Recently, the Queen released her first single specifically part of this new album’s rollout, “Last Time I Saw You.” Moreover, the pop fusion cut’s been heavy in fan rotation since its release, and this plus the project’s title hints at a revitalization of what makes her such a unique voice in music. Die-hards probably thought that this would be enough to carry them home to the LP’s November 2023 release date. However, given that Nicki is always looking to one-up herself, they have never been happier to be so wrong.

Not only that, but the Trinidadian MC also revealed that it’s one of two album covers, and we assume that this is the main one for use on streaming services. After all, if Travis Scott can release five different covers for UTOPIA‘s physical releases, why shouldn’t the Barb have her fun, too?

Will Drake Be On Nicki Minaj’s ‘Pink Friday 2?’

Nicki Minaj is gearing up for her massive Pink Friday 2 album, as she recently teased her plans for the project during an interview with Zane Lowe on Apple Music (via Billboard.) The rapper recently previewed the album with her new song, “Last Time I Saw You.”

“I just wanted the next song that I put out to represent my growth,” she shared. “Not just as an artist, but as a human being. I’ve experienced so many things that I hadn’t experienced five years ago, and that’s just the truth.”

She also opened up to Lowe about her and Drake’s upcoming collaboration on his next album, For All The Dogs. While not much is known about it, and Minaj did stay pretty secretive, she is excited for what’s to come.

“I’ll just say I really love the song,” Minaj said. “I know my fans are going to love the song. I know the world’s going to love the song. And that’s all I will say about that.”

However, as for Drake crossing over onto Pink Friday 2, it seems it is still up in the air.

“Barbz, make sure y’all let Drizzy Drake know that Pink Friday 2 is coming out Nov. 17 as well,” she added, going on to point out that she wouldn’t mind him giving a feature on her album too. “And we are waiting on his contribution.”

With anticipation for Drake’s album For All The Dogs ratcheting up every passing day, there are certainly some fans wondering which of the Toronto rapper’s A-list friends will make appearances on the tracklist. While he’s had quite the run with 21 Savage lately, he’s also had some impressive runs throughout his career with the likes of Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, and Travis Scott.

But there’s one artist he’s close with we haven’t seen him collaborate with for a long time: Nicki Minaj. While the two Young Money artists rose in parallel with each other, in recent years, they’ve worked together less than they did when they were starting out. So, understandably there are plenty of fans wondering whether they’ll reunite on one of their upcoming albums (Nicki’s Pink Friday 2 is due in November).

Fortunately, they’re getting some good news on that front. During an interview with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe, Nicki revealed that she’ll have a guest appearance on Drake’s upcoming album. “You know, I have a song on Drake’s album coming out soon too,” she said. “I love the song so much. I’ll just say I really love the song. I know my fans are going to love the song. I know the world’s going to love the song. At long last, Nicki Minaj is back. Tonight (September 1), the Queen Barb has shared her new single, “Last Time I Saw You,” just two months ahead of her upcoming fifth studio album, Pink Friday 2.

On “Last Time I Saw You,” Nicki taps into her vocals, delivering a pop and R&B-influenced hit with a painfully relatable message. Throughout the song, she expresses regret for not holding someone closer the last time she saw them.

“I wish I’da hugged you tighter the last time that I saw you / I wish l didn’t waste precious time that night when I called you / I wish I remembered to say I’d do anything for you / Maybe I pushed you away because I thought that I’d bore you,” she sings.

With “Last Time I Saw You,” the Barbz are sure to keep the song on repeat as they dance this form of universal pain away.

Nicki hasn’t revealed too much about her upcoming album, but back in July, she teased a “masterpiece,” saying that her new collection of songs would “save & restore hope in mankind.”

Nicki Minaj struck down claims that she sampled Tupac on her upcoming album. With Pink Friday 2 set to release on Nov. 17th, marking Nicki’s first album in five years, the Queen Of Rap has been previewing new music online. However, the highly-anticipated project has also been subject to much speculation and rumors. One fan page took to Twitter to allege that she sampled an iconic Tupac song for the project. “Nicki Minaj samples Tupac’s ‘Picture Me Rollin” in new untitled track on her upcoming album Pink Friday 2,” the tweet reads.

The Pink Friday rapper is undoubtedly among the most vocal artists on social media, frequently interacting with the Barbz and setting records straight when needed. Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem as though we’ll be hearing Nicki rap over the iconic sample as she shut down the rumors on Twitter shortly after the claims emerged. “No tf I did not,” Nicki wrote in response. Still, the fan, who tweets under the handle @NickiMinajAccess, celebrated the acknowledgment from Nicki as a win.

We are still far from Pink Friday 2, but Nicki Minaj has the Barbz excited. Minaj hit Twitter and dropped off some new snippets, keeping their interest high. Check them out below.

Nicki Minaj continues to get fans ready for Pink Friday 2. In her latest tweet update, Minaj guarantees “eargasms” as she worked on her current Top 2 songs from the body of work.

“Yesterday I worked on my current TOP 2 songs off PF2,” Minaj wrote on Twitter. “The eargasms that YALL are about to have. Ooohhhh chiiiii huntyyyyy don’t make dat serveeee.”

In a previous update, Minaj declared what would happen when Pink Friday 2 dropped.

“Y’all, I’m not even kidding. In 111 days…Pink Friday 2 is coming to save & restore hope in mankind omg barbz I love you I dooooo!” Minajr wrote.

In a separate tweet, she stated, “The barbz will gather around the camp fire and well… you’ll have to wait to see what we do next.”
