Billie Eilish Announces Fortnite Festival Mainstage Concert

Weekend two of Coachella just wrapped up but fans looking for more music festival fun may have a virtual opportunity. Pop megastar Billie Eilish was one of the headliners of Coachella in 2022 and she showed up again this year as a special guest during Lana Del Rey’s headlining performance. She’s taking to a different kind of festival later this week when she plays the main stage of Fortnite’s music festival. She’s following in the footsteps of artists like Ariana Grande, Lady Gaga, Travis Scott, and more who have entered the virtual realm.

She took to Twitter over the weekend with the simple announcement “Fortnite Festival Main Stage: 4.23.24.” The post also came with a picture of the “bad guy” singer within the game. In the picture, she’s sporting an electric green fit of her own virtual merch. It’s in the same color as the iconic hair she debuted during her debut album era. The midweek show is due to get underway tomorrow and fans of both the artist and the game itself expressed their excitement underneath the post. Check out the brief announcement she shared below.

Billie Eilish Announces Fortnite Concert

Earlier this month, Billie Eilish was one of the loudest voices among dozens and dozens of artists speaking out against the use of AI mimicking their work. The most recent AI issue emerged when episode two of Childish Gambino’s new radio show aired over the weekend. He’s used AI on the show a few times before. But this week he debuted a brand new song that featured a guest verse from Kanye West.

Despite plenty of fan excitement for the promise of the song, some couldn’t help but wonder if the verse was AI generated. In fact, the discussion of the song was almost entirely dominated by debates over whether or not it was real. What do you think of Billie Eilish participating in a virtual Fortnite concert? Do you plan on attending the show within the game when it takes place later this week? Let us know in the comment section below.

Ninja/Tyler Blevins Net Worth 2024: Updated Wealth Of The Streamer

Tyler Blevins, popularly known as “Ninja,” has become a household name in gaming and streaming. As of 2024, his net worth is estimated to be around $40 million US dollars, according to Celebrity Net Worth. But how did he achieve this impressive figure? Let’s delve into the journey of this gaming sensation.

Born on June 5, 1991, in Detroit, Michigan, Tyler Blevins began his journey in the gaming world at a young age. His father introduced him to video games, and by the time he was in high school, he was already competing in video game tournaments. His professional gaming career took off in 2009, starting with Halo 3. Over the years, he played for renowned organizations like Team Liquid, Cloud9, and Renegades.

Ninja’s popularity skyrocketed when he began playing Fortnite Battle Royale. His Twitch followers grew exponentially, and his streams set records. One notable moment was when he played Fortnite with celebrities like Drake and Travis Scott, attracting a whopping 635,000 live viewers. This success led to collaborations with brands like Red Bull Esports and even a partnership with electronic musician Marshmello.

In 2018, Ninja made headlines by signing a partnership with Red Bull Esports. However, a significant turning point came in 2019 when he announced his move from Twitch to the Microsoft-owned platform Mixer. This decision was monumental as Ninja was Twitch’s most-followed active channel at the time. But the association with Mixer was short-lived. After Microsoft decided to close Mixer, Ninja returned to Twitch, but not before reportedly earning a staggering $40 million from Microsoft.

He has raised substantial amounts for organizations like the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and Feeding America.

Ninja’s contributions to the gaming world haven’t gone unnoticed. He has bagged several awards, including the Gaming and Live Streamer awards at the Streamy Awards and the Esports Personality of the Year at the Esports Awards. SZA Wins At BRIT Awards And Grammys

Elsewhere, SZA beat out a crowded field to take home “Best International Artist” at the BRIT Awards. The St. Louis singer took home the award ahead of the likes of Miley Cyrus, Olivia Rodrigo, and Taylor Swift. In fact it, was a quiet night overall for Swift. Cyrus took home “International Song of the Year” for “Flowers”. However, it should be noted that Swift did not have a nomination in this category. Previously, Swift had topped SZA for “Album of the Year” at the Grammys.

Furthermore, speaking of the Grammys, alongside Phoebe Bridgers, she won the 2024 Grammy for best pop dup/group performance for their track “Ghost in the Machine”. The pair most notably won the award over Swift, who was nominated for her track “Karma”, which featured Ice Spice. “Holy sh-t THANK YOU @phoebe_bridgers!!!I F-CKING LOVE YOU B-TCH !! 🥹😩Thank you to @RecordingAcad!!!!!!! The Weeknd Drops “Popular” Music Video With Madonna & Playboi Carti: Watch

The Weeknd hyped up his HBO show The Idol a lot last year, and while it was by no means perfect, it at least brought us some great music. It’s hard for him to miss in this regard at all, but fans were still shocked when he dropped “Popular” with two very interesting guests as a lead-up to the show. These are rap’s new wave leader Playboi Carti and pop legend Madonna, and fans were bewildered as to how these fusions would come out even if both fit with Abel Tesfaye separately. Regardless of fan expectations, it’s a pop banger, and just a couple of days after its premiere on Fortnite, we now have the official music video for the song on YouTube.

Of course, it’s a very lavish visual treatment that matches well with the shiny cleanliness and pristine production on “Popular.” The Weeknd, Madonna, and Playboi Carti all appear individually at a grand mansion, a high-rise apartment, and a luxury car, respectively. It’s all very clear, crisp, and although simple, it does definitely invoke the aesthetics and mood of the record itself, so it’s a big success in our book. We would’ve loved to have seen the artists interact, though, as XO and Opium have a very strong relationship. Also, it’s wild to think about how the Queen of Pop and King Vamp would match stylistically, both in terms of fashion and general artistry.

Still, this is adding to a heck of a victory lap run for the 34-year-old right now, one that will probably turn into a full album rollout very soon. He recently broke some more Spotify records and teases his next effort in a vague way. Everyone’s looking forward to see how the Canadian superstar wraps up his current trilogy, and his stage moniker as a whole, it seems. But don’t fear: just because he won’t go by The Weeknd anymore doesn’t mean that he won’t stay in the industry as a creative making great art.

Meanwhile, what did you think of this new “Popular” music video? Considering rumors about an upcoming project, are you looking forward to the “Alone Again” artist making new strides in film as a co-writer? Whatever the case may be, drop your thoughts in the comments section down below. Also, stay up to date on HNHH for the latest news and updates on The Weeknd, Madonna, and Playboi Carti.

The Weeknd previously discussed the making of the song during an interview with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe. “I’m proud of it. I’m definitely proud of it,” he said, last year. “Me and Carti had this… I mean, we’ve jammed out before. We’ve had a different version of this song prior. So I’ve had these vocals for a while and I’ve kind of just worked around it, and then kind of kept it in the tuck. But now it felt like it was time. It was time. And it felt right and it felt cohesive with this album that I’m working on right now. Or that I just actually finished. The Idol soundtrack, yeah. And so I’ve been producing the song for a while. And then Madonna, Madge. She’s the ultimate co-sign for this song, for this album, and for this TV show. And you’ll hear more of her in the show as well, too. She is the ultimate pop star.”

Last June, The Weeknd had a big moment, linking up with Madonna (and Playboi Carti) on The Idol soundtrack cut “Popular.” The song now has an official video, but you’ll need to head into the world of Fortnite to watch it.

How To Watch The Weeknd, Madonna, And Playboi Carti’s “Popular” Video In Fortnite Festival

The video made its exclusive debut on Fortnite Festival on February 15 at 7 p.m. ET, and is set to play repeatedly until February 18 at 7 p.m. ET. To watch, it’s simple: log into Fortnite on your preferred platform (PlayStation, Switch, PC, etc.) and find the Discover screen. Then, enter the Festival Jam Stage, and there, there will be a dedicated viewing area, featuring a giant screen showing the video. The video is currently not officially available on any other platform, so find more details here.

The Weeknd previously said of the song, “I’m proud of it. I’m definitely proud of it. Me and Carti had this… I mean, we’ve jammed out before. We’ve had a different version of this song prior. So I’ve had these vocals for a while and I’ve kind of just worked around it, and then kind of kept it in the tuck. But now it felt like it was time. It was time. Kanye West & Ty Dolla Sign Track “Unlock” Stuns Fans With Bizarre “Fortnite” Reference

Kanye West and Ty Dolla Sign continue to tease their new album. Overall, this project is called Vultures and it has been delayed quite a few times already. However, there is still a lot of interest and intrigue from the fans out there. They know that this is going to be one of the biggest releases of 2024, even if it might fall short. While the snippets have arguably been “mid,” there is still this sense that Ye will be able to fix the album in time. Only time will tell whether or not that is the case.

Last night, Ye and Ty Dolla were supposed to drop off “Everybody” which contains a sample from the Backstreet Boys. However, they ended up failing to do so. Instead, DJ Pharris for Power 92 Radio ended up giving a premier. This was for the track “Unlock” which is not on any streaming services right now. Instead, it was meant to just be a little teaser for what is supposedly going to come on January 12th. Interestingly enough, at 1:40 in the song, there was a unique reference that fans picked up on.

Was “Fortnite” On Kanye West’s Mind

At one point, you can hear a reference to Fortnite and the character Jonesy, as well as an OG map location, “Salty Springs.” Overall, this felt pretty out of place and there is some debate as to whether or not it was Ye saying it. After all, this was a radio premier so it could have been the DJ shouting out someone who was attempting to be funny. Regardless, this led to a huge wave of reactions on social media, with many asking whether or not Ye is playing the game on the regular.

Fans React

You can check out some of the reactions, below. Let us know what you think of the track, in the comments section below. Is The Travis Scott Skin Coming Back To ‘Fortnite?’

travis scott fortnite
Epic Games

2023 saw Travis Scott make a triumphant return to the spotlight after taking a year off in the wake of the tragedy at his 2021 Astroworld Festival. While the fallout still hasn’t settled (and neither have the families of the victims currently suing Travis and Live Nation over the 10 deaths and hundreds of injuries), Scott was able to roll out his new album Utopia and its accompanying Circus Maximus tour without incident, and by all accounts both have done extremely well.

However, one place he’s yet to return is Epic Games’ massively popular shooter Fortnite. The nearly unbiquitous game had a pretty year of its own, expanding its game modes and incorporating even more celebrity partnerships into the game, including appearances from Eminem and The Weeknd. While Travis Scott and Fortnite are two of the biggest brands around, fans of both have been disappointed that the rapper’s highly coveted character skin has not returned to the game since its debut in 2020 as part of Fortnite‘s first-ever virtual concert event.

The concert, which broke several Fortnite records, was accompanied by the skin for a limited time. Since the skin has not een made available since, it’s become one of the rarest in-game skins. Fans who missed out the first time around have wondered online whether the rapper had been blacklisted due to the Astroworld tragedy, but Epic CEO Tim Sweeney refuted those claims earlier this year.

“Travis Scott is welcome in Fortnite,” he wrote on Twitter. “I’m just not in the loop on item shop rotations so I don’t know what’s coming when, or what specific agreements with celebrities and brands affect the timing of those decisions.” Considering how much work goes into these things, it’s no surprise that the limited-edition release hasn’t come back; besides, Travis’ prior brand collabs have proven that he’s protective of his own brand and he may not even be interested in diluting the hype around his Fortnite skin by bringing it back.

Meanwhile, Dot Esports reported that a prominent leaker datamined assets from the game’s Test Item Shop, suggesting that it might return sometime in the future. For now, all fans can do is keep their fingers crossed and hope he headlines another in-game event. At least he wouldn’t have to worry about his own stage props attacking him there.
