Foxy Brown Faces Backlash For Diddy Comments Following Cassie’s Sexual Assault Lawsuit

Foxy Brown is coming under fire on social media for her recent comments on Diddy following Cassie’s lawsuit against the Bad Boy mogul. The rapper shared a screenshot of a text conversation between herself and a man named, “Darryl Brown,” on her Instagram Story, Friday, which appears insensitive.

“You are thankful, I’m thankful I’m so glad you didn’t get caught up in that Ditty [sic] s*** when he tried to sign you, God bless you and Baby C,” the man wrote to her. Brown responded: “Dead ass though, Diddy gave me Ms. For ME it was the BEST OF BOTH WORLDS. [fire emojis] DEF JAM X BAD BOY COLLABO SUPER CHECKMATE.”

Cassie filed her lawsuit against Diddy, earlier this month, accusing him of physical, sexual, and emotional abuse. The two agreed on a settlement less than 24 hours later. Despite Diddy ending that legal action, two more victims have come forward with lawsuits of their own against him. His spokesperson denied both allegations in a statement provided to HipHopDX. They wrote: “These are fabricated claims falsely alleging misconduct from over 30 years ago and filed at the last minute. This is nothing but a money grab. Because of Mr. Combs’ fame and success, he is an easy target for anonymous accusers who lie without conscience or consequence for financial benefit. The New York Legislature surely did not intend or expect the Adult Survivors Act to be exploited by scammers. The public should be skeptical and not rush to accept these bogus allegations.”

Tyla Teases The Release Of Her Next Single ‘Truth Or Dare’ With A Steamy Video Clip

South African singer Tyla is amapiano music’s rising star. Following the release of her viral song “Water” and the subsequent TikTok challenge, Tyla has snatched the public’s attention. In fact, this month, during the 2024 Grammy Awards nomination ceremony, Tyla even earned herself a nod in the Best New Artist category. Shortly after that, to serve as icing on her blissful career cake, she dropped the remix to her smash hit, which featured a guest appearance by Travis Scott.

Although the jury’s still out on what “Water” is actually about, the meaning of her next record is clear-cut. Yesterday (November 25), Tyla took to her official X (formerly Twitter) page to tease her new song.

“Truth or Dare. Pre-save, December 1,” wrote Tyla. In the steamy teaser clip, Tyla appears to be cutting things off with a past lover struggling with her newfound fame.

“Can’t handle what I am now / You’re a fan now / And I’m not what I was / So tell me, are you down now? / ‘Cause I’m up now / So, let’s play truth or dare / Dare you to forget / That you used to treat me just like anyone / Truth or dare,” sings Tyla.

Although there are no aquatic tricks in the video like in the official visual for “Water,” the sound will make a splash once the entire record hits streaming platforms.

“Truth Or Dare” is out 12/1 via Epic.

Hazel-E Slams Cardi B, Insists Nicki Minaj Is On “Top”

During her recent interview with Tasha K, Hazel-E shared her thoughts on Cardi B, and she didn’t hold back. According to her, the “Bongos” performer has no grounds to claim that she’s on “top” right now, particularly when one considers the work that others like Nicki Minaj have done. She hurled quite a few insults the hitmaker’s way, making it clear that she’s not a fan.

Hazel-E’s obviously allowed to have her opinions as to who reigns supreme in the female rap game. Some social media users think she took things a bit too far, however. Notably, she took aim at the fact that Cardi is Latina. Many felt that it was unfair, irrelevant to her argument, and disrespectful.

Hazel-E Weighs In On Cardi B

“When you really like, take Nicki for who she is and her body of work and what she did for female rap, and you don’t want to give her credit?” she begins in a clip from the interview. “It’s like, I’m not no hater a** b*tch, so all this ghetto Cinderella f*ckin’ projects Spanish-a** motherf*ckin’ senorita concita f*ckin’ Spanish Latin female rap b*tch talkin’ bout she the top is cr*zy.” It’s no secret that the Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood star is on team Nicki, but many think she could have toned it down.

Cardi B was far from the only person Hazel-E spoke about during her interview with Tasha K, however. Elsewhere in the conversation, Hazel-E accused people like her ex Katt Williams, Migos, Remy Ma, Suge Knight, and more of conspiring to take Nicki down. Did you tune into Hazel-E’s interview with Tasha K? What do you think of her take on Cardi B? Do you think her criticism was fair, or did she cross the line? Gayle King Recalls Oprah Winfrey Doubting She’d Land JAY-Z Interview

Gayle King says that Oprah Winfrey doubted she’d be able to land her recent viral interview with JAY-Z. Speaking with Access Hollywood in Las Vegas, last week, King explained Winfrey doubted the interview would come to fruition as the Brooklyn rapper repeatedly postponed their meet-up.

“Even Oprah said, ‘You’re making a damn fool of yourself! Stop asking him. He doesn’t want to do it.’,” King recalled. “But I couldn’t let it go because he never said, ‘No, no, no.’ He just kept delaying, delaying, delaying. Oprah said, ‘He’s being polite because he doesn’t want to tell you, ‘No.’ I kept coming back. I don’t know why he said yes or why he changed his mind but I’m forever grateful.”

“I’m still floating from that interview honestly. I was really buzzing after because you don’t know and you know he doesn’t like to do interviews,” she continued. “I had an older woman who was not the JAY-Z demographic and she came up to me saying, ‘You know, I never listened to that kind of music. But after listening to his interview, I’m going to go to the library and I want to listen to his music.’ And I said, ‘You should get ’99 Problems’ mam, you’d enjoy that!’” Check out her full comments on the interview below.

Offset & Don Toliver Showed That They’re ‘Worth It’ With A Scorching Performance On ‘Fallon’

There are plenty of things “Say My Grace” rapper Offset has to be thankful for, including his beautiful children, wife and fellow entertainer Cardi B, and his hot career. To show his gratitude for his fans’ unwavering support of his latest album, Set It Off, Offset took a trip down to the studios of The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon.

While there, he was sure to bring friend and collaborator Don Toliver to deliver a scorching performance of their track “Worth It.” Toliver and Offset are known for their smooth dance moves, so neither is held back as they work the performance space. To bring some warmth to the otherwise cold New York City Thanksgiving Day holiday (November 23), the pair used a tropical background to warm up the chilly ambiance.

Last month, during an interview with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe, Offset revealed that in order to push himself out of his creative slump with his album, he thought back on the support he had from his late Migos member, Takeoff.

“Even on my own journey, I still feel his presence and his energy like, bro, ‘We got to go hard. We got to win. We got to win. This ain’t the end of it. We got to win.’ So that’s another thing that pushed me through is my boy, Take[off], man. He didn’t care that he didn’t care about the numbers, nothing. He like, ‘Bro, y’all’s sh*t hard.’ He’s just very supportive in that. I just keep that in the back of my mind and just keep pushing,” said Offset.

Drake’s “For All The Dogs” Tops Billboard 200 Following “Scary Hours” Edition Release

At the beginning of last month, Drake dropped off his eagerly-awaited new album, For All The Dogs. As expected, the LP quickly skyrocketed to the top of the charts, with his high-profile collabs getting plenty of praise. His songs with Yeat, J. Cole, SZA & Sexyy Red, and more quickly became fan favorites. Supporters were under the impression that the Toronto native would be taking some time off after releasing the project, however, he came through with a surprise shortly after.

Earlier this month, Drake unveiled the deluxe version of the album, For All the Dogs Scary Hours Edition, delivering six brand new tracks. It was immediately well-received upon its release, with countless fans claiming that Scary Hours gave them what they thought For All The Dogs was missing. Now, the album has climbed its way right back up to the top, and is now sitting at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. He currently ranks among artists like Taylor Swift, Dolly Parton, and more.

Last week, it moved an additional 145,000 equivalent album units, which was mostly comprised of streaming. Following the release of For All the Dogs Scary Hours Edition, Drake also came through with instrumental versions of the Scary Hours 3 tracks. He even challenged other artists to rap over them, resulting in some bars from Fabolous.

While fans aren’t surprised that Drake continues to see success, some supporters think he might have Joe Budden to thank. Following the LP’s original release, Budden shared some hot takes on the project, prompting a lengthy and passionate response from Drake. Upon hearing the Scary Hours edition, however, some thought he might have taken Budden’s advice. It offers fans more straightforward bars than the original, seemingly aligning with Budden’s suggestions. When asked about the speculation, however, Joe Budden simply stated “I have absolutely nothing to say.” What do you think of Drake’s For All The Dogs going No. 1 again? Hit-Boy Confident He’ll Win Grammy For Producer Of The Year

During a recent chat with TMZ, Hit-Boy shared his thoughts on the 2024 Grammys, revealing that he believes he has a good chance at taking home a big win. He’s nominated for Producer of the Year Non-Classical, a category he was also nominated for a couple of years back. His 2024 competitors include Jack Antonoff, Dernst “D’Mile” Emile II, Daniel Nigro, and Metro Boomin. Clearly, he’s going up against the best of the best, but regardless, he’s feeling as confident as ever.

“I want to win it this time I was nominated like two years ago so I’m tryna get it fo sho,” he told the outlet last week. “You just gotta look at the discog I went cr*zy on albums really giving people a sound so we’ll see.” He continued, revealing that he thinks his LP alongside Musiq Soulchild, Victims & Villians, should have gotten some recognition of its own. “I did his whole album this year,” Hit-Boy described. “I think he should’ve been nominated in one of the categories. It was A1. It was high-quality R&B music.”

Hit-Boy Speaks On His Grammy Nomination

His project with Musiq Soulchild isn’t his only notable accomplishment of the year, either. He also teamed up with Nas again for the New York native’s seventeenth album, Magic 3. Of course, he also joined forces with his father Big Hit to produce Surf Or Drown Vol. 2, which they unveiled in June.

While he feels “great” about his chances at winning, Hit-Boy also told the outlet that he’s yet to prepare a speech. According to him, he can just “freestyle” something when he gets up there. As for the possibility of forgetting to mention someone important, Hit-Boy claims that they’ll know “it’s all love.” Who do you think will take home the award for Producer of the Year at the 2024 Grammys? Do you think Hit-Boy’s prediction will come true? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below, and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.
