Kanye West Claims Ice Spice’s Team Is Blocking Her “New Body” Verse

Kanye West has been trying to release the song “New Body” for years at this point. Overall, the song has been anticipated since 2018. However, a release has never actually happened. For those who may not know, the original version of the song features Ty Dolla $ign and Nicki Minaj. Considering the fact that Ye and Ty Dolla have collaborative albums on the horizon, it makes sense that this song is back on everyone’s mind. In fact, Ye has made numerous strides to get the song released. For instance, a few months back, he was asking Nicki Minaj to clear her verse. Unfortunately, she refused and the song never dropped.

Earlier today, we reported on how YesJulz leaked a text message chain between herself and Ye. It was here where YesJulz revealed that she had actually sent “New Body” to both Doja Cat and Ice Spice. This was an absolutely massive reveal that had fans extremely excited. After all, these are two huge women artists, and to have them on a song with Ye would be a lot of fun. Subsequently, around Noon EST today, Kanye confirmed that Ice Spice actually sent a verse back. However, her team is refusing to clear it, and Ye wants some answers.

Fans just want to hear “New Body” and for Ice Spice to get a Ye collab would be huge at this stage in her career. For now, those who want this are just going to have to wait and see. It’s definitely not ideal, but this has become an ongoing issue for Kanye as of late. Hopefully, a solution can be worked out.

Shaboozey’s Legend With Hip-Hop Fans Continues To Grow On “Vegas”

Beyonce has certainly been wowing hip-hop and country fans with recent singles “TEXAS HOLD ‘EM” and “16 CARRIAGES.” However, there is another artist we feel you should be paying attention to that may be doing it a bit better. Shaboozey, a native of Virginia and of Nigerian descent, has been blowing up over the past couple of months. However, the 28-year-old has been mixing elements of hip-hop and country since the mid 2010s. Today, we excited to cover our first Shaboozey track “Vegas.”

A song that has turned a lot of hip-hop fans heads as of late has been “Let It Burn.” The track released in October of 2023 and it sees Shaboozey bust out his rapping chops on the second half. What also makes the break-up song work so well is his standout deep and husky voice. Even in a high register, he shines as well.

“Vegas” incorporates some similar elements of that song, but this one is a little less explosive. However, that is not to say it is a bad song by any means. One of the new efforts from Joyner Lucas includes “Best For Me” featuring Jelly Roll.

You may be thinking, why is a country star on a conscious hip-hop track? Well, if you are not aware, Jelly Roll actually has a history of working with rappers. The veteran Nashville artist has worked with fellow Tennessee greats like Three 6 Mafia, as well as UGK. He has since transitioned to writing more country material, but still implements hip-hop where necessary.

Those reasons are why it makes sense to see Jelly and Joyner team up for this extremely personal single. “Best For Me” had to have been a tough record to write about as he talks about a friend who is suffering from drug addiction. What helps make “New Me” a standout is the dark and twinkly beat from Honorable C.N.O.T.E. In addition to the high-profile rappers, Flo did not cheap out on the producers either. BLP KOSHER Is As Menacing As He Is Mischievous On New Single “Skidoo”: Stream

When it comes to fast and hard-hitting beats paired with funny and rewind-worthy bars, very few are doing it quite like BLP KOSHER right now. He’s made a great name for himself as a clever and creative lyricist who pairs his cheeky references and sense of humor with a gritty and grounded approach to trap music. The 23-year-old’s most recent effort, “Kold Shoulder” with Lil Crix, came out just last week, and he’s clearly not slowing down at all with his prolific schedule. Moreover, he’s back with “Skidoo,” another banger with a rapid percussion pattern, simple low piano melodies paired with high-note embellishments, and occasionally shifting flows to match his rhymes. It’s definitely a tried and true formula at this point, but this is such a comparatively young career that it’s still fresh and engaging.

Of course, if this is the first time you’ve heard of BLP KOSHER, you’ll quickly get an idea of why that formula got so popular and acclaimed. For example, the “Virgin Ears” rapper is very proud of his Jewish heritage, and his references to that identity make up some of the wittier and more triumphant lyrics here. Another element to his pen is the wordplay itself, which goes beyond the reference points to perk up the ear of any listener interested in language and puns. But it’s clear that the Florida native wants to take his sound to other worlds, too, as he collaborated with Yung Lean on the track “Violent Lullaby.”

Yung Miami Previews New Skilla Baby Collab, Reveals Goals For Her 30s

Last month, the hitmaker unveiled her new “50/50 Freestyle,” and even announced an entirely new era. According to her, this season of her life is all about yams, though fans remain slightly confused about what exactly that entails. “Welcome to the ‘Yams Era,’” she Tweeted. “I’m so excited for this era of my life we about to have some FUN!!!”

It looks like her latest release was only the beginning, as Yung Miami recently took to social media to tease yet another new track. She teamed up with Skilla Baby for the song and shared a fun teaser for it over the weekend. In the teaser, she struts in a black mesh fit, reminding fans that “These hoes CFWM!!!!!”

Yung Miami Teases More New Music

At the time of writing, an official release date for the song has not yet been announced. Regardless, fans can’t wait to hear it in full, and have already dubbed it the song of the summer. New music isn’t the only thing Yung Miami has to look forward to these days, however. The femcee also turned 30 last month, and recently took to Instagram Live to share some of her goals.

“I want to be wiser, be a mom,” Yung Miami began. “I’ve been being a mom but I want to be like, not missing nothing. Like, ‘hey I can’t do it, I’m a mom.’” She then went on to share a message with wishy-washy supporters, advising them to get off of her page if they don’t like what they see.

Talib Kweli and Madlib made “One For Biz” as a tribute to the late and great Biz Markie. Their way of paying homage to the legend was through Q-Tip’s chorus.

Q put a spin on “Nobody Beats the Biz,” and it has been a popular track off of Liberation 2 ever since. The album got a release on a platform called Luminary, which is a subscription-based podcast network, according to HipHopDX. Talib Kweli, and everyone else here does a great job. Madlib especially gets a nod for his terrific and irresistible piano beat.
