However, the Boston, Massachusetts MC is showing that he has stories to tell. “On The Muscle,” may be one of Cousin Stizz’s best written songs, as he talks about it being hard to trust others. However, there are also themes of showing that you need to make sacrifices to get to where you want to be in life. Essentially, you should strive to become a self-made and prideful person and not skate through obstacles.

We should be attacking them head on every time and that is a message we want to hear more in modern rap. Stizz raps deliberately, helping his words and point get across clearly and from the start. What also makes “On The Muscle” so enjoyable for us is the entrancing beat. That comes from the beautiful looping guitar sample and the simple but bassy beat.

The Internet Money and 10K Projects rapper loves to operate in the trap scene with elements of rage as well. That is exactly the vibe Rich Amiri is bringing to “MADONNA & RIHANNA.”

This looks to be the first single for his forthcoming record WAR READY, which he is promoting on social media. There seems to not be a release date for this project, but we assume it is expected to drop in 2024. Blxst, a veteran singer from California, has proven to be an extremely talented and versatile artist. That Swiss Army knife capability is why he has been able to work with artists like Kendrick Lamar, Russ, Kalan.FrFr, Mozzy, Tyga, and more. His smooth and unique delivery also helps him stand out a bit more from the rest of the R&B pack. Today, Blxst is proving he is capable to go the world of Latin music with “Rewind” featuring Feid.

This is now his second single of the year, with the emotional “Heart Ain’t Empty” being the first. While this is something new for Blxst, you would not be able to tell. Again, that do-it-all voice can really go into any genre and feel natural. Even though Feid is singing in Spanish, they trade lines smoothly.

The track definitely has a late summer night vibe with its moodier beat accompanied by some guitar sections. The visualizer also gives you a clear indicator for the vibe Blxst and Feid were going for and they capitalized on that. But we are so happy we stumbled upon it, it is a vibe through and through.

Quavo & Destroy Lonely Mesh Well On Their First Song “Potato Loaded”

People had some sneaky suspicions that Quavo and Destroy Lonely could be cooking up something in the studio. Photos surfaced near the very start of 2024 when NLE Choppa shared a post on social media of him chopping it up with the two aforementioned artists. While most people were probably expecting the Memphis rapper to be a part of the collab, that is sadly not the case. However, Quavo and Destroy Lonely are more than enough to get excited about.

Those earlier sessions have resulted in this new single right here, “Potato Loaded.” This is a Quavo single, as Lonely is credited as the feature, which makes this his third solo effort. The former Migo also worked with ATL Jacob and BU$HI as a guest. So, this could mean a third album could be in the works.

Those possible promotional records include “Real One” with Rich The Kid, and “Himothy.” So far, “Potato Loaded” may be the strongest of three. Ehhthang Ehhthang is the second project overall from her, and her first LP. GloRilla secretly began the rollout for this offering back in February with the viral hit “Yeah Glo!” It has since taken the internet by storm and it led her to some incredible opportunities like meeting LeBron James. Additionally, Big Glo is going to be heading out on tour this summer with her “Wanna Be” sidekick, Megan Thee Stallion.

The snippet we heard sounded like it had incredible potential to be a party banger for the ages. Part of the reason for that were those chants were mentioned at the beginning, but also the sample. Doja Cat & A$AP Rocky Trade Contagious Energy On “URRGE”

Today has been one of the best in hip-hop so far in 2024. During this first quarter of the year, we have been treated to some fantastic music and we are very grateful to be in the thick of it. We have gotten out of the blue albums, diss tracks, and releases from some big names. One of those is Doja Cat with “URRRGE!!!!!!!!!!” This is one of the new cuts from the deluxe version of her 2023 album Scarlet. It was a project that saw the California multi-hyphenate go into nearly full rap mode and was a controversial record for many reasons.

This bonus version, Scarlet 2: CLAUDE sees Doja Cat tack on seven new tracks with “URRRGE!!!!!!!!!!” being one of them. What makes this track one to remember is the incredible and fun verse from A$AP Rocky. These two have never worked together, but we are glad they were able to come together here. Some may not see how these two would jive with one another, but the beat selection here matches their styles up perfectly.

Over the course of G-Eazy’s c areer, the Oakland, California MC has received a fair amount of criticism. Some of that comes from his “corny” writing or “bland” tracks. Most see him as a club banger artist, which is not a bad way to go about making music. He has differentiated his sound as well, but it seems the majority go for the high-octane cuts. So today, G-Eazy is back with a new offering in that space with “Femme Fatale.”

The song’s theme is about men and women both participating in the hedonistic lifestyle. Sex work is a big focus here too, and it is made apparent through the sample flip of the classic song from 20th Century Steel Band, “Heaven and Hell Is on Earth.” The lyrics, “Everyone’s got to make a livin’,” kicks “Femme Fatale” off, before bleeding into the verse from G-Eazy. “No prejudice (Nah), I’m a feminist (Yeah)… No judgement ’cause everybody has to make a little, uh.”

He raps from the male perspective, then the features, Coi Leray, and Kaliii, give their side of things. Young Thug To Join Lil Wayne On New Single “Bless” Debuting At Wrestlemania 40

During a chat with Jey Uso on WWE Monday Night RAW earlier this week, Lil Wayne confirmed that he’ll be debuting a new single at Wrestlemania 40 in Philly on Friday (April 5). “Imma be there and you know what, I’m bringing my single,” he confirmed. “World premiere. Wrestlemania. You know what it is.”

At the time, he had yet to announce the title of the song, its producer, or any features. Now, however, he’s taken to social media to provide anxious fans with more details. He shared a short, Wrestlemania-themed teaser for the song on Instagram today, revealing that it includes an unexpected feature from Young Thug. He also unveiled the title of the track, “Bless,” and that it was produced by Wheezy.

Of course, this latest announcement has fans thrilled, and sounding off in his comments section. “Thugga and Wayne reunion,” one Instagram user writes excitedly. “All my dreams are coming true!” another declares. The longwinded trial is on track to becoming the longest in Georgia history, and tensions in the courtroom only continue to rise.

Buddy Taps Smino & Cedxric For R&B-Flavored Cut “Should’ve Known”

As we mentioned recently, we feel that Buddy, California rapper and singer, deserves more recognition and respect in the genre. The steady veteran recently put out his fourth album, Don’t Forget To Breathe, and it might be his best work to date. He is bringing some great rapping with his smooth and confident delivery. It is tied for his longest record, but it is still only 12 songs. Which means there is hardly any room for filler.

Buddy was certainly not playing around on this album, as “Should’ve Known” with Smino and Cedxric is one his best offerings. It is a smooth R&B-like track about dodging vices and moving through roadblocks. This makes it fit right into an LP all about self-improvement. Both rappers deliver great verses, and Buddy beautifully handles the song’s catchy chorus.
