Nicki Minaj Shows Her Love For Whitney Houston During Late Night Appearance

The blitz of media appearances following Nicki Minaj’s new album Pink Friday 2 isn’t over yet. During a recent appearance on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, Nicki participated in his Colbert Questionert segment. The segment sees the host and comedian asking his guests a series of rapid-fire questions. Nicki has always been quick on her feet and is known for some hilarious interview moments so it’s no surprise that the segment spawned some memorable moments.

She answered questions like what her favorite sandwich is, to which she rattled off a rapid-fire series of ingredients. She cites Gladiator and Black Panther as some of her favorite action movies, claims that snakes are the scariest animals, and chooses apples over oranges. But two of her answers really grabbed fans’ attention. When asked about her first ever concert she reminisces on a time she saw Jay-Z perform. It was or his famous Hot 97 Summer Jam show in 2001 where he surprised the crowd by bringing out Michael Jackson. Many fans were surprised to hear that Nicki was in attendance for the now-iconic performance. But that wasn’t the only music-related question she answered in the interview. Check out the full segment below.

NBA Youngboy Gives Surprising Answer To Question About Rod Wave Collab

Earlier this week NBA Youngboy sat down for an interview with Bootleg Kev for his podcast. During the interview, the rapper gave a number of strange and attention-grabbing answers to questions. One of which was when he revealed that he’s not “really big” on the idea of fatherhood as a concept. Some fans found that pretty surprising as he has 11 different children. But others used that same fact as proof that the statement makes a lot of sense.

In another clip from the interview, he discusses a potential collaborative project with Rod Wave. The Florida rapper and singer has a pretty big year on the back of his new album Nostalgia. Youngboy had plenty of praise for Rod as well. “That’s somebody who will be forever winning in the game. I think he love what he do. I think he’s so positive. I think he’s so taking in to the people of how he feel,” he said of Rod Wave. But when asked about a collaboration between the two, he didn’t think it was the right time for a surprising reason. “I think that would be a setback for him. My image f*cked up. I think I gotta stay in my own lane,” he replied. Check out the full interview below.

NBA Youngboy Says His Image Is “F*cked Up”

Elsewhere there were even more surprising claims in the interview. Youngboy has been under house arrest in Utah for more than two years now and he expects to one day be back behind bars. When asked about it Youngboy confirmed that he thought there was more jail time at some point in his future.

He did have some more normally interactions during the interview though. in one segment he cosigned Opium rapper Destroy Lonely. But he also told a story about almost being attacked by a wild cat when describing the difficulties of living in Utah. What do you think of NBA Youngboy’s claims that his image problems would make it a bad idea for Rod Wave to collaborate with him? Let us know in the comment section below.

NBA Youngboy Co-Signs Destroy Lonely, Makes Wild Claim About Cigarettes In New Interview

NBA Youngboy has done a string of fascinating interviews recently as people just can’t resist talking to him. That’s because every single time anyone sits down to talk with him some surprising moments come up. In his newest interview with Bootleg Kev, he makes plenty of these interesting and also funny moments. One of the strangest is when he claims that he “isn’t big” on the very concept of fatherhood. It’s surprising to hear with how many rappers fight so hard to prove they are good dads. During the interview, he also speculated that he will see more jail time in his future eventually.

But there are even more claims that fans are grabbing onto. One of the most absurd of the bunch is when Youngboy claims that he’s been smoking cigarettes since he was 7 years old. In the comments of a clip of him saying that fans unsurprisingly have jokes. “Bro been stressin since elementary school 💀” one of the top comments on the post reads. Fans also took note of Youngboy co-signing rapper Destroy Lonely. Lone is one of the most notable signees on Playboi Carti’s Opium label and released his new album If Looks Could Kill last year. Check out more Youngboy interview clips below.

NBA Youngboy Cigarette Story

NBA Youngboy had another interesting interview recently with Gillie and Wallo. During the interview he discussed his perceived reputation for being uncivilized. While he disputes the claim he also understands the role that some of his own behavior had in creating that perception in the first place.

During another memorable moment in that interview Youngboy flips the script on his interviewers. He surprises them by presenting them with a question of his own and it’s a pretty substantial one. He asks Gillie and Wallo “what makes you happy?” in a moment that had fans talking for days. What do you think of NBA Youngboy claiming that he has been smoking cigarettes since he was 7 years old? What about him giving a shoutout to Destroy Lonely’s Music? Let us know in the comment section below.

Boosie Badazz Speaks On Quando Rondo Arrest, Posts Throwback Prison Selfie

Boosie Badazz’s VladTV interviews with DJ Vlad are almost as certain as taxes these days, and they always contain some interesting diatribes. While some can turn more antic-heavy or scandalous, as the Baton Rouge rapper’s social media presence tends to be, this most recent sit-down resulted in a reflection on a recent arrest within the hip-hop game. Moreover, he spoke on Quando Rondo’s recent stint on federal drug charges, for which he nabbed a $100K bond. Vlad asked the 41-year-old why Rondo’s career is struggling with these legal issues despite his artistry and industry support. For this, he had a pretty nuanced and empathetic answer.

Furthermore, Boosie sought to emphasize how he can relate to Quando Rondo’s situation and his run-ins with the law. He said that his past collaborator’s behavior reminds him of his own when he was also a young artist with a troubled background. Specifically, the Trill Entertainment affiliate agreed with Vlad that the Savannah, Georgia native should consider moving to another city to stray further away from his volatile path. They discussed somewhere close like Atlanta, but also propositioned Miami and Los Angeles as solid options to begin anew.

Not only that, but Boosie also wanted to highlight the weight that personal accountability and responsibility holds when one attempts to break a vicious cycle of crime and legal trouble. As we know, he can relate far too closely to Quando Rondo’s status. In fact, the “Set It Off” MC recently posted a throwback selfie from when he was in prison on death row to his Twitter page, showing how far he’s come since. “2011” ME ON DEATHROW N MY CELL ON MY CELL PHONE FLEXING #somanydontknowmystruggle [prayer hands emoji],” he captioned the social media post.

Meanwhile, it would be interesting to see if these two spitters link up again one day, whether as comrades or as co-writers. They previously worked on tracks like “3 Options,” showcasing plenty of chemistry as Southern rappers. Hopefully Quando acknowledges and boosts himself off of those in the game that have his best interests at heart and can speak from experience. On that note, stay posted on HNHH for the latest news and updates on Boosie Badazz and Quando Rondo.

Nicki Minaj Dismisses “Bully” Backlash

Nicki Minaj’s new interview with Ebro Darden on Apple Music held so much compelling conversation and so many takeaways that we’re still parsing through its best moments. Moreover, they discussed her new album Pink Friday 2, her place in the rap game, her personal growth and current state, and much more. In addition, they also spoke on common criticism that the rapper is a “bully” for demeaning her peers, something that she was quick to laugh off. It’s a bit of an ironic reaction for an accused bully to tease folks as to why she would care about such a thing, but that’s just Roman being Roman.

“You’re just getting Nicki when you hear the music,” Nicki Minaj told the journalist and commentator during their sit-down. “The other stuff is work and some of it is play. I mean, let’s face it. This is my f***ing job. I have to have some sort of fun. If it means making fun of these h*es– why the f**k not? The thing is though, I’ve realized it’s like a movie. They’ve made me the bad guy so I’ve welcomed the challenge. You know why? It’s because I know I can accept that challenge. None of them can. None.”

The conversation around her “bully” backlash starts at around the 8:30 minute mark.

Furthermore, she also spoke on her acclaim in the rap game and how it differs to the critical leniency male rappers receive. “[It] always has mattered to me that, whether you knew how I look, whether you knew where I was from, whether you knew if I was a male, female, whatever, all that mattered to me was that, ‘Are they liking my raps?’” Nicki Minaj expressed. “And somewhere along the line, that shifted, and it’s everyone’s fault, as a whole, as our culture. It’s *nsane to go backwards. And I’m keeping it a thousand, because when I think about the people who inspired me, I can still pull from them right now. That’s why Biggie, rest in peace, he seems to always make his way on my projects. And I didn’t even realize that. You know what I’m saying?

“So thank God I had those kinds of people that, right now, I can still pull inspiration from them when I don’t have anything to pull from,” she continued. “Whether it’s Biggie, whether it’s Jay, whether it’s Foxy, whether it’s Wayne, whether it’s Lauryn Hill. Because they were so great, I don’t care about any of Biggie Smalls’ videos or Lauryn Hill’s videos. I care about the music. When I was riding on the trains to school, I had my CD player and my headphones. I didn’t give a s**t about what any of them looked like. And it kind of has become a little whatever.” For more news and the latest updates on Nicki Minaj, keep checking in with HNHH.

Katt Williams Should Do A Tour, Tommie Lee Thinks

Everyone’s got something to say about Katt Williams having so much to say about so many celebrities on Shannon Sharpe’s Club Shay Shay show. So much so, in fact, that many of these folks, whether he mentioned them or not, still decided to jump in and talk about how they’ve enjoyed this sling of takes from him. Moreover, one of these is Tommie Lee, who suggested that the comedian should go on a tour now that there’s a lot of new attention and drama surrounding him. “[It’s] very RAW if Katt made ah tour for everybody he just talked about…” she wrote on her Instagram Story around Thursday (January 4). “We need some comedy back in our lives… And it’ll dismiss that old Kevin Hart video J/S [shrugging emoji] but what do I know I’m just ~Tommie.”

Furthermore, we’ll see if Katt Williams responds to these demands or if he’s just going to let social media do its thing. For those unaware, he blasted Cedric The Entertainer and other comedians, spoke on the Megan Thee Stallion and Tory Lanez case, gave his thoughts on the Kanye West situation, and chastised Diddy for his sexual assault accusations. As for Tommie Lee, she didn’t catch any smoke, and hopefully that stays the same if the Cincinnati, Ohio native finds out she’s a fan. After all, we know that she has a lot of struggles in her life that don’t warrant the microscopic jabs of a media figure.

Tommie Lee’s Idea For Katt Williams

However, not everyone is pleased with Katt Williams’ statements. Trick Daddy recently fired shots at him for putting other Black people down. “Listen, man, stop talking about other n***as to be relevant in the game and trend,” he expressed. “‘Cause you was trending today, and I’ma be trending tomorrow on your b***h a**. And I’m with whatever you with, n***a. And every n***a, every comedian, everybody who you told a story [about] got more money than me and you. You on my level, b***h a** n***a. Ha-ha! The joke on you, p***y a** n***a. You ain’t funny, you a f***ing joke. Stop making fun of other n***as. Black folk, we have to stop belittling our brothers and sisters to get a platform. To get shares, to get likes, to get views, to trend. We have to stop!”

Meanwhile, what do you think about the Love & Hip Hop alum’s proposition? If Williams goes on tour, do you think other comedians will be happy to support? Whatever the case, let us know in the comments section down below. Also, stay up to date on HNHH for the latest news and updates on Tommie Lee and Katt Williams.

Nicki Minaj Addresses Lack Of “Pink Friday 2” Videos, And Her Answer Will Surprise You

Nicki Minaj is riding high off of the success of Pink Friday 2, and recently sat down with Ebro Darden on Apple Music to talk about her life and career. While the rest of the interview was quite enlightening and satisfying, the Barbz might not be happy with her answer to one of their burning questions: where on Earth are the PF2 visuals? Moreover, the Young Money alum explained how a conversation with J. Cole in the studio about her song “FTCU” inspired a new perspective on this. “[I] didn’t like the chorus because, you know, you wouldn’t be able to play it on radio,” she recalled how her talk with the Dreamville boss went.

“[J. Cole] was like, ‘Who cares?’” Nicki Minaj remarked to Ebro. Funnily enough, she recently teased a potential remix of this song with an as-of-yet unknown male MC. “He was like, ‘Man, f**k the radio!’ And I was like, ‘You’re right! F**k the radio!’ And it dawned on me. Why the f**k– this is not something I’m putting out to be as a single. This is something that’s a part of a body of work. And I didn’t even wanna put out singles. I purposefully don’t have videos out because I want y’all to listen to the music.”

As such, it seems like there’s not a lot of hope currently for us to get an “Everybody,” “Beep Beep,” or “Big Difference” music video. Still, it’s hard to ever imagine a world in which the Trinidadian superstar is anything less than a commercial powerhouse with anything she does. Pink Friday 2 broke Spotify records and, although divisive, still contains some beloved songs for the Barbz. Maybe her upcoming tour’s set-up is all we’ll get connected to the project’s visual aesthetics… and that’s okay!

After all, we still have plenty to look forward to when it comes to the 41-year-old’s still-evolving Pink Friday 2 rollout. She participated in a fan-favorite interview with Funny Marco, and has been hot on the press of the press with one media appearance after another. Nicki Minaj Speaks On Last Conversation With Her Late Father, Robert Maraj

Nicki Minaj recently spoke to Ebro Darden on Apple Music about her new album Pink Friday 2, hip-hop’s current state, and a whole lot more. While she’s very much enjoying herself these days and enjoying the success of her project, this sit-down also called for some reflection. For example, the Trinidadian MC eventually expressed some thoughts and remarks about her late father Robert Maraj, who tragically passed away following a hit-and-run in 2021. Specifically, she recalled their last conversation, which was just hours before his death. It’s quite the emotive moment to witness, and one we hope will allow the 41-year-old to continue to heal and honor her dad.

“One day, I was rocking the baby in the rocking chair in his room,” Nicki Minaj shared. “I do not normally even have the phone on me when I’m rocking him. Because at that time, I was mad strict… But anyway, that day, as I’m rocking him, the phone rings. I look down, I see it’s my father, I normally would not have picked up, I promise you. I would’ve said, ‘OK,’ because I don’t like to be on the phone with the baby there. But something said, ‘Pick up the phone.’

“I picked up,” Nicki Minaj continued. “He was very happy. He was like, ‘Baby, I can come on Monday.’ Because he had been waiting to come to Cali to help me. And I kept saying, ‘Come on out.’ That was Friday. He said he wanted to come on Monday. And we were so happy. I was like, ‘Yes! We’re gonna get help.’

“And then we went to bed and sometime late while we were all asleep, the phone rang,” she concluded. “It was my mother telling me that my father was in an accident and that she didn’t know what was gonna happen and she would call me back. And then everything started spinning, like literally.” For more news and the latest updates on Nicki Minaj, stick around on HNHH.

Funny Marco Thinks Bobbi Althoff Joint Tour Could Still Happen

If there was an award for “Best Breakout Comedy Star of 2023,” both Funny Marco and Bobbi Althoff would easily be in the running. They’ve been hard at work for longer, but this year is when they really started to get a lot more attention, laughs, and opportunities. However, it seems like things between the two are not as buddy-buddy as they once were, or Marco is just trolling us a little with his demeanor. Moreover, he recently spoke to Complex‘s Speedy Morman for 360 With Speedy at ComplexCon 2023 and addressed a previous promise that they would go on tour together eventually.

As their conversation began to wrap up, Morman asked Funny Marco about Bobbi Althoff and how he appeared on her show. When he asked what their relationship is like and whether they’ll go on the tour that they promised, Marco started drinking from his water bottle and asked how much time they had left (3 minutes, by the way). Speedy had already mentioned that their initial dates disappeared, so something must’ve happened, and Marco said that “she didn’t feel good,” so they scrapped it. Once Althoff feels better, though, he’s down to hop back on the road and talk about “just a whole bunch of fun stuff.”

Funny Marco Bizarrely Answers Bobbi Althoff Question

Furthermore, during this same sit-down, Funny Marco also spoke on his first-ever Open Thoughts interview with DaBaby. “It was dangerous,” he chuckled. “When I asked DaBaby why he rapped the same, I was trying to ask for the people. That was something I shouldn’t have did, but I did it. But it was great. We ended up making a great episode, got a great relationship. But sometimes I’m like, don’t ask what the people want to know– just ask what you need to know. So that was something that I learned from that.”

Meanwhile, Althoff’s been pretty low-key as of late, perhaps due to backlash for recent interview snippets. Either way, if she’s not feeling well, we wish her a speedy recovery with hopes that she’ll be able to enjoy this tour. These comedians are known for their dry humor, so that bizarre chemistry should be something pretty comical to see. Chaka Khan Speaks On Retirement, Shades “B***hes” Who Do It “Three Or Four Times”

Chaka Khan recently gave Rolling Stone a lengthy and illuminating interview centered around her induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Moreover, she obviously has an indelible legacy in music, art, and culture, and a lot to reflect on as her trajectory continues forward in life. The funk legend still performs and is active in the music space, although she definitely considerers an exit every now and then. However, when asked whether she’d ever retire in this new conversation, she gave a surprisingly shady answer that might target other singers in her immediate genre or era circle. Either that, or it’s a comical jab at current artists “fake retiring” these days instead of older acts stretching out their relevance.

“Well, I might do that three or four times, like other b***hes do,” Chaka Khan responded to the question of whether she’ll ever fully give up performing. She explained that she doesn’t want to tour anymore but will keep doing shows, as she wants to shift gears to spending time with her grandchildren and other personal matters. Still, the Chicago native didn’t have to blast other artist to relay this info. Previously, she had dissed Mariah Carey, Adele, and Mary J. Blige for their talents.

Chaka Khan’s Shady Thoughts On Retirement

“Recently, I [talked] about a list of the ‘greatest singers of all time,’” Chaka Khan expressed in her apology for these remarks on Instagram. “Instead of questioning the need for such a list, I was pitted against other artists and I took the bait. As artists, we are unfairly put into ‘boxes’, ‘categories’ or on ‘lists.’ Being an artist or musician is not a competition. It’s a gift, for which I am truly grateful. It was not my intention to cause pain or upset anyone. To anyone that felt this way, I sincerely apologize.”

Meanwhile, another apology of sorts came when the 70-year-old spoke of her bond with fellow Chicago artist, Kanye West. She took issue with his sample of her song on “Through The Wire,” but during this interview, she called it a “silly grudge.” We’ll see what other hot takes and perspectives Chaka Khan comes through with about the music industry.
