Cardi B Explains Why She Didn’t Address Rumors About Offset & Saweetie

Prepare to be inundated with news about Cardi B. The “Up” rapper recently sat down with her friend Jason Lee for his new Revolt series, and she’s addressing all the controversies she once avoided. We’ve been steadily reporting on the updates from the intimate interview, and the latest clip focuses on those rumors about Saweetie and Offset.

Lee asked why Cardi decided not to respond to the gossip. “You know why I was quiet?” she answered. “I was quiet because one thing I’m gonna do, I’m gonna find out the truth.”

“And you know that I was finding out that truth,” she continued. “So, it’s like, if I entertain something that I know is not true, on the internet, people be like, ‘Oh, it is true because you’re addressing it. But when I don’t address it, it’s true or not, as well.”

“So, I’m like, you know what? I’m just not gonna entertain the bullsh*t, because if I entertain it, it’s gonna keep goin’ longer and longer,” Cardi also added. “At the end of the day, I know what’s going on in my house.”

Lee commended Cardi on her growth for knowing when to restrain from getting involved in social media shenanigans.

“When the Selena girl said she was pregnant by Offset, and she was showing her stomach,” said Cardi. “She even showed the baby and everything. And I was going so hard like, ‘It’s not true!’ Every single time that I kept saying this, it’s not true, people on purpose kept saying, ‘It’s true!’

“So, it’s like, I have learned from those experiences not to even address things that’s going on in my home,” she continued. “When I know the truth. ‘Cause it’s like, people gonna make it worse, ’cause it’s just entertainment.”

The rumors of Offset and Saweetie first took off after it was alleged that Quavo hinted at the affair. On his track “Messy” Takeoff, Quavo rapped: “B*tch f*cked my dawg behind my back, but I ain’t stressin’ (Not at all) / You wanted the gang, you shoulda just said it, we would have blessed it (You shoulda just said it) / Now sh*t got messy (Uh).”

Later, Cardi said Offset would address the rumor on his next album. “STAY TUNED,” she wrote at the time. Listen to Cardi explain herself above.

Cardi Remembers Offset’s Immediate Reaction To The News Of The Late Takeoff’s Death

2023 is looking like the year of Cardi B’s return. A couple of days ago, the rapper teased her first album in five years. She also just hopped on the first episode of the REVOLT show to catch fans up on what she’s doing. The episode is full of a lot of interesting conversation, but she also discussed remembering Offset’s reaction to the tragic death of Takeoff.

“We was in bed,” she said. “We was going to go to La La’s party in New York, and my daughter threw up all over my costume… We just fell asleep, and out of nowhere, Offset’s phone kept ringing, and mine kept ringing.”

She continued, “Offset picked up the phone, and he’s just like ‘No!’ screaming [over and over].” Finally, when his wife asked what was wrong, Offset replied, “Takeoff is dead.”

She smacked her husband in disbelief, begging him not to say something so horrible.

Earlier this month, other Migos member Quavo shared a heartbreaking tribute to Takeoff, “Without You.” It captures the rapper’s grief in graphic detail. “Tears rolling down my eyes / Can’t tell you how many times I cried / Days ain’t the same without you,” he sang.

Hit-Boy Drops New Single "2 Live" Featuring Offset

And just like that, Hit-Boy is back to work. The super producer has delivered on his promise and dropped the new single “2 Live,” paring him with Offset. The single comes as a part of a collaboration with Hit-Boy’s Mixed & Mastered collaboration with Patron.

According to Hit, the new single is inspired by Patron’s EL ALTO, which drops later this month.

The new single evokes the spirit of Uncle Luke and the 2 Live Crew with a blend of Hit-Boy’s Cali flavor.

Offset And Hit-Boy Pay Homage To Some Miami Legends On Their New Single, ‘2 Live’

Offset and Hit-Boy have a banger on their hands. On their new single, “2 Live,” the two pay homage to Miami rap legends 2 Live Crew.

Both the superproducer and the Migos member show off their rap chops over the bouncy, strip-club-ready beat, on which, classic 2 Live Crew adlibs can be heard throughout.

“2 Live, 2 Live, b*tch, she get freaky like an Uncle Luke album,” raps Hit-Boy on the song’s chorus.

Both hip-hop stars show their chemistry throughout the track, as they bounce off of each other’s bars.

On Offset‘s verse, he wows the ladies with his charm and his style, rapping “Ring around the rosey / I bought her Chanel / Now takin’ pictures posin’.”

While it’s unclear whether “2 Live” will be a standalone single or a part of Offset’s or Hit-Boy’s upcoming projects, the latter teased a few concepts for albums and mixtapes last year during an interview with XXL.

“I been seeing a lot of people saying I should do a compilation of my own with my beats and just different artists,” he said. “That’s something I wanna turn up on. Look out for that Hit-Boy compilation. My rap album, too. I got all types of joints coming.”

In the meantime, you can check out “2 Live” above.

Offset & Hit-Boy Link Up For “2 LIVE”

Offset and Hit-Boy have united for an entertaining new single in “2 LIVE.”

Although he does handle the production on the new upbeat song, Hit-Boy also comes through to spit a verse of his own. He helps in delivering the catchy hook as well.

“Ain’t no such thing as too thick, she wear a waist trainer in the crib / Started an OnlyFans, gettin’ tips, seven-six-two, her ass that big / Marni sweatеrs, ran it up at Websters / She can make a post breakup feel better,” raps the “Racks in the Middle” producer.

Offset follows suit and continues the infectious energy. “She get crazy, I blew eighty / We got faded, I woke up, bought her Mercedes / Racks on top of the table, she got Birkins, alligators / She was a waiter, but she left you for my paper,” raps the 31-year-old to kick off his verse.

The “Ric Flair Drip” rapper dropped off two singles last year. The first of which is “54321,” whose beat comes from Baby Keem with the help of Mike Dean and others. He subsequently released “CODE” with Moneybagg Yo in August.

Additionally, he also makes an appearance on SleazyWorld Go‘s fiery track from last year, “Step 1.”

Offset’s last full-length release is still his 2019 debut solo album, FATHER OF 4. In 2017, he connected with 21 Savage and Metro Boomin for the monstrous collaboration, Without Warning.

However, the new song does serve as Offset’s first release since the tragic passing of his cousin. Long Live Takeoff.

Quotable Lyrics:

Too live, too live, b*tch, you too live
She get freaky like a Uncle Luke album
Too live, too live, b*tch
Bounce that sh*t, shake that sh*t, I’m throwin’ these blues and I can’t miss
