4batz Shares Surprising Response To Industry Plant Allegations

Texas singer 4batz has experienced a meteoric rise to fame in 2024. He began the year as a relative unknown. But shortly after he began to rapidly rise in profile. That came when his song “date @ 8” began to take off on TikTok. That eventually translated into radio success as well and the song made its debut on the Hot 100 shortly after. The track didn’t hit its peak on the chart until Drake teamed up with the breakthrough singer for a remix of the track. It peaked at number 7 the next week and has stuck around on the charts landing at number 63 this week.

Like almost any artist who experiences such a substantial rise to fame, 4batz has faced allegations of being an industry plant. During a recent interview with GQ he was asked about the allegations and gave a pretty surprising answer. “I think it’s kind of cool, It’s like I’m the boogeyman. People are going to meet me and be like, Oh, this is a regular hood n*gga,” he replied. It came during an interview where he got candid about the experiences in his life that led him to depression and homelessness before catching his big break. Following his successful collaboration with Drake he signed a contract with OVO. Check out the full interview he gave below.

4batz Doesn’t Mind Being The “Boogeyman”

The industry plant allegations aren’t being levelled at 4batz just because of his association with Drake and his new deal with OVO. He’s also been working with Kanye West recently. Video of the pair in the studio together made the rounds earlier this month. It led to fans suspecting that he could make an appearance on VULTURES 2.

The unique singer’s debut EP for OVO is expected to drop soon. What do you think of 4batz leaning into the reputation that comes with facing industry plant allegations? Do you think he has more hits in him beyond just “date @ 8?” Let us know in the comment section below.

Kendrick Lamar “Euphoria”: 6 Bars Drake Needs To Respond To

Folks, welcome to Round Two of hip-hop’s coup d’état against Drake… or was it the true king asserting his dominance all along against the Toronto challenger? In this corner, we have Drizzy, who launched two diss tracks, took down one of them, is still on top of the game commercially, and has been eagerly waiting for Kendrick Lamar to clap back with a “quintuple entendre or something.” And in this corner, we have K. Dot, who kicked this current fight off in the first place and reaped what he sowed today with his “Euphoria” response.

As expected, Kendrick Lamar’s song was explosive on impact, leading to many wild reactions, interpretations, theories, and predictions. Not everyone’s a fan, of course, but one thing is definitely clear: Drake got the smoke he wanted, and the ball is back in his court. Across this new diss track’s six-and-a-half-minute runtime, we believe there are six specific sets of bars that the 6ix God must address.

I Pray They My Real Friends, If Not, I’m YNW Melly

First, let’s start off with Kendrick Lamar addressing “First Person Shooter,” the Drake and J. Cole collab that seems to have provoked the “Like That” diss. There’s a “feature request” line that suggests that K.Dot actually turned down a guest spot with Drake. Kendrick then insinuates that Drizzy didn’t want to work with him after his “Control” verse because his feelings were hurt, and he clarifies that he doesn’t have a problem with Drake and Cole working together… in theory. While he “loves them to death,” the former TDE lyricist suggests that if Aubrey, Cole, or both aimed to belittle Kendrick or take him down with their collab, this changes the dynamic.

This culminates with the line: “There’s no accent you can sell me / Yeah, Cole and Aubrey know I’m a selfish n***a / The crown is heavy, huh / I pray they my real friends, if not, I’m YNW Melly.” Not only does he question Drake trying to make music representing a lot of different cultures and communities, which many have called appropriation, but Kendrick Lamar also compares himself to Melly, who will eventually face a retrial for accusations of murdering his two friends. So “First Person Shooter” requires an explanation, because even though J. Cole’s made his stance clear, it’s still up in the air whether The Boy intended to legitimately pay tribute or disrespect him instead.

Let Your Core Audience Stomach That / Then Tell Them Where You Get Your Abs From

A post shared by HotNewHipHop® (@hotnewhiphop)

Another set of bars goes over a few different topics, starting with a reference to the alleged 2014 incident at DJ Khaled’s birthday party at the LIV Miami club in which Diddy reportedly struck Drake in the face. This line also ropes in the “Evil Ways” rapper’s longtime personal bodyguard Chubbs: “You gon’ make a n***a bring back Puff, let me see if Chubbs really crash something.” This continues Kendrick Lamar and Drizzy’s references to security guards and physical confrontation, such as Kendrick’s security guard 2TEEZ and Drake making fun of Kendrick trying to get physical “with a size 7 men’s on.”

However, right after this bar, we get another instance of Kendrick Lamar questioning whether the rap game at large really accepts Drake, as well as a few jabs at his alleged liposuction. “Yeah, my first one like my last one, it’s a classic, you don’t have one / Let your core audience stomach that, then tell them where you get your abs from.” J. Cole’s “7 Minute Drill” diss proved that going at Mr. Morale’s catalog is a huge risk, so maybe Drake will instead offer up his acclaimed projects like Nothing Was The Same, Take Care, or If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late. But the picture painted here presents the former Degrassi star as someone who, at many turns and via some non-commercial metrics, has found it difficult to find acceptance or respect, for right or wrong reasons.

When I See You Stand Next To Sexyy Red, I Believe You See Two Bad B*tches

Drake definitely found his due flowers from the new generation, something that Kendrick Lamar also questioned in “Euphoria.” There’s a Lil Yachty mention here, but the bombshell relating to this is a commentary on his artistic friendship with Sexyy Red, and how K.Dot seemingly accuses Drizzy of faking this support while putting other women down because he sees them as competition. “When I see you stand by Sexyy Red, I believe you see two bad b***hes / I believe you don’t like women, that’s real competition, you might pop a** with them.” Not only does this continue the lipo allegations and poke at Drake’s femininity and strength (another controversial and frankly, tired move), but it insinuates that he needs the St. Louis MC more than she needs Drake.

Also, the specific line about not liking women is very relevant given Drake’s complicated relationship with women in his personal life, as explored through topics in his music, and with industry peers. On Her Loss‘ “Circo Loco” (2022), he seemed to take shots at Megan Thee Stallion, and on For All The Dogs‘ “Away From Home” (2023), he disses jazz musician Esperanza Spalding. Kendrick Lamar even shouted Megan out on “family ties” in 2021. With all this in mind, Drake will have to respond to folks questioning his authenticity, his ego, and his true intentions when it comes to his relationships with women… and the pgLang creative didn’t even have to “talk about [Drake] liking young girls” as Drizzy predicted on his “Taylor Made Freestyle” A.I. diss from Tupac Shakur’s “perspective” to do that. Yikes.

I Got A Son To Raise But I Can See You Know Nothing ‘Bout That

One of the most incendiary moments on “Euphoria” relates to another scathing Drake diss: Pusha T’s “The Story Of Adidon.” Earlier in Kendrick Lamar’s three-part diss, he calls his rival out for never responding to Pusha T’s cut and for going at Pharrell, but the real call-back appears later on. First, K. Dot accuses the Canadian superstar of trying to look for dirt on him. Interestingly enough, Pusha made similar claims in 2018 when they were at the height of their beef. “Why would I call around tryna get dirt on n***as, y’all think all of my life is rap?” Kendrick raps, which also responds to people pressuring him to respond to Drake quickly, as this track took over two weeks to arrive.

But the plot thickens on the very next bar, which continues to call out Drake for being a troll, constantly goading Kendrick Lamar to respond, and posting and talking about this constantly on social media. “That’s h*e s**t, I got a son to raise, but I can see you know nothing about that.” Kendrick calls back to “The Story Of Adidon” by mentioning that Drake never announced his son to the public until Pusha T exposed that he was a father.

Pusha T’s diss was eventually mulled over, and the Scorpion artist now has a public and very wholesome bond with his son. But the “Silent Hill” spitter flips this once more by making fun of Aubrey Graham’s social media obsession and concerning himself with pettiness rather than family. Once more, Drake will have to back up his online persona through bars, not just more IG stories, likes, comments, or DMs.

Ain’t 20v1, It’s 1v20 If I Gotta Smack N***as That Write With You

One of the simplest but sharpest lines on “Euphoria” directly responds to this “Push Ups” line: “What the f**k is this, a 20v1?” On that line, Drake calls out many rap industry players (Future, Metro Boomin, Rick Ross, etc.) for teaming up on him at the same time, something that Kendrick Lamar turns right back against him. “Ain’t 20v1, it’s 1v20 if I gotta smack n***as that write with you,” he spits, once again bringing up ghostwriting claims that Drizzy has been dogged by ever since 2015.

While Drake’s said a lot about it since his Meek Mill beef, it does carry a different context now. Alleged reference tracks recently leaked, in which he supposedly took them one-for-one from his peers. While these are just rumors (particularly Cash Cobain’s track), it truly questions whether Drake could confidently place himself as the GOAT. The 6ix God might have to respond to Kendrick Lamar’s accusations by claiming more artistic responsibility for his own work than what the credits (or a lack of credits, rather) would have you believe. More importantly, he needs to explain why he can still be the GOAT in hip-hop today, which isn’t an impossible task: just a difficult one.

Toronto’s “Crodies” Can’t Touch K.Dot

Finally, Kendrick Lamar pettily and mercilessly clowns the 6ix’s accent, slang, and street ties. While closing “Euphoria,” he insinuates that Drake can’t fake the street funk, even if he found success in the U.S. rap scene. Kendrick uses the term “crodie” to taunt him, a Crip flip of “brodie” popularized by Toronto rapper Pressa. He’s allegedly affiliated with the Wass Gang, a Crip set in the city that Drake has rapped about often through direct reference and through using “crodie.” After this mocking use of the Toronto accent to warn Drake to refrain from mentioning family business, Kendrick Lamar says he’s never in trouble in Toronto when he goes, contrary to what his nemesis would have you believe.

I be at New Ho King eating fried rice with a dip sauce and blamy, crodie / Tell me you’re cheesing, fam/ We can do this right now on the camera, crodie.” New Ho King is a popular late-night Chinese food spot in Toronto, and “cheesing” is Toronto and Jamaican patois slang for being angry. The last line proposes that these two hip-hop titans duke it out for real in the public eye, which was the challenge K.Dot offered on “Like That.”

Kendrick Lamar’s “Euphoria”: Rick Ross Advises Drake Against Responding

Rick Ross shared some advice for Drake on social media, on Tuesday, telling the Toronto rapper that he shouldn’t bother responding to Kendrick Lamar. The Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers rapper dissed Drake on his new song, “Euphoria,” accusing him of being a bad father, using ghostwriters, and much more. Ross previously dissed Drake in his own track, “Champagne Moments,” earlier this month.

Ross began the clip by referring to Drake as a “white boy.” From there, he asked: “Do they even have WiFi on that cargo plane?” and added, “He may not have heard this yet but look white boy, I know we not friends but lemme give you this advice because you ain’t got nobody around you– you ain’t got no real n****s around you. Let me put it like that.” As for the advice, Ross remarked: “Don’t respond. You ain’t even peep when the intro came on with that Teddy Pendergrass. That was that Black vibe. Don’t do it. Don’t go write an 8 minute verse.” Ross also forgave Yachty for associating with Drake. “I know you wanna get that money. You ain’t wrong. Keep buying them big houses.”

On “Euphoria,” Lamar echoed similar accusations Ross made on “Champagne Moments,” such as accusing Drake of getting plastic surgery and bringing up his race. “How many more fairytale stories about your life ’til we’ve had enough?” Lamar raps. “How many more Black features ’til you finally feel that you’re Black enough?” He also accuses him of being a bad father.

Blue Ivy To Make Acting Debut Alongside Beyonce In “Mufasa: The Lion King”: What We Know So Far

Fans just got their first glimpse at the upcoming Mufasa: The Lion King prequel trailer over the weekend, subsequently revealing a few big surprises along the way. The movie musical, set to premiere in theaters in December 2024, will star Beyoncé alongside her daughter, Blue Ivy Carter. The film will be Blue Ivy’s feature film debut, at only 12 years old. Although details about the upcoming Lion King prequel remain scarce, the initial trailer reveals several exciting developments, allowing us to focus on a few key details. Let’s take a look at the trailer and behind-the-scenes info at our disposal, and examine what we can expect from the Mufasa: The Lion King prequel film.

The Film Will Include All-New Original Songs

Mufasa: The Lion King is a prequel to 2019’s The Lion King, starring Beyoncé and Donald Glover. The 2019 film is itself a remake of the 1994 animated classic of the same name. While 2019’s The Lion King had a few original songs in it, the film mostly relied on updated renditions of the original music from the cartoon. They released an album on streaming platforms to accompany the film, featuring both original material and existing Lion King music. The project was titled The Lion King: The Gift with performances from Beyoncé, Kendrick Lamar, Jay-Z, Pharrell Williams, and others.

Now, Mufasa: The Lion King will consist of wholly original music, as the prequel serves as a brand new outing for the franchise. Moreover, Hamilton‘s Lin-Manuel Miranda will be composing and writing the original songs, as part of an ongoing deal with Disney. For now, we’re not sure if Blue Ivy will be singing any songs herself for the film, or if she’ll just be voice acting and leaving the songs to another performer. Of course, it seems likely based on her front-and-center inclusion in the cast, and her superstar musician parents, that Blue Ivy will be displaying her singing voice in the film for the world to hear.

Beyoncé And Blue Ivy Will Play A Mother & Daughter

ATLANTA, GEORGIA – AUGUST 11: (L-R) Blue Ive Carter and Beyoncé perform onstage during the “RENAISSANCE WORLD TOUR” at Mercedes-Benz Stadium on August 11, 2023 in Atlanta, Georgia. (Photo by Kevin Mazur/WireImage for Parkwood)

It should come as no surprise that Blue Ivy will be playing the daughter of Beyoncé’s character in the Mufasa: The Lion King prequel. In the film, Beyoncé is slated to reprise her role as Nala from 2019’s The Lion King, alongside Donald Glover’s King Simba. According to a report in People, Blue Ivy will be playing the couple’s young daughter, Kiara. Kiara first appeared in the 1998 animated Lion King Sequel The Lion King 2: Simba’s Pride. Despite being a sequel to one of the most revered and well-known Disney films of the last several decades, Simba’s Pride has remained relatively unnoticed since it debuted direct to video in the 90s. This means that, for most fans, Blue Ivy’s rendition of Kiara will be their first exposure to the character.

Several other performers are on pace to reprise their roles from the 2019 film as well, including Seth Rogen, Billy Eichner, and John Kani. Other newcomers to the cast include Mads Mikkelsen, Keith David, and The Walking Dead‘s Lennie James. Aaron Pierre and Kelvin Harrison Jr. will lead the cast, as young Mufasa and young Scar respectively. Pierre and Harrison previously worked together on the National Geographic limited series Genius, with Pierre portraying Malcolm X against Harrison’s Martin Luther King Jr.

The Film Premieres On December 20, 2024

Oscar Award-winning director Barry Jenkins is set to helm the upcoming Mufasa: The Lion King prequel, from a screenplay written by Catch Me If You Can scribe Jeff Nathanson. With all this talent behind the film, fans are already expecting an instant classic. Mufasa: The Lion King premiered on December 20, 2024, just in time for families to catch the movie for Christmas.

According to Jenkins, it was a real treat to see Beyoncé and Blue Ivy recording lines together. The filmmaker remarked that seeing the Grammy Award-winner “both on the screen and behind the screen, get to be a mother — and how that affected and impacted for the better the work that we were all doing — was just really awesome.” With any luck, Blue Ivy’s big performance will pave the way for a long and lucrative media career.

Chris Brown Beefs: A Look At His Most Tense Moments

Chris Brown is no stranger to making headlines but it’s not always for his music. His career has been marked by a couple of controversies along the way. Chris Brown has notably had beef with several fellow notable figures, and most have been his peers in the industry. From public feuds to heated exchanges, his time in the spotlight has been filled with several intense moments. Recently, Chris Brown and Quavo have taken jabs at each other via diss tracks, but that’s just one out of several instances of beef the R&B star has been in. Let’s dive into some of the most notable instances where Chris Brown found himself at odds with others in the industry.

Read More: Chris Brown & Quavo: A History Of Their Beef

Frank Ocean

Frank Ocean and Chris Brown’s beef seems to stem from a “compliment” Brown had given Ocean in 2012. Brown had likened Ocean to a “young James Fauntleroy or Kevin Cossum.” However, the singer did not appreciate the comment, and in response, likened Brown to a “young Sisqo or Ike Turner.” The spat came to a head a year later when Chris Brown and the singer reportedly got into a physical altercation outside a recording studio in Los Angeles.

This incident reportedly began over a parking space dispute but also fueled ongoing tensions between the two artists. According to TMZ, Brown had tried to exit a studio in West Hollywood, but Ocean and his entourage reportedly blocked his way. The entire scuffle resulted in Brown throwing a punch at Ocean, and some verbal exchanges were thrown around. Soon after the incident, Ocean took to Twitter to air his grievances. He wrote: “Got jumped by Chris and a couple guys. Cut my finger now I can’t play w two hands at the Grammys.”

Meek Mill

Chris Brown and Meek Mill found themselves in a beef after Brown decided to remove Meek from his album Fortune. The rumor mill was abuzz, and speculations arose that Brown’s decision was due to Meek’s alleged relationship with Rihanna. After being kicked off the album, Meek took to Twitter to express his thoughts, stating: “Dese chicks belong 2 da game… not u! Never get confused and that’s all u!”

In response, Brown swiftly replied with a tweet of his own. “She’s a dream chaser! There are plenty of dreamers, so she’ll be running forever!” Later on, reports surfaced that the two artists had gotten physical at a nightclub in New York City, resulting in Brown ending up with a bloody chin. After the debacle however, both artists came on Twitter to say that they had resolved their differences. Brown tweeted: “Me and @MeekMill ain’t on that nonsense. Real recognizes real….” Meek echoed the sentiment, affirming the mutual respect: “Nah, we just getting money!”

Quavo

Chris Brown and Quavo’s friendly past now long forgotten. Both of them have recently been embroiled in the Hip Hop war. The feud between the two began in 2017 when the Migos rapper began dating Brown’s ex, Karrueche Tran. Their beef saw an almost physical altercation at the 2017 BET Awards after-party.

Years later, fans and spectators alike thought that the matter had died down, as both artists sitting side-by-side at the Rhude Menswear Fall/Winter 2024-2025 show. However, Brown made it clear on Twitter that the beef was, in fact, not dead. Brown recently made a subtle jab at Quavo in his latest album 11:11 before going all out with a diss track titled “Weakest Link.”

On the track, he asserted that he had a romantic involvement with Saweetie while she was still with Quavo. He also called Quavo the “weakest link” in Migos, as well as other insults. In response, the former Migos member retaliated with his own diss track titled “Over Hoes and Bitches.” However, Brown remained unmoved and chose not to engage further.

Raz B

In December 2010, the former B2K singer Raz-B posted a contemplative tweet. He wrote: “I’m just sitting here thinking how can n***as like Eric Bennet and Chris Brown disrespect women as intelligent as Halle Berry and Rihanna.” The tweet immediately triggered a homophobic response from Chris Brown. He also ridiculed Raz-B’s allegations of being molested by a fellow member of the boy band.

Brown tweeted: “@RazB2K n***a you want attention! Grow up n***a!!! D*ck in the booty a*s little boy. Tell me this @RazB2K!! Why when the money was coming in you weren’t complaining about getting butt-plugged! #h**othug!!! I ain’t deleting my tweet either!! I was minding my damn business and Peter Pan decides to pop off!!! #whatalame.” The online spat escalated, with singer Omarion and Raz-B’s brother getting involved. Thankfully, the beef died on the internet, and things never got physical. Brown later apologized to his LGBTQ+ fans, stating that Raz-B was just being disrespectful.

Drake

In 2012, tensions between Chris Brown and Drake became heated and resulted in an alleged scuffle at a nightclub in New York City. The clash reportedly stemmed from their mutual involvement with Rihanna. Bottles were thrown, and Brown left with a minor injury. The beef was temporarily squashed until 2015 when Brown bashed Drake on Hot 97. He said: “We’re not getting no check from talking about dude. We’re giving him all this pub. We’re us. I can’t keep making these motherfuckers famous. I’m responsible for reviving a lot of careers.”

Drake subsequently responded during his live performance of “Energy” in New Zealand. He changed some of the lyrics of the song, from “I got rap n***as that I gotta act like I like” to “I got R&B n***as that I gotta act like I like.” Seven years after they started their beef, the two artists buried the hatchet and collaborated on the song “No Guidance.” Drake later spoke to Rap Radar about the entire debacle. He said: “You know, really at the end of the day when you kind of step away from it and break it down you start to feel silly ’cause it’s over girl stuff, you know? But obviously, that can snowball into real shit and that’s what happened in this situation.”

Tyson Beckford

In 2015, Tyson Beckford and Chris Brown got into it over Bown’s ex-girlfriend Karrueche Tran. After Beckford posted a photo of himself and Karrueche, Brown went on an online rant. He also sent threatening remarks to Beckford. In a now-deleted tweet, he said: “Keep playing I’ma f*ck ya baby momma and then whoop you child like he mine. U wanna keep walking them runways. I need ta legs for that. Keep playing like a ain’t wit the bullshit.”

In response, Beckford posted videos and tweets stating that he wasn’t afraid of Brown. He tweeted: “@chrisbrownofficial it’s all about fun in vegas. Come thru papa.” The two went back-and-forth over the weekend, with Brown later waving a white flag. He also acknowledged on Twitter that he was at fault and was being emotional.

The confrontation between Chris brown and Offset allegedly arose in 2019. This came after Offset criticized Brown for posting a meme about his friend, 21 Savage. Offset had commented on the meme post: “Memes ain’t funny lame.” Brown responded by labeling Offset as “sensitive,” and telling the rapper to focus on himself. He then went to hurl ageist insults at Offset, alleging that the rapper used drugs. He wrote: “If he don’t get his EARTH WIND AND FIRE pootytang space suits WEARING CAP A** LIL BOY da f**k out my comments and off my d**k.” Offset subsequently responded by bringing up Brown’s purported struggles with substance abuse.

J Cole Praised For Bowing Out Of Kendrick Lamar Feud After Fans Hear Blistering Drake Diss, “Euphoria”

J Cole is being praised on social media for bowing out of his feud with Kendrick Lamar in time to avoid catching a diss track from the rapper. The comments come after Lamar targeted Drake on his scathing new song, “Euphoria,” which hit streaming services on Tuesday. On the track, Lamar brings up Drake’s race, accuses him of being a bad father, reflects on his feud with Pusha T, and more.

“I’m glad J. Cole tapped out these two dudes absolutely HATE each other lmao,” one user on Twitter wrote. Another added: “With Kendrick dropping his diss track, the more i realize that i owe J Cole an apology. he was right to ride his bike up outta there because Kendrick Lamar and Drake HATE each other.” One more fan wrote: “J Cole somewhere on that bike with the wind against his face feeling grateful. Was Kendrick Lamar Supposed To Be On Drake And J. Cole’s ‘First Person Shooter?’

The people have been waiting. A couple weeks ago, Drake decided to diss Kendrick Lamar with “First Person Shooter,” and onlookers have been anticipating how Lamar would fire back. Finally, Lamar did today (April 30) with “Euphoria,” in which he goes all out on Drake for six minutes.

There’s so much about this song to dissect, but there’s one lyric fans have been looking at that prompts the following question:

Was Kendrick Lamar Supposed To Be On Drake And J. Cole’s “First Person Shooter?”

“Euphoria” certainly has some believing that’s the case. On the track, Lamar raps:

“I hate the way that you walk, the way that you talk
I hate the way that you dress
Surprised you wanted that feature request
You know that we got some sh*t to address.”

This comes after earlier this month, Joe Budden indicated that he heard Lamar was originally supposed to be on the song.

Meanwhile, the song is full of other barbs, including, “You not a rap artist, you a scam artist with the hopes of bеing accepted / Tommy Hilfiger stood out, but FUBU nеver had been your collection,” and, “My first one like my last one: it’s a classic, you don’t have one / Let your core audience stomach that; didn’t tell ’em where you get your abs from.” Uproxx’s Aaron Williams breaks down some of the best ones here.

Kendrick Lamar’s Drake Diss Mixed Up Televangelist Joel Osteen With The Actor From ‘Sixth Sense’ And Now Everybody Is Making ‘Abbott Elementary’ Jokes

Kendrick Lamar’s new song “Euphoria” has rap fans on social media buzzing, but not just for its inventive Drake disses. While the song’s references to Drake’s foibles and flaws have fans dissecting their favorite lines, one in particular has them scratching their heads instead.

Although pop culture references have never been Kendrick’s strong suit, he name-checks the child actor from the films The Sixth Sense and AI: Artificial Intelligence to undercut Drake’s use of AI to utilize deceased rapper Tupac’s voice in his “Taylor Made Freestyle.” At least, he thinks he does — because the name Kendrick actually checked is Joel Osteen, the controversial televangelist whose Texas megachurch drew negative headlines for how it handled its Hurricane Harvey response in 2017. The name he apparently meant to say is Haley Joel Osment, who achieved cultural ubiquity for his reading of the iconic line “I see dead people” in the 1999 thriller The Sixth Sense.

As fans remark on the hilarious mix-up, one joke that keeps recurring is the similarity to Abbott Elementary character Barbara Howard. One of the show’s teachers played by Sheryl Lee Ralph, Mrs. Howard is the center of a running gag in which she regularly confuses white celebrities’ names, but everyone else can usually figure out who she really means. Examples include Brian Austin Green (Bryan Tyree Henry), Carrie Underwood (Keri Washington), and Tommy Lee Jones (James Earl Jones). Check out some more responses below:

Gillie Da Kid Labels Kendrick Lamar’s “Euphoria” Corny,” Says Drake & Chris Brown Are Up

Gillie Da Kid isn’t a fan of Kendrick Lamar’s new diss track, “Euphoria,” on which he takes aim at Drake amid their ongoing feud. The Million Dollaz Worth Of Game host voiced his first impression of the song in a video posted to social media on Tuesday. While filming himself in his car, Gillie explains that he thinks the track is corny and that Drake is up 2-0 in the beef.

“I f*ck with Kendrick but that sh*t was corn on the cob man,” Gillie said. “You know what’s crazy man? The light-skinned n****s is winning three to nothing. Drake up two to nothing. Chris Brown up one to nothing. Just take me back. I remember in the late eighties light skin n****s ran everything up to the late eighties. Then Nino Brown pistol-whipped every light-skinned n***a in New Jack City. Then they had it bad all the way up to Steph Curry and Chris Brown and Klay Thompson and Drake. Now the light-skinned n****s doing what they want.”

On the track, Lamar goes off on the Toronto rapper, accusing him of being a “scam artist,” implying he’s a bad father, and much more. At one point, he brings up Drake’s previous feud with Pusha T. He raps: “I don’t like you poppin’ sh*t, that sh*t for real, I inherit the beef / Yeah, f*ck all that pushin’ P, let me see you push-a-T / You better off spinnin’ again on him, you think about pushin’ me?” At another point, he brings Drake’s race into the conversation. “How many more fairytale stories about your life ’til we’ve had enough?” Lamar raps. “How many more Black features ’til you finally feel that you’re Black enough?”
