When he and Chrisean Rock’s feuding was taking over social media earlier this year, Blueface made it his mission to turn his first baby mama, Jaidyn Alexis, into a rap diva to rival the beast he had unleashed in his Cr*zy In Love co-star. To the surprise of many, he succeeded with flying colours, as the 26-year-old’s fourth single of the year, “Barbie,” went viral in no time. As that continues to blast at clubs across the country this holiday season, it looks as though Alexis and her baby daddy might be celebrating Christmas separately.

It was only two months ago that Blue got down on one knee and proposed to his high school sweetheart at an NFL game. However, for the past few weeks, breakup rumours have been running rampant. After Alexis and Rock put their beef aside to team up and trash the “Thotiana” rapper’s house, he went on the record and said he only gave his first MILF Music signee a ring to make her happy.

Are Jaidyn Alexis and MILF Music Parting Ways?

Now, it seems Alexis is matching Blue’s energy and pouring into herself after removing the label’s booking address from her IG bio. She hasn’t replaced the former contents with any new information, though the post above from Hollywood Unlocked does show how substantially her platform has grown over the past few months. She’s nearing 900K followers as 2023 comes to an end, which is a huge jump from the 498K she had before.

Even if she and Blueface only remain in each other’s lives in a co-parenting capacity going forward, we certainly haven’t seen the last of Jaidyn Alexis. Earlier this week, she appeared on Funny Marco’s internet show, Open Thoughts, just days before her baby daddy also filmed an awkward conversation with the comedian. Takeoff’s Sexual Assault Accuser Wants His Mother To Replace Him As The Defendant In Her Lawsuit

Takeoff tragically passed away in November of 2022. But two years earlier the former Migos rapper was accused of sexual assault by an anonymous woman. In a lawsuit she filed, she claims that the rapper assaulted her at a party in Los Angeles. Her story details advances he made against her throughout the night before ultimately following her into a bedroom and forcing himself on her. The story is detailed and traumatizing but was obviously disrupted by the rapper’s untimely death last year.

Now, after months of legal ambiguity, the anonymous woman is making her next move. She asked the judge in the case if Takeoff’s mother, Titiana Davenport could be made the defendant in the case. Davenport is the acting administrator for the late rapper’s estate. As a result she manages the money he could have potentially owed himself if the court didn’t rule in his favor. A hearing was scheduled for February of next year to determine whether or not Davenport will be made the new defendant in the case.

Takeoff’s Mother Could Become The Defendant In His Assault Suit

In the comments of a new post recapping the case, fans are divided. As you’d expect many come to the late rapper’s defense. “Suing his mother for something her GROWN son might have allegedly done while alive.. the work of the Devil,” and “Wow that’s an all time LOW” two of the top comments on the post read. But elsewhere others debate more seriously on whether she should be allowed to seek some justice. “So he assaulted her and she suppose let it go cause he was in a rap group?” and “It’s so sad how y’all protect these rappers,” two other comments read.

Last month, both Quavo and Offset paid tribute to Takeoff on the one-year anniversary of his death. The two reunited on stage at the BET Awards earlier this year for a surprise performance. Quando Rondo Pleads Not Guilty To New Federal Drug Charges

Over the weekend, Quando Rondo was arrested by the FBI in Savannah. It’s the most recent in a long series of legal troubles for the rapper and it could prove to be the most serious. He was hit with a large indictment of more than a dozen charges. Included in the indictment are counts of conspiracy to possess and distribute controlled substances. There are also charges related to illegal possession of a firearm. Rondo and others are accused of conspiring to distribute cocaine, fentanyl, methamphetamine, and marijuana.

Earlier today, Rondo appeared in court to be read his charges and give his official plea. Unsurprisingly, he pleaded not guilty to the charges. That was the only major development while he was in court today but he’s expected to be back soon. He’ll return to court later this week for a bond hearing in an attempt to get released from police custody. It’s unclear whether he will be granted the opportunity for release given his troubled history with the law and the major implications of the allegations. Quando Rondo Pleas Not Guilty

These new legal developments follow an already hectic year for Rondo. He was already indicted once this year and accused of being the leader of a gang. He was also accused of propping up a conspiracy to sell marijuana in order to buy hydrocodone pills. Rondo later accused someone in his circle of snitching and claims that’s what led to his eventual indictment. He was granted bond for the case in June and an attempt by the prosecution to revoke it was shot down in July.

Later in July, Rondo got into a serious car accident. There was speculation that he was under the influence and was even given Narcan after exhibiting the early symptoms of an overdose. As a result of his ongoing legal trouble, he was nearly banned from his hometown. It wasn’t until last month that he finally learned that he wouldn’t be banned after a judge declined the ruling. 18. A Bittersweet Month

Big Pokey Passes Away

Houston’s music scene mourned the loss of a legend on June 18, as Big Pokey, aged 45, tragically passed away. 

The rapper collapsed on stage while performing at a bar in Beaumont, Texas, due to a heart attack. Despite being rushed to a nearby hospital, Big Pokey could not be revived, leaving fans and fellow artists devastated by his unexpected departure. 

The 2023 BET Awards

The BET Awards, known for its cultural significance, took place on June 25 and provided a platform for memorable moments. 

One highlight of the night was the reunion of Migos on stage. Offset and Quavo came together once again to pay tribute to their late bandmate, Takeoff. Their performance served as a poignant reminder of the musical legacy left behind by the trio. 

Another standout moment came when legendary singer Patti Labelle graced the stage to honor the iconic Tina Turner, who had passed away the previous month. Labelle delivered a heartfelt rendition of Turner’s 1989 hit, “The Best,” despite some struggles with reading the teleprompter.

Amidst the 2023 Father’s Day celebrations, drama unfolded between Kimora Lee and Russell Simmons, stirring up controversy. 

It all began when Kimora and Russell’s daughter, Ming Lee Simmons, took to Instagram to honor her mother, omitting any mention of her father. This sparked a series of revelations from Russell’s other daughter, Aoki Lee Simmons, who accused their father of narcissistic and abusive behavior throughout their lives. 

Aoki also disclosed Russell’s attempts to coerce Ming Lee into signing over her inheritance by sending people to their residences.

The extent of the drama was further detailed by Kimora, who claimed that Russell had harassed her and Aoki by contacting their friends and had even blackballed Aoki from the fashion industry. The situation reached such a point that Aoki contemplated legal action.

Ty Dolla Sign shared the official artwork on Instagram, Tuesday afternoon, while instructing fans to presave the project on streaming services. The reveal had fans in his comments section hyped for the release.

“FOR ALL MY DOGS THAT STAYED DOWN WE UP AGAIN,” one user commented. Another wrote: “We used to Pray for times like this.” YG even popped up, commenting, “Homekoming,” with an emoji.

The newest details on the album come after Kanye and Ty Dolla Sign hosted a “rave” event to promote the project on Monday night in Miami. Offset, Freddie Gibbs, Lil Durk, Kodak Black, Chris Brown, and West’s daughter, North, among others, were in attendance. During the event, Ye rocked a hood in the style of his Yeezus single “Black Skinhead.” North also performed a verse on the track “Slide.” She rapped: “It’s gonna get messy, just just bless me bless me / It’s your bestie, miss miss Westie.”

Presave Kanye & Ty Dolla Sign’s “Vultures”

Kanye and Ty Dolla Sign have been promoting their upcoming collaborative album for weeks at this point. Back in November, they shared the lead single, which is featured as the title track on Vultures. Ye dealt with backlash for his lyrics on the track after rapping, “How I’m antisemitic, I just f—ed a Jewish b—h,” referencing his myriad of antisemitism accusations. Jonathan Majors Called 911 For Alleged Victim Over Possible OD/Suicide

Jonathan Majors called 911 for assistance for his accuser, Grace Jabbari, on the day of his arrest, according to police testimony. Two NYPD officers who responded to the call took the stand on Tuesday amid the actor’s ongoing misdemeanor assault trial. They revealed Majors was concerned about a possible overdose or suicide and that they found Jabbari on the floor in Majors’ apartment when they arrived.

When she came to, Jabbari was worried whether Majors was around and asked why her ear hurt, seemingly unable to recall. While the ear injury is one of the causes of the trial, officers didn’t ask how she obtained it at the time. Jabbari did, however, tell the officers that Majors hit her in the head several times and grabbed her by the throat.

Officers also noted a small amount of blood on Majors’ comforter and that his jacket was missing a button. They had Jabbari fill out a domestic violence report. Additionally, Majors’ 911 call was played for the jury. In the audio, he says “she’s unconscious,” and describes her as “my ex-partner.” The operator instructed Majors to “keep an eye on her breathing.”

Jabbari previously testified on the stand, detailing her violent relationship with Majors. In doing so, she said she was often afraid of the Creed III actor and recalled several concerning incidents. She said: “I felt I was existing in his world. Emotionally and physically, all these ways. I didn’t feel my autonomy. I had low self-esteem, I lost weight, I felt unconfident, I felt really dependent on him. He was the only one who knew what went on. I found it hard to [see my family and friends].
