Why Was T.I. Upset That His Son King Was On A Club Flyer?

There’s a meme that’s been circulating on the internet for the past decade or so making light of the fact that urban club promoters will put literally anything on their flyers to make their events relevant. Examples range from Martin Luther King Jr. in a durag (for MLK Day parties, of course) to flavor of the month video vixens who certainly won’t be attending.

But that tendency apparently came back to bite a party promoter in Atlanta after they referenced recent public discord between trap rap OG T.I. and his song King Harris to promote an event in the city. A video of T.I. reading the club’s employees the riot act surfaced online, drawing amused and amazed reactions from fans on social media who couldn’t help noting the rapper “stands on business.”

But why was T.I. so angry that his son was on the flyer? The trouble goes back to another viral video that captured the 18-year-old King arguing with his parents about his upbringing during a recent Atlanta Falcons game. In the video, King tries to assert his hood credentials to a father who literally sold drugs to make a living (by the way, the video was shot in a suite at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium), eventually getting so heated at his parents’ joking provocations (he sucked a pacifier ’til he was 12, according to Tiny) he appears to physically challenge his father. While the video is hard to make out, from the audio, it doesn’t sound like that went well for him.

Obviously, this is an embarrassing situation for the family — especially for T.I., who’s had something of a rough couple of years in the public eye (partly his own fault) — so it makes sense he wouldn’t want other folks making light of his troubles. Undoubtedly, when he got wind of the club flyer, which PhotoShopped him putting King in a chokehold, he wasn’t too happy about it. In the video posted online, T.I. tells club employees “ain’t nothing goin’” until the flyer is changed. To make a long story short, the flyer was changed.

If there’s a lesson in this, it’s probably to remember that despite the money and notoriety, entertainers are people too, and deserving of some amount of decency and privacy. You might think everything is fair game, but if they disagree, it can go badly for you — expeditiously.

Ralo Calls Young Thug’s RICO Charges “Weak”

Young Thug’s eagerly-anticipated YSL RICO trial finally got rolling earlier this week, which sees him being tried for various gang charges. So far, the process has been pretty chaotic, and rumblings of Judge Ural Glanville ruling it a mistrial have already begun. Thugger’s being accused of leading what prosecutors have labeled a “criminal street gang,” though he maintains his innocence. Countless fans and peers have continued to call for the rapper’s release, as he’s been locked up for over a year now.

Ralo, who just completed his own time behind bars, recently weighed in on the case on social media. He explained feeling as though the prosecution doesn’t have a strong case against the 32-year-old, and are instead trying make him take the fall for crimes others around him have committed. Moreover, Ralo thinks that Young Thug should just be freed already, calling his charges “weak.”

Ralo Weighs In On Young Thug’s Trial

“Young Thug [trial] weak as f*ck,” Ralo Tweeted yesterday (November 29). “I can’t even believe they giving Jeff ah hard time like that for them weak a** charges. They might [as] well just let him go. I feel like they just trying blame him for sh*t n***as around him was doing. That sh*t l*me!!!” While many fans agree with Ralo’s message, some are curious as to how he was able to share it. It was just recently announced that he’s been blocked from social media. His team shared the news on his behalf last week, claiming that he’ll have to wait to complete a program to reconnect with fans.

“We thought that we would be able to welcome Ralo home in peace. But he has been restricted from all social media platforms until he completes his program,” their post reads. What do you think of Ralo’s take on Young Thug’s RICO trial? Do you agree that authorities should just let him go already? Offset Reveals Why He Hasn’t Put Out Takeoff Tribute

Offset’s new GQ interview covers a lot: the process behind his new album Set It Off, taking inspiration from Tyler, The Creator, and so much more. However, one crucial and very revealing part of the conversation regards the tragic loss of his Migos partner, Takeoff. Moreover, the Georgia trap icon explained why he hasn’t yet released a full tribute track or any form of music or content dedicated to Take. His words ring especially true in a time in which fans want music like this to not only resonate emotionally, but perform commercially.

This pressure, plus the vibes that ‘Set went for on Set It Off, went at odds with the heart and message he wants to put into his art to cathartically and respectfully pay homage to his fallen friend. “It’s way more fun,” Offset remarked about his project. “I didn’t want to talk about tragedy. Talk about… I ain’t ready to talk about that s**t yet, first and foremost. I don’t know how to do it, but I didn’t want to just be making an album about bad s**t and dissing and putting that type of energy on the project. It was going to make my mind be in a different place.

“The world is not ready for it. Because [everyone] is so judgmental,” Offset continued. “They want you to make a song pouring your heart out that’s a hit. There is a song on there that’s kind of expressing that s**t, though, which is ‘Upside Down.’ It’s feeling confident I’m going to go up with the music, but I’m down every day. It’s the challenge of trying to be the best at your worst times.”

Meanwhile, this adds to other small tidbits and insights into the 31-year-old’s career and evolution over the years. Another shocking, interesting, and frankly disagreeable revelation was that he originally hated “Ric Flair Drip.” All we can hope for is that the effort put into a Takeoff tribute is healing and resonant, regardless of what fans may expect or what metrics they may use to judge it. On that note, stay logged into HNHH for the latest news and updates on Offset.

Sexyy Red Criticized For Reposting TikTok From Murderer

Like most of her music does, Sexyy Red’s new single “FREE MY N*GGA” has gone viral on TikTok. People have come up with plenty of clever ways to repurpose the lyrics for their own content. But some people have taken it very literally and used it as a rallying cry for people actually being freed from prison. One person in particular who made a video including the song was pretty well known on TikTok.

The video came from one of two men who made up the “E and J Gang” viral couple account on TikTok. Last year the pair were both arrested and eventually jailed over the murder of a 29-year-old man in Georgia. It’s obvious why he would see fit to make a video of his own to the new song, and Red herself caught it. She posted the video to twitter with the caption “Free Dat!!” but many online took issue with her post. Check out the video she shared below.

Sexyy Red In Hot Water Again

Fans in the comments quickly tried to inform her who the man in the video was. “Free a murdered?” one of the top comments reads. “Wayment Sexyy you need to reconsider” and “do you know what him and that man did ? smh” two other comments read. Surprisingly though, not everyone was against Red in the matter. Some comments on an Instagram repost pointed out the double standard in calling for people to be freed.

“Y’all be posting free y’all killer cousins all the time. Ion see the problem. Lol.” one of the top comments on Instagram reads. Another compared it to the many calls from across the hip-hop landscape for Young Thug to be freed. “Ain’t y’all the same one talking bout free Thug ? I’m sorry Truly humble under God ?” the comment reads. What do you think of Sexyy Red reposting a video of a man in jail for murder performing her new song? Let us know in the comment section below.

Rihanna & Drake’s “What’s My Name” Music Video Hits Massive Milestone

Rihanna and Drake are two of the biggest stars in music. Overall, they have dropped some truly massive tracks over the years. Although they may not be on the best of terms these days, they certainly had hits together. One such track is the mega-hit “What’s My Name.” This is one of those songs that you surely heard a lot on the radio or in the mall. It was an inescapable pop track that proved yet again that Riri is a superstar. As for Drake, it was a huge look earlier on in his career.

Of course, seeing as though this was such a massive track, there was, indeed, a music video for it. Both artists were very keen to do one, and it obviously did numbers. It is a video that got a lot of play back when MTV did still play music as opposed to “Ridiculousness” re-runs. That said, Riri and Drake have hit a brand-new milestone for the video. According to Billboard, the music video has now reached a whopping view count of over 1 billion.

Rihanna & Drake Had A Huge Hit Here

There are only a few songs ever that have gotten to the one billion mark. On YouTube, momentum is key so sometimes, older songs aren’t able to reach the mark. However, Rihanna and Drake were able to turn that tide, which is cool to see. They join an elite club, and it will be interesting to see what other music videos these artists can get to the one billion mark. Hopefully, Rihanna gives us some new music that would potentially make that cut.

Drake has a whole slew of new music videos out, so hopefully, some of those are able to hit the big time. Lupe Fiasco & Joe Budden Go Back And Forth Over Andre 3000 Criticism

Lupe Fiasco is someone who has consistently made great music. Overall, he is a beloved artist in the hip-hop world, and that will never change. However, not every move he has made has been celebrated. For example, he recently decided to rap over some of Andre 3000’s instrumentals on New Blue Sun. This captured the attention of none other than Joe Budden. Budden took to his podcast and had some strong words for Lupe, noting that it was a bad move. Ultimately, he was not a fan of the new music.

Lupe decided to respond to Budden on Twitter. Below, you can see that he posted some images that displays how Lupe has a lot more listeners than Joe does. ““We don’t chase what’s been already achieved. Victory laps sometimes look like qualifiers especially from the stands @joebudden. New Blue Sun now streaming on all platforms,” he wrote. Subsequently, Budden clapped back, simply saying “Lupe is him. That flute shit was worse than ass… 2 things can be true… stop lying to your favorite artists for 2024, you might get better product.”

Eventually, these tweets were deleted. In their wake, Budden went back on Twitter and simply wrote: “Spoke to Lupe, I still love him. lol.” This was quote-tweeted by Lupe who simply gave a thumbs up. Ultimately, it seems like the two are on good terms right now. However, this is just yet another example of how Budden has always been very critical of his peers. He is not afraid to be critical, and it typically leads to back and forths like the one above.

Now that this situation has been resolved, let us know who you believe is in the right, in the comments section down below. Also, should more artists give their vocals to the Andre album? Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest news and updates from around the music world. We will always be sure to keep you informed on all of your favorite artists.

Ari Lennox had a bit of chaos during a recent show after a video of her went viral. In it, one of the crowd members threw a bottle at her during her speech on stage. “Say I’m confident, say I’m the one and never the motherf*cking ass two,” Lennox tells the audience to hype them up. She then launches into her song, before the bottle can be seen flying right past her.

While it didn’t appear to hit her, she still wasn’t amused — and quickly snapped out of the song. Pointing in the direction of the bottle’s origin, Lennox pushed back, “B*tch, don’t f*cking play… I’ll f*ck you up a bit. Who the f*ck did it?”

She walks closer on the stage to where the bottle was thrown. “Who the f*ck did it?” she asks again. “I’ll f*ck your ass up ’cause I don’t play that. I’m a real-ass b*tch and I will f*ck your sh*t all the way the f*ck up. Don’t you ever disrespect a beautiful Black woman.”

Although the video ends, Lennox appears to keep going, with a security guard standing by her side. Fans on social media had a ton of reactions to it too.

“They brought the DMV right out of her,” one user captioned.

“As an Aries, I FULLY support this moment,” another added in the comments.

Eminem “Fortnite” Skin Used To Recreate Iconic Rap Battle From “8 Mile”: Watch

An enterprising Fortnite player has utilized several in-game assets, including the recently released Eminem skin, to recreate the final rap battle from 8 Mile. In a video posted to social media, the player incorporates audio from the film over in-game footage of Eminem’s skin squaring off with Falcon from the MCU. Falcon is portrayed by Anthony Mackie, who also played Slim Shady’s opponent at the end of 8 Mile. The clip utilizes various emotes to add to the experience, and ends with Eminem killing Falcon with a shotgun.

The original TikTok has over 1.4 million views. Furthermore, the video on X, reuploaded by an Eminem fan account, has an additional 2.1 million views. While the video has been very well-received, it also garnered praise from a very high place. “I mean… wow!” wrote Paul Rosenburg in a quote tweet. Rosenburg is Eminem’s long-time real-life manager. The Slim Shady skin was released earlier this week and marks one of the final releases before the game transitions to its next update, “Chapter Five”. As part of the pre-transition “Big Bang” event, Eminem will be performing a virtual concert inside the game.

Eminem Soundtracks Call Of Duty Trailer

However, Fortnite is not the first video game that Eminem has been involved with this year. Back in October, Slim Shady’s iconic vocals could be heard in a trailer for the multiplayer mode of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. The Detroit rapper’s 2002 hit “Till I Collapse” scored a cinematic trailer showcasing the ultra-cinematic violence of the game’s multiplayer mode. Furthermore, the trailer also confirmed the news that a host of iconic maps from the original Modern Warfare trilogy will be returning for this new Modern Warfare 3. However, it’s not the rapper’s first Call Of Duty collab. Back in 2013, he released the track “Survival” for Call Of Duty: Ghosts.

While old maps and fan-favorite modes are returning, Activision is trying a few new things with Modern Warfare III. One of the biggest additions will be Cutthroat, a 3v3v3 mode that is briefly featured and highlighted in the trailer. The new features will likely be highlighted in more detail at the October 5 multiplayer preview event. Meanwhile, the game will be released on November 10. Activision has previously confirmed that cosmetics and other purchases from Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0 will carry over to the new game. The game released to mediocre reviews on November 10.

Jay-Z Sparks New Album Theories Thanks To “Book Of HOV” Auction

Jay-Z is one of the greatest rappers to ever live. Overall, his resume is cemented and he will go down as the GOAT to a lot of people. That said, fans have been very excited about his next project. He has 13 albums to his name and fans have wanted that 14th project for a while. Unfortunately, the album has yet to drop, and Jay has yet to even announce it. However, his latest auction for the “Book Of HOV” exhibit is now leading to some speculation that the album is on the horizon.

According to People, there is a case for each album in the exhibit. That said, there is a 14th case which is empty. One could deduce in their head that this is some sort of teaser that a 14th album is, in fact, on the horizon. Of course, that has not been confirmed and is simply wishful thinking. While speaking with Gayle King earlier this year, Hov noted that there are a few conditions that must be met in order for him to release music.
