Shaq Gifts GAWNE A Custom Rolls-Royce After Collab, Rapper Thanks Him

Shaquille O’Neal is passionate about many things and many industries, but his love of music is among his most well-documented passions. Whether it’s EDM or hip-hop, he’s always down to engage with the game, and he recently gave a rare rap verse to Chicago rapper GAWNE for his track “CHAOS.” Released on Friday (December 8), it’s a song and music video that came about after the former Laker sent the rapper a DM, and they eventually linked up. However, what he probably didn’t expect was for Shaw to gift him a $1 million custom Rolls-Royce after they wrapped up their video shoot, but such are the surprises you get when you work with such a legend.

“Shaq, man, it’s the craz*est day of my life,” GAWNE says in a clip uploaded to his social media pages. It shows off the maroon-tinged whip in the background, and you can tell by the smile on the MC’s face that he may just be right in his assessment. “Shaq just gave me a f***ing Rolls. Goddamn, man. God bless you, Shaq.” “It’s yours, my boy. Now I gotta take an Uber,” he replied.

Shaq & GAWNE’s “CHAOS”: Stream

While speaking to Oak Park, GAWNE remarked on what meeting Shaq was like, and what he took away the most from their interactions. “I was blown away by Shaq’s passion for rap,” he shared. “And him making his return to rap with me is such an honor. He was so passionate and loves rap so much, in every single take he was rapping his heart out. It was such a magical experience. Also, I want to shout from the mountain tops how good of a guy Shaquille O’Neal is, as well. As cool as making a song with him was, what I admire the most about him is his character and him as an individual.”

Fat Joe Gets Custom Rolls-Royce, Paid $750K For Demanding Requests

Fat Joe’s success as a rapper and businessman puts him in a unique position when compared to other hip-hop titans. As a veteran of the game, he is exactly the kind of person with the knowledge, funds, and self-awareness to consistently give back to his community. For example, the New York MC recently made a massive donation to schools in the Bronx for their back-to-school season. Through this and other endeavors, he’s making sure to share his wealth and continue his status as a rap ambassador or cultural host, in a way. That being said, don’t think for a second that the Terror Squad boss doesn’t spend that hard-earned cash on treats for himself, too.

Moreover, he purchased a $750K custom Rolls-Royce four months ago that will be in his hands this weekend. It comes from Will Castro from Unique Whips on Speedvision, and Fat Joe’s new whip took over a month to complete. After he saw a model car’s wide body in Dubai and wanted a similar one, he FaceTimed Will- from what Castro told TMZ Hip Hop– and asked him for a new build. This is the third Rolls-Royce that Unique Whips’ team crafted meticulously for the 53-year-old.

Furthermore, Will reportedly remarked to TMZ Hip Hop that this Rolls-Royce job for Fat Joe was a difficult one that he and his team faced. Apparently, he’s very particular about his instructions, wants, needs, and about the high standard of quality and demand he holds everything to. For example, all the kits for the car were made to order and delivered from Europe to meet the very best that Joe asked for. He spent $100K on its body, whereas Unique Whips installed 24-inch wheels and tires as a plus.

Not only that, but Will Castro will self-deliver the vehicle to the South Bronx native. He also contributed to the carbon work, bodywork, and paint job for this car. After Joe gifted Bill Clinton a pair of his new Air Force 1s, it seems he got a gift of his own. 2Pac’s $200K Custom Crown Ring To Be Auctioned

2Pac’s custom ring is scheduled to go up for auction later this month. The ring is comprised of gold, diamonds, and rubies, is shaped like a crown and was created in honor of his engagement to Kidada Jones. It’s estimated to bring in between $200K-300K when it goes up for auction July 18. The ring will be displayed at Sotheby’s New York from July 18-24.

2Pac wore the self-designed ring to the 1996 MTV Video Music Awards just days before he was shot. According to Sotheby’s, 2Pac typically wore the ring on his left ring finger. It will be auctioned as part of a special series in celebration of the 50th anniversary of hip hop.

In an interview last month with The Art of Dialogue, 2Pac’s biological father Billy Garland questioned the role of the U.S. government in his son’s death. “The government gave him the deal. [2Pac] was being tailed by the government the night of his assassination. He was being tailed by the government while in the studio,” he explained, “that’s a known fact.” Garland also spoke on Dear Mama: The Saga of Afeni & Tupac Shakur, revealing that he wasn’t pleased with his interview for the docuseries.

Garland explained being talked into an interview by the director of the docuseries, Allen Hughes. “We did an interview for about two hours,” he explained. Garland continued, “After I saw the interview in the documentary, I was slightly disappointed, let’s just say that. I didn’t like it. It was more about something else, than about 2Pac, if you know what I’m saying. If I knew it was about Dear Mama I might’ve still did it, but I probably wouldn’t have. Not for nothing.” He additionally refuted claims that his son was bipolar, claiming 2Pac’s behavior was a reaction to “betrayal” he experienced throughout his life.
