Over the weekend, it was revealed that beloved Dungeon Family member Rico Wade passed away at the age of 52. Since the announcement, countless social media users have shared their condolences with the Organized Noize producer’s family members and friends. A cause of death has not yet been revealed.

One of Wade’s latest peers to chime in was Big Boi, who was friends with Wade for roughly 30 years ahead of his passing. He shared a heartfelt Instagram post about the late artist’s legacy on Monday (April 15). “This is a different type of hurt …. Slick Ricky Wade .. I know you’re with us STILL … in a bigger role now… Big Angel Energy… the Highest of Vibrations … Praise Yah,” he wrote.

Big Boi also shared a clip of himself discussing Wade in a 2019 interview. In the clip, he reveals that he played a major role in the success of his duo, Outkast. He also recalled Organized Noize connecting him and Andre 3000 to the producers who worked on their debut studio album, Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik. “Rico Wade is one third of Organized Noize and he’s like the mouthpiece for that collective of producers. He was connected to LaFace Records through Pebbles ’cause he went to school with Tionne ‘T-Boz’ Watkins from TLC. She connected him with Pebbles and through them, Pebbles introduced Rico to LA Reid,” he says in the clip.

“He was like the gateway to get to LA, as well as the producers who produced Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik,” he also added. “They signed OutKast. Organized Noize were responsible for us signing to LaFace Records. Earlier today, it was revealed that beloved Atlanta hip-hop pioneer Rico Wade has passed away at the age of 52. Countless social media users and peers have been sharing their condolences for the artist’s family online since, and celebrating the remarkable impact he had on hip-hop culture. Questlove, 2 Chainz, Big Gipp, and more have posted tributes. Future, a cousin of the late Dungeon Family co-founder, also shared some heartfelt words following news of his passing. Rico Wade’s cause of death has not yet been revealed.

As the community continues to mourn the loss of Wade, the Dungeon Family has issued a statement about his passing on the official Organized Noize Instagram account. “We are devastated by the news of the passing of our dear brother Rico Wade,” the collective’s statement begins. “The world has lost one of the most innovative architects in music, and we have lost an invaluable friend.”

Christian Combs’ Lawyer Releases Statement On Sexual Assault Allegations

Earlier this week, Diddy’s son Christian “King” Combs was hit with a new lawsuit from a woman named Grace O’Marcaigh. She accuses him of sexually assaulting her in 2022 when she worked on a yacht leased by Combs’ family. O’Marcaigh believes she could have been drugged by the 26-year-old, according to her lawsuit. She claims to have audio recordings of the incident, captured by Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones, a producer who’s currently suing Diddy for sexual misconduct and more. Diddy is also named as a defendant in her suit, as she accuses him of aiding and abetting his son. She’s seeking unspecified damages.

The Combs’ lawyer, Aaron Dyer, has now released a statement in response to the allegations. He denies O’Marcaigh’s claims, also going after her lawyer, Tyrone Blackburn. Blackburn is also representing Lil Rod amid his legal battle with the Bad Boy Records founder.

This is exactly why the federal judge in New York slapped him two days ago for a ‘pattern of behavior’ in ‘improperly [filing] cases in federal court to garner media attention, embarrass defendants with salacious allegations, and pressure defendants to settle quickly,’ and why he was referred to the disciplinary committee in the Southern District of New York. We will be filing a motion to dismiss this outrageous claim.”

T.D. Jakes Diddy Rumours Are “Unequivocally False And Baseless,” Bishop’s Team Says

Since Cassie ripped off the band-aid on Sean Combs’ troubling past with her sexual assault and human trafficking lawsuit in the fall, things for the New Yorker have grown increasingly messy. He quickly settled the case with his ex, but any legal action taken since then is being written off by Diddy and his legal team. Try as he might to protect his name, 50 Cent continues to troll the “I’ll Be Missing You Artist,” and is even promising to donate proceeds from his R. Kelly-inspired documentary about Diddy to survivors of assault.

As the year comes to a close, Bishop T.D. Jakes‘ name is surprisingly being linked to the former Revolt board member. A viral TikTok video describes the 66-year-old as a “power bottom” who attended Diddy sex parties with other men. Ahead of the weekend, Lil Duval jumped on Twitter to express doubt in the gossip, and according to The Jasmine Brand, the preacher’s team is also issuing a statement on his behalf to clear up any confusion and hate. “Recent claims circulating on pockets of social media about Bishop T.D. Jakes are unequivocally false and baseless,” it begins.

Tory Lanez Motions To Dismiss His Sentence Due To New Testimony & “Childhood Trauma”

Tory Lanez is seeking to vacate his ten-year sentence for shooting Megan Thee Stallion, according to new reports from Meghann Cuniff. The reasoning behind this legal filing stems from a new testimony on behalf of his driver and bodyguard Jauquan Smith, who did not testify during his initial trial. While he didn’t see who shot the gun, he claimed to have seen the rapper and singer try to take the weapon away from Kelsey Harris before the shooting. “[Lanez] and Ms. Harris began struggling as Mr. Peterson tried to unarm Ms. Harris,” his statement, filed this week, reads. “I was still pulling [Megan] and did not see who shot the weapon.”

Not only that, but the Canadian artist’s habeas petition for re-sentencing also brings up other factors. For one, he wants the appellate to take into account his “childhood trauma” in their assessment of his case, as he also did with the sentencing judge. In addition, Tory Lanez expressed that deportation should not have become part of this decision due to its discriminatory nature. The specifics of these arguments remain unclear, but these summaries offer some necessary context for what aspects he is dissatisfied with.

Furthermore, Cuniff indicated on her social media platforms and articles that authorities will consider Tory Lanez’s petition along with his appellate brief. However, no one expects them to come to a conclusive decision on the matter for a couple of months given some logistic work-arounds. For example, the three-judge panel in this appeal stated that they will consider the petition once they have the entire appellate, which they haven’t filed yet. As of writing this article, it’s due December 26, so the defense still has time to prep it accordingly. Still, we’re sure that the 31-year-old would rather move things along as fast as possible so he can get an answer.

Given how this whole case has progressed since the jury decided on a verdict, we’re sure that it won’t fully be over for years to come. Diddy’s Not Being Investigated By The NYPD, Despite Previous Reports

Cassie’s new lawsuit against Diddy includes countless damning allegations against the Bad Boy Records founder. Amid chatter, reports that he was being investigated by the NYPD surfaced. Yesterday, sources told TMZ that he was currently at the center of a “locked “criminal investigation involving sexual assault allegations. Now, however, the NYPD has circled back to claim that there is no active criminal investigation of Diddy. Moreover, they say that sharing such information isn’t consistent with their policies.

“Yesterday, a member of the NYPD’s public information office erroneously told a reporter about the apparent existence of an active case file containing the name ‘Sean Combs,’” their statement reads. “There is no such investigation, at present. Further, the release of such information is not consistent with the internal policies of the office of the Deputy Commissioner, Public Information. The NYPD always treats allegations of sexual assault and rape extremely seriously, and urges anyone who has been a victim to file a police report so that support and services can be offered to survivors and a comprehensive investigation can be conducted.”

In her suit, Cassie accuses Diddy of rape, physical abuse, and more. After the news initially broke, Diddy’s lawyer denied the allegations on his behalf. “Mr. Combs vehemently denies these offensive and outrageous allegations,” Ben Brafman stated. “For the past six months, Mr. Combs has been subjected to Ms. Ventura’s persistent demand of $30 million, under the threat of writing a damaging book about their relationship, which was unequivocally rejected as blatant blackmail. Despite withdrawing her initial threat, Ms. Ventura has now resorted to filing a lawsuit riddled with baseless and outrageous lies, aiming to tarnish Mr. Combs’s reputation and seeking a payday.”

Brafman also added that most of Cassie’s claims would be barred from criminal prosecution due to the statute of limitations. Dwight Howard Shares Statement On Sexual Assault Allegations

Over the summer, Dwight Howard was sued for alleged battery and sexual assault of a male model named Stephen Harper. Harper claims that he traveled to Howard’s house to participate in a threesome. According to him, there was a man dressed like a woman named Kitty there when he arrived, who he didn’t know would be involved. He also alleges that upon deciding that he no longer wanted to participate, Howard performed oral sex on him without consent, and forced him to reciprocate.

Howard confirmed that he and Kitty did meet with Harper to have sex, however, he insists everything that happened was consensual. Another one of Howard’s alleged former sexual partners has come forward since, corroborating Harper’s claims. According to influencer and author Masin Elije, Howard has a history of sexual misconduct. “He goes to sex parties and preys on younger men, which is why he originally why he threatened, forced, and tried to intimidate me into signing a NDA,” Elije alleged. Elije also claims that Kitty harassed them in 2018.

Now, Howard’s legal team has shared a statement about the lawsuit, denying the allegations. They claim that the suit was only filed in attempts to receive a payout. “This is a civil case that was made public for profit,” the statement begins in part. “In this case, the accuser is solely suing Dwight Howard and has refrained from suing the other party in which he claims to be involved. It is important to know that these matters were NEVER about sexual assault. This was merely about money and greed.”
