of the songstress’s troubled lover.

Quotable Lyrics:

Sick of puttin’ all these egotistical, n*ggas on a pedestal
All up in a woman’s business, worry ’bout your revenue
Always think you know it all, you don’t know what’s best for you
Why you scared of therapy? Probably can’t accept the truth

Queen Naija Confronts Lil Meech In New Video “Let’s Talk About It”

Screen Shot 2023 01 06 at 9.04.30 AM

Today, multi-platinum songstress Queen Naija kicks off the new year with “Let’s Talk About It”, a slow-burning but unstoppable new single that calls out all the self-absorbed and drama-obsessed men of the world. Accompanied by a cinematic video that finds Queen taking back her power, “Let’s Talk About It” arrives around the Detroit-bred artist’s milestone five-year anniversary of her breakthrough hit Medicine (a double-platinum smash that premiered on New Year’s Day in 2018 and immediately set her meteoric rise in motion).

Co-written by Queen with Mike Woods (G-Eazy, Tink, Ty Dolla $ign) and producer Oak Felder (Kehlani, Nicki Minaj, Pink Sweat$), “Let’s Talk About It” is a powerful piece of R&B-pop built on her ultra-smooth soothing vocals.

Queen Naija’s Fiery New Song ‘Let’s Talk About It’ Gives The Lyrical Middle Finger To F*ckboys

Queen Naija is offering fans a fun start to the new year with her brand new song, “Let’s Talk About It.” The fiery track serves as a force to be reckoned with as she doesn’t take any bullsh*t from the men of the world.

“Always think you know it all / You don’t know what’s best for you / Why you scared of therapy? / Probably can’t accept the truth,” she burns in the opening verse. However, the smooth and calming R&B beat eases some of the tension off of the biting lyricism.

It was co-written by Queen Naija and Mike Woods (Ty Dolla $ign) with production by Oak Felder (Kehlani, Nicki Minaj).

The music video for “Let’s Talk About It” builds on those themes. It opens with a supercut of flashbacks from a relationship’s toxic moments, as Naija and the man (played by Lil Meech) sit on opposite ends of the couch, presumably after a fight or breakup. From there, Naija sings from the back of a car as she shines under neon lights and stares in the rearview mirror.

She also watches his social media story, catching the f*ckboy in the process — and decides to teach him a lesson about two-timing women.

Fivio Foreign Asks ‘What’s My Name’ In His New Video With Queen Naija And Coi Leray

Fivio Foreign‘s debut album B.I.B.L.E. came out in April, but he’s wisely kept promoting it over the last two months, keeping it visible even with all the high-profile projects that have been dropping lately. The latest video he’s released from the album is for “What’s My Name,” the Destiny’s Child-sampling fifth track, which also features fellow rising stars Queen Naija and Uproxx’s latest cover artist, Coi Leray. While Naija sing-raps her verse, Coi delivers hers in her now-signature clipped-but-melodic cadence. In the video, the three wear matching camouflage outfits while performing for rowdy crowds while Coi lounges with a python.

Since dropping B.I.B.L.E., Fivio’s appeared in the video for Nicki Minaj’s “We Go Up,” assisted Antonio Brown on his new album Paradigm, teamed up with another drill artist, Kay Flock, to release “Make A Movie,” and released his own video for another of his album’s more soulful singles, “Hello,” featuring Chloe and KayCyy. Meanwhile, Queen Naija is four months removed from her latest single, “Hate Our Love” featuring Big Sean, and Coi Leray has already dropped a new single of her own, “Involved,” after pushing back her Trendsetter tour to add more dates.

Watch Fivio Foreign’s “What’s My Name” video featuring Queen Naija and Coi Leray above.
