Latto recently poked fun at a Twitter user who claimed she frequently wore the same cheetah print panties. The rapper even attempted to sell the underwear on eBay, which violated the site’s policy. Grammy-nominated artist Latto is riding the wave of a Twitter user who tried to embarrass her publicly. The account @extraathique accused Latto […]
Over the weekend, Latto got called out for wearing similar cheetah-print panties in two separate photos. However, the 777 rapper spat this claim back at the Internet troll last night after selling a used pair on eBay.
“Can’t afford new panties?” a fan wrote with side-by-side photos of Latto. The rapper quickly hit back, sarcastically writing, “Oh no, it’s the panty police.”
The response went viral and Latto later gave fans a tour of her underwear drawer. However, she leveled up her response when she listed a used pair of panties on eBay at 99 cents. “Latto’s everyday cheetah print panties. Used. As seen on Latto multiple times,” the description read.
Immediately, the number began to skyrocket from 99 cents to nearly reaching $100,000. However, eBay later removed the listing since it violated their terms.
Despite eBay blocking the bag, fans immediately praised Latto for flipping the situation into a positive.
One fan wrote, “The way she flipped and reversed the whole scenario. I have no choice but to Stan.”
Latto deals with a lot of trolls. When she released “Another Nasty Song,” she received a repeated complaint: “p*ssy is that only thing she raps about.” Luckily, she’s always prepared to address the issues head-on. She responded by tweeting, “I got plenty [of] songs [that] not about ‘p*ssy.’ Y’all don’t blow them up & that’s not my problem.”
This time, the situation is even more unhinged. She recently got the ridiculous accusation from a Twitter user that she “can’t afford new panties” because she wore the same pair twice. Initially, she reacted just by quote-tweeting: “Oh no, it’s the panty police,” which went instantly viral. But then she took it up a notch. Or a few notches, really.
The rapper used this as an opportunity to clap back in the funniest way possible; she listed them on eBay for 99 cents. In the caption of her Instagram post, she wrote: “Auction live on eBay since I can’t wear them twice.” The eBay listing reads: “Latto’s everyday cheetah print panties. Used. As seen on Latto multiple times.” Bids quickly rolled in, nearing hundreds of thousands of dollars before the listing was removed.
She kept it up for hours on her Instagram stories, entertaining fans with this seemingly endless bit. She even gave them a tour of her underwear drawer.
A massive song leak that caused Latto to trend across social media has received an official response from Coi Leray. In November, Latto was yet another artist who suffered a setback after a reported 130 songs leaked online. Nestled within was a reference track where Latto spit bars over Coi Leray and Nicki Minaj’s collaboration, “Blick Blick.”
Quickly, fans speculated on whether Latto was responsible for penning bars on the released version. In a new interview with Billboard, Leray addressed the controversy. “I had no clue that she cut that record,” she said.
After the songs leaked, Leray said that creating songs was a team effort. She emphasized the point with Billboard.
“I kinda look at it like a collab. It’s like if Gucci or Moncler wanted me on the cover wearing their stuff, and I like the stuff, then if I don’t like it, I don’t have to wear it. It’s the same thing with that song,” Coi added.
“If you play me a song and I think I could kill that s–t. I’ma businesswoman — not only am I talented, I’m also about my business. If that s–t’s a smash and I’m like, ‘All right cool, let’s do it,’ I have the option to change whatever I want in the song. I have the options to tweak or do whatever.”
Further, “Once you give me the song, you can’t tell me what to do. You could give me advice and I’ma cut it.”
The “No More Parties” rapper also addressed why the reference track had similar lyrics to the finalized version.
“Even when we did ‘Blick Blick,’ the hook was already cut and we did the verse together. That’s why the verses sound different,” said Leray. “I heard Latto’s version and the verses sound different but the hook was there.”
“A lot of great music hooks are written and I don’t know — it’s a formula. I’ve only been in the industry for four years, and now I’m at point where I feel like I’m breaking superstar status and I’m learning that formula. I’m gonna be at a point where I’m making those f–king songs for the biggest of the biggest just off the simple fact I learned the formula.”
Additionally, Leray adknowledged she learned this formula through collaborating with others. However, she made sure to add, “But if you put me in the studio with any one of these b–ches I swear they’re not seeing me in any way. They’re not coming out with no hit.”
“And I say that in the most humblest, friendliest, loving, and friendly competition way.”

Latto has obviously never been one to let the internet dull her confidence. This weekend, the 777 hitmaker reminded haters of that while expertly clearing one of them on Twitter. On Sunday (January 29), account user @extraathique shared two curvaceous photos of the rap diva on social media, accusing her of outfit repeating.
For any normal person, sporting the same look generally isn’t questionable. For one of the most well-known up-and-coming lyricists, however, there’s far more pressure to keep your wardrobe looking fresh and fierce.
Interestingly, the photos the Twitter user is comparing don’t specifically find Latto donning the same threads. Still, she does tease a sneaky look at what appears to be the same pair of cheetah-print panties in both images. Apparently, wearing the same pair more than once is a carnal celebrity sin.
“Can’t afford new panties?” they asked the fashionista in the caption. It’s worth noting that they failed to officially tag her in the mean post. On the left, the Atlanta-based starlet wears a hot pink Juicy Couture sweatsuit. She looks in the bathroom mirror while a photographer captures her bodacious behind.
In the right image, Latto opted for a Canadian tuxedo look, sporting low-rise denim jeans with flashy pocket bling and a fur-trimmed cropped jacket as she looks back at the cameraman.
While she may not have been directly mentioned, the 24-year-old still got word of the hate and didn’t hesitate to clap back at the immature account.
“Oh no, it’s the panty police,” she drily wrote, earning upwards of 90K likes since yesterday afternoon.
Many are coming to Latto’s defence in the replies. “N*ggas really finna act like they ain’t ever washed and wore the same pair of draws before,” one person clapped back.
“Bruh there’s packs of like 12 or more you can get on Amazon that all look like that,” another pointed out. “@Latto is right and wants to stay that way,” someone else chimed in. “Continue to be normal. Your true supporters respect it. Don’t go broke to keep up with social media opinions.”
Aside from the internet haters dissing her for getting sufficient wear out of her panties, Latto has also been keeping her fans entertained with new music. This past weekend, she dropped off a freestyle over SZA’s S.O.S. joint, “Smoking On My Ex Pack.”
Listen to that here, and check back later for more pop culture news updates.

Latto found herself facing backlash this weekend after drawing a blank when asked to complete lyrics from Ice Spice’s “Bikini Bottom.”
During a red carpet event, Latto fielded questions for the press but it was one journalist that tested her knowledge of current hit records. A journalist from Billboard asked Latto to complete the following bars after Ice Spice raps, “How can I lose if I’m already chose?”
Latto seemed completely unaware of what the journalist was referring to. She asked for someone to help her immediately afterward.
Shortly after the clip spread across social media, people immediately felt as if Latto was being shady towards Ice Spice. A few fans noted that it feels unlikely that Latto doesn’t know the song since she’s active on TikTok. Ice Spice’s “Bikini Bottom” became one of the leading songs on the platform upon its release.
Despite how many tried to egg on the feud, others felt that it was a reach to think that Latto was trying to shade Ice Spice.
At this point, neither artist has addressed the viral clip or the controversy surrounding it.
Though the feud between the two feels forced, it comes at a convenient time in Ice Spice’s career. Last Friday, the Bronx Baddie dropped off her debut EP, Like…?including singles like “Munch (Feel U)” and “In Ha Mood.”
As for Latto, the Atlanta rapper is nearly a year removed from the release of her last project, 777. However, it appears that she’s preparing to unleash new music on her fans throughout this year. In late 2022, she locked in with GloRilla and the late Gangsta Boo for their single, “FTCU,” an undoubtedly infectious single that pays tribute to Memphis. She’s yet to reveal her 2023 plans but maybe we could expect a new project from her this year.
