Diddy Smokes Cigar In Miami After Apologizing For Cassie Assault

On Friday, CNN exclusively obtained disturbing security footage of Diddy seemingly assaulting his ex-girlfriend Cassie in a hotel hallway. The footage has since been circulating on social media, with countless viewers weighing in. It appears to corroborate some of the allegations Cassie made against Diddy in her now-settled lawsuit. The LA D.A.’s Office claims the incident took place “beyond the timeline where a crime of assault can be prosecuted.”

Regardless, the Bad Boy Records founder has a lot of eyes on him right now and has stayed silent on the matter until today. In a video shared on Instagram, he issued an apology for his behavior, though most commenters refuse to accept it. Moreover, he didn’t mention Cassie at all, which many took issue with.

Diddy Spotted For The First Time Since Assault Footage Went Public

He’s since been spotted going for a relaxing stroll through his neighborhood in Miami, smoking a cigar. He looked pretty solemn, though he didn’t say much, simply giving photographers a thumbs-up when asked how he was doing. Diddy later made an “L” with his hand and said “Love.” This is the first time he’s been seen out and about since the footage went public. We’re not permitted to post the images/video directly on HotNewHipHop, but if you’d like to see them, you can do so by clicking the Via link below.

Diddy hasn’t said anything else since releasing his apology, but Cassie’s lawyer Meredith Firetog has. “Combs’ most recent statement is more about himself than the many people he has hurt,” she wrote. “When Cassie and multiple other women came forward, he denied everything and suggested that his victims were looking for a payday. That he was only compelled to ‘apologize’ once his repeated denials were proven false shows his pathetic desperation, and no one will be swayed by his disingenuous words.” What do you think of Diddy looking solemn on a stroll through his Miami neighborhood as the footage of him allegedly assaulting Cassie continues to circulate? Cassie’s Lawyer Calls Out Diddy For “Pathetic” Apology Video

Cassie’s lawyer, Meredith Firetog, reacted to Diddy’s apology in a statement provided to Deadline on Sunday. In doing so, she remarked that the video he shared reeks of “pathetic desperation” and his comments are “disingenuous.” The drama began when CNN published footage of Diddy appearing to assault Cassie at a hotel in 2016. He dropped the apology video two days later on Sunday.

“Combs’ most recent statement is more about himself than the many people he has hurt,” Firetog wrote. “When Cassie and multiple other women came forward, he denied everything and suggested that his victims were looking for a payday. That he was only compelled to ‘apologize’ once his repeated denials were proven false shows his pathetic desperation, and no one will be swayed by his disingenuous words.”

As for the apology, Diddy claims he was at “rock bottom” during the incident and has since sought out professional help in the way of therapy and rehab. “It’s so difficult to reflect on the darkest times in your life, but sometimes you got to do that,” he says. “I was f*cked up — I hit rock bottom — but I make no excuses. My behavior on that video is inexcusable. I take full responsibility for my actions in that video. I was disgusted then when I did it. I’m disgusted now. I went and I sought out professional help, I got into going to therapy, going to rehab. I had to ask God for his mercy and grace. I’m so sorry. But I’m committed to be a better man each and every day. I’m not asking for forgiveness. I’m truly sorry.”

Sexyy Red’s Wild High School Fight Video Resurfaces, She Reacts

Sexyy Red is certainly no stranger to making headlines for her wild antics. It looks like the femcee was behaving in shocking ways long before she got famous, however. Recently, an old video of her throwing hands with a fellow student back in high school resurfaced online, proving that she’s not one to mess with. Things got pretty ugly, to say the least, as a staff member desperately attempted to break the fight up.

The clip captures the chaos of thrown stools, shouting, and more. While it remains unclear exactly what prompted the altercation, Sexyy Red and the student can be heard arguing about a phone. Regardless, it’s safe to say that nobody was stopping the “SkeeYee” performer, including the horrified teacher.

Sexyy Red Says She’s “Been On Det”

Earlier today, Sexyy Red caught wind of the video making its rounds on social media and reacted with a simple Tweet. “Been on Det!!!!,” she wrote, indicating that she has no regrets about the brawl. Obviously, violence is never the right solution, but fans are praising her for her skills either way. Fortunately, it doesn’t appear as though she’s much of a fighter these days, as she has a lot on the line.

In September of last year, for example, the “Shake Yo Dreads” rapper was performing one of her hits onstage when a brawl broke out in the crowd. Instead of joining in or even acknowledging the fight, however, she just proceeded with the show. She even busted out a few dance moves after noticing the altercation unfolding in front of her, looking unbothered as can be. What do you think of a video of Sexyy Red getting into a fight back in high school resurfacing? Are you surprised or not? What about her reaction to it? Diddy Apology Gets Two Thumbs Down From 50 Cent: “Who Is Advising Him Right Now?”

Several hours ago, rapper and music mogul Diddy issued a formal apology to Cassie for his irreversible actions. The latter was an alleged brutal assault with the 2016 footage being obtained by CNN on Friday, May 17. It quickly went viral, as it displayed some truly disturbing imagery. Her and Diddy were staying at hotel and when the singer tried to leave, he eventually caught up to her. He kicked Cassie, struck her in the head, snatched her possessions, and even threw an item while she was still down. Fans have shown obvious support for Diddy’s ex and disgust toward him. Of course, one of those people to comment was 50 Cent.

The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office responded to the video moments later with some bad news. Because of the time of the assault and the new statute of limitations being passed, they cannot do anything about it. This prompted 50 to throw a theory out there. “This is why they put that tape out, they know they can’t charge him with what we saw, but they know we can’t unsee what we saw.” 50 follows Diddy’s every move and when he watched the apology, he was quick to respond again.

Essentially, he does not understand why Diddy is trying to speak out at all. DJ Akademiks reshared Fif’s IG commentary: “This is not going to work, who is advising him right now? SMH bad move @bransoncognac @lecheminduroi.” Even though Diddy is “truly sorry,” there is nothing that will change anyone’s mind, especially 50’s.

“No Diddy” Trends As Social Media Users Don’t Accept Mogul’s Apology

Late last week, CNN released exclusive footage of Diddy and Cassie at a hotel in 2016, which has since gone viral. The disturbing video has been making its rounds online, with many calling it the smoking gun fans needed to convince them of his guilt. In the footage, the Bad Boy Records founder is seen pulling the singer to the ground, kicking her, and trying to drag her back to his room. He also throws what appears to be a glass vase at her.

For those who don’t recall, Cassie sued Diddy in November of last year, accusing him of sexual assault, physical abuse, and more in her now-settled lawsuit. The footage certainly appears to corroborate some of her allegations, though the Los Angeles D.A.’s Office says the incident occurred “beyond the timeline where a crime of assault can be prosecuted.”

Diddy Apologizes For Assaulting Cassie In Viral 2016 Footage

Today, Diddy broke his silence for the first time since the graphic footage surfaced online, issuing an apology for his actions. “It’s so difficult to reflect on the darkest times in your life, but sometimes you got to do that,” he said. “I was f*cked up — I hit rock bottom — but I make no excuses. Now, social media users are reacting to the mogul’s apology, with most agreeing that they don’t accept it. Metro Boomin Coincidentally Posts Lil Wayne Track On IG After Clip From Weezy Concert Reveals “Not Like Us” Was Played At It

Metro Boomin has continuously been on the front lines of the Kendrick Lamar and Drake beef. The decorated producer essentially rekindled the flame when he put out “Like That” a couple of months ago now. The record went onto spawn one of the most entertaining rap feuds in the genre’s history. At times, multiple diss records dropping on the same day. It seems that the dust is settling a bit, with fans pretty much declaring K-Dot as the winner. But Metro is seemingly still piling on Drake after “Not Like Us” was spun at a recent Lil Wayne concert.

A fan pulled up to a recent Weezy show, as evidenced by the clip from X below. In the 30-second video, it was revealed that the “Drake killshot” was being played before the Louisiana legend hit the stage. Of course, most people are aware that Wayne and Drizzy are extremely close. For that reason, it is quite shocking to see this. However, it seems that a DJ was just trying to get the crowd ready for the main event.

Metro Boomin Appears To Show Love To Lil Wayne

What is not surprising is that Metro Boomin was happy to see the Drake hate continue. It appears that the “BBL DRIZZY” producer saw the video because he coincidentally posted a Wayne track on his Instagram story. He reshared “Crazy,” off Da Drought 3 one his classic mixtapes. Who knows what Metro was actually up to, but we can only assume that it was to applaud Wayne.

What are your thoughts on Metro Boomin sharing a Lil Wayne song on his IG story after “Not Like Us” was played at a Weezy concert? What kind of message do you think Metro is sending here? How about Lil Wayne? Is “Not Like Us” the best diss track from the Drake beef, why or why not? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. Michael Che And Kendrick Lamar Might’ve Been Pushed Into A Beef Following The ‘SNL’ Weekend Update’s ‘Joke Swap’

Kendrick Lamar is the self-proclaimed Boogeyman of rap, but does that extend to the comedian space. While the “Not Like Us” rapper’s feud with Drake is officially over, yesterday (May 17) his next foe might have stepped up to the plate during Saturday Night Live‘s season finale.

To go out with a bang, Colin Jost used the beloved ‘Weekend Update’ segment’s joke swap to rile things up for his co-anchor, Michael Che. As the duo traded off-kilter and at times outright insensitive lines, Che unknowingly walked directly into a potential feud with Kendrick while discussing the rapper’s recent war of words.

“And speaking of b*tches, I wanna call out the biggest b*tches of them all, Kendrick Lamar,” he joked. “Or should I say littlest? Your war with Drake may be over. But your war with Michael Che is just beginning. So, to quote ‘Hamilton,’ shoot your shot player.”

Based on Che’s hesitation to read the script, it is clear Che has kept up with Kendrick’s lethal lines. Although he didn’t want to poke the bear, seemingly out of fear of Kendrick’s reaction, Che was a good sport and powered through the hilarious callout. He then took a moment to praise Jost for the clever setup. “That was pretty well done,” he laughed.

Juvenile Announces New Hot Boys Album With Lil Wayne, B.G. & Turk

Fans have long been requesting a Hot Boys reunion, and it looks like their prayers have finally been answered. During a recent chat with fans on Instagram Live, founding member Juvenile announced that their first album in over two decades is currently in the works. Their last effort, Let ‘Em Burn, was released in March of 2003.

He shared the news in response to fans’ reunion demands, as seen in a clip from the Live. “The Hot Boys Is back together, man,” he said, explaining that he’ll be working alongside his fellow members in the coming weeks. “Any other f*cking questions?” He’s yet to confirm an official release date, but for obvious reasons, fans can’t wait.

First Hot Boys Album In Over 20 Years Is On The Way

The exciting announcement follows B.G.’s release from prison after a 12-year stay, as well as a bit of tension between him and another Hot Boys member. The rapper teamed up with Finesse2tymes for their track “Gangstafied” in January, taking shots at none other than Lil Wayne. “My n***a Weezy steady tourin’, but he’s a b*tch and it’s showin’,” he rhymed, prompting big reactions from fans. He later clarified that he didn’t mean any harm. “I tell a n***a I love him and call him a b***h all in the same sentence, man,” he told fans on Live.

Nonetheless, they’ve been teasing the idea of a reunion for some time. In February, only a few weeks after being dissed, Lil Wayne told YG on the 4HUNNID podcast that the only thing holding them back was B.G.’s travel restrictions. “Juvie ready and Turk ready, but really we gotta see if Geezy can move around,” he said. What do you think of Juvenile announcing that the first Hot Boys album is over 20 years in on the way? Are you looking forward to hearing it? Apple Music’s Ranking Of Nas’ “Illmatic” On Their Top 100 Albums List Has Fans Outraged

Without a shadow of a doubt, Nas created one of hip-hop’s greatest bodies of work, Illmatic. The status of this album is elevated by the fact that it was his debut offering. It spawned some of the best writing and performances the genre has ever seen. Prime examples include “N.Y. State of Mind,” “The World Is Yours,” and “It Ain’t Hard To Tell.” Illmatic is so amazing that it is now in the Library of Congress. With the widespread recognition of how important this project is to music at large, the placement in the Apple Music Best 100 Albums list has fans expectedly up in arms.

The streaming giant announced about a week ago that over the next 10 days, they would be ranking what they feel are the greatest LPs ever. On May 22, the full list will be available. According to Apple Newsroom, their experts, along with artists, producers, industry pros, and more all collaborated on this already hotly debated list. In fact, SZA voiced her confusion about her most recent album, SOS, receiving the 72nd spot. A fair number of rap/R&B sets have cracked the ranking such as ASTROWORLD (98), Flower Boy (92), Doggystyle (84), and more. The next 10 (40-31) were released today and Illmatic slotted in at number 39.

Kim Porter’s Alleged Friend Kola Boof Threatens To “Obliterate” Cassie & Diddy If They Sue

After the disturbing footage of Diddy assaulting Cassie in 2016 surfaced online last week, Kim Porter’s alleged friend Kola Boof took to Twitter/X to weigh in. Boof is a Sudanese author, poet, and activist, and accuses Diddy of abusing Porter throughout their relationship. She went viral for her shocking claims and has since fiercely defended her right to speak her alleged truth.

In a Tweet shared earlier today, Boof explained that she’s on Cassie’s side amid fallout from the footage. She’s received some backlash from social media users following her accusation that the singer was complicit in Porter’s alleged abuse. According to her, she hopes that Cassie gets the justice she deserves, and in no way doubts that she’s a victim.

Kola Boof Says She’s “Here For Kim”

Boof also went on to note, however, that nobody will stop her from sharing Porter’s story. “My heart goes out to CASSIE. The abuse she’s endured is horrible. I hope she gets more victories against Diddy,” she wrote. “But if she tries to sue me for speaking up for KIM PORTER–I will obliterate her. Point blank. And that goes for DIDDY too. I’m here for Kim.” Clearly, Boof’s not looking to be silenced, and she’ll stop at nothing to expose the abuse Porter allegedly faced at the hands of Diddy.

One of Boof’s more unsettling insinuations, made last week on Twitter/X, was that Diddy allegedly had something to do with the model’s unexpected 2018 death. According to her, “Pneumonia can be faked so easily by a Doctor or by The Morgue.” What do you think of Kim Porter’s alleged friend Kola Boof threatening to “obliterate” Diddy and Cassie if either of them tries to take legal action against her? What about all of the shocking allegations she’s made about Diddy over the past few days? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below, and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.
