Earlier Friday morning, Grammy-Award-winning superstar Lil Baby’s (Quality Control Music/Motown) returned to rap supremacy with “5 AM.” Directed by Skeeboe, “5 AM” highlights the Atlanta superstar’s charisma and Teflon’s resiliency, ultimately the track’s driving forces. “Ain’t it crazy how they try to play me like I ain’t the one / Ain’t said it, but you know without me, this shit would be none,” the diamond-certified rapper says on the chorus, his flow pulsating with frenetic energy.

Whether driving exotic cars or putting pen to paper in the studio, Baby’s lyrical fortitude swells when his back is against the wall, and pressure comes at him from every angle. Despite the constant attacks from his adversaries, Baby is unfazed, reminding fans of his unwavering determination to reclaim his spot in the game as one of rap’s elite storytellers.

Following the release of “5 AM,” Baby returned with his official new single “Insecurities.” Directed by Hidji, Baby lays out why he should be anyone’s plan A, offering top-of-the-line quality across the board. Baby’s onslaught reaches new levels when he raps: “I know it gets tight paying bills, I’ll take care of that / I know you been wanting to tour the world, we can go anywhere. “Insecurities” finds Baby showcasing why he’s the best option for women looking to secure a real man.

Lil Baby keeps his fans on high alert with more buzzy and noteworthy collaborations. Billboards in Los Angeles, New York, Houston, Atlanta, and Chicago have read: “Whatever Wham Say Goes,” referring to Young Thug’s famous tweet from last June.

This isn’t surprising as Baby’s searing run as a perennial features artist remains his calling card after churning out hits for Central Cee (“BAND4BAND”), Future and Metro Boomin’ (“All My Life”), Rod Wave (“F–k The Fame”), further solidifying his status as one of the all-time leaders on the Billboard Hot 100. With Baby now shifting the focus back to himself, he’s readying the release for his forthcoming album – his first in two years since his platinum-selling No. 1 album It’s Only Me.

Lil Baby Wants To Give His Girl Everything And Then Some On “Insecurities”

Lil Baby is promising his hungry fans a special run going forward, and that includes a new album. The Quality Control signee and Georgia native did so via a fiery Instagram post, writing, “Ain’t It Crazy How They Tryna Play Me Like I Ain’t The One 😤😤!!! It’s That Time! I Would Say Again But This Run Will Be Totally Different!! I Had The Darkest Period Of My Life These Last Two Years But I Stayed Down And Overcame That S*** 🙏🏾 Now I’m Back To Fu*cin S*** Up As Usual…, Sincerely Wham!! WHAM (Who Hard As Me) currently doesn’t have a release date, but Genius is expecting it to be a 2025 project. To formally kick off the rollout, Lil Baby came back today with two singles, “5AM” and “Insecurities.”

In this post, we are focusing on the latter, and this one sees the hitmaker showing his mushier side. He details his strong affection for a woman he’s with. She seems to really be special because Lil Baby’s is willing to shove aside her imperfections. He’s spoiling her with material things, but also with his actions out of the goodness of his heart. Produced by Wheezy, CuBeatz, Klimperboy, KB, Juko, and Macshooter, the track features a nice guitar loop and some pretty piano keys the dance in and out the instrumental. It’s a catchy tune for sure and it’s a solid start for the future album.

Young Thug Reunites With Travis Scott, Future And Lil Baby In Studio

Young Thug is back. The rapper is free after undergoing the longest criminal trial in Georgia history, and he’s ready to resume his career. Thug received overwhelming support from his industry peers, many of whom celebrated his release on Instagram. Now, however, the time has come to get in the studio. Young Thug posted a photo from a recording session on November 10, and the artists who appeared alongside him have fans everywhere salivating at the mouth for new music.

The photo in question is a bit blurry, but the rappers present are unmistakable. Young Thug appears to be working on songs with fellow superstars Travis Scott, Future and Lil Baby. They have been some of Thugger’s most frequent collaborators over the years. Future recorded a collab album with the rapper in 2017. Travis Scott featured Thug on his breakthrough mixtape and first two albums. Lil Baby, meanwhile, is a YSL affiliate and one of Thug’s most successful proteges. There are tons of classic songs between these four men, and the fact that they are all present in the studio together suggests that there’s a huge Young Thug comeback around the corner.

Young Thug Teased A Lil Baby Collab On Twitter

Those who have been paying attention to Young Thug’s social media know that a Baby collab is eminent. On November 3, just four days after his release, Thug confirmed his plans to link back up with Lil Baby on a new song. “Wham let’s drop one on these rats Peter,” he wrote. Baby responded via Instagram Stories: “Wish ya none but billions jack! #whatwhamsaysgoes.” The hashtag that closed the statement out began to pop up on Billboards throughout Los Angeles. Fans have interpreted this as confirmation of Thug and Baby’s friendship, as well as their dislike of alleged “rat” Gunna.

Kiya Shuts Down Rumors That She’s Dating Lil Baby After IG Scandal

Lil Baby stepped into a heap of controversy on September 27. The rapper’s ex-girlfriend, Jayda Cheaves, seemingly threw shade at a woman named Kiya on Instagrm. Kiya was suspected to be the new girlfriend of Lil Baby, based on some of the Instagram comments Jayda Cheaves was making. “Oh Lil Baby done up the scoreeeee,” she wrote under photos of Kiya flexing new gifts. “Okayyy!!! Baby fine & she’s an RN. Oh u deserve everything Ms. mamas.” Kiya liked the comment, all but confirming to fans that she and Lil Baby were an item. Evidently, this is not the case.

Kiya, who reportedly works as a nurse, set the record straight on October 10. She hopped on Instagram and told followers that she is not dating Lil Baby. Furthermore, she didn’t get the gifts from the rapper, either. “Those gifts were not from him,” she wrote on her IG Story. “We do not date.” It looks like there’s nothing more to the story. Lil Baby has not commented at all on the Kiya or the Jayda situation. It’s a bit confusing as to how the rumors gained so much traction to begin with, given how little the focus of the rumor was involved, but such is the internet in 2024.

Lil Baby Previously Denied Dating Rapper Saweetie

Lil Baby is no stranger to dating rumors. The rapper, who shares a child with Jayda Cheaves, was also linked to rapper Saweetie in 2022. Saweetie posted a photo sitting on someone’s lap shortly after she split from Quavo, and many theorized that it was Baby’s lap. The rapper was asked about the photo on his Big Facts podcast appearance. “Nah,” he asserted. “It may seem like that. For, real. No… We got on the same pants right now.”

The answer seemed to satisfy the Big Facts host, but many fans were quick to point out that Baby seemingly addressed the Saweetie situation on his song “Not Finished.” He doesn’t mention any one person by name, but the context seems pretty applicable. “She post a picture without my permission,” he spit. “Got me in some sh*t, man, these women is wild. She f**kin’ n**gas, but think I don’t know. That sh*t really a joke man, lil’ mama’s a clown.”

Lil Baby (real name Dominique Jones) has one less thing to worry about now: His Las Vegas weapons case has been dropped.

Back in August, it was reported that the rapper was allegedly carrying a concealed weapon without a permit, a felony. Baby was brought to the Clark County Detention Center and held on $5,000 bail.

Lil Baby’s attorneys, Drew Findling and David Chesnoff, told TMZ at the time, “To be clear, Dominique Jones has a valid Georgia Carrying a Concealed Weapon (CCW) Permit. On his behalf we are actively investigating the facts and circumstances surrounding his arrest in Las Vegas.”

Now, though, it appears this is all behind him, as TMZ reports today (October 10) that per legal documents, the charges have been dropped and the Clark County District Attorney is declining to press charges.

In a new statement, Findling and Chesnoff told TMZ, “We’ll let the court record speak for itself.”

This news comes amid a relatively quiet 2024 for Lil Baby. He has popped up for a few collaborations this year, though, including Central Cee’s “Band4Band,” Tay B’s “All Ten,” and 4Batz’s “Roll Da Dice.” Baby ended 2023 with a pair of new songs, “Crazy” and “350,” and fans are currently awaiting the rapper’s first album since 2022’s It’s Only Me.

In legal documents, the Clark County District Attorney declined to press charges.

Lil Baby’s legal team, Drew Findling and David Chesnoff, spoke with TMZ and revealed additional details: “To be clear, Dominique Jones has a valid Georgia Carrying a Concealed Weapon (CCW) Permit. Lil Baby Sidesteps Prosecution After Felony Gun Charge Gets Dropped

Lil Baby stepped into a legal quagmire on August 26. The rapper was pulled over in Las Vegas, and police found a firearm on his person. The rapper’s mugshot went viral. Lil Baby’s attorney, Drew Findling told Billboard that he was well within his legal rights to carry a weapon. “Dominique Jones has a valid Georgia Carrying a Concealed Weapon (CCW) Permit,” the lawyer stated. “We are actively investigating the facts and circumstances.” Findling’s assertion ultimately proved correct. Lil Baby is in the clear. He no longer has a felony charge hanging over him.

TMZ confirmed the ruling on October 9. Baby will not be prosecuted for carrying a concealed firearm. Furthermore, the Clark Country District Attorney has decided not to press charges against the rapper. This is an enormous break for Lil Baby, who was looking at a potential felony charge. This, of course, is not the first time the rapper has run into legal trouble. Lil Baby was arrested for reckless driving in 2019. He was also detained on suspicion of “transporting drugs” in France in 2022. He was released, but required to pay a fine. The incident took place during Fashion Week.

Clark County Didn’t Press Charges Against Lil Baby

Baby has been especially busy as of late. The rapper was not letting the possibility of a felony slow him down. He served as the executive producer on the new Tay B album, You’re Welcome. He will also appear at the Don’t Fall In Love Fest in November. The festival will take place in San Bernandino, and see Baby rap alongside stars like Chino Pacas, Sexyy Red and Kodak Black. Fuerza Regida will put on the event. DJ Akademiks and ATL Jacob also dragged Lil baby into their recent drama.

DJ Akademiks and Jacob got into a heated back-and-forth over Twitter. The disses went on for hours, before the former hopped on stream to air out his grievances. He took ATL Jacob to task for making false claims about superstar rappers. Baby was one of them. “He told me that Gunna finna die,” Ak alleged. “He told me Rick Ross lives in the hood, [Lil] Baby not like that. Future trying to hold on to some points and basically told me that they don’t f*ck with Drake.” Baby, however, steered clear of the feud.
