Cardi B’s Birthday Shenanigans Included Previewing New Music & Smoking Cigarettes

Cardi B’s vivacious personality has always allowed her to be the life of the party, but for her birthday this year, the New York native is giving back to fans instead of focusing on receiving gifts. On Thursday (October 12), her Instagram feed lit up with a red-hot new post that finds her previewing new music as the Bardi Gang anxiously awaits her sophomore album. “I’m back in the mood, I’m back on they a**es,” the Hustlers actress declares in the clip below. “I’m teaching them classes / These b**ches is food!”

In her post’s caption, Cardi wrote, “Throw it back like it’s Thursday / I got cake, I’m lit, It’s my birthday… Trophies.” As per usual, the fashionista looked flawless while performing for IG, her long black hair twisted into a stunning updo. Her hourglass figure looked seriously sexy in a red dress, which chiefly showed off ample cleavage as Cardi sat pretty amid her collection of flowers and balloons gifted from her husband, Offset.

Cardi B Shows What She’s Been Working on in the Studio

Speaking of the former Migo, on Friday (October 13), his highly anticipated Set It Off album landed on DSPs, complete with a new “Freaky” collaboration featuring his wife. Unfortunately for her, she’s been too busy clapping back at critics slamming her for smoking on her birthday to fully celebrate their joint effort.

“You b**ches, you motherf**kers judging me… You motherf**kers is out here drinking NyQuil mixed with f**king Benadryl. Y’all popping f**king… Y’all not even getting the right motherf**king Percs,” Cardi lashed out at her haters earlier this week. “You’re out here motherf**king popping pills, b**ch. Kevin Durant Seen Blazing And Vibing At Drake Concert

Phoenix Suns star Kevin Durant hit up the It’s All a Blur tour this week, catching Drake during his stint at the KIA Forum in Inglewood. However, he was also spotted lighting up and enjoying something rolled while taking in the show. It’s unclear what it was specifically, but there’s one pretty good bet given Durant’s vocal cannabis advocacy. Durant was recently integral to the efforts to get cannabis and its related forms removed from the NBA’s banned substances list.

It’s actually the second time that Durant has made an appearance on the tour. Last month, Durant walked Drake out alongside Lamar Jackson during a concert in Baltimore. Of course, this appearance had many people worried that the Drake curse would be back in force this season. It’s a pivotal season for both the Ravens and Suns. With so much on the line, neither team is likely looking to be struck down by the Canadian rapper’s passive ability to doom the sports franchises that he backs. It was announced earlier this week that Durant’s 2023-24 season would begin against the Warriors on the NBA’s opening night. Meanwhile, Lamar Jackson begins his 2023 season on September 10 against the Texans.

Kevin Durant Continues Hip-Hop Involvement

Appearing at, and as part of, Drake’s tour is just Durant’s latest involvement in the world of Hip-Hop. Durant, through his media company Boardroom, played a major part in announcing this year’s RapCaviar award winners. As part of that process, Durant made up-and-coming British rapper Central Cee as his Rookie of the Year. The award was eventually won by Destroy Lonely.

“I love the opportunity to bring the sports and Hip Hop worlds together, and getting to bring Boardroom into the mix with this year’s All-RapCaviar campaign was a no-brainer,” Durant said about his involvement in the process. Beyond hip-hop, Durant also expressed an interest in sports ownership once his career is over. More specifically, the 2014 MVP said that he wanted to be part of the process that would bring the NBA back to Seattle. Durant played his rookie year for the SuperSonics before the team was controversially moved to Oklahoma City.

He recalled to the outlet: “I think that was my first time out here [in New York]. When he hit me up he just hit my DMs, and he asked where I was at. And I was like, ‘Oh man.’ Then he was like, ‘Pull up to the studio.’ And I just pulled up on him. Then we was in that bih all night. We did another song too. Doja Cat Might Not Be Invited Back To Met Gala For Vaping

Doja Cat might not be invited back to next year’s Met Gala after she was spotted vaping on multiple occasions at the event on Monday night. Anna Wintour and Met Museum Costume Institute curator-in-charge Andrew Bolton both remarked that smoking is a surefire way to get banned from the Met Gala during an interview with CBS’ Gayle King.

“What’s the best way to be invited and what’s the best way to never be invited back again? What really ticks you off, Anna?” King asked the two. “Smoking in the gallery,” Andrew interjected. “Touching the art.” “Smoking, yes,” Anna agreed, while Andrew added, “Those would be no-nos.”

Fans caught Doja vaping in the background of an interview between Emma Chamberlain and Jennie. The moment quickly went viral on social media. The Planet Her rapper previously spoke about smoking nicotine-free vapes during a conversation with Interview Magazine, last month.

“I haven’t smoked nicotine in like 10 weeks,” she told the publication. “And then Elle just came out with a shoot where I’m smoking a cigarette, but it was when I was smoking. They’ve had these photos in this interview for a thousand years, and now people are like, ‘Oh my God, she’s smoking again.’ But I don’t smoke. I’m nicotine free. And I love nicotine free vapes. Any zero nicotine vape doesn’t hit, it just feels like you’re breathing and it’s like, ‘What is this?’ It feels pointless. But this thing really feels… It hits, it has the same effect. I also got hypnotherapy.”

Doja Cat’s Met Gala appearance comes as she prepares for the release of her next album. In a tweet posted last week, she hinted towards dropping the lead single from the project within the next month. Be on the lookout for more information regarding new music from the rapper in the coming weeks.

Quavo Shares Old Video Of Himself With Takeoff

Quavo shared an old video of himself with the late Migos rapper, Takeoff, on Instagram, Monday. In the clip, the two share a smoke outside at an unclear location. “Let Me Smoke Wit Ya Phew!” Quavo captioned the post, while tagging Takeoff’s Instagram account.

Prior to Takeoff’s death, he and Quavo had begun releasing music as the duo, Unc & Phew. They shared their only studio album, Only Built for Infinity Links, in October, less than a month before Takeoff’s death. The 28-year-old was shot and killed outside of a bowling alley in Houston, Texas in November.

In the months since, Quavo has released multiple songs that address the grief he’s felt in response to Takeoff’s passing. On his track, “Without You,” he sings, “I wish I had a time machine/ So you can take a ride with me. Wrap my arms around and hold you tight, Phew/ So you can never say goodbye to me.” He also mentioned releasing his latest single, “Honey Bun,” in honor of Takeoff.

Quavo isn’t the only Migos rapper who has had a hard time with Takeoff’s death. Offset, who is also Takeoff’s first cousin, previously reflected on the passing of the rapper in a lengthy Instagram post from November. “The pain you have left me with is unbearable,” Offset wrote at the time. “My heart is shattered and I have so many things to say, but I can’t find the words. I’ve been going to sleep and waking up hoping that all of this is a dream, but it’s reality, and reality feels like a nightmare. I know someone with a soul like yours is in heaven now. I hope you can see how much we love you and miss you. You have left a hole in my heart that will never be filled.” Offset also revealed that he got a massive tattoo in honor of Takeoff on his back last weekend.

Benzino Says He Tried To Stop Coi Leray From Smoking Weed

Benzino says that he once tried to prevent his daughter, Coi Leray, from smoking weed as a teenager. Appearing on an upcoming episode of The G.O.A.T.s and Underdogs Podcast, the former Source editor recalled the first time Leray tried to smoke.

“She’s about 15, 16, essentially,” he began in a preview clip of the episode. “And she’s smoking — I’m like, damn, I don’t want her to smoke. So it’s like, man, I don’t wanna be the bad guy.” When co-host Tamira Smith asked what age Benzino started smoking, he admitted he was 13 years old. “But you want your kids to be better than you!” Ray Daniels said. “You’re right,” Benzino responded. “It’s called necessary hypocrisy.”

Leray and Benzino have been at odds in public many times over the years. In 2021, Leray admitted that she was “ashamed” to be her father’s daughter. In response, he slammed his daughter in a since-deleted Instagram post. “I been posting and supporting, so idk where all this bs is coming from. That line in her song is [cap] my name and rep is very important to me and nobody is gonna tarnish that for story line u dig? I still love u very much coileray but this gotta stop,” Benzino wrote.

Leray fired back at the time, says she’s “embarrassed” by Benzino. “And this is why I NEVER WANTED ANYBODY TO KNOW!!!” she wrote in a since-deleted tweet of her own. “I’M EMBARRASSED TO BE YOUR DAUGHTER. I should have been a boy your right cause I would have knocked you the fuck out already. NUMB TO THE PAIN!! I’m hurting right now but it’s all good. Ima be the one to PUT US RIGHT BACK IN THAT MANSION.” In the time since, the two have also traded shots over Leray expressing her support for Eminem. The Detroit rapper and Benzino have famously had beef over the years.
