Jonathan Majors Dropped by Marvel Following Guilty Verdict

Jonathan Majors is no longer facing an assault and defamation lawsuit. His ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbari brought the suit, which has been dropped.

According to Variety, a joint notice from legal representation for Majors and Jabbari filed a notice stating, “all claims against Defendant in the above-captioned action are hereby dismissed with prejudice.”

The suit was filed in March, citing Majors painting Jabbari as a liar and having a history of domestic abuse, which followed a third-degree assault and second-degree harassment conviction. His sentence was a 52-week domestic violence program.

Jonathan Majors and Meagan Good have entered the next step of their relationship: they are engaged. The two revealed their engagement on the red carpet of the EBONY Power 100 Gala in Los Angeles.

Speaking with an E! reporter, Good revealed the two were “in love,” and Majors doubled down, stating the actress is “the one.” They then flexed the diamond ring and posed together on the red carpet.

Jonathan Majors and Meagan Good got into a relationship in the midst of the former’s legal troubles. Overall, Majors was forced to stand trial in an assault case stemming from an alleged incident with his former girlfriend. Although Majors did not win the case entirely, he has been able to get through this hard part in his career thanks to Good’s support. She has been by his side through thick and thin, and he has always shown appreciation for what she has done.

However, over the past week or so, there have been all sorts of rumors about a breakup between the two. Some have proclaimed that Majors and Good had broken up and that it was all over. These rumors came following reports that Good was paying all of Majors’ bills and expenses. Subsequently, a representative for the couple came out and confirmed that they are both doing just fine, and that there is absolutely nothing to worry about here. The reps’ words were ultimately confirmed last night at the Ebony Power 100 Gala, where Jonathan Majors and Meagan Good announced that they are engaged.

This is obviously a massive step in their relationship, and one that many fans probably were not expecting. However, it does make sense that Majors would want to make this move, especially if Good is holding him down in all aspects of life. The two have been completely inseparable over this past year, and there is no doubt that their relationship is burning bright.

As for what’s next for Majors, no one really knows. Following his exit from Marvel and all of its properties, Majors has not been able to find additional work. Once you find yourself blackballed, it is difficult to get out of that status. Although perhaps in time, Hollywood will slowly let him back in. At this point, anything can happen. However, it does seem very clear that Majors is eager to try and continue his career, by any means necessary.

Lately, rumors that Jonathan Majors and Meagan Good are no longer an item have been floating around online. According to a rep for the actress and model, however, there is absolutely zero truth to them. The rep recently cleared things up with TMZ, revealing that they’re still very much together. They even reportedly have plans to attend a big event together in just a few days.

“They are not broken up. In fact, they will be attending the Ebony 100 Gala together,” the rep said. The outlet notes that speculation about the pair’s relationship status started with a guest on “The Rickey Smiley Morning Show” claiming they broke up. Luckily, this was nothing but a rumor, and they’re still going strong.

The pair have been dating since 2023, and Good has stuck by Majors throughout his legal issues. In December of last year, he was found guilty of one count of misdemeanor third-degree assault and one count of second-degree harassment of his ex, Grace Jabbari. Despite ongoing scrutiny of their relationship, Good was spotted supporting him in court. According to a source who spoke with The Jasmine Brand, she’s even allegedly been financially supporting Majors.

At the Hollywood Unlocked Impact Awards in August, Majors couldn’t help but get emotional as he reflected on his relationship with Good while accepting the Perseverance Award. “I love you, I love you beyond all limit,” he told Good, who was equally emotional in the crowd. “With all my strength, with all my heart, I love you. You done carried me so, so, so, so many nights.” The month prior, he expressed interest in proposing to her during a chat with TMZ, though it remains unclear when exactly that will take place.

Meagan Good allegedly pays for “everything” of Jonathan Majors’ including his child support and a $75,000 dog training bill. The Jasmine Brand spoke with a source close to the couple for an article on Monday in which they made several claims about them.

“Meagan pays for everything. They really wanted this dog, and she got stuck paying the $75,000 training bill. Like, that’s crazy!” the source said before claiming that Meagan also pays child support for owes for a daughter from a previous relationship. “No one knows what Meagan sees in this guy. If things keep up this way, she may not be able to pay her mortgage,” they added.

Good previously admitted that her friends warned her against dating Majors during an interview with Hoda and Jenna for TODAY. Prior to the start of their relationship, Majors’ ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbari accused him of abuse. “At the end of the day, one thing I know is that I can always look in the mirror when I trust my spirit, when I trust God, when I ask God, and when I move to the beat of my own drum,” she said at the time. “I can always look and say, ‘Okay, I’m proud of that.’ No matter whatever happens, I have peace in my heart and have harmony in my heart. I take everyone I love’s opinion into account, but at the end of the day, I’m the one who has to have to live my life… I want to be responsible for the choices I make and want to live the life that I want to live.”

He was being recognized for the “Perseverance Award”, which is a pretty fitting category for him to take home considering everything he’s been though. Of course, that includes things like his domestic abuse case that landed him in a 52-week domestic violence intervention program. This in turn led him to being removed from the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe), although he’s made a return as of late.

Even with all of this self-inflicted damage, Jonathan Majors has committed to reviving his career and public image. You could probably attribute a lot of that to him meeting fellow actor Meagan Good last May, just a month after his sentencing. Obviously, she was able to see past all of his baggage and things appear to be stronger than ever between these two lovebirds. Jonathan Majors and Meagan Good have been dating since May 2023, when Majors went on trial for domestic abuse against his ex-girlfriend. The court convicted Majors of assault and harassment in April. He was sentenced to a yearlong domestic violence program. Since then, Majors has tried to get back into the good graces of fans and the greater public. Majors danced along to Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” at the after party for Good’s new movie. Fans memed the video heavily, but it showed that Majors and Good like being in each other’s company.

In fact, Majors likes being in Good’s company so much that he revealed plans to propose to her. TMZ caught up with Majors in West Hollywood on Tuesday afternoon and asked him the question. “Of course! Of course!” said Majors. He did not go into detail about how much they’ve spoken about marriage, or if they’ve even spoken about it at all. However, he confirmed that both families are in favor of them tying the knot.

Meagan Good has enjoyed a career renaissance in recent years. She divorced from longtime husband DeVon Franklin in 2022 and recently starred in Tyler Perry’s new movie Divorce In The Black. While promoting the film, Good revealed that Perry was the first producer to pay her more than her previous acting opportunities did. Good also stars in the Amazon Prime Video series Harlem. The third season began filming in February, with the release expected for the end of 2024 or early 2025.

Meagan Good Breaks Silence On Backlash From Hugging Michael Ealy

Meagan Good evoked the wrath of the internet during a recent meet and greet. The actress reunited with former co-star Michael Ealy, and greeted him by giving him a long hug. Ealy proceeded to lift her off the ground during said hug. The issue, at least according to people online, though, was that Ealy did not talk or interact with Good’s boyfriend, Jonathan Majors. He greeted everybody else in the group except for the Creed III star. The interaction was widely viewed as a rude gesture towards Majors.

The backlash reached such a fever pitch, in fact, that Meagan Good addressed the video on July 15. The actress took to the Shade Room comment section to set the record straight. According to her, there isn’t any problem between Ealy and Majors. She believes the video was simply taken out of context and over analyzed. “Smh super unfortunate how people don’t have anything better to do than project on others,” she wrote. “And intentionally perpetuate negative misguided commentary on life snippets they have no real context to. Moreover, actor Michael Ealy recently went viral online because of the way that he hugged Good at the L.A. PowerPlayers Mix & Mingle bash and literally swept her right off her feet… right in front of Majors. Then, he dapped up rapper D Smoke and his wife, and didn’t even greet the Creed III actor in the clip below before they all posed for a picture together. And the God I serve has put me in a position where I’ve had to embody that word more than I wished or wanted.
