Playboi Carti Brings Travis Scott Into The Opium-verse With “BACKR00MS”

Playboi Carti has been looking to drop new music this year. Overall, it is being speculated that he will be coming through with an album this month. He has dropped four singles so far. Firstly, he came through with “Different Day” which is also known as “UR THE MOON.” Secondly, he came through with “2024” which was an incredible departure from his previous sounds. Subsequently, we got “H00DBYAIR” which is arguably the best of the bunch. Most recently, on Monday night, he dropped “BACKR00MS” with none other than Travis Scott.

This is a track that was being promoted by a plethora of stars. Travis Scott himself, Kanye West, and even Ice Spice came through with their praise for the new track. At 9:30 PM EST last night, the music video for the track debuted, and it was certainly an impressive display. As you can see below, the video has a similar feel and aesthetic to the previous videos. However, this time around, we see Carti delivering a subdued performance that matches up with the production perfectly.

Playboi Carti x Travis Scott

So far, these new tracks are a huge departure from the sonics of Whole Lotta Red. Carti is embracing a new era, and so far, it is getting a lot of praise. With “BACKR00MS,” Carti is putting this new sound through its paces, and it seems to be working. While Travis Scott’s feature can also be described as subdued, he does a good job of staying in Carti’s pocket. Ultimately, it leads to a solid collaboration that helps cement the Opium founder’s new sound.

Let us know what you think of the new track, in the comments section below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for more news and updates from around the music world. We will always be sure to keep you informed on your favorite artists and their upcoming releases.

I took off my mask, you know, they mad, I don’t see below
And the hoes, they fuckin’ the hoes, big rocks on me, so cold

I was in the spot yesterday with my pops, my grandma still play bingo

Kanye West Reposts Playboi Carti Single Announcement, Sparks Fan Speculation

Earlier today, Playboi Carti announced a new single. He’s been dropping tracks on YouTube for a few weeks now but it seems like he’s gearing up to release his first official new song in years. Not only is he returning with a new track, but he also confirmed that it features Travis Scott. The pair have collaborated twice before already. Scott contributed a verse to the song “Love Hurts” from Carti’s 2018 album Die Lit. They teamed up again earlier this year for the hit song “FEIN!” from Travis Scott’s new album UTOPIA.

But the new single could feature yet another major collaborator. Kanye West uses his social media pretty sparingly these days but he took to his Instagram story earlier today. He did so in order to share Carti’s new single announcement, indicating he may have also had something to do with the song. Many fans speculated right away that he may have played a role on the production end of the song. That guess makes sense as West contributed production work to one of the songs Carti dropped on YouTube last month. Check out West’s repost of the announcement below.

Kanye West Shares Playboi Carti Announcement

In other Kanye West news, it was reported last year that he’s selling his $53 million Malibu mansion. The house is famously designed by architect Tadao Ando, but was stripped of many of its essential facets since West purchased it. Now an insider has revealed some of the reasons West is choosing to sell the sparse living space.

“Unfortunately, the concrete settled into more of a cadet gray and he was hoping for a warmer tone, more of dovetail gray or coachman’s cape. Ye would only visit the house at sunrise and sunset when he said the color didn’t irritate him so much. Eventually, he stopped going altogether,” the insider revealed. What do you think of Kanye West resharing Playboi Carti’s new song announcement? Do you think West did production work on the track? Let us know in the comment section below.

JPEGMAFIA Updates New Music Plans For 2024 With Fans

JPEGMAFIA started off the new year with a message to his loyal fans, who couldn’t be happier with his output in 2023. Moreover, his Danny Brown collab project SCARING THE H*ES is, for our money, the best rap album of last year, and they even dropped an expansion pack to add even more amazing songs to it. However, some fans expressed disappointment throughout the year when it appeared the Baltimore creative wouldn’t drop his other album that he promised fans in 2023. On Monday (January 1), he took to Twitter to explain to fans what happened, and to thank them for their patience that he looks forward to rewarding soon.

“Took a break for the holidays,” JPEGMAFIA’s Notes app message to fans began, which the “black enuff” lyricist apparently started writing half an hour before the clock struck midnight into 2024. “I’m finishing the album I was supposed to release this year. My plan actual plan for this album was to release it on January 1st. I was going to say nothing, and then do a fake apology on the 31st, and then surprise drop on the 1st today. But I always rush to finish things.

JPEGMAFIA Promises His New Album Is Coming In 2024

“I apologize to my fans i promised an album to this year, the album will be out 2024,” JPEGMAFIA continued. “I just have to keep working, to make it as best as possible for you. Happy holidays. To all the people in my life I love and that love me. & happy new year to all, even my enemies and their ugly a** kids and families. I will see you all next year.” What’s more is that the Black Ben Carson also reflected on his career history this year. For example, he re-released his 2013 mixtape The Ghost Pop Tape in its original version, plus a remastered edition.

Meanwhile, with the 34-year-old producing for various amazing artists, such as a recent credit on Armand Hammer’s new album, hopefully he keeps collaborating with other artists. He basically turns any song into his own whether he’s on the mic or behind the board, and seeing these fusions is always a thrill. Here’s to another top-tier and boundary-pushing album from Barrington Hendricks in 2024. For more news and the latest updates on JPEGMAFIA, stay posted on HNHH.

Playboi Carti & Travis Scott Dropping New Music Tonight

Playboi Carti’s Music is almost here, with an early January drop in the cards and various singles coming out on non-streaming social media platforms. Moreover, it seems like he didn’t want to waste any time in 2024, and is acting quite fast to get fans even more excited. To do so, the Atlanta native tapped one of the biggest artists working today, someone with whom he crafted one of the biggest songs of 2023. The “FE!N,” “Love Hurts,” and “Green & Purple” duo is back, as he and Travis Scott are apparently dropping new music tonight (Monday, January 1) at 9:30PM (time zone unclear). In a clip used to announce this, presumably one of the Whole Lotta Red stars onstage goons shouts out the good news.

Furthermore, this falls in line with previous hints of new music coming very soon from Playboi Carti’s producer, F1lthy. It seems like this confirms that was the case, even if the timeline that he set out wasn’t exactly how things ended up panning out. Still, there’s a lot of excitement for the rage pioneer to come through with another defining body of work, and it’s unclear what styles or sounds he will champion on this. Teases like “UR THE MOON,” “2024,” and “H00DBYAIR” sound less rage-heavy and more ethereal or rooted in typical trap.

Travis Scott & Playboi Carti Are Dropping Tonight

Of course, this isn’t all that’s contributing to this album cycle; after all, even Playboi Carti has to play the extracurricular game. In this case, it relates to relationship rumors, which are a bit concerning given his history with romantic trouble and alleged abuse and neglect in the past. Regardless, when the 28-year-old and Camila Cabello were spotted on a FaceTime call, people still went straight to the rumor mill to speculate. It’s certainly a very different headline that we’re not used to seeing with his rollouts.

Meanwhile, the “King Vamp” MC’s ex, Iggy Azalea, recently accused him of being an absent father again after he posted a clip of him with their son Onyx. A lot of drama surfaced around this in 2023, and hopefully 2024 brings better news regarding it. But what fans know for sure is that this year is finally going to end the drought for new Playboi Carti. For more news on him and the latest updates on Travis Scott, keep checking in with HNHH.

Cardi B Previews New Music And Parties With Offset For New Year’s

A pretty turbulent few weeks for one of rap music’s definitive couples could be heading towards better places soon. It was early last month that eagle-eyed fans online realized Cardi B and her husband Offset had unfollowed each other on Instagram. Normally that’s a pretty damning sign that things aren’t going particularly well. But in the weeks since there’s been a variety of different signs coming from the pair.

Cardi herself has been far more vocal on the matter. The rumors absolutely erupted when she went on Instagram live and described herself as single. They got even more potent when video of her taking shots at Offset publicly started to make the rounds a week later. Despite the drama, the pair spent Christmas together and remained book for the same venue on New Year’s Eve. The night seems to have gone off without too much trouble as videos of the pair enjoying themselves together made the rounds online. Check out one of the clips below.

Cardi B And Offset Together For New Year’s Eve

Fans aren’t really sure what to make of the newest developments between Cardi and Offset. Some returned to a conspiracy theory that emerged after their Instagram unfollows were first discovered. The theory is that they were causing drama to distract people from Nicki Minaj’s new album Pink Friday 2, though there’s no actual evidence for this.

Not all of the attention was on Cardi’s relationship though. During the night she also previewed some new music. Fans have been hoping for a new album from Cardi for years and she’s teased that it could be coming in 2024. Check out the preview she shared with fans below. What do you think of Cardi B and Offset spending New Year’s together despite rumors swirling about their marriage? Do you like the teaser of new music Cardi shared? Let us know in the comment section below.

Playboi Carti Dropping New Music Very Soon, Producer F1lthy Seemingly Confirms

Whether it’s for new music drops or his close association with other celebrities, Playboi Carti is drumming up a whole lot of noise right now. Moreover, fans couldn’t be more excited for his new album, which is presumably titled Music and will come out in early 2024. Some fans hope it’s a January release date, and while all signs point to there right now, we never know for sure with the Atlanta rage pioneer. However, one of his most acclaimed producers over the past few years just suggested on social media that the wait won’t be much longer. Well, at least for something new; maybe it’ll just be a single coming in the next few hours, it seems.

Furthermore, F1lthy took to Twitter recently to answer stylist Mitch Modes’ inquiry about a rumor they heard: that a new Playboi Carti track titled “Baby Boi” is dropping today (December 31). As of writing this article, nothing’s come up yet, but the producer still added fuel to the fire. “I heard that too !!!” he responded to Modes’ rumor. In addition, it’s unclear whether this would be another social media-only drop like “H00DBYAIR” or if it will officially become available on streaming services. Either way, we’re sure fans will spin it endlessly.

F1lthy Teases New Playboi Carti Music

However, there’s also some alleged beef brewing in the world of Playboi Carti. Recently, he shared a screenshot of an old Young Thug tweet that reads “Boy slow down dropping all that BS music.” Some fans assumed this could be a shot at Lil Uzi Vert, who had released the new track “Red Moon” a day prior. Still, there’s a lot of people that the “OnThatTime” artist could’ve dug at with this reference, and there’s no use in speculating.

Meanwhile, there’s some legitimate beef in the form of his mention of Benji Blue Bills on a recent cut, which got him quite heated. Benji released a video “reacting” to the supposed “diss,” which many fans thought looked staged or at the very least exaggerated. Regardless, we’re sure that Music will hold a lot more curious lyrical content that will send folks into wild theories and narratives. On that note, stay posted on HNHH for the latest news and updates on Playboi Carti.

Pooh Shiesty’s “Federal Contraband 2” Follows His Iconic 2021 Single

It’s Shiesty season! Even as he celebrates another Christmas behind bars, 24-year-old Pooh Shiesty is making his presence felt. Following his 2021 single, “Federal Contraband,” the lyricist returned last week with the song’s sequel. It consists of over seven minutes of bars from the Memphis-born performer as he reflects on life in prison, among other things over production from TP808.

“Yeah, man, you know I do too motherf**kin’ much, I’m Mr. Go Too Far / They might try to come and supersede me after all this shit I’m talkin’, you know I’m federal property now,” Shiesty tells listeners on the intro. As his first verse begins, the “Shoud’ve Ducked” artist gets candid about strained relationships with loved ones. “Losin’ relations with my family, it’s been six months since I called / It’s part of what I signed up for, I’m mentally built for it all,” he spits, taking pride in his strength.

DC The Don Reflects On Tour Life In New Track “BACKSTAGE”

Earlier this week, DC The Don dropped his new project Sacred Heart 2 just in time for the holidays. The Milwaukee-born performer shared a message with Twitter followers ahead of the release, revealing that it was his curated gift to his fans. According to the 24-year-old, his car was robbed a while back, and the perpetrator stole his laptop and hard drive.

While he admits that the mix isn’t necessarily up to his standards on some tracks, he wanted to release them for fans anyway. The project is a follow-up to the Sacred Heart mixtape he dropped on Christmas in 2022 to hold fans over for his third studio album. He went on to unleash Funeral in May of last year.
