Young Nudy Teases Sequel Album With Bouncy New Single “Right Now”

Young Nudy is not a wordsmith, he’s a vibe maker. The rapper has always thrived when it focuses on sticky hooks and choruses that get stuck in listeners’ ears after just one listen. Young Nudy is the kind of artist that will make one hum along even if one doesn’t know the words to a given song. This is precisely the case on Nudy’s new single, “Right Now.” As the lead single to his anticipated new album, Sli’merre 2, “Right Now” is a bouncy and laid back banger that proves the rapper still has the magic touch.

“Right Now” is not a particularly flashy song. It’s appeal lies in how relaxed it is, how it takes its time to envelop the listener with its sound construction. It would be a boring instrumental in the hands of some other rapper, probably. Young Nudy fits like it a glove, though. He glides over the ascending synth hits with a flow that belies his aggressive lyrics. “We got bricks and pounds, you can pull up shop right now,” he raps. “Bro from out of town, know they scamming sh*t right now.” The right now refrain is one of the catchiest Young Nudy has come up with to date, and a good indicator of hooks to come on Sli’merre 2.

BlakeIana Is Requiring Men To Pay The “B.B.F.” On Her New Banger

The female rap game is heating up every other week and BlakeIANA is contributing to that. The acts in her lane are fierce competitors for sure, but we can see world in where the St. Louis product rises above expectations. She possesses strong mic presence, always has high energy, and has a knack for writing some catchy club bops for the girlies. What makes this all really exciting is that she’s pretty much just getting her career off the ground too, so we can only imagine what’s in store. Right now, she has a handful of viral singles. “BING BONG” and its remix with her fellow Missouri counterpart Sexyy Red being those records. But soon, the Murda Recordings/300 Entertainment signee is going to be putting all of her ideas and sounds onto one full tape.

According to a recent press release, BLAKEIANA is gearing up for mixtape called Back In The Field. Right now, there is no release date set in stone. But with the clock ticking on 2024, we are expecting it to drop before then. This is the time of year in which rappers are turning in their projects to leave a mark before the next 12 months roll in. She seems to be on that same track and we can’t wait for it. For now, BlakeIANA is back to provide us with one its singles, “B.B.F.” It’s a similar vibe to “Pricey” featuring Moneybagg Yo, as she feels she’s worth spending tons of money on. However, she’s taking things a step further, saying that there’s a “bad b**** fee” on top of those existing expenditures. It’s a raucous banger and one that will spread like wildfire within the night club space.

Meek Mill Inspires Listeners With “WHO YOU VOTING FOR?”

Meek Mill is at an impasse in 2024. He doesn’t have the cultural cache he did a decade ago. If anything, the rapper’s antics and affiliations with people like Diddy have turned him into a punchline. When Meek gets in his bag, though, he can still rap. He proves it on his new single “WHO YOU VOTING FOR?” As the title and timing of the song’s release suggest, Meek Mill is delving into the controversy surrounding the 2024 presidential election. It’s a focal point, but the rapper also uses the election as a launching pad to touch on more personal topics.

Meek Mill kicks off the song with a reference to a friend who said he was voting for Donald Trump. The rapper doesn’t condemn this friend, but he does express doubt over the former president’s character. “He said he want that stimulus,” Meek raps. “I want it too, but the way he moving venomous.” He then delves into the legal troubles of his past, and gives unexpected shout outs to both Lil Durk and Young Thug. The recency of Durk’s arrest and Thug’s release certainly gives the song an urgency it wouldn’t have otherwise. Meek Mill’s flow is impassioned, and the production really sells the earnest approach here. “WHO YOU VOTING FOR?” is not going to be a smash streaming hit, but it’s a solid showcase for Meek and it proves that he can still deliver the goods.

Flau’jae Gets A “Big Bag” On New Single

It’s only been a few months since Flau’jae unleashed her biggest project to date, Best Of Both Worlds. Despite this, the rapper and LSU Tigers athlete continues to deliver. She dropped her “Million Dollar Baby Freestyle” in October, and now, she’s back with yet another single. On “Big Bag,” she spits boastful bars about coming out on top both on and off the court. She certainly has no shortage of bragging rights, considering her success in not one but two career paths, and her energy is infectious.

The new release comes ahead of the deluxe edition of Best Of Both Worlds, which Flau’jae announced last week. It’s slated for release on November 15. During an interview with Complex in June, she opened up about what her debut album meant to her. “I love combining my two talents. Best of Both Worlds shows you don’t have to choose one path—you can excel in multiple arenas,” she told the outlet at the time.”This project reflects who I am—a basketball player, a rapper, and someone who refuses to be put in a box. I hope my fans can feel the passion and dedication I’ve poured into every song.”

What do you think of Flau’jae’s new track, “Big Bag”? Do you hope to hear more from her in the future? Are you looking forward to the deluxe edition of Best Of Both Worlds dropping on November 15? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.

Kalan.FrFr Assembles The West Coast Avengers For Stacked “Everybody (Remix)”

Kalan.FrFr was on a mission to MAKE THE WEST GREAT AGAIN in the first quarter of 2024. The eight-track project featured a handful of California’s most prominent figures, including Ty Dolla $ign and YG. However, he also called on acts from the Midwest like G Herbo to help his cause. Unfortunately, it’s a project that sort of came and went for us. But still it was nice to get something from Kalan during this resurrection of the West Coast. It’s been a big year for the entire region and business was especially booming in the spring/summer months. But Kalan.FrFr is making sure the success continues into the end of 2024 with the release of “EVERYBODY (Remix).”

This was initially a single for MAKE THE WEST GREAT AGAIN that was solely his. But for this remix, he’s merely playing organizer, as he’s limited to handling the chorus which is unchanged. When we mention organizer, it’s not just for three or four features. No, Kalan.FrFr called on 11(!) rappers from his area. Thanks to a press release, we have the scoop on everyone you will hear on this record. 310babii, OHGEESY, BlueBucksClan, John Mackk, and G Perico are the first half. Then, RJMrLA, Rucci, Heembeezy, CUZZOS, Wallie the Sensei, and CheffBoy round out the rest. So yes, it’s an ensemble performance to a tee and everyone’s bringing something to the table. Overall, it’s cool to see artists put these sorts of things together, and to get everyone pretty equal time is just as impressive. Check out the remix for Kalan’s “EVERYBODY” with the YouTube audio link below.

Lil Peep’s Estate Releases “Latitude” On Late Rapper’s 28th Birthday

The late Lil Peep would have been 28 years old on November 1. Born Gustav Åhr, the Los Angeles (by way of Allentown, Pennsylvania) rapper turned heads from a young age. He emerged as a popular act on SoundCloud by 2015, with his blend of trap, emo, and lo-fi resonating with younger fans. At the time of his untimely death in November 2017, Lil Peep was on the cusp of a mainstream breakthrough. He was just 21 years old. And now, to commemorate the birthday of the late burgeoning star, Peep’s estate officially released “Latitude.” The track had been floating around online for over a year, but only as a leak. This streaming release makes it formal.

“Latitude” was one of the first songs Lil Peep recorded. It’s so old that he was still using the name “Trap Goose,” which he changed in 2015 because his mother called him “Peep” as a child. It’s a spacey track, with a laid-back beat and Peep rapping in an equally relaxed flow. The track sounds similar to a lot of what was starting to get noticed online at that time. If you remember the YouTube channel SwagyTracks, it’s reminiscent of a track that would have gotten several million views after being posted there. The hook is catchy, and Lil Peep’s energy (or intentional lack thereof) turns it into a smooth listen, showing a surprising amount of polish for a then-17-year-old. Check out “Latitude,” an early track from a rapper lost way too soon, below.

Watch my hands move, baby it’s me (It’s me)

Bitch, it’s cold in my own city
You were down with me, used to want the whole scene, hey
I admit I never hated it
We were just some stupid f***ing kids, hated everything

Gang Starr Drops Surprise New Single “Finishem” On Fifth Anniversary Of Final Album

On the fifth anniversary of the duo’s final album, One of the Best Yet, the legendary Gang Starr is back with a single to commemorate the occasion. Since MC Guru’s death in 2010, producer DJ Premier has worked closely with Guru’s family to release the remaining verses in Guru’s collection. The result of that meticulous effort was One of the Best Yet, the first new album under the Gang Starr name since 2003’s The Ownerz. It was an emotional tribute to one of hip-hop’s greatest ever duos, boasting a long list of features as well. Their new song, titled “Finishem,” does not suggest that another posthumous full-length release is on the way, but it is a reminder of just how many songs and verses Guru recorded while he was alive.

“As One of the Best Yet was approaching the five-year anniversary mark, that milestone moved me to create a new track to match the occasion,” Preemo said in a statement first published by Rock The Bells. “The album is special on so many different levels; what it meant to me, Guru’s family, and the fans, it warranted something new to honor the occasion. I started going through files, looking for something that stood out and fit; and as soon as I heard Guru’s hook ‘now I’m about to finish ’em, my rep alone could diminish ’em,’ I knew that was it and went to work crafting a beat for it.” It’s another good track, and Premier and Guru’s family continue to handle posthumous Guru releases with an appropriate amount of respect. Check out the new single from the iconic hip-hop duo below.

Quotable Lyrics:

Two men enter, and one must fall
Only one man leaves, only one icon, y’all
This is your final fight, it’s your final night
Your last chance to dance, go ‘head, try your might
When I spit, I’ma show you complete hostility
Hurt you bad just for thinking you’d be as ill as me
Get your face bashed in, a few choppers lost
Get your chest caved in, headpiece, ya need a gauze

Kodak Black Shoots His Shot At Zendaya On Bold New Song “Versatile”

Kodak Black is going to do or say whatever he wants. It’s the attribute that has landed him in prison several times throughout his career. It’s also helped him accumulate a die-hard fanbase and a highly successful career. Pros and cons, obviously. Kodak Black decided to showcase his boldness in an unexpected way on his new album, Dieuson Octave. The album is packed with standard bars about enemies and flexing, but the song “Versatile” sees the rapper shoot his shot with superstar actress Zendaya.

It’s somewhat ironic that Kodak Black has a song highlighting his versatility. His music can be enjoyable, but few, if anyone, would describe him as versatile. We digress. The rapper dedicates a whole section of the song to Zendaya, and the crush he’s seemingly had on her for years. “Tell Zendaya I’d like to meet her,” the Florida superstar raps. “Had crush on her since she was on Shake It Up. Seen her on Disney I think she pretty and she fit me and like her name ‘cuse I’m Z’d up.” Shake It Up is the Disney show that gave Zendaya her start. Kodak Black also brags about being Z’d up, which means being drunk and high at the same time.

Kodak Black Voiced His Desire To Meet Zendaya In 2022

The rapper’s Zendaya crush checks out. He voiced a similar desire to meet the Emmy winner during a 2022 interview with HipHopDX. Kodak claimed that he wanted to audition for Shake It Up as a kid as an excuse to meet the actress. “I wanted to audition for Shake It Up so I could push up on Zendaya,” he said. The rapper also claimed that he wanted to audition for Nickelodeon, and that fans don’t realize how good of an actor he can be. “Just, just stay tuned,” he teased. “I know how to act.”

This is not the first time Kodak Black has publicized one of his celebrity crushes. The rapper actually took a lot of heat when he expressed interest in Lauren London in 2019. It wasn’t that he was interested in the singer, it’s that she had just lost her partner, Nipsey Hussle, a week before Kodak Black decided to shoot his shot. “I’ll give her a whole year,” he noted during an Instagram Live. “She might need a whole year to be crying and s*** for him… [I’ll] be the best man I can be for her.” Needless to say, London did not reciprocate.

Lil Uzi Vert Addresses Nitrous Addiction Allegations On New Song

Lil Uzi Vert is an enigmatic figure. They bring authenticity and emotional nakedness to their music, but at the same time, they remain hazy about the details. Lil Uzi Vert is a character at the end of the day, as the rollout for his new album can attest. Eternal Atake 2 poses the rapper as this extraterrestrial being with a wiped memory and a mysterious mission. One can be forgiven for getting caught up in the showmanship and forgetting that Uzi has dealt with personal struggles behind the scenes. The most unexpected part of his new album deals with these struggles, in fact.

Lil Uzi Vert kicks off Eternal Atake 2 with the epic song “We Good.” It’s as spacious and aggressive as fans have come to hope for from an Uzi intro. It does an excellent job of setting the table for the major themes of the album, but one line stood out from the rest. The rapper decided to break his silence on the allegations that they were addicted to nitrous. “They said I was lost,” they rapped. “They thought I was a dead dead guy, I was on the NOS.” NOS is a slang term for nitrous, and the line seemingly confirms what many fans feared.

Lil Uzi Vert Seemingly Admits To Inhaling Gas

A video of Lil Uzi Vert seemingly inhaling a balloon filled with nitrous went viral in August. The rapper was in the studio when he allegedly consumed the gas, and can be seen giggling afterwards. Uzi fans voiced their concern, and their desire to see the rapper clean up his act. The video of Uzi released shortly after Kanye West was accused of having a nitrous addiction of his own. A dangerous pattern seemed to have emerged, but neither artist have addressed the allegations outright. Until now, of course. Lil Uzi Vert has admitted to having substance abuse issues with the gas, and his word choice suggests it is no longer an issue.

The rollout for Eternal Atake 2 has also suggested a creatively refocused Lil Uzi Vert. The rapper put together an incredible rollout in the week’s leading up to the album’s release. Everything seemed very intentional, from the promos to the teaser songs to the imagery. Uzi is back on track, and if we are to take him at his word, then we could easily ascertain that kicking a dangerous habit has directly had an impact on this focus. We’re glad to have Uzi back.

Future And Travis Scott Drop A Heater With “South Of France (Remix)”

Future made a bold choice with Mixtape Pluto. He teased collabs with the likes of Gunna and Travis Scott. When the album dropped, though, the features were nowhere to be found. The songs remained, but Pluto decided to handle the verses himself. Fans were understandably disappointed. Some even posited that a deluxe version was on the way. Well, it’s been a month and some change, and still no deluxe. The silver lining is that Future has decided to bless fans with one of these unreleased collabs. “South of France (Remix)” is finally here. And Travis Scott has treated fans to a guest verse.

The beat absolutely knocks. “South of France (Remix)” lives up to its title, in the sense that it evokes the international feel through its airy instrumentation. It sounds expensive, and Future absolutely stakes atop the beat with eloquent flexes. “Posted on Front Street, start servin’ dimes. On the way to buy a square, re-rock, a nine,” Future raps. “I was in lil’ Mexico, once upon a time. I started off in these streets, young n**gas dyin.’” Travis Scott perfectly matches Future’s energy, while applying his trademark psychedelic embellishments. Scott’s absence from the original is still a mystery. Either way, it’s an improvement.
