Pete Davidson Has Another Car Crash After Stand-Up Comedy Show

Just a few months after he received reckless driving charges for a car crash, it seems like Pete Davidson had another road accident. Of course, that doesn’t automatically mean it was under the same circumstances, or that this isn’t something that could happen to pretty much anyone. Still, previous context does slightly inform this incident, and if nothing else, it’s an interesting thread to follow. Moreover, Page Six reported that the comedian left his stand-up comedy show at The Wiltern in Los Angeles on Saturday night (September 30). Specifically, it was apparently after an afterparty, as he left at around 10pm in a busted-up SUV.

However, it’s unclear whether the Saturday Night Live affiliate was the one who crashed it, or if it was someone else from his team. From what photos of the report indicate, it seems like Pete Davidson was the one who drove the car out of the parking garage. Not only that, but sources reportedly told the publication that passerby screamed when they heard the accident, and saw him emerge from the vehicle. The “King Of Staten Island” was with four other people in the car when he drove out, and he apparently hit the vehicle’s side while exiting according to an eyewitness. As such, this is all based on alleged testimonies.

In addition, apparently he held a cigarette of some kind with his hands on the wheel, seen in Page Six‘s pictures. At the very least this accident wasn’t as serious as the one back in March, where the car crash happened against a Beverly Hills home with now ex-girlfriend Chase Sui Wonders. Pete Davidson received orders to do 50 hours of community service as repentance, and seemingly dodged a criminal offense on his record. This time around, it was a much more harmless and fortunately less scary incident.

Meanwhile, this compounds with growing concern for the 29-year-old’s mental health following his stint in rehab. There’s clearly a lot going on in his life, and all the paparazzi flashes and love life gossip can’t help. Numerous sources have told PEOPLE that Pete Davidson and Madison Cline are dating. First reported by Us Weekly, the relationship comes about a month after Davidson broke up with his Bodies Bodies Bodies co-star Chase Sui Wonders. “Pete and Madelyn are dating. They spent the night together at the Beverly Hills Hotel and then had breakfast together there the next morning. They were really low-key and kept things casual, wearing baseball hats,” a source told the outlet.

Cline is best known for her work on the Netflix drama, Outer Banks. She plays Sarah Cameron, the daughter of a rich developer who chooses to hang out on the lower-class side of the show’s setting, North Carolina’s Outer Banks. It’s unclear how she and Davidson met. Her last confirmed partners were DJ Zack Bia and her Outer Banks co-star Chase Stokes.

The couple had been together since around December 2022 after meeting on the set of the A24 horror film. “He’s single again. He’s out and about and doing really well,” a source told the outlet. It was the first headline surrounding Davidson since he voluntarily checked himself into rehab in June. After receiving in-patient therapy for PTSD and BPD, Davidson reportedly left the facility in July.

“There’s no bad blood or any hard feelings between them. Pete Davidson fired back at an audience member after performing at the Wind Creek Event Center in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, on Saturday night. The fan had accused the former Saturday Night Live star of making a racist joke on stage. According to the U.S. Sun, Davidson returned to the stage after his set with fellow comedians Jon Stewart and John Mulaney to speak with the audience.

At this point, a fan shouted out that Davidson is a “racist.” In response, he quickly fired back “You’re a cunt. Sit the fuck down!” Stewart attempted to calm the situation down by joking “clean up in aisle 3.” The three comedians soon walked off stage.

The interaction comes after Davidson checked himself into rehab earlier this year. He was battling with his borderline personality disorder and PTSD. “Pete regularly goes to rehab for ‘tune ups’ and to take a mental break, so that’s what’s happening,” a source told Page Six at the time. PETA Unveils Pete Davidson Halloween Costume

PETA is refusing to let go of their recent viral fame after Pete Davidson left an expletive-filled voicemail for a senior exec at the animal charity. TMZ revealed that PETA will be selling a Pete Davidson Halloween costume for $100, with all money going to their spay and neuter programs. The costume includes a mask of Davidson’s face, a baseball cap with a censored expletive, a hoodie that reads “I should have adopted” and a small toy dog with a bandana that reads “Shelter Dogs Rule”.

Alongside the launch of the costume, PETA President Ingrid Newkirk released a statement about the costume. “It’s too late for Pete to undo his puppy purchase or that voice mail, but it’s never too late to save a dog’s life by choosing adoption and shunning pet shops and other dog breeders.” Newkirk also said that the proceeds of the costume would go towards helping reduce the stray and homeless animal population in the United States.

However, speaking with TMZ, Davidson’s team didn’t find the costume very funny. “It’s disgusting they’d capitalize on someone’s mental health and not to mention illegal to use his likeness,” a source told the outlet. Pete Davidson Heads To Rehab Over Mental Health Struggles

Pete Davidson has reportedly admitted himself to a rehab center in Pennsylvania. Originally reported by Page Six, Davidson has been struggling with PTSD and other mental health issues in recent weeks. However, according to one friend, this is nothing out of the ordinary for Davidson. “Pete regularly goes to rehab for ‘tune ups’ and to take a mental break, so that’s what’s happening,” the friend told Page Six.

“Anyone who knows Pete knows that he will always step up and get help when he knows he needs it. He has a lot of people in his corner who love him and support him, and are proud of him. [He is] taking a well deserved break so he can focus on himself and learn to better deal with his PTSD issues.” Davidson’s father, a New York firefighter, died during the 9/11 attacks in 2001. Davidson was just seven years old at the time.

It’s been a rough couple of weeks for Davidson overall. After earning criticism for his new puppy, Davidson left a heated voicemail for an executive director of PETA. After the voicemail was made public, Davidson apologized. “It was a poor choice of words. I shouldn’t have said what I said, but I am not sorry for standing up for myself and my family.” It’s very similar to the apology Davidson was forced to make by SNL after making jokes about Republican congressman Dan Crenshaw.

Furthermore, Davidson has also been charged with reckless driving over an incident in March. Davidson was traveling with his girlfriend, Chase Sui Wonders, when he lost control of the vehicle and crashed into the side of a house in Beverly Hills. Pete Davidson Charged With Reckless Driving After March Crash

In early March, it was reported that Pete Davidson and Chase Sui Wonders had been involved in a car accident. Reportedly, the couple had struck a home in Beverly Hills while driving in Davidson’s Mercedes. At the time, police had ruled out that Davidson had been driving under the influence. Later, a video emerged online showing the car leaving the road and destroying a fire hydrant before crashing into the corner of a home.

While no one was hurt in the accident, the idea that Davidson may be charged was floated in April. Law enforcement revealed to TMZ that they had sent the case to the Los Angeles District Attorney for the consideration of charges. Davidson was not cited at the time of the original crash. However, the District Attorney’s Office has now made their decision.

According to TMZ, Davidson has been officially charged with reckless driving. “Luckily, no one was seriously injured as a result of this collision. We know that reckless driving can have devastating consequences. In 2022, traffic fatalities in Los Angeles have reached the highest levels seen in 20 years. This is an alarming trend that we cannot ignore. As a result, it’s crucial that we take all allegations of reckless driving seriously and hold those responsible accountable,” a representative from the DA’s Office told the outlet. However, Davidson is not facing any charges relating to driving under the influence.

Reckless driving is a fairly serious charge. Penalties can include up to 90 days in jail, a $1000 charge, and points on your license. As no one was injured and the damage caused was relatively minor, Davidson should be able to avoid jail time. However, the destruction of both a utility (the fire hydrant) and private property could warrant a hefty fine and potentially further consequences in civil court. Pete Davidson can currently be seen in his star-studded, semi-autobiographical comedy, Bupkis. Furthermore, while Davidson was supposed to make a return to SNL as a host in May, the WGA strike led to the cancellation of the episode. However, Davidson didn’t seem too bothered, voicing his support for the strike and bringing pizza to a picket in New York. Davidson’s next film release is expected to be Dumb Money, a film about the short squeeze of GameStop in January 2021. He also recently beefed with PETA.

Meanwhile, white boys playing basketball is once again a topic of debate following the release of Hulu’s White Men Can’t Jump remake. While the film was critically panned, it did thrust lanky white boys back into the hooping spotlight. Of course, Davidson was not in White Men Can’t Jump. Furthermore, the comedian’s most memorable link to basketball is an old SNL skit about the Cleveland Cavaliers. That is until a surprise Twitter post on June 7.

Davidson’s basketball skills were revealed by the University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV). The 28-second hype reel shows Davidson making lay-ups, jumpers, and a handful of full-court assists. Honestly, he’s not half-bad. Obviously, it’s edited footage from a casual scrimmage but he’s not exactly making a fool of himself out there. The 6″3 Davidson looks decently at home on the court. Last season, the Runnin’ Rebels went 18-12, finishing seventh in the Mountain West Conference. They reached the second round of the conference tournament before falling to Boise State. Furthermore, they were not invited to any postseason tournaments.

It’s unclear how the collaboration came about. Davidson is from New York and did not attend college. Meanwhile, his girlfriend Chase Sui Wonders was born in Michigan and graduated from Harvard. It’s quite possible that a brave social media manager heard Davidson would be in Vegas and decided to shoot their shot. However, Davidson’s apparent basketball abilities should earn him an invite for the next NBA All-Star celebrity game. Davidson has been spotted at numerous NBA games and seems like the perfect fit for the informal event.

Pete Davidson Escalates PETA Beef With Crazy Voicemail

The next chapter in a newly sparked beef between Pete Davidson and PETA features a profanity-laced voicemail from the former. The beef started when Davidson was filmed buying a dog from a New York pet store instead of adopting one from a shelter. Following the video PETA made a statement expressing their disagreement with the decision. Apparently, Davidson took quite an issue with that move.

According to TMZ, Davidson chose to respond with a profanity-laced voicemail for PETA executive Daphna Nachminovitch. On the call, he argues that because he’s allergic to dogs he had to find a specific breed that would have been difficult to locate in a shelter. From that point, the voicemail goes on an angry rant. Apparently, Pete was getting the dog for his mother to replace another dog that had recently died. He brings it up in the voicemail as an explanation for his action.

In a response to the situation, PETA said “Our hearts go out to the Davidson family for the loss of their dog, but Pete must know in his heart that there’s no excuse for buying a dog and propping up the puppy mill industry when millions of dogs await loving homes in shelters.” After the voicemail was made public Davidson issued an apology. In his statement, he lamented his anger and emotion but defended his motivations. “It was a poor choice of words. I shouldn’t have said what I said, but I am not sorry for standing up for myself and my family.”

Controversy has followed Pete Davidson around for years most notably his time with Kim Kardashian. Kim and Pete’s relationship returned to many people’s minds recently when the topic was covered on an episode of The Kardashians. Pete was also slated to return to Saturday Night Live last month, his first time back since leaving the show.
