Travis Scott’s Egypt Concert At The Pyramids Of Giza Has Officially Been Canceled Following Rumors

After many rumors, it’s official: Travis Scott’s planned concert at Egypt’s Pyramids of Giza is canceled, per a statement from Live Nation Middle East.

The statement shared today (July 26) starts, “We regret to inform you that the UTOPIA show, originally scheduled for July 28th at the Pyramids of Giza in Egypt is cancelled. Unfortunately, despite highest efforts, complex production issues meant that the show could not be constructed in the desert. We understand that this news is disappointing and not the outcome any of us desired.”

It concludes, “Refunds will be issued to all ticket holders at their point of purchase. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this cancellation may have caused and appreciate your understanding. We remain committed to bringing exceptional live performances to fans and hope to have the opportunity to do so in the future.”

The news follows reports that cultural concerns from the Egyptian Musicians’ Syndicate forced the Scott show to be canceled, with a statement from the group reading in part, “After examining social media opinions and feedback, as well as the news circulating on search engines and social media platforms, which included authenticated images and information about peculiar rituals performed by the star during his performance, contradicting our authentic societal values and traditions, the Syndicate’s president and board of directors have decided to cancel the license issued for hosting this type of concert, which goes against the cultural identity of the Egyptian people.”

Live Nation said in response at the time, “There have been no changes to Travis Scott’s show in Egypt; any reports to the contrary are false. We can’t wait to celebrate ‘Utopia’ with you in Egypt!”

Now, though, the show has indeed been canceled. There were reports earlier this week that Scott’s team was looking to find another venue for the show, but it’s not clear if that remains, or ever was, the case.

Live Nation And Ticketmaster Will Show Full Ticket Prices Upfront Starting This Fall

In February, President Joe Biden proposed the Junk Fee Prevention Act, to eliminate the “junk fees” that make concerts (as well as flights) so expensive. “For example, we’re making airlines show you the full ticket price upfront and refund your money if your flight is canceled or delayed,” he said at the State Of The Union. “Baggage fees are bad enough — they can’t just treat your child like a piece of luggage. Americans are tired of being played for suckers.”

According to NPR, Live Nation and Ticketmaster will pledge to get rid of junk fees, which will be starting in September. Instead, the full prices will be shown upfront. “Today’s voluntary actions demonstrate that companies both big and small recognize the importance of providing consumers with honest, up-front all-in pricing, rather than tricking them with surprise fees at the end of checkout,” the White House said. “It is also just a first step towards addressing junk fees in the economy.”

This is a big feat for Taylor Swift fans, who sued Ticketmaster following the Eras Tour fiasco.

In March, Live Nation’s President and CEO, Michael Rapino, responded to Biden’s proposal by sharing that the company was aiming to “relieve a lot of the stress [and] the consumer’s perception that there’s this magical extra fee added on.”

50 Cent Announces Global Tour

50 Cent just announced “The Final Lap” global tour, his first trek since last year’s string of dates on the other side of the Atlantic. Moreover, Busta Rhymes and Jeremih are the legendary rapper‘s special guests, with more to be announced. Furthermore, he will finally hit the U.S. as well and celebrate the 20th anniversary of Get Rich Or Die Tryin’. With production from Live Nation and sponsorship from Sire Spirits, this tour looks to be one for the ages.

What’s more is that the TV mogul will also include VIP packaging as part of this tour. For example, said access will grant you premium tickets, a pre-show lounge, Sire Spirits bottle signings, afterparty events, and much more. Fans in North America can register for a presale for 50 Cent’s tour on May 10th now through May 7th, followed by a limited general sale on May 12. However, those looking to hit Europe could get local presale access on May 10 and tickets will be available to the public on May 12, as well.

50 Cent’s “The Final Lap” Global Tour

Meanwhile, the summer-to-fall tour comes after speculation of a new album on the way. After 50 Cent cleared his Instagram, many believe we’re in the midst of a rollout. With that hype in mind, check out the tour dates down below and purchase your tickets when available here. Also, stay posted on HNHH for the latest news and updates on the Queens icon.

[WATCH] LL Cool J Laughs off Joking on Jay-Z’s Rapping in High School: ‘I Don’t Even Remember It’

LL Cool J on Handling a Home Intruder First Tour in 30 Years Ice T Beef and New Album Interview 0 10 screenshot

LL COOL J was with Big Boy on Big Boy’s Neighborhood and recalled laughing at JAY-Z when he rapped in high school.

LL mentioned that he didn’t have any issues with Hov and barely remembers the moment. But now, he wonders if it could be what led to no invite to the Roc Nation Brunch. “I don’t even remember it! I laughted at you, so now I can’t have no brunch?” LL jokingly asked.

LL will soon be back on the road. Liv Nation Urban has announced a once-in-a-lifetime touring experience and celebration of hip-hop culture. Rock The Bells and Live Nation Urban The Kennedy Center Honoree, two-time Grammy Award winner, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame® Inductee, and Hip-Hop Icon LL COOL J as the headlining act at The F.O.R.C.E. (Frequencies of Real Creative Energy) Live.

For the first time in 30 years, LL COOL J will headline an arena tour with this historic tour. The lineup for this tour was chosen by LL COOL J himself, living true to the phrase F.O.R.C.E. (Frequencies of Real Creative Energy).

All events will feature collaborative live performances with renowned Grammy Award-winning Hip-Hop band The Roots, the famous DJ Jazzy Jeff, and DJ Z-Trip, building on their incredible performance together on the GRAMMY® Awards earlier this year celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Hip-Hop. The evening will be a continual musical mix up with artist performances intertwined into one continuous musical set, contrary to the typical “opening act – headliner” style, supported by The Roots. Salt-N-Pepa, Queen Latifah, Rakim, Common, MC Lyte, Method Man & Redman, Big Boi, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Ice T, Juvenile, Doug E. Fresh, Slick Rick, De La Soul, Goodie Mob, Jadakiss, Rick Ross, and more are among the legendary performers on the lineup in some cities.

“I’m excited to be on my first Arena tour in 30 years. It’s proof that our culture is more viable than ever,” LL COOl J says of the tour. “Get ready for some non stop beats and rhymes. See you this summer!”

The F.O.R.C.E. Live begins its journey on June 25 at Boston, Massachusetts’ TD Garden, stops in Brooklyn, New York’s Barclays Center on June 27, travels to arenas throughout the United States and Canada, and concludes on September 3 in Los Angeles, California’s Kia Forum.

Questlove And Black Thought Are Accused Of Fraud In A Lawsuit From The Estate Of Late The Roots Bassist Leonard Hubbard

Music titans Questlove, Black Thought, Live Nation, and Universal Music Group have been named in an explosive fraud lawsuit. According to Rolling Stone, Questlove (real name Ahmir Thompson) and Black Thought (real name Tariq Trotter), co-founders of hip-hop group The Roots, the group’s manager Shawn Gee, and band employee Munir Nuriddin are being accused of working together to “scheme to defraud” the estate of the band’s late bassist Leonard Hubbard’s widow and estate out of money owed to them.

After forming Grand Negaz, Inc. to manage the band’s business dealings in 1993, a financial agreement was made to clearly state ownership percentages to ensure everyone knew their respective compensation splits. Thompson and Trotter took 37 percent of stakeholders’ interest, while member rapper Malik Smart (who died in 2020) and Hubbard retained 17 percent each. However, in addition to that, the lawsuit claims Hubbard was to be granted 25 percent of the group’s recording and publishing earnings, as well as a 33 percent stake in the band’s touring performance company.

The lawsuit presented by Hubbard’s widow and estate is seeking “restitution for property, money, and benefits” that were not provided to him as outlined in the paperwork. While the matter is being litigated, they are requesting that the courts “freeze” The Roots’ trademark “until a value can be determined for the brand.”

Hubbard departed from the group in 2007 to seek medical care after being diagnosed with blood cancer, and later died in 2021. The suit alleges that beginning in 2014 up to the current day, Thompson, Trotter, and others, “through a pattern of racketeered behavior, fraudulently converted, divested and absconded with monies lawfully belonging to the Plaintiff Decedent.”

The lawsuit also accuses the musicians of forming a new business, Legendelphia, in 2013, to allegedly transfer funds from their business Grand Negaz, all without the approval of Hubbard. As for where Live Nationa and Universal Music Publishing Group is named, the suit accuses Gee of “deactivating Hubbard’s personal royalty account.” It also accuses that Gee, Thompson, and Trotter of “sending a letter be written from Legendelphia to Universal Music Publishing Group to divert Hubbard’s royalties to Legendelphia” instead of Grand Negaz, Inc.

No public statement has been released by The Roots, Thompson, or Trotter. All parties declined Rolling Stone‘s request for comment.

Where To Buy Chlöe’s ‘In Pieces’ Tour Tickets

Chloe Bailey first rose to fame through her joint YouTube account with her sister Halle. Now, she is one of the most promising newer R&B singers making music. The latest news regarding the singer is that she has announced her very first tour. Chloe Bailey’s tour is a smaller engagement than many fans would like, but it just means you may have to find a nearby state to see her in concert. She’s still winning fans, but Chloe has proven she has the talent and stage presence to headline a tour. This also means people need to know where to buy Chloe’s tour tickets for the In Pieces Tour.

Chloe Bailey tour tickets go on sale soon, with dates starting in April and running until May. The tour mainly consists of theaters, which means her biggest fans will get an intimate experience with the singer and her iconic vocals. As fans know from her music videos, Chloe is also a talented dancer, which means ticket buyers can expect a full show.

As of now, Chloe Bailey hasn’t announced opening acts for her debut solo tour. However, there is still a chance she may pick an up-and-coming artist to join her on the road. Although, as she’s gearing up to release a full album, she may want to ensure the tour stops are entirely about her music as she continues to build her audience.

Here’s where to buy Chloe Bailey tour tickets.

Chloe Bailey’s Tour Announcement

Chloe Bailey announced the In Pieces Tour on February 28th. This is the Pray It Away singer’s first tour as a headliner. The In Pieces Tour will begin on April 11th in Chicago at the Riviera Theatre. It will conclude on May 3rd in Los Angeles at The Novo. The Chloe Bailey tour will only include 11 dates, so fans must be fairly quick in ticket-buying.

Though Chloe Bailey’s first album is forthcoming, the singer has a wealth of solo songs to choose from for the tour’s setlist. The singer’s first single, Have Mercy, shocked the music industry in 2021. Since then, she has released a number of songs, but she has decided they will not be on the forthcoming album. This makes sense, as they are now older and would date the album. But that doesn’t mean fans won’t get to see her sing songs such as Have Mercy and Treat Me. You can see the dates for the Chloe Bailey tour below.

Where to Buy Chloe Bailey Tickets

One of the fans’ biggest questions regarding the upcoming Chloe Bailey hitting the road to perform is where to get tickets. In the age of pre-sales, the process has become much more complicated than it was even just a few years ago. Luckily, with the In Pieces Tour being relatively small and limited to the US, the process is a bit more straightforward. Her official website is the best way to get tickets. There is currently a pre-sale going on with the pre-sale password PRAY. On her site, you’ll find the list of dates as well as a link to either regular tickets or VIP packages. The public sale for tickets begins March 3rd at 10 am local time.

The next best way to get Chloe Bailey tour tickets is through Live Nation. Though Live Nation is going through legal drama currently, even its process should be simple to get tickets. Live Nation also has a pre-sale going on for the In Pieces Tour. Its pre-sale lasts until March 2nd at 10 pm local time with the password CHORUS. If fans don’t want to do either of those options, they can get tickets from StubHub.

Chloe Bailey’s Tour Will Support Her New Album

Touring is one of the best ways for an artist to promote a new album. Partly, it’s because the process puts them in front of the fans with the possibility of performances going viral through social media. In addition, it’s also much more lucrative for the artist than counting on album sales and streams alone. Chloe Bailey’s first tour is named after her upcoming album, In Pieces. She released the official first single, Pray It Away, in January. More recently, she released another song featuring Chris Brown titled How Does it Feel.

As many fans are aware, both Chloe and her sister are proteges of Beyonce. In addition, her record deal with Beyoncé’s Parkwood Entertainment and Columbia Records. Though she still hasn’t had a long-lasting hit on the charts, this backing from the likes of Beyoncé gives fans hope that the album will be a solid body of work. Currently, there’s an online conversation regarding Chloe Bailey not connecting with fans in the way needed for sustained success. Hopefully, the upcoming tour and album will help more fans notice the singer’s talent and stage presence.

Lil Jon Threatens To Sue Over “Lovers & Friends” Festival: Report

Live Nation is about to make an enemy out of Lil Jon. He’s known for his vivacious personality, noticeable adlibs, and fire productions, but a recent report states Jon isn’t happy with the Lovers & Friends Festival promoters. The concert returns in May, and Lil Jon Is upset that the title of his hit track is being used as the festival’s name.

It’s reported that this week, the rapper’s team sent a letter to Live Nation hoping “to reach a financial agreement.”

This allegedly isn’t the first time Lil Jon has attempted to converse with Live Nation representatives. His attorney, Doug Davis, is said to have talked with the company back in May 2022. Additionally, it was “assumed” that Live Nation would do right by Lil Jon. Things didn’t escalate because he was headlining the festival with several famous friends.

However, this time around, there were many artists asked to once again join the line-up—but Lil Jon was left out. Another of the artist’s attorneys compared the situation to having a “Don’t Stop Believin’” festival without Journey.
