Bun B On “Drink Champs”: Rapper Talks Trill Burgers & Respect In The Rap Game

Rapper and food entrepreneur Bun B joined Drink Champs to talk about his lengthy rap career and more pressingly, his successful Trill Burgers enterprise. “When these burgers came into my life, I was like, this is it,” Bun began. “This is what I been waiting for all my life. I haven’t felt anything like this [feeling] since probably hip hop, getting married and this,” he said. “[It aligns] with passion, it aligns with purpose. It makes me wanna be present in the moment and learn sh-t,” Bun B explained.

Furthermore, he discussed what he believes is the reason behind its viral success. “Not only was it the best burger I had ever had by far, but it was one of the best meals I had ever had. That’s why people keep coming back to Trill Burgers. Because it’s so satisfying. And the flavor and the taste and the product has been consistent. We’ve broken every record. Every music festival we’ve ever been to, we’ve broken every single day and weekend vendor record anybody’s ever had. It’s not only an incredible food product, but it has 30 years of trill culture built into it. So there’s residual benefits to not just buying the burger but supporting the brand,” he continued.

Bun B Explains Earning Respect In Rap

Elsewhere, Bun B reflected on getting love from old-school rappers such as Chuck D and Flava Flav. “When my OGs show love like that, it’s only right that I be as gracious. I had to fight to get there, but there were people with their foot in the door, holding it open for me. And they appreciate the way that I came in and the way I represented the culture and it’s so fulfilling because before there was any more, cars and mansions and all of that, you wanted rappers that was nice to say that you was nice. And I’ve been able to say that pretty much everybody I looked up to as an artist, looks at me as a real rapper. I’m really out here doing my thing and that’s an amazing thing to carry,” he explained.

Furthermore, he highlighted several artists who are carrying the legacy of Pimp C. “Megan Thee Stallion embodies a lot of what Pimp C represented. I think that’s why it was so jarring for people to see it coming from a woman. I think Club God, BeatKing, I think he’s talking about a lot of the crazy, nasty sh-t Pimp would be talking about. I think there’s a lot of people that carry his beliefs, like [Big] Krit. Krit carries this passion of making Southern musical production at a very high level. Killer Mike has the care and concern of his community and his people that Pimp had,” he explained.

Jack Harlow Takes Aim At Podcasters On His Latest Track

Jack Harlow has become the latest rapper to take shots at the podcasting community, doing so on his feature for Dave & Lyrical Lemonade’s “Stop Giving Me Advice”. Harlow addresses the commentary community at several points on the track. “Have you ever spoken somethin’ into existence? Or do you just talk about other people’s lives?” Jack spits in the first verse. “All this unsolicited advice from the guys gettin’ booked for a quarter of my price. All this red carpet shit, brand partnerships, I must’ve let y’all forget that boy nice,” he added in the second verse.

As mentioned, Harlow is just the latest rapper to go after podcasters. Drake and Lil Baby have both released tracks going after the podcasting community. For Drake, he has taken that even further. He has pursued beef with Joe Budden and Charlamagne Tha God this year too.

Jack Harlow Roasted For NFL Halftime Show

Harlow hasn’t been having the best time as of late. He was thoroughly roasted for his low-key performance at a Thanksgiving NFL halftime show. No one quite understood the whole igloo thing for Harlow. It would make more sense at the icy Lambeau Field. However, Harlow was performing at the indoor, climate-controlled Ford Field while it was 50 degrees outside in Detroit. Furthermore, there was little to no production value as Harlow performed in front of what one Twitter used called “a set borrowed from a local middle school production of Frozen“.

This was a stark contrast to the day’s other performance. Dolly Parton put on a feast to rival any dinner table in America. Dressed in the iconic Cowboys cheerleader uniform, Dolly Did Dallas. She opened with two of her most-beloved classics – “Jolene” and “9 To 5”. However, she then stunned the crowd by pulling out amazing covers of Queen’s “We Are The Champions” and “We Will Rock You”. We would have loved to have seen Dolly hit “Don’t Stop Me Now” but she still killed both songs.

Playboi Carti Shouts Out The Weeknd For Promoting His Rollout: “U Got Family”

Playboi Carti’s album rollout is fully underway, and that means he’s more online, grateful, and excited than ever. Moreover, he’s shared a lot of people shouting him out on social media, whether it be fellow artists, fans, industry folks, and the like. The latest to promote the “Pull Up” rapper’s new material is The Weeknd, who shared Carti’s new song and music video on his Instagram Story. Whatever I AM MUSIC ends up being (most likely an album), the culture is incredibly excited for it. He also shared reactions and promotions from Travis Scott, Ken Carson, NAV, and more, and even shared an unanswered DM to Frank Ocean about when he’s going to drop.

“You don’t need promotion when u got family 00X0,” Playboi Carti wrote when reposting Abel Tesfaye’s shout-out of this new song. Furthermore, this is a new snippet entirely, and is not the one that he shared just hours before that is a bit more aggressive. Rather, this track is a more woozy and dark offering from the Atlanta rage pioneer, with a delivery more akin to his more measured moments on Whole Lotta Red, which is most of what defined Die Lit. As such, we already have various things pointing us in the direction of various past aesthetics of his that he will probably develop even further.

Playboi Carti & The Weeknd Shout Each Other Out As “Family”

With this frenetic and unexpectedly consistent online activity in mind, we’re sure that Playboi Carti will have more for us as the wait for his next album draws on. So far, it’s proved to be a successful experiment, especially paired with other unbelievable musical miracles like a Frank Ocean snippet that came out around the same time. Is it possible that these two notoriously offline, mystique-shrouded, and tease-heavy artists coordinated to address their absence at the same time? It’s possible, but that also might just be the head-canon talking, even though that picture of their DMs surely made many people’s hearts skip a beat.

Regardless, what do you think of this new song and how fellow music superstars have promoted it? Are you looking forward to this new January release or was the wait too long for you to keep any hype? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section down below. Also, stay posted on HNHH for the latest news and updates on Playboi Carti and The Weeknd.

Sexyy Red’s Baby Bump Is The Center Of Her New Photos, Shows Off Pregnancy Journey

Sexyy Red is documenting her pregnancy journey with a lot of versatility on social media, something she deserves props for. We’ve gotten new pictures, performances, wild statements, jokes… it seems like she knows how to tackle it from every angle while still being respectful and true to herself. Moreover, the “Daddy” MC recently shared some new pictures of her baby bump, and you can see that it’s getting quite big already. However, with a rainbow-colored lace top and pants, you can also tell that she’s not letting go of her style anytime soon despite the changes happening with her body, which is great and heartening to see.

Furthermore, Sexyy Red announced her pregnancy around the time that her SZA and Drake collab “Rich Baby Daddy” came out. That was a bit of an ironic twist, and she recently opened up about how that song manifested. “Me and Drake already was cool ever since he brought me on his tour,” the St. Louis MC bluntly stated. “We talked about doing songs, then he put SZA on it.” Seems like there wasn’t much to unpack there, but sometimes, there are no big stories or wild attachments to hits: they just happen because the talent and opportunity is there.

Sexyy Red’s New Baby Bump Pics: Take A Look

Regardless, some people are actually quite concerned that Sexyy Red is starting a family. Well, those people are just Illuminati conspiracy theorists that took her recent Instagram Live session a little too seriously. It’s always funny to see them roll around once another celebrity makes it super big, because it’s almost always the same arguments and empty connections. At least Big Sexyy is taking it quite comically and as a good sport, because we can’t imagine they avoid being annoying for long.

Meanwhile, with the deluxe version of Hood Hottest Princess out now, we’re sure that 2024 will also be a big year for her. Maybe the 25-year-old changes up her style, maybe we haven’t even seen the peak of her hit-making potential, or perhaps she’s just going to take it easy to be with her family and child. Either way, we’re very happy for her. For more news and the latest updates on Sexyy Red, stay logged into HNHH.

Shaq Gifts GAWNE A Custom Rolls-Royce After Collab, Rapper Thanks Him

Shaquille O’Neal is passionate about many things and many industries, but his love of music is among his most well-documented passions. Whether it’s EDM or hip-hop, he’s always down to engage with the game, and he recently gave a rare rap verse to Chicago rapper GAWNE for his track “CHAOS.” Released on Friday (December 8), it’s a song and music video that came about after the former Laker sent the rapper a DM, and they eventually linked up. However, what he probably didn’t expect was for Shaw to gift him a $1 million custom Rolls-Royce after they wrapped up their video shoot, but such are the surprises you get when you work with such a legend.

“Shaq, man, it’s the craz*est day of my life,” GAWNE says in a clip uploaded to his social media pages. It shows off the maroon-tinged whip in the background, and you can tell by the smile on the MC’s face that he may just be right in his assessment. “Shaq just gave me a f***ing Rolls. Goddamn, man. God bless you, Shaq.” “It’s yours, my boy. Now I gotta take an Uber,” he replied.

While speaking to Oak Park, GAWNE remarked on what meeting Shaq was like, and what he took away the most from their interactions. “I was blown away by Shaq’s passion for rap,” he shared. “And him making his return to rap with me is such an honor. He was so passionate and loves rap so much, in every single take he was rapping his heart out. It was such a magical experience. Also, I want to shout from the mountain tops how good of a guy Shaquille O’Neal is, as well. As cool as making a song with him was, what I admire the most about him is his character and him as an individual.”

6ix9ine Scam Almost Went Down, Donz Stacks Says, But He Chose Not To Do It

Even years after his initial rise and fall in the rap game, 6ix9ine is still a hot topic of conversation around the community. Moreover, New York drill rapper Donz Stacks recently appeared on No Jumper with Adam22 and Skinnyfromthe9 to talk about the rainbow-haired MC, among many other topics. One of the things they discussed was an opportunity that Stacks had to scam him out of some cash, which he said his entourage was a big fan of. However, he didn’t end up doing so, and also spoke on the implications of him working with a “snitch.” Donz stood by his clean record in that regard, and said that people just have to get their bag in more ways than one.

Another 6ix9ine topic that they discussed was his controversial collaboration with Kodak Black. Well, that was controversial for Yak and less so for Tekashi, but still, it’s something that even caused beef to ensue between various rap figures involved. In fact, the No Jumper conversation even points to 6ix9ine’s manager, Wack 100, wanting to sign Donz Stacks. However, despite this initial wish, because of how his client’s relationship with Donz soured, Stacks thinks that he wouldn’t be able to be as warm and welcoming now.

Donz Stacks On 6ix9ine: Watch

Meanwhile, this is all the least of the “GOOBA” artist’s worries right now, as he’s dealing will legal trouble both in the States and overseas. For example, a court recently ordered him to pay $10 million to an alleged assault victim because he failed to show up in court. Not only that, but the alleged victim claims that 6ix9ine tried to hide all his assets and deliberately block her attempts to get compensation for her troubles. Whether he eventually coughs it up is a question for another time.

As Tekashi waits in the Dominican Republic, where he’s supposed to stay for six months because of other legal trouble, it seems like he’s building up a lot to answer for. While his hype as an artist died down, we’re sure that he will always have an antic up his sleeve or some big case that will draw a lot of interest. We’ll see if the New York provocateur ends up switching this formula up. For more news and the latest updates on 6ix9ine, log back into HNHH.

Nicki Minaj Thanks J. Cole For “Pink Friday 2” Collab In Emotional Post

Nicki Minaj took to social media to publicly thank J. Cole for working with her on the Pink Friday 2 track, “Let Me Calm Down”. “This man J. Cole had a 2 hour talk with me. 2. Two!!!! Didn’t realize I was sitting on a therapist couch but ummm😩2 days later I heard this verse & couldn’t stop crying,” Minaj began her post. “In a world where we know EXACTLY how & WHEN to tear each other apart, there are still Kings & Queens who know how to put ppl back together. Patch them up. Heal them. Empower them. Understand them. Listen to them. Make them do the most beautiful thing a human being can do,” she continued.

Furthermore, she also highlighted how the verse reminded her of the first time that her son smiled at her. “After having #papabear I couldn’t wait for the day he’d smile @ me. First smile? It was one day when I blew a kiss @ him. I said “papa mmuuuaahhhhh!!!!” then? Time froze. Froze. He smiled? He smiled. At Me? Looking directly in my eyes? Yes. Me? Held back the tears & just kept doing a billion more times. I cried later,” Minaj noted. Be sure to read her full post below.

Charlamagne Tha God Thinks Nicki Minaj Needed More Rollout For Pink Friday 2

Pink Friday 2 is already receiving high praise from across the industry. However, Charlamagne Tha God thought that the album didn’t get enough hype before release. “I hate that this album didn’t have a bigger rollout. We knew it was coming out but it’s Nicki Minaj. Whoever she’s signed to…Nicki needed and deserved a bigger rollout. She got records on this album. Why wouldn’t a single come out? Why wouldn’t a big video come out?” Charlemagne said on The Breakfast Club. Later in the conversation, he accused Nicki’s label of not having enough of a plan for the release. He noted this was especially apparent when she had to move the release date due to ColleGrove 2.

Pink Friday 2 did have two singles preceding its release. However, both were released well before the album was either announced or its release date revealed. Furthermore, as Charlamagne said, the album is stacked with big-name features such as Drake, and Future. However, the only thing those tracks received before the album was controversy. Additionally, while the album was also preceded by the AI fan collaboration “Gag City”, Charlamagne is right in arguing that Pink Friday 2 got a surprisingly muted release.

Finesse2tymes’ Beef With His Brother Explained, Rapper Says He’s Jealous

Finesse2tymes recently took to Instagram Live to address some unfortunate conflict within his family and set the record straight. Moreover, he spoke on his relationship with his brother, which– if you didn’t already hear– is apparently much more strained than you would hope or assume. Apparently, the Memphis MC’s brother maintains, he hired goons to jump him, which isn’t really something you would expect a family member to do for another. After a lot of discussion on the matter and some more social media subs, the rapper finally came through with a Live session addressing the whole thing.

“I’ma give y’all what happened yesterday,” Finesse2tymes’ explanation began. “Everybody that got a chain around me, if you got a chain, you earned it. I ain’t talking about shooting no n***a or robbing no n***a. If you got a chain, you got it because you put forth an effort in this business. I wanna see you with a chain because you bring value to the table. I wanna see you with the sports brands because you really putting on for this s**t. This n***a mad that he don’t got a chain, y’all. He just came back around to me not even a month ago. That’s what this n***a mad for. If I get a six, seven bedroom Airbnb, and I got workers who actually working, who actually taking care of the business, guess what I’ma do? I’ma make sure they get a room first. The ones who working.

“I’m a businessman, I stand on business, I stand on all business,” Finesse2tymes went on. “Family will bring you down when it comes to business. Blood will literally take you and squeeze you dry. And when you fall, they won’t be there for you no more. They ain’t gon’ let you sleep on the couch, they ain’t gon’ let you borrow 50 dollars for no gas money. Quit acting like y’all don’t know what family is. Yesterday, the n***a felt a way because he didn’t get no room. Him and his b***h, he wanna lay up and f**k– I’m handling business.

“So I get word, ’cause they try not to let that s**t make it to me,” he concluded. “I got a chain of command. But it make it to me that this n***a is bodyguarding somebody else’s room. These are people that I pay out of my pocket that work, that I’m in contract with and s**t like that. I check his b***h temperature off the muzzle. ‘Aye, who you work for?’ ‘Cause this the b***h’s second time doing this s**t. No, n***a, what I say goes! When I say something, that’s what it is, n***a. That’s his problem: he wanna be me so bad. Ain’t no ifs, ands, or buts about that, my n***a.” For more news and the latest updates on Finesse2tymes, check back in with HNHH.
