Young Thug hasn’t had a ton of luck as of late, as he continues to battle RICO charges in a highly publicized trial. Earlier this week, a judge denied his request for release on bond. “I am not going to reconsider any bond issues that have already been ruled on absent legitimate changed circumstances,” she declared.

The judge in question was Paige Reese Whitaker, who was assigned to the case last month after two other judge’s recusals. While the rapper may not be seeing an end to his long-winded legal battle anytime soon, he’s got at least one thing going for him, his relationship with Mariah The Scientist. The Atlanta-born songstress was recently spotted supporting him in court, wearing a smile as she looked on from her seat.

Mariah The Scientist Supports Young Thug In Court

Mariah has never shown any signs of straying from the relationship amid Young Thug’s incarceration. She opened up about her dedication in an interview last year, making it clear that she’s here to stay. “I feel like, and this is in all honesty, there is nobody on planet Earth that can get between me and supporting my man,” she told Access Atlanta. “I’m sorry, it’s just not gonna happen.”

Mariah has since been hard at work cheering Young Thug on from the outside. She’s also dealt with her own legal issues in recent months, however. In May, she was arrested for her alleged role in a brawl at a local club. She was later charged with simple battery and pleaded not guilty in July. For example, while some folks are debating what they thought about her new album Y2K, others think that the heavy rollout for the project is indicating a more personal change in her life. Moreover, a lot of fans think that the Bronx femcee is rapidly losing weight, and her latest Instagram post showing off her tiny waist is yet another indicator of that for some users out there.

While plenty of people think she’s just hitting the gym or don’t really care whether or not she’s losing weight, others are more concerned with what they see as a very fast process or are unhappy with how folks are speaking on the matter so casually. Furthermore, Ice Spice hasn’t really directly addressed this conversation outright at press time, so we don’t think that she minds it too much or else we would’ve heard something by now. What’s more is that this isn’t even the most contentious part of Ice Spice’s public-facing persona right now, as Y2K got its fair share of hate from rap fans. Nevertheless, her opening tour show in Washington, D.C. seemed to be quite the packed and energetic affair, so we’re sure that this will drown out a lot of the negativity behind this album cycle. Also, we can’t rule out a critical reevaluation down the line, even if we doubt that would arrive anytime soon. At least it’s more understandable and less invasive to critique art rather than a waistline.

Meanwhile, Ice Spice has a lot of other narratives to address, like her recent comments on her at-arm’s-length-relationship with Nicki Minaj. In the weeks and months following Y2K, we’re sure we will get plenty of more reflections on this era and what her headspace is looking like. But maybe this fan speculation over supposed weight loss won’t be a part of those conversations. Perhaps it’s best for fans to just mind their own business before speculating on someone else’s.

Don Lemon and Elon Musk’s working relationship certainly soured quickly after their interview for their media partnership on Twitter went less than stellar. After the former’s show on the social media platform was swiftly canceled after just this one episode, it seems like he wants to seek even more retribution for this breakdown. Moreover, the journalist reportedly filed a lawsuit against the tech tycoon on Thursday (August 1), according to supposed court documents reportedly obtained by TMZ. Specifically, Lemon claims that Musk refused to honor his promise to pay him for this partnership after they fell out following their interview.

Furthermore, Don Lemon specifically claims that Elon Musk verbally promised to pay him $1.5 million a year for making content for Twitter, given that he needed a boost in advertisers after a dip in revenue. He also alleges that Musk promised him a share of the advertising revenue generated by the posts, as well as other monetary incentives corresponding to his growth and popularity on the social media platform. As such, Don believes that the Tesla magnate is breaking the law by walking back on this arrangement, although he admitted that there isn’t a written contract in place concerning these terms.

Don Lemon Sues Elon Musk

Still, Don Lemon maintains that Elon Musk gave him his confident assurance about this payment structure and other aspects via a phone call. In fact, he also claimed that Musk promised to continue to support him financially even if he didn’t like the content that he brought to the table. Don’s first project with Twitter was the Elon interview, and his responses to drug use and politics questions made the writing on the wall clear. But he claims that he had already been pressured to announce this partnership at the CES Vegas tech conference and risked losing it if he didn’t go to the conference along with Twitter’s CEO Linda Yaccarino.

“X’s executives used Don to prop up their advertising sales pitch, then canceled their partnership and dragged Don’s name through the mud,” Don Lemon’s lawyer Carney Shegerian remarked concerning the lawsuit alleging fraud, negligent misrepresentation, name and likeness misappropriation, breach of contract, and other accusations for which he seeks unspecified damages. “His approach was basically just ‘CNN, but on social media,’ which doesn’t work, as evidenced by the fact that CNN is dying,” Elon Musk had written of Lemon. “And, instead of it being the real Don Lemon, it was really just Jeff Zucker talking through Don, so lacked authenticity. All this said, Lemon/Zucker are of course welcome to build their viewership on this platform along with everyone else.”

Yesterday, a message on the YZY website seemingly confirmed the release date of Kanye West and Ty Dolla Sign’s highly anticipated project, Vultures 2. “VULTURES 2 COMING AUGUST 2ND,” the message read, leaving fans eager to hear what’s to come. Many were also skeptical about the announcement, however, as it wasn’t the first release date they’d heard. The album was originally slated for release in March, then May, then put on hold indefinitely.

“I’ll believe it when I see it,” one fan said on X upon reading the news. “Believe at your own risk,” another urged. Now, it appears as though these commenters could have been onto something, as the announcement has been wiped from the YZY site. Of course, this doesn’t necessarily mean that Vultures 2 won’t arrive tomorrow, but it’s certainly managed to fuel fans’ suspicions.

Curtis Jackson Sr. was 91 years old at the time of his passing, and his cause of death has not yet been revealed.

“You do know none of this sh*t really matters, [winking emoji] we can’t take it with us. I lost my Grandfather last night, now he can go everywhere with me,” Fif wrote. In a subsequent post, he shared a series of photos of his late family member, penning a heartfelt message about his grandfather and his sense of humor.
