Conway The Machine & Swizz Beatz Have A Collab On The Way, Griselda Alum Shares

If you still caught up with hip-hop releases during the 2023 holiday season, you probably heard Conway The Machine’s newly released collaborative tape with Westside Gunn and The Alchemist, Hall & Nash 2. Moreover, you’ll be very pleased to know that he apparently doesn’t plan to slow down his prolific release schedule at all in 2024. Not only does the Drumwork label boss have his artists to push and support, but he’s also cooking up plenty of material on his own. During an Instagram Live session on Friday (December 29), he previewed a hopefully upcoming collaboration with none other than legendary Ruff Ryders (and beyond) producer Swizz Beatz.

Unfortunately, that snippet is pretty much all the information that we have about this cut: no title, no release date, and no project it’s set to appear on. Hopefully that changes soon as both artists think of what their next moves will be. The one and only Swizz Beatz, for example, recently shared that he has enough DMX material in the vault to craft a posthumous album. It’s unclear whether he’ll actually go through with it, though, as those releases tend to be pretty difficult, let alone controversial if done with the slightest disrespect or lack of care.

Other than Swizz Beatz and The Alchemist, Conway The Machine linked with the likes of Big Ghost Ltd., Wun Two, Conductor Williams, and many more beatsmiths for either single releases or full-length project team-ups. Of these, we’d highly recommend you check out the Williams-led CONDUCTOR MACHINE. With the Griselda-adjacent sound becoming so popular and imitated, there’s nothing like an OG pairing to refresh its quality. That’s exactly what this duo achieved over just a few tracks, and hopefully quality continues to trump quantity.

Meanwhile, Swizz recently joined Timbaland at the 2023 BET Hip-Hop Awards to announce that Verzuz is making a return. Biggie Punches Scarface In New “Baddies East” Episode

Tensions only continue to rise among the cast of Baddies East, as many of the women have shown their true colors lately. In a preview for today’s new episode, for example, viewers can see that Biggie has had enough of Scarface. After Nunn teased evictions last week, Scarface began to advocate for Biggie leaving the house. She even started to move some of her belongings herself, which Biggie didn’t appreciate.

Of course, it resulted in Biggie popping off on her fellow Baddies star, demanding that she stop touching her things. “Why are you allowing this girl to touch my sh*t?” she shouted at onlookers whilst attempting to pry a bag out of Scarface’s hand. “You cannot afford this sh*t!” Unfortunately, Scarface didn’t let up, which appears to have led Biggie to take things to a whole new level.

According to Biggie, the bag in question cost her a whopping $800, and she wasn’t willing to sit back and watch as Scarface meddled with it. When nothing was being done about the situation, Biggie resorted to violence, attempting to lunge at Scarface. Fortunately, various security guards were on deck to prevent things from escalating even further. Regardless, it appears as though she got at least one swing in.

While some cast members like Mariahlynn are glad to see Biggie advocating for herself, others like Natalie Nunn think she took it too far. Nunn is seen standing on a staircase amid the drama, declaring that it’s “done.” She again announced that the eviction notices had been issued, looking completely fed up with the beef. She did say earlier this month that she’s sick of being a mediator in all of this, and it appears as though she’s standing by her word. New “Baddies” Episode Preview Shows Biggie & Scarface Ramping Up Beef

Baddies East is starting to draw the lines in the sand more, and the true provocateurs of the season are emerging. Moreover, it seems like a lot of the cast members are identifying who they don’t like, or who have been the biggest problems so far in their eyes. Natalie Nunn certainly has an answer for this, as she got mad at Biggie for swinging on Scarface during a formal event for the Zeus Network TV series. Amid evictions for the ladies and other issues, this seemingly constituted as a bit of a last straw. For that, Nunn had quite the unique but conflict-driving solution.

Furthermore, she hosted a pool party for all the Baddies, in which Scarface was basically able to sucker punch Biggie, and another fight ensued. Previous episodes focused more on the feud between Mariahlynn and Smiley, whereas Sukihana has also been a big part of this season. However, with these new developments and changes in mind, maybe this will shape a different arc for this part of the show. Either way, we’re sure that more antics will follow, and that there will certainly be other cast members who get more of the smoke.

In other news, a recent shot at a super high-profile crossover within the rap game unfortunately passed by without a trace. This stems from a recent Instagram Live session from Nicki Minaj, where Keyshia Cole and Monica also joined her. In it, they asked viewers who else they should add to their girl group in order to make it a four-person team. When someone suggested Rollie Pollie from the Baddies universe, they didn’t seem to know who she was, something that for Rollie’s sake hopefully was rectified soon after.

Meanwhile, it’s unsurprising to see Natalie Nunn take stronger action against the cast members she thinks deserve comeuppance. After all, in previous episodes, she expressed exhaustion at having to mediate all these beefs. We’d bet that said mission won’t get any easier, and now it seems like she’s down to play that game rather than be its referee. Nicki Minaj Previews Funny Marco Interview

Nicki Minaj is throwing all hands on deck for the post-release promotion of her brand new album, Pink Friday 2. Moreover, fans are still poring over it, debating its quality, and picking their favorite tracks, a sentiment that will likely hold us over until the next project. However, she seems quite happy to bask in it all rather than take a break now, and she is promoting a lot of new interviews, conversations, bonus tracks, upcoming releases, appearances, her world tour, and so much more. The most recent example of this is a preview the rapper gave of an upcoming interview with comedian and social media star Funny Marco.

Previously, the two had met on Instagram Live to discuss the possibility of putting something together. For those unaware, Funny Marco is a new star in this slightly awkward, blunt, but nonetheless engaging and relatable brand of comedy these days. As such, we’re sure that he and Nicki Minaj had a great conversation filled with soon-to-be beloved moments. Either that or it was a much more chaotic and unhinged sit-down than expected, which we guess is its own bizarre form of engagement.

Nevertheless, this is the Trinidadian MC’s latest appearance with a notable content creator of sorts, and there are plenty of other notable ones. For example, she joined fellow New Yorker Kai Cenat for his recent Twitch stream, and it was about as much fun as you’d expect. Nicki Minaj tried to learn the Jersey club dance, but also had fun throwing it back for the chat. Considering that she’s not always outside despite a pretty heavy online presence, it’s actually quite sweet to see her engaging with fans, other creators, and the industry as a whole again. Not that the 41-year-old always has to, but we’d missed it for some time.

Meanwhile, with the return of Roman soon approaching, many fans can’t wait to see what other songs she will add onto Pink Friday 2. Kanye West Previews Young Thug Collaboration For Ty Dolla Sign Project

While showing off his new album with Ty Dolla Sign, Kanye West played a collaboration with Young Thug in Miami at Dukunoo Jamaican Kitchen on Sunday night. In one track, West remarks, “free Young Thug,” before also playing a verse from the incarcerated rapper. The evening comes after a surprise appearance at Art Basel.

When a clip of Ye previewing the Young Thug song began circulating on social media, fans had plenty of positive reactions. “This is the first time Kanye has ever actually let the beat drop when he played a teaser from one of his album. This is fire and I can’t wait to hear the full version!” one user wrote on Twitter. Another added: “Thug previewed this verse twice once in 2019 and once in 2021 but the beat is changed the og is gunna x thug prod Pierre.”

Kanye and Ty Dolla Sign shared their first single from the upcoming project, “Vultures,” in late November. The tracklist, which Ty shared on Instagram, last week, will also feature “New Body,” a popular unreleased song featuring Nicki Minaj. Natalie Nunn Announces Evictions On New “Baddies East” Episode

In a new preview for Baddies East, the drama only continues to unfold, as Rollie announces plans to inform various cast members that they’ve been kicked out of the house. Her plan includes some formal written notices, which are sure to stir the pot. “Can I write up a few evictions?” she asks Natalie Nunn, as she and others brainstorm who they would vote out. “I’m gonna write them.”

According to her, it’s crucial that everyone get together for a discussion about who’s in and who’s out, and to come up with “two or three” ladies that would be better off at home. Nunn later weighed in during a confessional, highlighting how the written notices are likely to cause major problems. She has some ideas as to who’ll be going home, too.

According to Nunn, Biggie and Smiley will be the first cast members to get voted out. “Ah sh*t, this is gonna be cr*zy,” she also adds. “You already know, an eviction notice? B*tch, it’s up.” Scarface also took the opportunity to weigh in on the conversation, letting everyone know that while she appears calm, she’ll be on “demon time” very soon. She was seen in another preview trying to move a few of Biggie’s belongings out of the house. As expected, Biggie didn’t take kindly to the gesture.

“Why are you allowing this girl to touch my sh*t?” she shouted before attempting to pry a bag out of Scarface’s hands. “You cannot afford this sh*t!” Tensions only rose from there, as Biggie then lunged toward Scarface and began throwing hands. A preview for Baddies East has arrived, promising plenty of drama in the new episode, which premieres tomorrow on Zeus. There’s never a dull moment between members of the cast, however, tensions appear to be higher than ever in the upcoming episode. Drama is brewing between Scarface and Biggie, with the former threatening to “check” her sometime soon. Expectedly, Mariahlynn and Smiley also continue to have problems.

Their beef only grows when Rollie tells Mariahlynn that Smiley’s been threatening her and her family behind her back. “You got me f*cked up,” she remarks, appearing shocked when hearing the news. They’re later seen getting into a physical altercation, and Mariahlynn makes it very clear that she won’t be tolerating the disrespect. “Don’t threaten my family,” she warns.

Later in the preview, Natalie Nunn announces that she and others have made the decision that Smiley, and presumably Mariahlynn, have been evicted from the house. “You’re not staying here,” she says, looking fed up with their ongoing feud. Of course, this isn’t the only fight viewers can expect on this week’s episode, as a couple more of the cast members also throw hands. Towards the end of the preview, Scarface appears to be moving some of Biggie’s belongings, sparking chaos.

Biggie wasn’t having it, yelling at her to stop touching her things. Frank Ocean Previews Unreleased Track

Earlier today, Frank Ocean hopped on social media to preview some upcoming music. In a new clip posted on his Instagram Story, he’s seen in a recording studio, grooving to an unreleased track. He didn’t share any details of when listeners can expect the project, but gave them a taste of what’s to come nonetheless.

The preview follows another snippet recently shared by the Long Beach native last month, which led to plenty of fan speculation. The minute-long audio-only clip, unveiled in November, led listeners to believe that he could have a new full-length offering on the horizon, which he appeared to confirm during his controversial Coachella set in April.

He reflected on the 2020 passing of his brother Ryan, noting how his life has changed since his death. “It’s been so long. Everybody talks about how long it’s been. ‘It’s been so long, it’s been so long,’” he said onstage. “But I have missed you… I want to talk about why I’m here, because it’s not because of a new album. It’s because — not that there’s not a new album… but there’s not right now. Chill, chill, chill. No, it’s not right now.” Some fans even theorized that he’d drop something new ahead of his appearance at the festival, however, they were left disappointed.

Listeners can only hope that this latest snippet indicates that he’ll drop sometime in the near future. 50 Cent Teases Diddy Documentary, Proceeds Will Go To Sexual Assault Victims

Ever since Cassie filed her lawsuit against Diddy last month, 50 Cent has been trolling him on social media. He’s poked fun at his longtime rival as lawsuits continue to roll out, eventually announcing plans to make a documentary based on the allegations. 50 Cent previously claimed that he’d be taking notes from the docuseries Surviving R. Kelly days after Diddy and Cassie settled, and announced that it’s officially in the works last week.

“RAPPER ?” he captioned a screenshot of a Page Six story about his upcoming documentary. “I thought Diddy was a Billionaire music mogul, If he’s smart he will file bankruptcy now. Anyone with real money knows why I’m saying this. I’m the best producer for the job guys. Here come the receipts.” Now, he’s announced that the proceeds from the documentary will be going to victims of sexual assault.

“All G-Unit Film & Television proceeds from this Documentary will go to victims of Sexual Assault and Rape !” he captioned a preview of the documentary, which featured former Bad Boy artist Mark Curry. Fans are glad that Fif plans to put the money towards a good cause, and in general, look forward to the documentary. As for Diddy, things aren’t looking good, as a fourth woman came forward recently accusing him of sexual assault.

The anonymous woman alleges that he, along with Harve Pierre and another unnamed man, gang raped her in 2003 when she was only 17 years old. According to her, she met Pierre in Detroit as a high schooler, and he allegedly invited her to visit Diddy’s studio in NYC. She alleges that when she arrived Diddy asked her to sit in his lap, and after providing her with drugs and alcohol, assaulted her with the other two men. Pharrell Previews Swae Lee & Rauw Alejandro Collab At Louis Vuitton Fashion Show

As Louis Vuitton’s creative director, you can expect Pharrell to take good care of the aux at its fashion shows. Moreover, he recently hosted one on Friday night (December 1) to show off his new collection for the brand, and was joined by some special guests. Most notably, Swae Lee– the superstar who formed Rae Sremmurd with his brother– and Rauw Alejandro– the Puerto Rican superstar making waves for his sci-fi-inspired take on reggaetón– had a great time at the show, sitting in the runway’s front row. Not only that, but Skateboard P actually previewed a collaboration between the two.

Furthermore, Pharrell played the unreleased team-up as the models strutted their stuff. Swae Lee and Rauw Alejandro mime-performed their own verses, and then stood up together to dance, sing along, laugh, and show off each other’s fits. It’s unclear whether the “At The Party” producer actually made this beat, which is a cohesive fusion of reggaetón, R&B, and dancehall stylings. We can safely assume he did, not just because of the circumstance of the premiere, but because it’s a pretty awesome groove, too.

Of course, Pharrell has a long and legendary history of collaborating with amazing artists to make timeless music. However, it’s something that he’s pretty humble about when comparing himself to his other producer friends, and we had a wholesome example of that with Timbaland recently. While they attended Swizz Beatz’s birthday dinner together, they debated over who has the better team-up tracks with Jay-Z. Rather than argue for themselves, they argued for each other’s catalog, which is a camaraderie that’s rare to see in today’s competitive environment.

Meanwhile, there’s also a lot of speculation about what Mr. Williams will drop next when it comes to music. Recently, he suggested that N.E.R.D. could be coming back to release new material, which obviously got fans very excited.
