Kanye West Claims Ice Spice’s Team Is Blocking Her “New Body” Verse

Kanye West has been trying to release the song “New Body” for years at this point. Overall, the song has been anticipated since 2018. However, a release has never actually happened. For those who may not know, the original version of the song features Ty Dolla $ign and Nicki Minaj. Considering the fact that Ye and Ty Dolla have collaborative albums on the horizon, it makes sense that this song is back on everyone’s mind. In fact, Ye has made numerous strides to get the song released. For instance, a few months back, he was asking Nicki Minaj to clear her verse. Unfortunately, she refused and the song never dropped.

Earlier today, we reported on how YesJulz leaked a text message chain between herself and Ye. It was here where YesJulz revealed that she had actually sent “New Body” to both Doja Cat and Ice Spice. This was an absolutely massive reveal that had fans extremely excited. After all, these are two huge women artists, and to have them on a song with Ye would be a lot of fun. Subsequently, around Noon EST today, Kanye confirmed that Ice Spice actually sent a verse back. However, her team is refusing to clear it, and Ye wants some answers.

Kanye West Makes His Claim

“ICE SPICE SENT A VERSE IN FOR NEW BODY NOW HER TEAM IS SAYING WE CAN’T USE IT,” he explained. No reason was given for why he can’t use the verse. Regardless, this is devastating news. Fans just want to hear “New Body” and for Ice Spice to get a Ye collab would be huge at this stage in her career. For now, those who want this are just going to have to wait and see. It’s definitely not ideal, but this has become an ongoing issue for Kanye as of late. Hopefully, a solution can be worked out.

Bryson Tiller fans rejoice, we have a new album on the way! Yes, after nearly four years without one, the Kentucky R&B savant is dropping a self-titled LP on April 5. The veteran posted this announcement on his Instagram moments ago and it is safe to say people are amped. Big Sean, Che Ecru, KYLE, and others showed their excitement for the project in the comments section for the trailer too.

At this moment in time, we have gotten tons of material from Dr. Tiller on Soundcloud courtesy of “Tiller Tuesdays.” However, only one track, “Whatever She Wants,” is the only single for the album. It was originally released on the aforementioned platform but got a slight rework for Spotify and other streaming services. With all of this hype around his return, Bryson Tiller has recently done the right thing by bringing out another single “Calypso,”

This might be one of his best songs in recent memory, as the beat from Michael “Black Mic” Williams, che, Bass Charity, and LEO N, is outstanding. It sounds busy but everything just melds together seamlessly. Of course, Bryson is bringing his smooth and sensual voice to the table while he tries to win back a love interest. Two singles in and Bryson Tiller is making a run for T R A P S O U L as his best body of work.

Shaboozey’s Legend With Hip-Hop Fans Continues To Grow On “Vegas”

Beyonce has certainly been wowing hip-hop and country fans with recent singles “TEXAS HOLD ‘EM” and “16 CARRIAGES.” However, there is another artist we feel you should be paying attention to that may be doing it a bit better. Shaboozey, a native of Virginia and of Nigerian descent, has been blowing up over the past couple of months. However, the 28-year-old has been mixing elements of hip-hop and country since the mid 2010s. Today, we excited to cover our first Shaboozey track “Vegas.”

A song that has turned a lot of hip-hop fans heads as of late has been “Let It Burn.” The track released in October of 2023 and it sees Shaboozey bust out his rapping chops on the second half. What also makes the break-up song work so well is his standout deep and husky voice. Even in a high register, he shines as well.

“Vegas” incorporates some similar elements of that song, but this one is a little less explosive. However, that is not to say it is a bad song by any means. In fact, it is quite catchy, probably even more so than “Let It Burn.” Once again, you will here Shaboozey pick up the speed on his lone verse. This track definitely has the tone of an old western and it is another welcome addition into his catalog.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new single, “Vegas,” by Shaboozey? Is this the country singer’s best song to date, why or why not? Have you been checking out more country music after hearing his tracks? What is your favorite song of his and why? Do you think he needs to drop a new album this year? Quotable Lyrics:

I pour my shame inside my cup and drink myself to sleep
If I make it through the night, then it’s a sweet dream
I got demons, devils, calling me
Play by the gutter, covered in dirt, got it all over me
I’m sipping on whiskey, I’m feeling it now
Tell momma I’m sorry for letting her down

Joyner Lucas & Jelly Roll Pen A Poignant Message About Addiction On “Best For Me”

Joyner Lucas fans will not have to wait too much longer before his next album. Of course, we are referring to the heavily tweaked and pushed back release that is Not Now, I’m Busy. This LP was originally looking at a 2023 drop date. However, not-so-positive feedback on the singles encouraged the Massachusetts MC to go back to the drawing board. One of the new efforts from Joyner Lucas includes “Best For Me” featuring Jelly Roll.

You may be thinking, why is a country star on a conscious hip-hop track? Well, if you are not aware, Jelly Roll actually has a history of working with rappers. The veteran Nashville artist has worked with fellow Tennessee greats like Three 6 Mafia, as well as UGK. He has since transitioned to writing more country material, but still implements hip-hop where necessary.

Listen To “Best For Me” By Joyner Lucas & Jelly Roll

Those reasons are why it makes sense to see Jelly and Joyner team up for this extremely personal single. “Best For Me” had to have been a tough record to write about as he talks about a friend who is suffering from drug addiction. Like he did on his politically focused “I’m Not Racist,” Lucas raps from his perspective on how he feels about it and from his unnamed friend. Jelly Roll adds some extra soul with a terrific chorus and vocal performance. “How can you love someone and learn to let them go? /
How can we fall apart on things we’ll never know?

What are your thoughts on this brand-new single, “Best For Me,” by Joyner Lucas and Jelly Roll? Is this one of the most heartfelt rap songs and records in general this year? What is your favorite element of the song and why? Who had the best performance on the track? Does this get you excited for Lucas’ upcoming album Not Now, I’m Busy? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. Quotable Lyrics:

And what the f*** happened to you? (Fuck happened to you?)
You’re losin’ a fight (Damn)
I never thought I’d see the day that you let addiction ruin your life
Everyone callin’ that shit a disease and you makin’ feel like you in the right
But I hate the fact that you really be usin’ that as an excuse to do what you like
Or do what you might (Do what you might, woah)
And I keep on prayin’ and reachin’ for you

Flo Milli & Anycia Glide Over Honorable C.N.O.T.E. Beat On “New Me”

Flo Milli has been impressing us more and more over the past few months. The Mobile, Alabama rapper and singer has some hits under her belt already. However, “Never Lose Me” has really catapulted to a more mainstream audience. This track is also the lead single to her new album Fine Ho, Stay, which saw its release this past weekend. However, this project and Flo Milli have a lot more to offer like “New Me” with Anycia.

She is one of the few multi-hyphenate guests to be onboard for Flo’s third project. Gunna, SZA, Cardi B, and Monaleo are in the mix as well. What helps make “New Me” a standout is the dark and twinkly beat from Honorable C.N.O.T.E. In addition to the high-profile rappers, Flo did not cheap out on the producers either. ATL Jacob, Bangladesh, and Lex Luger are just a few to name.

Secondly, Flo and Anycia bring a cool, yet intimidating presence to this record. Milli’s pre-chorus is one of best written bits of the song with sticky lines to pair with a simple and catchy flow. Up-and-comer Anycia continues to her add to her intriguing catalog with a more monotone and colder delivery. We definitely recommend this track from Fine Ho, Stay, so be sure to check it out above.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new song, “New Me,” by Flo Milli, Anycia, and Honorable C.N.O.T.E.? Is this the best track from Fine Ho, Stay? What is your favorite element of the song and why? Who had the best performance on the track? Are both rappers some of the best female talents in the game right now? Dom Corleo Unveils New Track “TBT” Alongside Surreal Visual

While we’re still only a few months into 2024, it’s already been a busy year for Dom Corleo. At the end of January, the hitmaker unleashed his single “Bite,” which arrived alongside an eery accompanying music video. The fan-favorite was soon followed by “Devote,” as well as a similarly surreal visual. Now, he’s returned with yet another new track, “TBT.”

“TBT” also arrives alongside a simple, trippy visual that sees the MC roam around what appears to be an abandoned building, desolate parking lots, and more. In the song, Corleo raps about his journey to success, and how his life has changed since finding it. He reflects on his life before making a living off of his music, and taking full advantage of his new lifestyle.

BLP KOSHER Is As Menacing As He Is Mischievous On New Single “Skidoo”: Stream

When it comes to fast and hard-hitting beats paired with funny and rewind-worthy bars, very few are doing it quite like BLP KOSHER right now. He’s made a great name for himself as a clever and creative lyricist who pairs his cheeky references and sense of humor with a gritty and grounded approach to trap music. The 23-year-old’s most recent effort, “Kold Shoulder” with Lil Crix, came out just last week, and he’s clearly not slowing down at all with his prolific schedule. Moreover, he’s back with “Skidoo,” another banger with a rapid percussion pattern, simple low piano melodies paired with high-note embellishments, and occasionally shifting flows to match his rhymes. It’s definitely a tried and true formula at this point, but this is such a comparatively young career that it’s still fresh and engaging.

Of course, if this is the first time you’ve heard of BLP KOSHER, you’ll quickly get an idea of why that formula got so popular and acclaimed. For example, the “Virgin Ears” rapper is very proud of his Jewish heritage, and his references to that identity make up some of the wittier and more triumphant lyrics here. Another element to his pen is the wordplay itself, which goes beyond the reference points to perk up the ear of any listener interested in language and puns. But it’s clear that the Florida native wants to take his sound to other worlds, too, as he collaborated with Yung Lean on the track “Violent Lullaby.”

Talib Kweli, Wildchild, & Q-Tip Go Off Over Terrific Madlib Beat On “One For Biz

Two of some of the most well-respected names in all of hip-hop, Talib Kweli and Madlib, are here with a “new single” “One For Biz.” We say “new single” because this song was actually released last year for the rapper and producer’s sequel record Liberation 2. Talib Kweli and Madlib made “One For Biz” as a tribute to the late and great Biz Markie. Their way of paying homage to the legend was through Q-Tip’s chorus.

Q put a spin on “Nobody Beats the Biz,” and it has been a popular track off of Liberation 2 ever since. The album got a release on a platform called Luminary, which is a subscription-based podcast network, according to HipHopDX. Talib Kweli, and everyone else here does a great job. Madlib especially gets a nod for his terrific and irresistible piano beat.

BossMan Dlow & Rob49 Collide For Explosive “Lil Bastard”

BossMan Dlow has been on a recent rampage if you have not been paying attention lately. The boisterous Port Salerno, Florida MC is dropping hit after hit it seems and his popularity is nowhere near where it will be in about a year or so. Most hip-hop fans were introduced to him through his overnight viral sensation “Get In With Me.” Ever since that fateful day of January 19, his career has been on the fast track toward stardom. Now, BossMan Dlow is further capitalizing on his momentum with “Lil Bastard.”

Unlike his previous track that we talked about, “Mr Pot Scraper,” this new cut is from an album. It is BossMan’s third full-length, Mr Beat The Road. This latest installment in his catalog boasts his most impressive feature list yet, albeit it being so miniscule. You can find Sexyy Red on “Come Here,” Wizz Havinn appears on “Obama Runtz,” and Rob49 is tapped for “Lil Bastard.”

If we had to envision a perfect pairing for BossMan Dlow, Rob49 is our pick. Both of their mic presences are extremely commanding and sometimes their flows can be a little off kilter. There is a point in time on the song where their voices do mesh a little too well. As soon as Rob’s verse ends and goes into BossMan’s chorus, it is hard to tell who is performing. But, it is definitely becoming a hit with the fans, with over 540,000 views on YouTube.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new song, “Lil Bastard,” by BossMan Dlow and Rob49? Is this one of his strongest tracks so far, why or why not? What is your favorite element of the song and why?
