Loe Shimmy Is Feeling Cold & Alone On “All My Love”

Loe Shimmy is a living embodiment of the Florida rap scene. He has the synonymous raspy/croaky delivery, and he also bust out the melodies when required. Well, Loe Shimmy is doing just that on this latest single, “All My Love”. This is the Pompano Beach resident’s newest offering, and it supersedes his May 10 release, “Zuper”. That single featured another fellow Floridian, Wizz Havinn. But this time, Loe (L.O.E. Shimmy) is flying solo, which makes a lot of sense in this case.

“All My Love” features the 25-year-old rapper and singer in a vulnerable position, as he gets candid about his loneliness. He feels there are a lot of people that are out on him. Those include friends, women, and even his family. “Love my baby mama / But she hate me / What’s that all about? / Momma acting different“.

Veeze Floats & Flexes On Trippy New Single “Pop Yo Shit”

Veeze is an artist who absolutely dominated 2023. Overall, this was thanks to a plethora of dope songs and one of the best albums of the entire year. If you looked at any end-of-year hip-hop albums list, you probably saw Ganger there. On our list, Veeze was comfortably in the top 10 and it was well-deserved. Ganger was an album filled with some of the best beats of the entire year. Furthermore, the Detroit artist gave us emotional depth with flows and cadences that made you feel like he was dragging the listener into the throws of drug addiction and depression.

With Ganger in the rearview mirror, fans have been waiting for some new music. Well, they won’t have to wait much longer. On Thursday, Veeze dropped off a new track called “Pop Yo Shit,” and you can check out the music video down below. Once again, the Detroit MC showcases just how off-the-wall his production can be at times. From the chiming bells to the quick and off-kilter drums, Veeze shows his fans that he is a master when it comes to taste. Not to mention, he knows how to curate beats that suit his raspy and nonchalant vocal quirks.

Veeze Returns With Another Dope Track

On “Pop Yo Shit,” Veeze showcases that while some may see his vocal style as “monotone,” it is actually quite expressive and serves a purpose. Delve deep into his lyrics and you will understand why he raps as he does. That said, “Pop Yo Shit” is a bit more of a braggadocious track for Veeze. After all, the last 12 months have been a whirlwind for him. From massive accolades to a tour that took him all around North America, the Detroit native has a lot to celebrate right now.

Action Bronson Is Absurd As Ever On “Nourish A Thug” And It’s Awesome

Action Bronson is a charismatic guy. It’s the reason he’s been able to overcome his staggering vocal similarity to Ghostface Killah. It’s also the reason he’s landed roles in blockbuster comedies and gang epics opposite Robert De Niro. None of this would have happened, of course, were it not for Bronson’s ability to showcase his charisma in his music. He’s a lyrical Jackson Pollack, combining bizarre imagery with obscure references that somehow make sense when the verse is over. And he just treated fans to another splatter-style single, “Nourish a Thug.”

Bronsolino myth-making is on full display in the song’s opening lines. “It’s the doctor,” he raps. “Here to f*cking take your temperature the old way.” From there, he goes on absurdist spiels about exfoliating in a lake, breaking out of a cobra clutch, and watching the Tyson Fury fight with two female friends. There’s a random segment, also, where he threatens (?) to pull up at someone’s house and have Xzbit place a fish tank in his civic. It wouldn’t be an Action Bronson song without an obscure film reference, and he sneaks it in the very last line. “Ride around the city like the bad lieutenant, b*tch,” he concludes. It’s a harrowing but hilarious reference for anybody who’s seen the 1992 film of the same name.

Action Bronson Spits Over An 80s-Style Instrumental

Tying all these bars together is the lush instrumental. Action Bronson has always leaned towards unique samples and vibes, and “Nourish a Thug” is no different. It sounds like the sort of music that would play during a sting operation on Miami Vice. A little cheesy and a lot of synths. “Nourish a Thug” would’ve fit perfectly on Bronson’s 2020 album Only for Dolphins. As it stands, this is the first single for what we can only assume is the rapper’s new project. If the rest of the project matches the quality on display here, we are in for a treat.

What are your thoughts on “Nourish a Thug” by Action Bronson? Is this the rapper’s best single yet? Do you like the beat? Are you excited for Action Bronson’s upcoming album? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. Additionally, always keep it locked in with HNHH for all of the latest news surrounding Action Bronson. Finally, stay with us for everything else going on in the music world.

BIA Hints At JID Feature On Her Upcoming Single “Lights Out”

BIA has been building an excellent career. She signed to Pharrell’s label in 2014, and since then, she’s landed coveted collabs with the likes of Kali Uchis and J Balvin. The remix to her 2021 single, “Whole Lotta Money,” featured a fun verse from Nicki Minaj and peaked at number 16 on the Billboard Hot 100. BIA is the real deal, which is why fans are so excited about the possibility of collaborating with another established talent: JID. She posted a video of her and JID conversing, and now the world desperately wants them to link up on a song.

BIA posted the video on May 28. The singer is on the set of a music video with a green screen. She’s talking with makeup artists about the set up of a particular shot, and who else but JID wanders into the frame. The rapper is impressed with what he sees, calling it “fire.” BIA then gives him a hug before she hits her mark. The video is brief, but it definitely seems like BIA is teasing JID’s involvement in her new song. She announced the release of her single “Lights Out” on June 7. The general consensus (or hope) is that JID will be featured on it. He’s even listed on the song’s Genius page.

BIA has aimed to get the focus back on her music since the social media controversy that went down in April. The singer was accused of lying about her lineage. Fans began to question her ethnic background, which led to her firing back with proof. “U still don’t know the difference between race and ethnicity,” she tweeted at a user. “B*tch pick up a book. It’s called Afro Latina stupid.” She also dragged those who tried to suggest she was not Black. “Are you really that slow,” she asked. “How did biracial ppl even get here? Do you know what Puerto Rican are? African Taino and European. There are Jamaican Indians you f*ckin idiot pick up a book.”

JID, meanwhile, is riding a critical high. His last release, The Forever Story, was hailed by many as the best album of 2023. He’s teased a collaborative project with Metro Boomin, and he told People that he wants to get involved in filmmaking. “Like I can recall a lot of situations that meant a lot to me and were pivotal in my journey,” he told the outlet. “I’ll do that. And I’ll probably put it in the form of a movie, too. I’m big into directing and all of that stuff… I want to make sure I tap into that before my time is.”

Bow Wow Teases New Collaboration With Chris Brown This Summer

Bow Wow had hits in the 2000s. The rapper made the leap from teen star to grown man with hits like “Shortie Like Mine” and “Like You.” The thing is, he stepped away from the music scene in 2009. His last studio album was New Jack City II, and since then, he’s focused on reality TV and hosting gigs. It’s been a successful avenue for him, but it looks like he might be working on some new music. The rapper got on X (formerly Twitter) on May 29 to tease something major with Chris Brown

We’re not going to beat around the bush since Bow Wow didn’t. He didn’t bother with any subtle hints or photos, he just tweeted: “Bow Wow x Chris Brown… June 2024.” There’s always a chance that the collab could be non-musical, but given what these two artists have gotten up to in the past, a song seems like the most obvious outcome. Bow Wow and Breezy worked together on the aforementioned “Shortie Like Mine” in 2006. The song, which also featured Johntá Austin, peaked at number nine on the Billboard Hot 100 and number one on the US Hot Rap Songs chart. It was certified Platinum in the United States, and remains one of Bow Wow’s signature hits.

Bow Wow Has Been Teasing His Final Album Since 2021

Bow Wow and Chris Brown have two other songs together. “Outta My System” also dropped in 2006, while “Ain’t Thinkin’ Bout You” was released three years later. Their upcoming collaboration will likely be for Bow Wow’s album Before 30, which was first announced in 2021. The rapper told Hot 97 that he will drop one more body of work before calling it a day on music. “I’ma do one more album,” he told the host. “It’s gonna be the last one and it’s gonna be called Before 30. I’ma have Snoop [Dogg] narrate the whole thing. So it’s gonna be kind of a different project, 10 songs.”

Bow Wow gave fans an update on the album in 2022. He confirmed Before 30 was coming, and claimed that it would be released through Death Row Records, which is now owned by Snoop. “Spoke to Snoop last week,” he tweeted. “Very soon. My plan is to put my final album on Death Row and close my music career out where it began. I’m tryna do the D Wade and come home and close it out.” Things went quiet once again in 2023, but this latest teaser suggests that the rapper is finally ready to begin the Before 30 rollout. Let’s see what Breezy and him have in store.

FERG Drops Off Exciting New Single “Roemello” Amid Supposed Rebrand

For those who may not have noticed, FERG has recently taken the “A$AP” out of his name. Overall, this has led to lots of speculation about whether or not he is still in Always Strive And Prosper. Of course, he came up as part of A$AP Mob and if he was truly leaving the collective, it would be the end of an era. That said, FERG is back to releasing music, and there is no doubt that fans are excited about that concept. Most recently, he came through with the song “MDMX” which proved to be a banger.

Today, FERG blessed us all over again. Although this time, he did so with a brand-new effort called “Roemello.” You can watch the video below, which is part of the Snapgod’s Secret Tape series. This features a VHS aesthetic that really gives you some 90s and early 2000s vibes. As for the song itself, it is an uptempo banger with thumping synths and fast drums that FERG absolutely glides over. He gives off some braggadocious bars as well, which helps give the track more oomph.

Bizarre Of D12 Begs The Question On New Single: “Who Got A?”

Even though the legendary Detroit rap posse D12 is not as tight as they used to be, members of the group are still doing their thing. One of them is Bizarre, who claimed to be departed from the crew back in 2012, according to HipHopDX. “Creative differences” were the deciding factor for the then 35-year-old. However, the now 47-year-old revealed that he was back with his boys in 2014. Furthermore, just last year, they went on a short six-day tour in the UK in December, according to NME. It was organized to commemorate their sophomore, and final album as a group D12 World. There were talks of a third album in that 2014 DX interview, but things never materialized.

The last “album” they put out was a deluxe of their debut album Devils Night in 2021. But Bizarre did state that he would always have some sort of ties to D12. “D12 is always gonna be attached to my name. I’m a founding member of D12. It’s not a game. It’s something that’s a life commitment.”

Listen To “Who Got A?” By Bizarre

While a collective LP might not be coming ever again, Bizarre might be working on a solo tape. Recently, the grimy rapper dropped a single “Who got a [problem]?” with production from fellow D-Town native Foul Mouth. The track is dark, cold and hilarious, with the clear standout bar being, “Two glocks, I call ’em Gweek and Gwiddy / ‘Cause they a couple, like Meek and Diddy (Ha-ha)“. Be sure to check out Bizarre’s new single above.

What are your thoughts on “Who got a?” by Bizarre? Is this one of his stronger singles as of late, why or why not? Is he a criminally underrated rapper, or is he properly rated? Eminem Unveils The Release Date For New Lead Single “Houdini”

Eminem has really been putting effort into the rollout of his new album. The Death of Slim Shady was announced the day of the NFL draft, and came complete with a mock true crime show about its titular character. An obituary was printed in Em’s hometown of Detroit, and now, the rapper has enlisted the help of magician David Blaine. Eminem released a promo on social media in which he Facetimed Blaine and announced the release date of his upcoming single.

The promo is a little more complicated than that premise might sound. Em rings Blaine up and gives him his due as the greatest of all time (magically speaking, of course). The magician then suggests they team up on something. Eminem asks how far they could go with magic, and Blaine responds by walking up to a table, drinking a glass of wine and then eating the glass. Eminem looks unimpressed. He’s got something more ambitious in mind. “Well for my last trick,” he tells Blaine. “I’m going to make my career disappear.” The magician is dumbfounded, but Eminem hangs up before he can explain. We then get a hard cut to a release date for the single “Houdini.”

Eminem’s New Single Will Drop On May 31

“Houdini” will be released on Friday, May 31. The promotional material for The Death of Slim Shady, and the title itself, suggested that Eminem would be laying his alter ego to rest. His comments towards Blaine suggest that the album may mark his last, however. The rapper has been frank about talking retirement in the past. He walked away from music for five years in the 2000s, and he admitted he was unsure how much longer he could rap during a 2010 interview with Vibe.

“I don’t know how much longer I have in this game,” Eminem told the outlet. “I’m always going to love hip-hop. But how much longer am I going to still do it? I couldn’t give you an answer. But the day that this is not better than the last will probably be the day I stop.” The rapper claimed he would always record his raps, but would cease to put them out after a certain point. ” I know it always makes me feel better to lay things to tape, and — ‘lay the tape.’ See, I’m old school,” he noted. We may be looking at the final stage for both Eminem and Slim Shady. If so, then “Houdini” will truly mark the beginning of the end.

MO3 Teases Second Posthumous Album With “AR” Featuring That Mexican OT & BigXthaPlug

The loss of Texas multi-hyphenate MO3 is still being felt in the hip-hop community to this day. The then 28-year-old was tragically gunned down on a Dallas freeway in broad daylight on November 11, 2020. The man who committed the unforgiving homicidal act was sentenced to nearly nine years in federal prison in the same month, nearly two years later. While justice will never truly be served, fans of MO3 have still been able to listen some of his work that was never published like “AR”.

This is the second single that his estate has put forth this year, and it is also the third and final offering from an upcoming project. MO3’s second posthumous album, Legend, will be out this Friday, May 31. According to Genius, his next body of work will be 14 tracks and will have a total of three features. All of which will be Southern rappers and the names include Finesse2Tymes, BigXthaPlug, and That Mexican OT.

In fact, the latter of the two are on “AR”. All three rappers combine to bring a cohesive and passionate track, as BigX and Mexican deliver some extended verses. MO3 handles the chorus and delivers a sticky and melodic tune. Each artist talks about their rough upbringings and street violence over a lowkey and crisp beat.

What are your thoughts on “AR” by MO3, That Mexican OT, and BigXthaPlug? Is this one of his best post-humous releases yet, why or why not? Does this get you excited for Legend? Sexyy Red Will Never Stop Turning Heads With Songs Like “Lick Me” Featuring Lil Baby

Theneedledrop, also known as Anthony Fantano, made a keen observation in his recent review of In Sexyy We Trust by Sexyy Red. During his soliloquy he applauded the St. Louis, Missouri rapper for being able to follow up Hood Hottest Princess with another high energy project. Furthermore, Fantano had to give kudos also for the fact that the raunchiness was somehow taken up another step. Part of the reason he felt that way was because of “Lick Me” featuring Lil Baby.

This is Sexyy Red’s take on get extremely intimate, which is essentially getting as nasty as possible. “D**k so good, I wanna have his son / Drink that c*m ’til it make me drunk,” are just one of many outlandish sets of bars. “Drillin’ your s***, you like, “Why is you doin’ this?” / Make you c*m first, bae, I know not to ruin this / Go get a towel, you know how your fluids get, squirt.” Beyond the insanely absurd lyrics, though, the song is decent.

Listen To “Lick Me” By Sexyy Red & Lil Baby

The beat is definitely interesting, as it incorporates some woozy and sleepy sound effects. In terms of the flows from Red and Baby they fit the melody pretty snuggly. But overall, the song is definitely more memorable for shock factor and not much else. However, as long as she can continue to find new ways to deliver her music, she will be around for a long time.

What are your thoughts on “Lick Me” by Sexyy Red and Lil Baby? Is this her raunchiest song to date? If not, what are you putting over it? How do you think she handled creating a sexy slow jam? What is your favorite aspect of it? Who had the more memorable performance and why? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section.
