SZA & Kendrick Lamar’s Charisma & Chemistry Is On Another Level On “30 For 30”

Just when we thought SZA dropping SOS Deluxe: LANA was going to be more than enough, she stuns fans with another Kendrick Lamar collab. Her former TDE labelmate is the only guest on the brand-new reissue, which contains 15 extra songs. They reconvene on “30 For 30,” the third record in, and its arguably their most charismatic effort together. SZA told British Vogue back in November that LANA was going to effectively be from a more upbeat headspace. You can tell that the mission was carried out on this track for sure. She sounds very expressive and adopts some Kendrick’s vocal acrobatics to some extent.

Even though this is more of relationship-related cut, his part on the chorus (see below), is sure to cause some debate online. We can already envision the theories on how this is a subtle response to Drake’s recent UMG lawsuit. This is just what Kendrick does though (especially now) whenever he hops on another artist’s record. He instantly has everyone gravitating toward what he’s got to say. But outside of that, the song is another phenomenal addition to their joint catalog. It’s their third of the year after SZA assisted him on GNX with “luther” and the closer, “gloria.” Check out “30 For 30” with the “[Via]” link below.

Quotable Lyrics:

Some of y’all just go pop s***
Some of y’all just go talk (Talk)
But none of y’all ain’t really got s***
Some of y’all just look lost (Lost, yeah)
I get this type of feeling you ain’t accustomed to
I swear I’d be at peace if it weren’t for you (Yeah, yeah)

50 Cent Uses AI To Tease New “Missionary” Collab With Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, And Eminem

Yesterday (December 11), 50 Cent took to social media to tease his collab with Eminem, Snoop Dogg, and Dr. Dre on the eagerly anticipated upcoming album, Missionary. He shared an AI-assisted commercial featuring the track, “Gunz N Smoke,” which shows Snoop and Dre meeting Frank Sinatra and Sammy Davis Jr. “NEW HEAT @snoopdogg FT. @eminem & ME 🔥GUNZ N SMOKE,” he captioned the post.

Missionary will be a sequel to Snoop’s 1993 debut Doggystyle and is slated for release tomorrow. In addition to Fif and Eminem, it features the likes of Method Man, Jelly Roll, Sting, Jhené Aiko, and more. During a live taping of Drink Champs at Complex Con in October, Dr. Dre opened up about working on the project, even calling it some of his best work yet.

50 Cent Prepares for The Release Of Missionary

“Snoop came in and allowed me to get down the way I get down,” he explained at the time. “You know, I feel like this is some of my best work. Because my mentality for the musicianship and everything that goes into doing this s**t within those 12 notes has just advanced so much. So, yeah, I feel like right now, today, this is some of my best work.” As for 50 Cent, he discussed the new collab during his appearance on “The Kelly Clarkson Show” earlier this week.

He also joked about Snoop Dogg’s smoking habit. “That’s not even getting high,” he said of Snoop’s excessive marijuana consumption. “I think you have to relax; you have to come down to be sober to get high again. Like he’s just sustaining feelings.” This isn’t the first time he’s used AI recently either, as he also used it to troll Diddy and Jay-Z. He shared an AI-generated video of the duo getting arrested shortly after they were both named in a lawsuit for alleged sexual assault of a minor.

B-Real Taps Psycho Les To Produce His New Project “Real Psycho”

Two underappreciated hip-hop acts are departing from their groups and coming together for a banger of a project. B-Real, California spitter known for his connection to Cypress Hill, and Psycho Les of The Beatnuts are collaborating for Real Psycho. According to the Underground HipHop Blog, this is their debut album as a duo, and they couldn’t have begun this venture any better. It’s a 14-song effort that includes features from Too $hort, Stephen Carpenter, Demrick, Big Twins, Son Doobie, and DJ Doo Wop.

Leading up to this tape’s release, B-Real and Psycho Les (who’s in his producer role this time), shared a couple of teasers. “You Might Know Us” and “Lyrical Hammers” were those tracks. Overall, these two don’t have a ton of history together. However, it’s better that they do in some capacity because they sound like a perfect match. Given that B-Real is from the West Coast and Les is from the East, there’s a nice concoction of those styles here. “What We Came To Do” with Too $hort is a pretty good example of this. Overall, there’s head-nodding beats with some solid rapping from B-Real, so you’re really getting the best of both worlds. Check it out below.

Megan Thee Stallion Connects With Twice For Colorful K-pop Crossover “Strategy”

If you follow Megan The Stallion, you know how much of a fan she is of other cultures. That’s especially true when it comes to Japan. While K-pop super group TWICE hails from South Korea, the Houston rapper isn’t going to turn an opportunity to work with them because of that. That’s exactly what’s going on this weekend, as they have just dropped off “Strategy,” the opener and title track from TWICE’s 14th (!) mini album. If you aren’t familiar, they one of the most popular K-pop groups, with BLACKPINK and BTS maybe the only ones ahead of them.

They are known for songs like “What is Love?” “FANCY,” “The Feels,” and “I CAN’T STOP ME.” “Strategy” could very well join these tracks as one of their most beloved, though, because it’s extremely catchy. It’s got this cute charm and colorful personality about it that just works. The producers really made a winning instrumental by including various instruments and sound effects that are all perfectly placed in the mix. Also selling the record for us are the pre-chorus, chorus, and refrain. It’s a very empowering girl anthem about getting a man to fall of them under their own strategy. Megan also has a playful and animated verse on the backend that ties things together quite nicely. Once you hear, you will get addicted. Trust us, we are speaking from firsthand experience.

Quotable Lyrics:

Do you like that? (Huh?)
When I smack it and you watch it bounce it right back?
He really lost it when he saw me do the right, left (Hmm)
I’m a man eater, you are just a light snack (Baow)
I got him pressed like he’s workin’ on his triceps (Hmm)
I’m a flirt, I’m a tease, they be hurt after me

Hitkidd, Rico Nasty, Duke Deuce, & Xavier Wulf Drop Off A Crunk Anthem With “B.W.T.U.”

Hitkidd threw his name into the “election” this past weekend with his new tape, Hitkidd For President. It’s the Memphis producer’s fourth project overall and second this year. If you haven’t heard of his work before, go check out GloRilla’s “F.N.F (Let’s Go)” and then come back. He’s been moving up the ranks for the past five years and he’s looking to be one of the faces of Memphis hip-hop that will carry the sound on for decades. He’s still just 29, so he’s certainly got the time to really stamp his name into the region’s rich history of rap. Hitkidd For President had been in the works for about a year or so, with the first single, “Throw Ya Signs Up!” dropping back in August 2023.

It seems like the mission for this body of work was to bring more modern-sounding bangers with some odes to subgenres from the city. One of those is crunk, which is prevalent on the stacked Hitkidd collaboration between Rico Nasty, Duke Deuce, and Xavier Wulf, “B.W.T.U.” That stands for “B**** We Turnt Up” and that acronym is a very accurate representation of the track. Right after the sung chants of “Start a f***ing revolution,” Duke Deuce comes in and immediately gets you ready for what’s ahead. His now iconic and drawn-out catchphrase “What the f***” and “Aye aye” adlibs set the tone perfectly for Rico’s nasty delivery (pun intended) and Xavier’s old-school Memphis delivery on the backend. It’s a banger through and through and an instant save from the project. You can spin it for yourself, below.

Drake’s New Chino Pacas Collab Has Social Media Declaring He’s Fallen Off

Last night, Chino Pacas dropped off his eagerly anticipated collab with Drake and JOP, “Modo Capone.” The track sees the Toronto rapper try out a different style than his fans are used to, and as expected, it’s sparked mixed reactions. While some are glad to see Drizzy step out of his comfort zone, others wish he hadn’t.

Several critics on Twitter/X point out Drake’s Spanish in particular, and argue that it ruined his verse for them. This isn’t the first song he’s done in Spanish, so some listeners say they expected more. “Kendrick washed Drake so badly that he didn’t just change genres but languages too,” one critic writes. “This painful!” someone else claims.

Drake Tries Out A New Style On “Modo Capone”

Fortunately, not everyone has something negative to say about Drake’s new collab. Some are praising him for his versatility, and claiming that the song is a bop. “Drake’s Spanish has NOT improved song goes hard tho,” one fan says. “I’ll congratulate drake for the attempt lol,” another writes. Obviously, Drake is subject to more scrutiny than ever these days after his battle with Kendrick Lamar. For this reason, social media users will find any reason they can to rip him to shreds, and this collab is no exception.

It’s not the first time he has stepped out of his usual genre recently, however. Earlier this month, he and his dad also performed a duet at a jazz club in Toronto. They performed T-Bone Walker’s 1947 song “Stormy Monday” during Shane Philips’ set with the Band of People.

Tee Grizzley & G Herbo Skate On Their Latest Collaboration “Swerve”

Tee Grizzley has just put out Post Traumatic, his twelfth project and follow-up to Tee’s Coney Island. The Detroit native has won our support for it, as we really appreciate some of the chances he took with it. There are some nice sample flips and more R&B-like cuts on this 24-song set that go over better than some may expect. What’s also nice about this tape is that Grizzley is giving his fans what they know him for as well. That is hard-hitting trap and hardcore rap bangers with intense flows. Tee Grizzley and G Herbo are doing that and at a high level on “Swerve.”

If you can believe it, this is just the third occasion in which they have been on a song together. The most recent is on YG’s latest record, JUST RE’D UP 3, on the track “MALIBU.” Prior to that, the Midwest stars linked on Tee’s Built For Whatever cut, “Never Bend Never Fold.” On “Swerve,” Herbo and Grizzley equally trade verses and in thrilling fashion. Aiding that sensation is that the fact that they both rap with ease over a dramatic piano trap beat. They indeed slip, slide, and “Swerve” all over the production and it’s one of our go-to’s from this tracklist. Listen to it below and see what you think.

Anything I say false, then you can intervene
Like how I used to walk with .40 Glocks and make them b****es sing (Bop)

Veeze Links With Tye Beats For Producer’s Debut Single “Wocky Sinner”

Damn Tye you made this b**** too” is a producer tag you are going to be hearing a lot more from very soon. That is tell-tale sign that Detroit, Michigan native Tye Beats is behind the boards, and you can hear it on his new single with Veeze, “Wocky Sinner”. In fact, this is the up-and-comer’s debut release. However, Tye has been making beats for a little bit now. One of his biggest credits is on 21 Savage’s latest album, american dream. His work lands on the Summer Walker collab “prove it”, and that R&B style is something that Tye specializes in. Another key track that he has been a part of is actually another Veeze track.

He put the instrumental together for the “GOMD” remix which features Lil Uzi Vert. You can find that track on the deluxe version of Veeze’s latest commercial effort, Ganger. With these big accomplishments in the rear view, Tye Beats is looking to take that next step. Producer albums are huge, and they have been perhaps even more so over the last few years. Soon, he will be throwing his name into that ring with his debut album Damn Tye. The project will be out August 8 and will include this Veeze collab, “Wocky Sinner”. On this single, Tye samples Bryson Tiller’s “Timeless Interlude” from his 2020 LP A N N I V E R S A R Y by pitching up the background vocals from it. Then, he gives it the traditional Detroit treatment that has been sweeping the city lately. The skittering drums and hi-hats and resonant bass tie things up nicely, leading to a vibey banger to get fans ready for Damn Tye.

XXXTentacion & Juice WRLD’s Teams Seemingly Tease Posthumous Collab

XXXTentacion and Juice WRLD are both artists who saw tragic and untimely deaths. Despite this, they’ve each maintained fiercely loyal fanbases. X passed away in 2018 after a shooting in his home state of Florida, while Juice WRLD died of an accidental overdose at Chicago’s Midway Airport the following year. Supporters have since heard posthumous releases by both of them separately, but now, it looks like the two of them might land on the same project sometime soon.

Earlier today, XXXTentacion’s official Instagram account posted a screenshot of a group chat including various members of their teams. “Juice wrld xxx,” the chat was labeled. The Story post arrived with no caption, leaving some room for interpretation. Fans are convinced, however, that this means a posthumous collaboration is on the way.

XXXTentacion & Juice WRLD Could Have New Music On The Way

As expected, the apparent teaser has earned mixed reactions from social media users. While many can’t wait to hear what they come up with, some are calling it a “cash grab,” and accusing those involved of simply doing it for money. Others claim that while they think their deaths are being milked for financial gain, they’re still looking forward to hearing the collab. “Another cash grab,” one critic writes in Kurrco‘s X replies. “Let them rest,” another insists.

Other commenters are expressing concerns over the collaboration itself, and whether or not it will be done in a way both artists would approve of. They’re looking back on previous posthumous releases that haven’t gone over well with fans, and sharing hopes that this won’t become one of them. What do you think of XXXTentacion and Juice WRLD’s teams seemingly teasing a new posthumous collab on social media? Are you looking forward to hearing it? What about the criticism they’re already receiving for the project online? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below, and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.

Remy Ma Catches Heat For Her Bars About Her Shooting Case In New Fat Joe Collab

Remy Ma’s new verse on the Fat Joe and Cool & Dre collab “Outta Control” has a lot of fans on social media raising their eyebrows. Moreover, their concern stems from her opening bars that reference her 2008 convictions of assault, possession of an illegal weapon, and attempted coercion for shooting her colleague Makeda Barnes-Joseph in 2007. “They say I shot my friend over a band, and? / Imagine what I’ll do to a b***h I can’t stand,” Eazy The Block Captain’s alleged flame spits on the cut. “Why would Remy Ma start the song off like that?” one fan shared online, with another adding: “Sis that’s not the flex you think it is wtf. It’s giving broke.”

Furthermore, sadly Remy Ma is dealing with a lot of alleged criminal developments in her family, as her son Jayson Scott caught murder charges recently. “Three people that when I catch them, I don’t give a f**k who they call,” she expressed recently, blasting three mystery individuals whose connections to her son’s murder case are unknown and completely speculative at press time. “Smacking they f***ing cheek off and that’s just that on that. And they know it too.”

Fat Joe, Remy Ma, Cool & Dre’s “Outta Control”: Stream

We stand by JaySon’s innocence and pray that the NYPD will conduct a complete and thorough investigation to reveal the truth,” Remy Ma stated to TMZ. “This is undoubtedly a difficult time for my family and me. While we sincerely appreciate the love and support we have received from all of you, we kindly ask for privacy as our legal team works to prove Jayson’s innocence. As his mother, I want to address this situation personally but have been strongly advised by his legal counsel not to say anything -– as most people in similar situations are informed by their attorneys due to it being an active case.”

Meanwhile, we can only guess as to Fat Joe’s reaction to these new Remy Ma bars, and as Terror Squad partners, we doubt they’re at all out of sync. She still has to deal with some fallout from the whole Eazy The Block Captain, as Cassidy recently released a diss track against him that referenced some of this scandal. It’s clear that there’s a lot of bad blood to air out there. Hopefully they can continue to solve it through rap battles and nothing more.
