Los Angeles Rallies To Try And Save Iconic Mural

Los Angeles has long been a hub of entertainment greatness. The Lakers have called the city home since 1960. The Dodgers have been in LA since 1958. The city is also the beating heart of the film industry, anchored by iconic Hollywood. However, perhaps the city’s greatest contribution to entertainment has been the music industry.

In particular, rap and hip hop would not be the genres they are today without Los Angeles. The city was, and still is, the hub of the West Coast scene. This was particularly important in the 1980s and 1990s with the rise of the East Coast-West Coast beef that pitted New York against Los Angeles. However, a mural memorializing that iconic history is now at risk.

Fans Fight To Save Mural Featuring Snoop and Tupac

Street artist Sloe Motions took to Instagram with a passionate plea to save one of their most iconic pieces. “SAVE THE LA MURAL IN BELLFLOWER! we recently received a notice to take down this mural in the city of Bellflower. I want to reach out to everyone n help get the word spread to keep this up. This is our culture and these are our city’s, government policies n politics shouldn’t have any effect on the peoples art or expression. I’m tired of the cities tryna stop artist and make things hard on us when we are the ones giving the inspiration to the community’s n giving back in a real way. this mural is also on the owners property.” read some of the lengthy caption.

The mural in question, located on the side Speedy Auto Tint on Woodruff Avenue, depicts a number of LA icons. Most notably, these icons are legendary Dodgers announcer Vin Scully, Lakers legend Kobe Bryant, Snoop Dogg, and Tupac Shakur. A petition launched in defense of the mural notes that “At Speedy Auto Tint we are proud of our mural because we are a Latino/ family-owned small business, and we believe this mural represents the city of Los Angeles and the culture it embodies.” Bellflower city officials have stated that the mural, “Does not comply with the established mural standards in the Municipal Code, and we have received complaints about that fact.”

Rihanna Drops $21 Million On Los Angeles “Mansion In The Sky”

It looks like Rihanna and A$AP Rocky’s family now has a new luxury destination to call home. Moreover, news recently broke of the Barbadian superstar purchasing a 9,300-square-foot property in Los Angeles for $21 million, according to the New York Post. Apparently, it’s called “the Mansion in the Sky,” because the Century high-rise takes up an entire 40th floor with its four bedrooms and is “above the city like a floating palace.” Of course, this is one of many grand and expensive properties that form RiRi’s real estate portfolio, which she built over years to diversify her money and flip it if necessary.

In other Rihanna news, she continues to show off her unborn baby boy and her bump pretty much everywhere she goes, whether she wants people to notice or not. Most recently, she fully displayed her body in a new video promo for Fenty Beauty, and previously shared adorable Easter photos with the fam. No matter what the occasion is, Rihanna will probably always impress. Not only are people gushing over her family, but they eagerly await her next album after years of teasing.

Meanwhile, his reflections on fatherhood indicate that the couple will share a wonderful life with their kids. “It’s beautiful,” he shared at the time. “Honestly, I think fatherhood gives me more time to do exactly what I want. I don’t have time for anything that isn’t priorities. It helps you prioritize, honestly. I love it. Everything is just based around my newfound love for being a dad and a family man. The Weeknd & Girlfriend Simi Khadra Spent Their Long Weekend Partying In LA

Throughout his career, Abel Tesfaye – better known as The Weeknd – has been linked to plenty of beautiful women. His most high-profile relationships, of course, were with supermodel Bella Hadid, and Disney Channel alum Selena Gomez. Aside from those, the Canadian has also been linked to Yovanna Ventura, Chantel Jeffries, Rosalia, and Angelia Jolie. Most recently, though, his heart reportedly belongs to Simi Khadra, who he’s rumoured to have been dating since August 2022.

As UsWeekly notes, the DJ and the singer first made headlines in April 2021, but it wasn’t until nearly a year later that sources saw them smooching in public. Since then, Tesfaye and his girl have stepped out on multiple occasions together. This past weekend, they were photographed in California, leaving the Roger Room in West Hollywood during the early hours of Sunday (April 9) morning. The Weeknd wore an almost all-black outfit, consisting of casual pants, a t-shirt, and a jacket. To complete the outfit, he added a black and white cap, and thick-soled boots on his feet.

Khadra did her best to coordinate, also leaning into the dark side with a lengthy black sweater and boots. It remains unclear if the couple spent the evening with any other celebrities, or were simply enjoying one another’s company. Things have been relatively quiet on The Weeknd’s front as of late, though he did deliver the long-awaited deluxe version of his highly favoured Starboy album just last month. Among the handful of new tracks comes the Ariana Grande-assisted remix of “Die For You,” which has been in constant rotation for many this spring.

Besides his music, Abel Tesfaye has also been hard at work on his upcoming HBO series, The Idol. The singer-turned-actor stars opposite Lily Rose-Depp as a cult leader who crosses paths with an impressionable young popstar and subsequently changes her life – not necessarily for the better. Kendall Jenner and Bad Bunny were spotted yet again after the much-discussed new pairing had a night out on the town. Moreover, people saw them leave together in a car, driving away from Bird Streets Club in West Hollywood early on Sunday morning (March 26). Apparently, they were out on a dinner meet-up before with Kylie, Zach Bia Russell Westbrook, and Timothée Chalamet. Furthermore, this comes about a week after many fans thought that Benito Martínez Ocasio finally got hit with the Kardashian curse. That’s because his ex-girlfried sued him for $40 million for using her voice for a song ad-lib in various tracks, without her permission.

Regardless, many speculated (or pretty much reacted to the fact) that the Grammy-winning artist flaunted his new boo. For those unaware, he apparently dissed Kendall’s ex Devin Booker on the track “Coco Chanel,” where he featured for fellow Puerto Rican rapper and reggaetón artist Eladio Carrión. In his native tongue and slang, he commented on the Boricua sun heating things up more than the one in Phoenix. If it wasn’t an intentional diss, it’s an unbelievable coincidence.

Bad Bunny & Kendall Jenner Move Stealthily After Night Out In L.A.

Meanwhile, the Kardashian mogul recently came back from a Paris trip, where she accompanied Kim for a PSG soccer game. Other than that, it seems like the couple is trying to keep things low-key as they spend time together. For example, they moved carefully on Sunday morning and didn’t provoke a lot of paparazzi photos in the process. However, the Un Verano Sin Ti MC reportedly bought a house in Los Angeles for $8 million, so maybe things are moving faster. So far, the only public statements about their relationship relates to statements from allegedly close sources to them. In any case, the “Bichiyal” star and Jenner are just trying to see where things go.

“They’re taking things slow for now and seeing where things go in the future,” a supposedly close source told ET. “They both really like each other and are just hanging out and having a good time. They get along very well and have mutual friends, so the people around them really like them together. Her family is supportive of their relationship. Rihanna’s Driver’s 2012 Audi Sedan Stolen From Outside Her Los Angeles Home

This past weekend, reports came out revealing that Jhené Aiko fell victim to having her car stolen from a Los Angeles restaurant recently. The R&B songstress was dining at Tasty Noodle House with her beau and family at the time. She witnessed someone drive off with her 2020 Range Rover from the establishment, assuming that the valet she left her keys with was just relocating the whip. Unfortunately for her, it still hasn’t been found. Now, we know it’s not the only incident of such nature to take place in the City of Angels. According to TMZ, Rihanna’s house was also recently targeted by thieves.

Just a few days ago, the expecting mother’s driver pulled up outside of her home in the area. At the time, he was quickly running inside to grab something. For some reason, he opted to leave his keys in the 2012 Audi sedan with the engine running. Obviously, this wasn’t the smartest move on his part. The vehicle had disappeared by the time he made it back outside. It remains unclear if Rihanna was home at the time, though her staff member is under the impression that someone saw the car, jumped inside, and took off, law enforcement sources have confirmed.

LAPD is investigating the situation, though, much like in Aiko’s situation, no leads have been discovered at this time. Of course, this isn’t the only strange activity that’s been unfolding at Rihanna’s home as of late. Last Thursday (March 23), a strange man showed up on her property, claiming he wanted to propose to the Barbadian beauty. Authorities promptly raced to her home, where the perp was arrested and taken away to ensure her safety.

A few years back, in 2018, another man caused concern by crashing at Rihanna’s home for at least a day. Upon his arrest, he told police that he was planning to have sex with the 35-year-old – a fantasy which obviously never came true for him. Jhené Aiko’s 2020 Range Rover Stolen From Valet At LA Restaurant

Earlier this month, both Jhené Aiko and Big Sean celebrated their birthdays. Both recording artists turned 35 this year. While they’ve been surely showered with blessings, they’ve also had their share of struggles to deal with too. Most recently, the R&B songstress witnessed her 2020 Range Rover’s theft while dining with her family at Tasty Noodle House in Los Angeles.

According to TMZ, the mother of two left her luxury vehicle with the restaurant’s valet around 8:30 PM last Saturday night. At the time, Aiko handed her keys over to the employee before heading inside to grab a delicious meal with her loved ones. Just 30 minutes later, however, she happened to spot someone driving away in her Range Rover. Though it was unexpected, the California native assumed a staff member was simply relocating her SUV.

Unfortunately for her and Sean Don, the whip was never returned to Tasty Noodle House. It remains unclear who the thief was at the time, but it’s worth noting that the establishment’s valet drivers are all in the clear. Authorities investigating the case have said there was an extra key kept inside Aiko’s Range Rover, making the criminal’s work far easier than they likely anticipated. Police are continuing to search for the missing vehicle, but as of right now, no arrests have been made and no sightings have been reported.

The ordeal has surely been stressful for the “Sativa” singer, but she’s not letting it stop her from celebrating. On Saturday (March 25), she shared a heartwarming post on her Instagram feed, wishing her beau a happy birthday. “We love you!! Amanda Bynes Found Naked & Alone In Downtown Los Angeles, Placed On Psychiatric Hold

Throughout the ’90s and 2000s, Amanda Bynes was one of the most beloved young women working in TV and film. She got her start thanks to programs like The Amanda Show and All That. However, it was her work on films like What a Girl Wants and She’s the Man that really catapulted her toward the heights of contemporaries like Lindsay Lohan. Arguably her biggest role came in 2007 with Hairspray, though she also appeared in Sydney White and Easy A afterward. Unfortunately for fans, the 36-year-old’s acting resume hasn’t grown since 2010.

More recent years have found her enduring serious mental health struggles while navigating toxic relationships. Much like Britney Spears, she was placed under a nine-year-long conservatorship by her mother after receiving a bipolar diagnosis. That arrangement was finally terminated in 2022. As TMZ notes, Bynes appeared to be making progress and doing better in wake of the legal arrangement ending. Unfortunately, her latest antics are undeniably causing serious concern.

On Sunday (March 19) morning, the former child star was seen wandering through downtown Los Angeles. This in itself isn’t abnormal, though the fact that Bynes wasn’t wearing any clothing is certainly raising eyebrows. She reportedly waved down a passing car, informing the driver that she was coming down from a psychotic episode. Afterward, 911 was called. Law enforcement sources say the actress was taken to a nearby station, where the mental health team on site determined a 5150 psych hold was the appropriate way to handle the situation.

The California native reportedly remains unharmed after her nude adventure – apparently a very lucky thing considering the area of LA she was found in. A source close to Amanda Bynes says that she remains in the hospital at this time, and will likely remain there for several days. Typical psychiatric holds last 72 hours, though that time period can be extended depending on the circumstances.
