Kevin Abstract Announces First Post-Brockhampton Album

Last week, California via Texas rap group and boy band Brockhampton released their final two albums. The Family and TM served as the last new material from the group before they officially dissolved. While other former members like Merlyn Wood, Dom McLennon, and Ameer Vann have released solo material of their own, the group’s de-facto leader is about to make his first solo move post-Brockhampton. While The Family is largely handled by Kevin Abstract and some have labeled it a solo album, he’s got an official solo record on the way very soon.

It isn’t Abstract’s first solo project. Before the band’s breakthrough he released the conceptual American Boyfriend in 2016. The song was a quick hit with rap fans for its honest storytelling and it spawned the hit song “Empty.” He followed that album up a few years later with his ARIZONA BABY project. The record came out a few months before Brockhampton returned with their critical darling album GINGER. Abstract’s second solo album also spawned his biggest hit as a solo artist “Peach.” Now after four years of shifting his focus elsewhere, he’s returning with new solo material. Check out the announcement post below.

Offset On Playboi Carti Not Clearing Set It Off Feature

For obvious reasons, listeners were pretty disappointed that the collab was scrapped. This led to some speculation online that Carti’s team was behind the whole thing. Now, he’s officially revealed the reason behind the missing collab, and it turns out that fans were right.

Peezy Enlists Ty Dolla $ign, Larry June, BabyTron, And More For New Album “GHETTO”

Peezy’s strong year continues with the release of his brand new album, GHETTO. It is the Detroit MC’s 22nd (!) project to date, showing how quick and hard-working he is to get material out to his fans. This fast turnaround is nothing new for Peezy, considering he dropped five tapes in 2017. For 2023, the rapper already has two other LPs out now.

The first of them was a collaborative effort with Baltimore rapper Yg Teck on February 17. That was a 15-track album. The second was a shorter effort, standing at just eight cuts. Interestingly though, it is also called GHETTO, which was put out on April 21. This newer GHETTO is more of a full-fleshed-out set of songs. None of them from the one back in April appear in this October edition.

Bad Bunny Reveals New Album Title And Release Date

Bad Bunny continues to impress listeners in 2023. He has been a nice run of features on some big artists’ records. You can find on the reggaeton-inspired cut “K-POP” on Travis Scott’s UTOPIA. His most recent guest verse shows up on Drake’s For All The Dogs. He laid down his vocals on the short and sweet cut, “Gently.” Just a few days ago, the Almirante Sur, Puerto Rico native took home plenty of hardware at the Billboard Latin Music Awards. In fact, he snuck off seven awards, including being named the Artist of the Year.

Now, he might be on his way to that title next year as well. The recording artist’s albums usually do large streaming and sales numbers. His 2022 tape, Un Verano Sin Ti, was easily one of the biggest releases in the music world period. To put it in perspective, the track “Me Porto Bonito” is currently sitting at over 1.5 billion streams. One of his newest tracks, “WHERE SHE GOES,” is well on its way to possibly succeeding that song. It has only been out for five months and it is about to hit 500 million plays on Spotify.
