Katt Williams Is Producing A New Tupac Album Featuring Unreleased Verses And Cardi B

Did you know that Suge Knight has a podcast? I didn’t, and now I do, and I don’t know what to do with that information. Part of me thinks that there is no way Suge Knight should have a podcast, especially considering he’s currently in prison for running someone over with his SUV.

On the latest episode of this podcast, Collect Call (great name, by the way), Suge’s guest, Katt Williams, claims he’s working on a new posthumous Tupac album with some of the California rapper’s unreleased verses. One unexpected guest he names is Cardi B, which is sure to delight Gen-X and millennial hip-hop fans who grew up on ‘Pac’s music in the ’90s. The discourse is bound to be exhausting.

As they discuss the potential project Williams is putting together, Knight asks, “How many people you gonna have on the project?” Katt says there will be eight, and they’ll be “only the best of the best.” Knight also queries, “I heard Cardi on the project with you, is that true?” After confirming her presence, Knight calls her “the female version of Tupac” and Katt agrees, “We love Cardi B. She’s going to mix with him nicely. Everybody that’s on it is a piece of him, in a way.”

Young Thug’s RICO trial is still underway, with YSL co-founder Trontavious Stephens recently being called to the stand. Stephens, who also goes by nicknames Tick and Slug, took a plea deal back in December of 2022. As part of the deal, he’s had to testify, and most fans can agree that it’s been a win for Young Thug’s defense.

Most recently, he was asked to define the term “slime” in court, though his definition may not be exactly what fans expected. According to him, it’s an acronym that stands for “Slug Love I Me Everything.” Social media users have had mixed reactions to the clip. While some think his definition makes a lot of sense, others are cracking jokes.

Slime Means “Slug Love I Me Everything,” Trontavious Stephens Claims

Earlier in the trial, Young Thug’s lawyer similarly made headlines for claiming that the title of the rapper’s track with Future and Gunna, “pushin P,” actually stands for “pushing positivity.” This resulted in countless memes, and even prompted an educational post from Thugger’s Instagram account in December. The post included definitions of several of his frequently used slang terms, such as opp and slime. According to the post, slime means “seeing lord in me everyday,” while opp means “overly positive pal.” 

While plenty of fans approve of Stephens’ approach to his testimony, others have been critical, including Ralo. Earlier this month, he took to social media to reveal that he’d never testify like he is, particularly if it concerned one of his own childhood friends. “Man ain’t no way Shawty just got on that stand against his childhood friend,” he Tweeted. “I rather die ah thousand deaths before I do some sh*t like that.” What do you think of Young Thug’s ongoing RICO trial? Pharrell Williams Previews Old Miley Cyrus Collab During Cowboy-Inspired Louis Vuitton Fashion Show

Pharrell Williams is easily one of the best creatives of his generation. Overall, he is responsible for some classic songs and projects. Moreover, he is someone who has entered the world of design. For instance, he has done work with BAPE, Billionaire Boys Club, Adidas, and now, Louis Vuitton. In fact, he is currently the head designer over at Louis V and is taking up where Virgil Abloh left off. He has a few fashion shows under his belt already, and these endeavors have proven to be quite successful.

Yesterday, Pharrell got to host his Louis Vuitton fashion show for the Fall/Winter 2024 season. It was a pretty cool show that even featured the likes of Pusha T. Furthermore, a ton of big celebrities were there, including those from the hip-hop world. The new collection is Cowboy-themed and explores the America Old West. It is a really cool concept, and as you can imagine, it was accompanied by some Pharrell music. For instance, below, you can hear a song with none other than Miley Cyrus.

According to HipHopDX, this is actually a pretty old track. It was meant for the album Bangerz which is an infamous project from Cyrus. However, it seems like it is being repurposed. Perhaps an official release could be coming down the pipeline, sometime in the future. That said, Pharrell also got to show off his new song with Mumford and Sons. This is definitely a collab no one saw coming, but alas. Pharrell has always been eager to try new things, and that trend will continue for years to come.

Usher Teases Kai Cenat Collab

Usher has teased a collab with Kai Cenat. The hint came as Usher called the widely popular streamer to personally invite him to next month’s Super Bowl. Furthermore, Usher also invited Cenat to come to an early listening party for his new album. Cenat was overjoyed about the opportunity and seemed to reciprocate the desire to work with the iconic singer.

Cenat has been making a name for himself throughout 2023 as his star has shone brighter and brighter. This included getting a Christmas present from Ice Spice. The present in question was one of Spice’s branded chia pets. While Cenat was very excited to receive a gift from Spice, he was slightly confused by the gift. After closely inspecting the gift, Cenat declared that it didn’t look too much like Spice at all. Regardless, he was very happy to have received something from the high-profile rapper.

Usher Drops First Super Bowl Teaser

Meanwhile, Usher also dropped the first trailer for his upcoming Super Bowl Halftime Show. Titled “One performance, 30 years in the Making”, the minute-long trailer highlights Usher’s legacy, with a collection of fans and celebrities performing the singer’s 2004 classic, “Yeah”. Usher was announced as the Super Bowl headliner back in September 2023, with the NFL debuting a skit involving Kim Kardashian. This year’s Super Bowl is being held in Las Vegas, where Usher wrapped up a residency late last year.

Furthermore, he also announced that Super Bowl Sunday (February 11) will also mark the release of his new album. Coming Home will be Usher’s ninth studio and his first since Hard II Love in 2016. In the last seven years, Usher’s only extended project was 2018’s A, a collaborative album with Zaytoven. Furthermore, he will be hoping that Coming Home will be a return to form for his work. Hard II Love was his first album since his 1994 debut to neither peak at #1 nor receive an RIAA certification.

Bas Revealed The Dates For His North American Tour In Support Of ‘We Only Talk About Real Sh*t When We’re F*cked Up’

Just because Bas dropped his new album, We Only Talk About Real Sh*t When We’re F*cked Up, in December doesn’t mean you should overlook it. Backed by the singles “Diamonds,” “Passport Bros,” “Ho Chi Minh,” “Khartoum,” and “179 Deli,” Bas’ latest continued to live up to his previously set standard for consistency and quality, offering music with depth and impact in a month when there’s usually not much to listen to.

Fortunately, fans will get the opportunity to revisit the album as Bas hits the road in March. Today, he announced the dates for his North American tour, which will hit all the usual major markets before concluding in his hometown, New York, in April. How Much Are Tickets For Baja Beach Fest 2024?

Baja Beach Fest is coming back for 2024, as the festival announced that it will be returning to Mexico’s Rosarito Beach from August 9 to August 11. The official lineup is still TBA, but last year’s was filled with talented Latin performers, including Feid, Ozuna, and many more. Because of this, there’s a high chance Baja Beach will be securing some fun acts that will make interested attendees want to act fast when it comes to buying tickets.

Here’s what to know about how much you might need to save.

How Much Are Tickets For Baja Beach 2024?

Baja Beach Fest is offering four different types of tickets for 2024. All of the passes will run on a tiered system too, so the prices will increase as time goes on. The standard 3-day General Admission starts at $299 before eventually increasing to $489 by Tier 4.

The GA+ pass starts at $459. This includes access to premium bathrooms and the chance to attend Bombay’s pre-party and afterparty events.

Baja Beach’s VIP ticket starts at $679 and will increase to $959. Those who purchase this gain access to VIP areas on the festival grounds, along with access to Papas&Beer’s pre-party on Friday and afterparties each night.

The final ticket level is the La Playa pass, which starts at $1,329. This includes all-you-can-eat food and drink, deck access, prime stage viewing, and many more exclusive benefits.

Playboi Carti and Kanye West are two of the most cryptic and mysterious artists in all of popular music. Both of them can sometimes disappear for long amounts of time and make announcements that don’t go anywhere. Cardi spent the past few years nearly silent on the new music front. But across the second half of 2023, he finally began posting some new teasers about potentially releasing new music. That eventually paid off last month when he began dropping new songs on YouTube. Kanye West on the other hand reportedly does have a new album, though it’s been repeatedly delayed. The album is a collaboration with Ty Dolla $ign called Vultures which was originally announced and planned for release in December. Since then the album has been repeatedly delayed first being pushed back to New Year’s. The project has been through multiple 2024 release dates already with the most recent pushback putting its release in early February. But now Carti took to Instagram to give fans a peek of what he and West talk about behind the scenes.

“MY BIG BROTHER N*GGA CANT TELL ME SH*T ABOUT U @kanyewest” the caption of Playboi Carti’s newest Instagram post reads. It’s attached to a screenshot of some texts between the two. In the picture Carti replies to something unknown, saying it’s “hard as ever.” Kanye then fires back with a picture of his teeth, highlighted by what looks like a pair of sharpened fangs.

In the comments fans unsurprisingly crack jokes and call for new music. “bro done turned kanye to a vamp,” and “2 men who don’t wanna drop bro” two of the top comments on the post read. Ari Lennox has had an eventful past few weeks. It all started right at the end of November when she was performing as the opening act for Rod Wave on his Nostalgia Tour. The performance seems to be going well enough until one of the fans in attendance throws something, later revealed to be a bottle, at Ari on stage. She claps back hard calling out the person who threw it and even threatening to fight them. The viral moment ended when her microphone was cut off and her performance ended early.

Fans responded to the post largely in support of Ari. Across 2023 there was a strange trend of fans throwing objects on stage at artists. While it was occasionally light-hearted, like when Drake had dozens of bras thrown at him on stage during his tour. But at other points, it was much more hostile even resulting in some injuries to performers. Ari took the situation in stride, hilarious donning a helmet during her next performance in reference to the incident. When Ari opened up on her time on tour she was pretty critical. Joe Budden in particular used his podcast as a vessel to claim that she should have just been happy to be included on such a big tour.

Young Nudy Reveals Crazy Metro Boomin Track, Producer Hints At Collaboration Project In The Works

Over the years, Metro Boomin has built a strong rapport with so many rappers. His most successful ones are with Future, 21 Savage, and Travis Scott. One of his more underrated teammates is Young Nudy. The Atlanta, Georgia native had a nice 2023 with the release of his solo studio album Gumbo. That featured the viral hit song “Peaches & Eggplants.” It got so big in fact, that he decided to bring the hype up even higher with a remix. Nudy did this by bringing on two of the hottest female MCs in the game, Latto and Sexyy Red.

For 2024, he is looking to build on that success with some music with Metro. Their most recent effort landed on the wildly popular HEROES & VILLAINS tape from the end of 2022. “Umbrella” with 21 Savage was one of the darkest tracks on the record. It featured killer piano keys and relentless flows from the related rappers. With that feather in the cap of both Metro and Nudy, a new one might need to be added.

Nudy Is Helping Metro Gear Up For A Bigger 2024

The “EA” rapper hopped on Instagram Live to share a preview of an upcoming single. From what we can hear it sounds sinister. There are sharp string sections and a soulful sample that kick the track off. Then, the new “Metro!” tag comes in and the beat drops abruptly but beautifully and hits hard. Metro reposted the clip to his IG story and captioned it saying, “Too early in the year to start talking bout the Nudy tape yet [zipped shut mouth emoji fire emoji].” This a loose announcement, but on top of the the Future and JID tapes, Nudy is getting one too at some point.
