For R&B fans, Summer Walker is among the best of the best. But when she isn’t delivering soulful music she’s also got plenty of time to be a mother. She showed off the glamorous side of parenting when she posted a new photoshoot with her kids to Instagram last night. The three pictures show Summer in a daunting white dress and large white coat holding her two young children. The post quickly racked up likes and attention from thousands of fans. Even some fellow celebs like Saweetie popped in to show Summer some love.

Summer Walker has had a pretty eventful summer so far and very little of it has to do with music. Much of it revolves around various controversies between her and Lil Meech. The first splash of drama came almost a month ago when a woman sporting Lil Meech’s chain claimed that the pair were having an affair. Summer slid into her DMs to confront her about the situation and it had all the potential of going very toxic very fast. Thankfully the pair seem to have worked through it pretty quickly. They were spotted in gorgeous matching all-black fits on the BET Awards red carpet last month.

Summer Walker released her new EP Clear 2: Soft Life back in May. The project received tons of praise from critics for her great singing and the intimate lyrical content. It also had two major features from rappers J. Cole and Childish Gambino. The song’s featuring both artists, Cole in particular have both become moderate hits.

Summer Walker also makes an appearance on the new Kali Uchis album Red Moon In Venus. The two R&B darlings team up on a glamorous track called “Deserve Me.” It’s the first time the pair have teamed up on a song together but they sound like an absolutely perfect match. Finesse2tymes’ Mother Claims He Didn’t Snitch: “He Did His Time”

Earlier this week, a social media user accused Finesse2tymes of “ratting” on their brother, offering up some paperwork that allegedly backed up their claims. The rapper then hopped on Instagram Live, telling his followers that the allegations aren’t true. “See, you n****s ain’t smart enough. You can’t get no paperwork from when a n***a was a juvenile,” he explained. He continued, “Do you know how many n****s told on me as a juvenile and I can’t go get paperwork to prove it? I can’t pay for it … If it’s true, go look it up! Go pay for it. Go read up on it and then get back at me.”

Now, Finesse2tymes mother has also come to the rapper’s defense. During a livestream, she claimed that her son served 15 years in prison when “he could have” snitched. She called the paperwork “fake,” and said “social media a mess for real.” Finesse2tymes’ mother went on to tell haters that they’re jealous of her son, claiming that they’re only spreading rumors for clout. “He did his time,” she continued.

Finesse2tymes’ Mother Defends Him

The rapper’s mother went on to tell viewers they “better stop believing everything” they see on social media. She explained her heated response, saying, “[Her] baby been gone all this time,” serving his sentences “like a man.” Finesse2tymes was released from prison in July of 2022, after serving around five years for gun charges related to a 2017 shooting in Arkansas. Prior to that, he did six years for two felony counts of aggravated robbery and was released in 2016.

Finesse2tymes has made headlines in recent months for beefing with Erica Banks, showing off his three girlfriends, and a deadly stampede that took place at one of his shows with GloRilla. The stampede tragically took the lives of three concert attendees in March of this year. In May, he also roasted a Tennessee club promoter for failing to pay him. Many users called the situation “karma,” as accusations that he sent an impersonator to perform in his place circulated earlier this year.

Jay-Z’s mother, Gloria Carter, recently tied the knot with her longtime partner, Roxanne Wilshire, and it was a star-studded affair. Of course, Hov, his wife Beyoncé, and their family were among the many A-listers in attendance at the ceremony. However, that was far from the end of the guest list, with a lot of other celebrities pulling up to join the heartwarming festivities. Tyler Perry, Kelly Rowland, Robin Roberts, Corey Gamble, and Beyoncé’s mother Tina Knowles went to the wedding. Apparently, they wrapped things up at around 11am, so it was probably a very fun time with all those big names in there, and with the biggest ones’ celebration.

Furthermore, Jay-Z and Gloria Carter have always had an incredibly strong bond and consistently show each other all the love and support in the world. Back in 2017, Gloria came out on his 2017 4:44 track “Smile,” speaking on “living in the shadows” as a homosexual woman. Whenever either of them are celebrated by their peers or the world at large, they are by each other’s sides. For example, she received an award from the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation for telling her personal story.

Beyoncé & Daughter Blue Ivy At Jay-Z’s Mother’s Wedding

During the ceremony for this honor, Jay-Z thanked Gloria Carter for allowing him to relay her story to his listeners. She had thankful words of her own to share as well. “Thanks to you, to all the people whose lives I touched, for your support, by just telling my truth,” Carter shared. “‘Smile’ became a reality because I shared with my son who I am. Not that people didn’t know; I was just someone they didn’t talk about but they loved me anyway. But for me, this was the first time that I spoke to anyone about who I really am.

“Love gave me the courage to take the power that I allowed other people to have over my life for fear of them revealing my secret that wasn’t really a secret,” she continued. “Here I am, I’m loving, I’m respectful, I’m productive, and I’m a human being who has a right to love who I love. Metro Boomin Pens Heartfelt Message On 1-Year Anniversary Of His Mom’s Death

Metro Boomin reflected on the passing of his mother, Leslie Joanne Wayne, on Instagram, Saturday, one year after her death. The producer’s stepfather killed Wayne in a murder-suicide in June 2022. She raised Metro and his siblings in St. Louis, Missouri, and reportedly encouraged him to pursue a career in music.

“I can’t believe today makes 1 year since we have lost You my Love. You were the best Mother and friend that anyone could possibly even pray for. You dedicated every second and every ounce of your being to the betterment of your 5 children and our family as a whole. Our time was cut short but I’m still so grateful for all that you have taught me and the values, lessons, and morals You have instilled in each of us,” Metro began in his post. The lengthy passage captions a series of photos of Metro and his mother.

He further wrote: “This shit hurts so much having to live everyday knowing I won’t hear your voice or see your face again, but based on everything you taught me, I’m confident and know that this new reality and experience will 100% no doubt continue to shape me into a better man than I would have ever been able to become with You down here in the physical form. You’ve always said that I’m a hero to not only my younger brothers and sisters but to millions of others out there from afar.”

Metro concluded: “So I just look at this as part of my origin story and continue to move forward with the mission as I know You would want me to. Every time someone tells me that my will to keep going and striving in the midst of such a tragedy inspires them to keep going despite their trials, it reminds me that I’m on the right path and your passing wasn’t for nothing. It hurts that I don’t get your calls and texts and screenshots every time I achieve something new anymore but I’m grateful to have the many many manyyyyy ones from You already on the 10+ year journey leading up to now. Cam’ron Says He’s Finishing A Song For His Late Mother

Cam’ron says that he’s going to finish working on a song for his late mother, Fredericka Giles. He revealed that he’s spending Mother’s Day in the studio working on the tribute, Sunday, on Instagram. The New York rapper explained that he’s been working on the track for three months.

“I know i make this shit look easy…but it ain’t,” Cam captioned a photo of himself with his mother as well as a teary-eyed video from the studio. “I miss my mom man.. been tryna finish this song for 3 months and I just start crying before I can finish the first verse. Ima finish this shit today tho. Love and miss you mom.”

Cam first announced that his mom passed away at the age of 67 back in February. “In 2007 my mom had a stroke leaving her partially paralyzed on her left side and a speech impediment, but if you followed her or was her friend on social media you would never know any of that,” Cam’ron wrote on social media at the time. “She was witty, funny, intelligent, sarcastic and out spoken. People would say ‘cam I know you’re writing ya moms captions’ and I wasn’t. I would see my moms captions and say ‘where are you learning this?’ (Lingo) she’s [sic] tell me ‘be easy lil homie’ lol. So I’m so sad to inform you guys of her passing.”

He continued: “I wasn’t going to share this because I’m in a lot of pain and Didn’t think it was anyones business. But thinking about it, I really wanted to thank you all for making my moms days and nights for the last decade or so. Social media was her go-to for, entertainment, news, general gossip etc. She would send me anything she thought I should know, about me or not, good or bad.”

Missy Elliott Says Getting Her Mom Out Of An Abusive Relationship “Kept Me Going”

Missy Elliott recently reflected on the “strong women” she’s met in the industry and how she was inspired to work as hard as she has to become a legend in a “male-dominated industry.” Responding to a fan’s question on Twitter, earlier this week, Elliott explained that helping out her mother, who was in an abusive relationship at the time, inspired her early in her career.

“I wanna know like what inspired her and what was her drive to remain persistent in a male dominated industry at the time,” a fan of the rapper tweeted. Missy Elliott responded to the post, saying that she knows “many strong women in the industry be4 me that made it through & my mom was in a abusive relationship so I told her I would make it so I could get her out of that situation. [And] I would make sure she’d never have to work again that’s what really kept me going.”

Missy Elliott’s recent tweet comes as she continues to work on her music career. Earlier this month, her longtime collaborator, Timbaland, revealed that the two are working on a new album set to arrive this summer. “We’ve got a lot of songs we’re gonna start recording soon, and my dream is to have it out around her birthday in July,” he told Variety. “I want it to sound how she looks — she looks incredible right now. We both look like we 19 again. I know how Missy works: It’s got to be new and fun — or maybe not so much new as kind of underground, and everything is upbeat.”

He further said: “Some of it has a kind of Latin feel to it, almost a Bad Bunny effect, some of it’s kinda like underground Brazilian funk. People gonna eat it up — and it might reach just a different demographic of people. It’s like it’s her doing… not reggaeton but Missy-ton.”

Blueface’s Mom Goes Scorched Earth After Rapper Disowns Her

Blueface is currently going through a lot. Overall, his relationship with Chrisean Rock is always going through some form of turmoil. However, he seems to be doing a good job of navigating everything. Moreover, he has warmed up to the idea of having a child with Chrisean, which is definitely good to see. Although, his relationship with his mother, Karissa Saffold, is a different situation entirely. While speaking with RapTV, the rapper went so far as to disown his mom, claiming that she is very weird.

“Fuck that lady. I don’t have a mom,” Blueface explained. “She’s weird, she’s strange. I don’t know what her motive is, her angle. I don’t know what she’s trying to accomplish with her outreaches and whatever she does. I really don’t care for her. She’s not in my best interest so what can I do with that. [It doesn’t make me sad that she’s not involved.] Not at all. I feel much less stress, much less microscopic [without] somebody clocking me. ”

Saffold has been very vocal about Blueface in the past. Recently, she even commented on the side of his private parts, which certainly is in line with being “weird.” As for Blue’s most recent comments, Saffold was not feeling them. In a response, she went scorched earth at her son. “He said F his own son birthday and I’m strange,” Saffold wrote. “Boy I’m not even praying for you no more. Get someone else to do it. This ninja said F everyone but the people who leeching off him. You are the world’s biggest weirdo. When they done with you I pray you ask God for forgiveness.” Additionally, she claimed that Blueface doesn’t have a friend in the world and that she is officially washing her hands of him.

Overall, these are some very strong comments from a mother. Either way, it seems like Blueface is distancing himself because it is simply the healthiest option for himself.
