Gunna & Megan Thee Stallion Lead Our Latest Stacked “Fire Emoji” Playlist Update

If you ever thought that music always slows down towards the end of the year, look no further than our new Fire Emoji playlist update as proof against that. There was a lot of amazing hip-hop that came out this week, from the new school to old legends. As a perfect example of a combination of those two, Benny The Butcher and Lil Wayne traded impeccable bars on the grimy single “Big Dog.” For those looking for more modern, woozy sounds, Gunna and Turbo came through to please on the new song “Bachelor.” On that same contemporary note, Megan Thee Stallion kickstarted her career comeback with her latest record, “Cobra,” which is an emotive but perseverant cut.

However, now let’s bring Fire Emoji back to the classics for a second with Jeezy’s brand-new double album, I Might Forgive… But I Don’t Forget. Moreover, the song “No Complaining” shows his power and charisma as an MC while still tapping into modern attitudes and aesthetics. Another hot album this week came from Tee Grizzley, who dropped the 16-track project Tee’s Coney Island. When you need to put on a menacing and fast-paced Detroit banger, his track “Loop Hole” with 21 S*vage will be right there waiting for you.

HNHH Fire Emoji Playlist: Stream

As we keep going further into our Fire Emoji playlist update, you’ll notice that the variety doesn’t slip up. A chemistry-filled and bouncy single from Travis Scott, Kid Cudi, and Pharrell Williams- “AT THE PARTY“- brings the intensity down while still providing an infectious atmosphere. There’s a similar waviness on Cochise’s new song “HOP IN THE WHIP,” although it’s more energetic and with faster flows. In addition, Kodak Black also dropped “2’CY,” which is a Jersey club-inspired record with a strong emphasis on his melodic delivery.

Finally, to close things out with the best releases this week, Rapsody and Hit-Boy teamed up for the dense and powerful track “Asteroids.” Also, we have The Alchemist’s new EP Flying High, Part 2, on which the Conway The Machine-assisted “Phil Drummond” is a massive highlight; Al even drops some bars of his own! Let us know in the comments section what your favorite release of these was this week, and also what we missed. Check out our Fire Emoji playlist above and stick around on HNHH for more great music releases each week.

Shenseea & Lola Brooke’s “Beema” Single & Music Video Bring The Baddie Energy

Shortly after confirming that her debut album is on the way, Lola Brooke continues to make her presence felt with a new collaboration. So far in 2023, we’ve heard the rising star connect with acts like French Montana, Bryson Tiller, Latto, and Yung Miami. This New Music Friday (November 3), it was Shenseea who Brooke joined forces with as the island gyal channelled her Jamaican roots for an infectious new single called “Beema.”

Shenseea’s beau, London on da Track came through with production, alongside Dready and Philip Cornish. The song begins with a sample of Louie Rankin setting the tone, declaring, “Don’t you ever bring scared business to me.
You’re lookin’ at the toughest rassclaat Jamaican in the United States of America.” When it’s her turn to show off her rhyming skills, the mother of one doesn’t hold back, spitting “You gon’ make me flash on a b**ch like paparazzi / I’m too fly to crash out, but f**k it, kamikaze” as the first verse concludes.

Shenseea Taps Lola Brooke for “Beema”

For her part, Brooke closes “Beema” out with big energy. “Even D1 players couldn’t hold up / Body like milk, nah, coca’,” she gasses herself up, perfectly matching Shenseea’s confidence. In the accompanying music video, both women glow while showing off for the camera, riding around in a Rolls Royce together before stopping outside a Miami store to rhyme the rest of the track.

Check out Shenseea’s latest visual for “Beema” featuring Lola Brooke above. If you think the song will be in rotation for you this fall, you can find it on Spotify/Apple Music. Giveon Offers His Rendition Of “The First Noel”

Still one of the more unheralded R&B singers of the past few years, Giveon is back to ring in the holiday season. He does so by bearing his version of one of the most well-known Christmas tunes of all time, “The First Noel.” Whether you groan at the sound of these songs or have them on repeat well after the holiday, you cannot deny that the music makes it a more jolly time of year. Honestly, we were wondering when Giveon was going to release some Christmas songs.

The man possesses one of the most deep and beautiful voices in the genre. It has been quite some time since Giveon has released any new material. In fact, over a year has passed by with nothing in sight. The last time we heard the Californian was for a single from the soundtrack of the film Amsterdam.

Listen To “The First Noel” From Giveon

He did nab another Drake feature for that record, though. When it comes to albums June 24, 2022, was the last day we got to hear a full project. That was Give Or Take, a 15-track solo offering. Hopefully, this version of “The First Noel,” is a sign for a collection of Christmas carols.

What are your initial thoughts on this brand-new single from Giveon, “The First Noel?” Is this the best version of this all-time great Christmas song? When do you start listening to Christmas music? We would like to hear what you have to say about all of this. With that in mind, be sure to leave all of your thoughts and opinions in the comments section below. Kevin Abstract Hops Over To Indie Rock On “Blanket” LP

For the past month or so, Kevin Abstract has been on a torrent run dropping singles left and right. When this happens, you know a new album is in the works. Those assumptions were correct in this case as well, with the BROCKHAMPTON leader making a full return to his solo career. The news broke the day he released the lead single, “Blanket.”

In fact, that also was the title track. Blanket is Kevin’s first album since 2019’s ARIZONA BABY. He was still a part of the alternative hip-hop group during that time. However, when they announced their disbandment in 2022, that sort of opened the floodgates for the leader to focus on his own material. Hence we have this LP before us today.

If you heard the title track, you know that Kevin decided to make a total 180 genre-wise. This 13-track tape is an exploration across the indie rock space. If you want to get a more detailed idea of where he wanted to go with this album, check out the Apple Music link above. But, here is a little precursor for you. “His [album] covers many of the same themes [as his previous records], though from the vantage point of someone wiser, more worn, and less susceptible to the whirlwinds of love and love lost.”

What are your initial thoughts on this brand-new album from Kevin Abstract, “Blanket?” Do you think it was the right move for him to ditch rap and go to an entirely different genre? Which songs are you enjoying the most so far? We would like to hear what you have to say about all of this. Fetty Wap Announces New Album “King Zoo”

Earlier this year, Fetty Wap was handed a six-year prison sentence for various drug-trafficking charges. He’s currently serving his time in New York City. For this reason, fans expected not to hear any new music from the rapper for a while. Fortunately for them, however, he recently announced that he has a new full-length album on the way, and it’s scheduled to arrive in only a few weeks.

Fetty Wap’s new LP, King Zoo, is slated for release on November 24 of this year. The album will follow Fetty Wap’s last full-length release, The Butterfly Effect, which he dropped in 2021. Listeners just got a taste of what’s to come on the new project with his single alongside Coi Leray. The duo delivered the new track, “1738,” to fans yesterday.

King Zoo Arrives On November 24

So far, listeners are impressed with the new collab, and can’t wait to hear what else the performer has in store for them. It’s no doubt that the two east coasters make a great team, and fans were glad to hear Coi flexing her vocal abilities. While he’s only a few months into his lengthy sentence, it’s clear that Fetty Wap doesn’t plan on letting his incarceration slow him down. Earlier this month, some new photos of the New Jersey native in prison surfaced online, appearing to show him faring well behind bars.

Though Fetty Wap’s got upwards of five years left until he’s finally released, his legal consequences won’t end there. He’ll undergo a five-year supervised release term once he’s out, and follow some pretty strict conditions. He’s to submit financial records, a DNA sample, seek permission to open any new bank accounts, and more. Are you looking forward to Fetty Wap’s upcoming album King Zoo? How are you liking his new track alongside Coi Leray? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below, and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.

Majid Jordan Delivers Nine-Track Project “Good People”

Majid Jordan is an r&b group that has been at it for a while at this point. Overall, they have a ton of great songs and albums. They became largely known for their work with Drake and OVO as a whole. However, they have been able to carve out their very own lane for themselves. It has been a joy to watch the group grow, and fans would say the same thing. That said, sometimes, they can take a long time between projects, which has left some fans waiting in the lurch.

Luckily, over the last month or so, the group has been dropping a plethora of singles. Their most recent single is a track called “Violet” which had a run time of over 7 minutes. So far, the three singles have created a nice base for a project. Today, that project was released and it is called Good People. As you can see below, the album is only nine tracks long, which makes it fairly bite-sized. However, the songs do have meat to them, which extends the runtime to about 42 minutes.

EARTHGANG Ignores The Flaws On Their New “Blacklight” Single

Another Atlanta hip-hop duo who is doing things outside of the trap box is EARTHGANG. They are back to provide some elements of funk and old-school vibes on an all-new track, “Blacklight.” The duo includes their secondary group, Spillage Village in the credits as well. However, that is essentially to promote this as assumedly a lead single for an upcoming collaboration project with the rest of the artists.

This follows up on their five-track EP, RIP Human Art. EARTHGANG put that out not too long ago on September 22. That featured the singles, “Bobby Boucher,” which Adam Sandler gave kudos to, and “Die Today.” RIP Human Art is expected to be a part of a new series of projects.

Listen To “Blacklight” From EARTHGANG And Spillage Village

“Blacklight,” as we said earlier, only features vocal work from EARTHANG members, Doctur Dot and Johnny Venus. However, there is no rapping anywhere to be seen. Both artists are singing in a drawn-out and raspy-like manner. The beat is very slow-mo-esque with hints of funk thrown in. The track is about loving your signficant other even with all of their flaws.

What are your initial thoughts on this brand-new song from EARTHGANG and Spillage Village, “Blacklight?” Will this land on an upcoming project, or will it be a loosie? What part of the track is your favorite? We would like to hear what you have to say about all of this. Conway The Machine And Che Noir Switch Up “We Outside” With Production From Big Ghost Ltd.

Conway the Machine is already hard at work to get another project out right before the end of 2023. We got a taste of the project last Friday, October 27, with the lead single “Brick by Brick.” Frequent collaborator and producer Wun Two handled the production. The full team effort is expected to release on December 22, according to Genius.

As of now, there are 10 tracks with three features from GooseByTheWay. What is really impressive for Conway is that this will be his third collaboration LP of the year. He previously worked with Jae Skeese and 38 Spesh, respectively. But before the Wun Two release, Conway has what appears to be a loosie out now.

Listen To “We Outside (Big Ghost Ltd. Version) From Conway The Machine, Che Noir, And Big Ghost Ltd.

On Speshal Machinery Conway and Spesh had a song featuring Pharoahe Monche and Che Noir. “We Outside” was the name and it had production from Spesh and Jimmy Dukes. Conway decided to pull that song and do some extra work with it. The new version has the Monche verse taken off, Che Noir remains, and producer Big Ghost Ltd. enters into the mix. He is another close workmate with Conway. Ghost changes up the beat entirely. The original beat is more boom bap while this one adds some woodwind loops and shots of sharp synths.

What are your initial thoughts on this new version of “We Outside” with Conway the Machine, Big Ghost Ltd., and Che Noir? Is Big Ghost Ltd.’s beat on this version better than the original? Playboi Carti Claims He’s Been Recording His New Album In A Cave

Playboi Carti fans have been waiting for a new album for a very long time. The rapper last released a new project late in 2020 when he surprise-dropped Whole Lotta Red. Since then he’s dropped almost no new material, simply appearing as a feature on other artists’ songs. Most notably, he joined The Weeknd and Madonna on the hit song Popular earlier this year. The song landed on the soundtrack for The Weeknd’s HBO show The Idol.

Now in a new interview, Carti is shedding light on his next album. He sat down with German culture magazine Numero Berlin to share some details on what he’s been up to with fans. He described trying to stay off of his phone and out of his own head to get in the zone for recording music. “I’m in my surroundings. I’ve been recording in Paris. I love Paris. I was recording in a cave for like three months and all the music that came out of that is just chaotic and crazy,” Carti explains. The revelation has to have fans excited, though skeptical if the material will ever actually see the light of day. Check out more from the interview below.

Playboi Carti Recorded Songs For New Album In A Cave

Despite Playboi Carti’s absence from releasing much new music, his influence is still very much felt. The most direct way is through his Opium label where artists like Ken Carson and Destroy Lonely carry on the rage style that Carti pioneered. He’s also influential in other ways. Earlier this week he served as the inspiration for Jaden Smith’s viral Halloween costume.

Carti did have a new song recently debuted on OVO radio. The episode was celebrating the release of Drake’s new album For All The Dogs. Included in the broadcast was the official debut of a Carti song that first leaked a few months ago called “Killers.” What do you think of Playboi Carti recording parts of his new album in a cave in Paris?
