EST Gee Drops Short But Effective New Single “Go”

Lousiville, Kentucky artist EST Gee was someone who had an amazing run during the pandemic. Overall, it was here that a lot of fans became acquainted with his music. Although he hasn’t been as active, he has still made sure to deliver great music for his fans. His last album was a hit, and since that time, his fanbase has been clamoring for as much new music as possible. As it turns out, EST Gee has no plans to disappoint these fans. Instead, he is still hungry to deliver.

On Tuesday, EST Gee returned to the rap game where he dropped off a short two-minute single called “Go.” There are no features on this song, and despite the short run time, the rapper makes sure to be extremely effective with his bars. Not to mention, there is minimalist production here that creates a sinister vibe that fits EST Gee’s flow to perfection. It is a song that showcases an artist who understands his strengths and plays to them.

Moving forward, it will be interesting to see what the next steps will be for the artist. We’re sure some out there are hoping that this is going to lead to some kind of album or even a mixtape. Although for now, fans are just going to have to hang tight for that information.

Lil Uzi Vert References Ongoing Ebro Feud In New Song Snippet

Lil Uzi Vert and Ebro are on opposing sides of the game. The former is eclectic and eccentric. They have reshaped their style multiple times over, and delighted fans at seemingly every turn. The latter is a vet of the old school hip hop approach. He’s tradition. Ebro has repeatedly criticized Lil Uzi Vert throughout the years, and it appears as though Uzi has finally responded. The rapper decided to send a very pointed message to the radio host in the title of their new snippet: “Ebro Chill.”

Lil Uzi Vert shared the snippet on November 19. The rapper treated fans to 40 songs of the unreleased song, which features a massive, glitchy instrumental. Uzi comes in with their trademark sing song flow and drops lyrics about feeling alone. “I can’t feel, I can’t feel,” Uzi raps. “Sometimes, I feel like life ain’t even real. And you tryna say I was lost, but I can’t fail.” The lyrics don’t reference a specific person, but the hook definitely does. Lil Uzi Vert repeats the phrase “Ebro Chill,” while their trademark ad-libs fill up the back end. It’s not a diss, per say, but it’s definitely a suggestion to the radio host to lay off.

Lil Uzi Vert Urges Ebro To Stop Being Critical

Lil Uzi Vert has never been an especially combative artist. They have spent most of their careers talking about their personal struggles, and their desire to find love. As such, it tracks that a new song pointed at a critic would take a somber, almost sad approach. Uzi doesn’t sound particularly eager to rag on Ebro, it just sounds like they want Ebro to, well, “chill.” It makes sense, given that the host has bashed Uzi within the last few months. Ebro recently spoke on Uzi during a recent live appearance, and claimed they were not a real “rock star.”

Lil Uzi Vert addressed these criticisms during a Complex interview. Instead of bashing Ebro in return, the rapper showed love to the host and partially agreed with his stance. “Ebro is a good guy,” they explained. “When I say rockstar, he’s looking at the fireworks, he looking at all that stuff. I understand that. I wasn’t, especially me being younger, I wasn’t able to explain exactly what I meant.” Uzi’s snippet has been met with praise on social media, with many claiming it sounds better than what they had to offer on their last album, Eternal Atake 2.

DDG Admits He Still Loves Halle Bailey In New Song “WHAT U BAD FOR”

DDG and Halle Bailey can’t seem to go very long without discussing one another. This is a chicken or the egg situation, admittedly. It’s impossible to know if they are talking about each other fans are interested, or if fans are interested because they are talking about each other. Either way, DDG and Bailey have been the focus of numerous stories since their break up in October. DDG, in particular, has dedicated a lot of his online content to discussing the mother of his child. He did so again on November 15, when he put out a new song.

The song in question is called “WHAT U BAD FOR.” DDG brags about all the women he’s bagged and all the money he’s made, but the most interesting bars come when he drops the boastful facade. He delves into his personal life, and the way he feels about Halle Bailey. “Thing about Halo mommy, you know that’s my baby forever,” he raps. “Y’all know that I love that—.” The word “go” takes the place of the word that would have otherwise completed the line. Elsewhere in the song, DDG talks about the criticism that he’s gotten online since the break up.

DDG Calls Halle Bailey His “Baby Forever”

“Yeah, they cappin’ and sh*t on the blogs, they think I’m a bum, but f*ck that sh*t,” DDG adds. “I like when they countin’ me out, ’cause I know I’m that n**ga, I love that sh*t.” The rapper’s bars might be a bit surprising to those who haven’t been keeping up with his live stream. Those who have, however, are aware that he has already admitted to still having feelings for Halle Bailey. In a recent Q&A stream, DDG told fans that he doesn’t want to have kids with multiple women, nor does he feel ready to date another person. “No, I’m not dating,” he asserted. “I haven’t moved on.”

DDG has mentioned Halle Bailey in his lyrics, before, but in a wildly different context. The rapper alluded to his superstar ex on the 2023 song “Famous.” He alludes to the fact that Bailey got close with her Little Mermaid co-star during the film’s press tour. “I been so insecure that I be thinkin’ you really be f*ckin’ n**gas you in movies with,” he rapped. Many theorize that this insecurity was partially to blame for the couple splitting. Either way, it appears as though there’s more to this story than a simple break up.

Juice WRLD And Nicki Minaj Join Forces For “AGATS2 (Insecure)”

Juice WRLD was a prodigious talent. The rapper scored major hits during his lifetime. His impact on the music world is still being felt even after his death. The rapper’s estate has confirmed that there will be a final posthumous release coming this month. The first single features the Queen of rap herself, Nicki Minaj. Juice WRLD and Nicki may not seem like a combination that makes much sense on paper, but it actually works impressively well on “All Girls Are the Same 2 (Insecure).”

The instrumental is classic Juice WRLD. It’s spacey, bassy, and allows for the rapper’s vocals to weave in and out. Juice WRLD often had an echo effect applied to his vocals that made it seem as though he was projecting from a huge, empty room. And the decision to do so here is reminder of his unique voice. It’s a pretty melodic cut, overall, so it should come as no surprise that Nicki Minaj decides to take a more soft approach on her feature. She doesn’t drop an aggressive sixteen, but rather harmonizes with Juice in a way that compliments both of their voices. “AGATS2 (Insecure)” isn’t a mind-blowing Juice song, but it’s proof that there’s plenty of quality material that fans have yet to hear.

The Weeknd Keeps The Club Vibe Alive With “Open Hearts” Single

The Weeknd’s versatility is underrated. He can dish out crossover pop smashes, tender ballads and killer hip hop features with ease. He does, however, excel most when he’s allowed to lean into his degenerate persona and make party music perfectly suited to making bad decisions. The Weeknd made his name as a lothario who spends too much time in clubs, and the sonic direction of his upcoming album seems to be leaning into the club element more than ever. “Open Hearts” keeps this trend going.

The Weeknd’s new single takes off like a rocket. There’s a glitchy bounce to the instrumental that evokes the 1980s while still keeping the sound firmly planted in the now. The beat sounds cool and confident, an all nighter still in the early hours. The Weeknd’s lyrics, however, convey a different story. In maintaining a theme laid out by the previous singles, “Open Hearts” reckons with the idea of finding love in a hopeless place. “Trapped inside a limbo, watching through a window,” he sings. “Of my soul, Suffering… I’ve been low, then I see your halo.” The seediness is strong as ever, but there’s a faint possibility of redemption in the verses. Hurry Up, Tomorrow is Abel Tesfaye laying the Weeknd persona to rest, and it’s obvious that he’s doing so in style.

Let us know what you think of this brand-new track, in the comments section down below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest news and updates from around the music world. We will continue to keep you informed on all of your favorite artists and their upcoming projects.

Young Nudy & Pi’erre Bourne Have One Their Most Sonically Rich Cuts Yet With “4Slime”

It’s Sli’merre season once again starting today, as Young Nudy and Pi’erre Bourne are here with the sequel tape. It’s been five long years; however, we are just thankful these two trap stars are back and working again. Overall, the rollout wasn’t too extensive for Sli’merre 2, with both artists first teasing the record on social media around Halloween. “11-?-2024 🐍🎱 X 🅿🏁 ITS GO BE FUN,” the Atlanta rapper said on Instagram. Pi’erre was equally as excited, replying, “Man I can’t wait 😂” Following that, the dynamic duo would go on to give fans the first look at the project with “Right Now” on November 6. Then, just five days later, they would return with the second and final single “Get Fu*ked Up.”

So far, fan reception remains solid with some calling it a great follow-up and fire all around. For us, there are definitely some tracks that are resonating. In particular, we feel that Young Nudy and Mr. Bourne kill it on “4Slime.” The main reason why we are diving into this one the most is because the multiple layers. Instrumentally, this may be Pi’erre Bourne’s best work on the project. There are a few beat switches, with each one hitting just as hard as the one before. The track kicks off with one the darkest sounds on the entire record with ethereal tones and sound effects. Those get amplified in the mix around the 1:30 mark and the segue into moodiest and waviest section of “4Slime.” Then, the aggressiveness returns in slightly different form, and then comes back to the first beat. It’s like you’re jumping through portals with different environments. It’s an adventurous listen and it’s why we cannot get enough of it.

Young Thug Reunites With Antonio Brown In The Studio After His Release

Young Thug is linking up with everybody who campaigned for his freedom. The rapper was seen in the studio with collaborators like Future, Travis Scott and Lil Baby on November 10. Two days later, a video surfaced of Thug hanging out with Antonio Brown in the studio. Brown had been a vocal supporter of the “free Slime” movement while Young Thug was behind bars, and the two appear to have picked up their friendship right where it left off.

The video in question was taken by Antonio Brown. He can be heard talking to Young Thug off camera. He pokes fun at the rapper for putting on weight while he was locked up. “You got some pounds, P,” AB claims. The rapper takes the comment in stride and the two men laugh in what appears to be a recording studio. It may seem odd to have Antonio Brown near recording equipment, but the former NFL superstar athlete has dabbled in music over the years. The most notable instance of an AB release was “Get In My Bag,” which was released in 2022 and featured none other than Young Thug.

The song was released while Slime was behind bars. That said, he still drops a verse and appears in the music video. Antonio Brown and Thug can be seen rapping and having fun in a neon-lit bowling ally. To further illustrate how much time has passed between now and the release of the song, “Get In My Bag” also has a cameo from Gunna. Thug and Gunna used to be extremely close. But the former has made it clear that he is not friendly with the rapper anymore.

“Gunna stop acting like we friends on the internet,” Young Thug tweeted on November 9. “I don’t know u my guy.” The revelation came as a shock to many, since the rapper had previously requested that he be able to work with Gunna upon release. Antonio Brown has also been embroiled in social media antics as of late. The former athlete made fun of the way Lizzo held a pen in a recent video. The singer responded by posting a video of herself and using AB’s words against him.

Lil Nas X Kicks Off New Era With “DREAMBOY” Video Teaser

Lil Nas X is at a bit of a musical crossroads. The rapper has several chart-topping hits under his belt, but it’s been a bit since he made headlines for music and not controversies. Lil Nas X’s talent is not a topic of debate, but his ability to refocus the narrative on his talent and not his image is proving more crucial than ever. Enter “DREAMBOY.” The rapper dropped the video teaser for his new era, and it features a comical set up and a split personality motif that we’ve seen various artists attempt before.

The teaser runs a little under two minutes. The rapper can be seen floating on wreckage in the middle of the ocean until he gets visited by a futuristic version of himself. The futuristic version sports white and pink gear and a helmet reminiscent of a Power Ranger. “I’m a higher version of you,” this version states. “And I’m gonna help you save yourself. It’s time to remember who are you. Who you really are.” Futuristic Lil Nas X then shows regular Nas X a series of videos seemingly tied to his past. A portal then opens up in the middle of the ocean and the regular version of the rapper jumps through it.

Lil Nas X Hasn’t Dropped An Album Since 2021

Before he does, he takes note of the song playing in the background. “Wait,” he says. “I know this song.” The song in question is implied to be the titular “DREAMBOY.” The screen then cuts to black, and the text “Phase 1 Ep. 1 – Let There Be Light” appears. Lil Nas X provided more context via Instagram, writing that DREAMBOY “vanished” when the world needed him most. He has always brought conceptual heft to everything he’s done, but this new era looks to be his most ambitious yet.

It will also mark the first wave of new music from Lil Nas X in years. The rapper teased the release of his mixtape Nasarati 2 throughout 2024, but the full tape has yet to see the light of day. Instead, various cuts from Nasarati 2 have been uploaded exclusively to SoundCloud. In terms of studio releases, he has not released new material since Montero in 2021. A lot has changed since then. We’re excited to see what the rapper has in store.

Real Boston Richey Pens A Bop For The Players With “Come Outside (So Sick)”

Real Boston Richey is one a few rappers on Future’s Freebandz label that has been seeing some success. Artists like Doe Boy and Young Scooter fit that similar mold. However, none of these names have truly become household acts under the Atlanta legend’s tutelage. But the Tallahassee, Florida native could become that one name that blows up. We feel that way because Real Boston Richey is making songs like “Come Outside (So Sick).”

What we mean by this is that he seems to have found a nice blend of sounds. It’s nothing that hasn’t been done before, but prior to his viral hit “Help Me,” it felt like he was going nowhere fast. But this mixture of moody trap and mild R&B that was prevalent on that record looks to be the secret recipe for him. It’s applied to great effect on other tracks on Richey Rich such as “Still Pray” and “Come Outside.” The latter is more R&B oriented with its chipmunk sampled background vocals and light keys. Lyrically it fits that billing too, as he raps in his raspy voice about encouraging a woman in relationship to link with him instead. With already over 180,000 views on YouTube, fans seem to agree that Richey is finding himself as an artist with tracks like this.
