If you thought the outcome of Drake’s rap battle with Kendrick Lamar would push him into a cave, you were quite mistaken. Since the rapid beef calmed down, Drake has featured beside Camila Cabello and Gordo on new songs, and now, he’s back again with music of his own. In posts made to his now-revealed finsta (Fake Instagram) account, thanks to him reposting it on his main verified Instagram account, Drake unveiled three new songs as a part of 100 gigabytes of unreleased content that he shared with fans.

The three songs are “It’s Up” featuring Young Thug and 21 Savage, “Housekeeping Knows” featuring Latto, and “Blue Green Red.” “It’s Up” lands as bass-knocking track with verses from Young Thug and 21 Savage while “Housekeeping Knows” pairs Drake with Latto for a “sweet,” “uplifting,” and “inspiring” New Orleans-bounce track that concludes with a verse from the Atlanta rapper. Finally there’s “Blue Green Red,” a tropical, dancehall-inspired track that will probably do well in the remaining weeks of summer.

As if the three new songs weren’t enough, the folder of unreleased content also includes behind-the-scenes videos and other unreleased content from over the years in Drake careers. This includes BTS footage of Drake’s “Nonstop,” “Jumbotron Sh*t Poppin,” “Sticky,” “Hotline Bling,” and “What’s Next” music videos, among others. There’s also an original version of “U With Me,” videos from his 2023 show at New York’s Apollo Theatre, more BTS content from tours like 2012’s Club Paradise Tour and 2013’s Would You Like a Tour?, as well as videos of Drake recording music in the studio.

Honestly, there’s so much content in here, it’ll take a day or seven to decipher what it is and what Drake era it’s from. We’ll leave that task up to you all if you so choose to take it on.

You can view Drake’s “100 gigs” of unreleased material on his website here.

Spotify’s New Art Exhibit For Women In Rap Has Fans Questioning Nicki Minaj’s Absence

Spotify’s new exhibit honoring women in hip-hop had a glaring omission, and some fans are pretty upset about it. The Gold Standard Exhibition has taken over The Hole Gallery in New York City with portraits painted by Manon Biernacki, who depicted Cardi B, City Girls, Doja Cat, Flo Milli, GloRilla, Ice Spice, Latto, Megan Thee Stallion, Saweetie, and Sexyy Red in a realist style reminiscent of Renaissance paintings. However, when images from the show hit social media, fans of one rapper in particular — Nicki Minaj — expressed their displeasure.

“And no Nicki ??” questioned one. “Wow Spotify the most streamed female rapper of all time ??” Another railed, “Nicki gottaaaa be on the mfn ceiling somewhere because this is ridiculous. Y’all gotta be out y’all rabbit a$$ minds.” One more added a slew of other women in rap to their complaints, writing, “where is lil kim, nicki minaj, missy elliot, lauryn hill, iggy, salt n pepa? if this is the bar then the bar is an inch off the floor.”

Of course, there are arguments to be made for any number of “exclusions,” but at the end of the day, there were no criteria given for the selections other than that they’ve all got relatively recent releases currently trending on Spotify. While that number would include Nicki Minaj, it would also include a bunch of other names that weren’t selected. None of that will ever prevent the Barbz from lashing out, but then again, if they didn’t have something to complain about, would they even be the Barbz?

Latto & Sexyy Red Continue To Debunk Past Beef Speculation With A Twerk-Tastic Night Out: Watch

Over the last several months, Latto and Sexyy Red have been pitted against each other online. Many outsiders have felt that the two leading ladies in hip-hop possess some sort of hatred for each other. This belief seemingly began back in October, shortly after working on the same remix, that being Young Nudy’s “Peaches & Eggplants” single. A video of Latto, her sister, and some friends made the rounds as they were all rocking True Religion jeans. Sexyy Red then seemingly took a subliminal shot at her, saying “All these celebrities wasn’t wearing @truereligion until @sexyyred came out 😭😭”. However, just one day after the speculation, the Hood Hottest Princess put all of that to bed, “Definitely not shading her I’m direct wit it whatever I gotta say”.

Then, late last month, the “Get It Sexyy” hitmaker had to once again shut down any beef rumors. Her little sister tried to push that Latto was once again copying her older sibling musically this time. Red stepped in, “I didn’t say nun about this girl period. I don’t have ah problem with @latto”. To essentially retire any possible remaining arguments that these two have it out for one another, Latto and Sexyy Red were enjoying a crazy night out at a dinner party.

Latto & Her Sis, Sexyy Red, & Flo Milli Had A Blast

According to AllHipHop, the two were twerking up a storm while “Get It Sexyy” was blasting at the restaurant. Flo Milli and Latto’s sister were the other notable girlies joining them, as a separate video shows them being goofy by making a TikTok inspired by a popular sound. On top of closing the beef chapter, this night is a sign for something else. With Latto getting ready to release Sugar Honey Iced Tea, we can only hope that they were discussing a possible collaboration for the project. The features are one of the major unknowns surrounding the album, so hopefully they have been working in secrecy!

What are your thoughts on Latto and Sexyy Red having a fun night out? Why do you think the beefing narrative continues to get pushed? Do you need more music from them? Could you see Red being a feature on Latto’s upcoming album? We would like to hear what you have to say, so leave your thoughts in the comments. Latto Teases Some Major Details Of Her Forthcoming Album “Sugar Honey Iced Tea”

Latto recently made the biggest announcement for her upcoming album Sugar Honey Iced Tea, aka the release date, via a trailer. The self-proclaimed Queen of Da Souf is going to be giving the fans the project on August 9, which is just about two weeks away. She has put out a handful of potential singles for it such as “Big Mama”, “Sunday Service”, its remix with Megan Thee Stallion and Flo Milli, and “ISSA PARTY” with BabyDrill. Of course, you also cannot forget about “Put It On Da Floor” and its sequel with Cardi B.

The final tracklist could be revealed within the next week or so, but Latto has decided to really get fans riled way before then. A series of album teasers disguised as a photo dump was shared to her Instagram nearly 24 hours ago. In the collage, Latto is wearing a red, white, and blue track-like outfit, perhaps in support of her home country during the 2024 Paris Olympics. In the last pic it appears she’s going to be presumably talking with Apple Music about Sugar Honey Iced Tea.

However, the juiciest slides show Latto covering up the album’s set of songs and a new song preview. It looks like there will be 17 songs and “Big Mama” is one of them, being track number two. Finally, there is a hand-written note from someone whose initials are “ACB”. Whoever that is can be seen thanking Latto for allowing them to be a part of the album. These are all huge developments, and we can only expect more will be coming very soon.

What are your thoughts on these new details from Latto’s upcoming album, Sugar Honey Iced Tea? Do you think this will be her best project to date, why or why not? WATCH: Latto Teases ‘Sugar Honey Iced Tea’ Album with ATL-Inspired Trailer

Latto Teases 'Sugar Honey Iced Tea' Album

Latto has announced her new album, Sugar Honey Iced Tea, and is releasing a trailer for the forthcoming release. Hitting social media, Latto released a trailer for the album, narrated by The Dungeon Family’s Big Rube, and features the heavy energy of the classic film ATL.

You can see the trailer below. The album is set for August 9, setting her up one week after her rival Ice Spice.

Ice Spice has delivered her debut album, Y2K, but her comments in her Rolling Stone cover shoot raise eyebrows. With a standing beef with Latto, Ice Spice revealed she doesn’t know the issue’s root.

“I feel like if we ever spoke and I asked her ‘what’s the issue?’ it’d be like a blank stare. It’d really be no issue whatsoever. Especially from me,” Ice Spice says. “I can understand a friendly competition, but I just feel like at this point it’s a joke that she’s just dragged out, and it’s just not even funny.

“Like, bro, ‘Think U the Shit’ is from January. You’re going to post a piece of shit cake to announce something that’s good news for you? But it is kind of a compliment because you’re taking something that’s supposed to be a fun moment for you and you’re making it about me… again.”

Earlier this year, Latto put Ice Spice on notice that she wants all the smoke. After Ice Spice confirmed her “Think U Da Shit (Fart)” single was a diss to Latto, the “Put It On Da Floor” rapper fired back with “Sunday Service.”

“Sunday Service” was teased online once Latto pulled up in Ice Spice’s Bronx neighborhood with Suburbans to film the video.

“Twenty black Suburbans, we pull up like Sunday Service
I just want a one on one, don’t know why she so nervous”

In the second verse, there may also be a jab at Nicki Minaj, who had an insane tweeting spree after Megan Thee Stallion’s “Hiss“:

Do you rap or do you tweet? ‘Cause I can’t tell, get in the booth, bitch
Stop all that motherfuckin’ yellin’, ho
‘Cause I ain’t buyin’ what you’re sellin’, ho

And then turned her attention right back to Ice Spice, flipping the “Fart” hook back on her:

Think I’m the shit? Bitch, I know it, ho
Jesus walked on water, I got ice boilin’ though

You can hear the whole song below.

Ice Spice Initially Understood Her ‘Friendly Competition’ With Latto, But Now She Thinks It’s ‘Just Dragged Out’

In January, Ice Spice dropped “Think U The Sh*t (Fart)” and quickly confirmed the song dissed Latto. Ice Spice and Latto have been caught in a perceived beef for months, and Ice Spice is over it.

“I feel like if we ever spoke, and I asked her ‘What’s the issue?’ it’d be like a blank stare,” Ice Spice told Rolling Stone as the cover star of the September 2024 issue. “It’d really be no issue whatsoever. Especially from me.”

The Bronx-bred rapper continued, “I can understand a friendly competition, but I just feel like at this point it’s a joke that she’s just dragged out, and it’s just not even funny. Like, bro, ‘Think U The Sh*t’ is from January. You’re going to post a piece of sh*t cake to announce something that’s good news for you? But it is kind of a compliment because you’re taking something that’s supposed to be a fun moment for you, and you’re making it about me … again.”

So, about the aforementioned cake: Last month, Latto posted a photo of a poop emoji cake with the message, “Think I’m the sh*t, b*tch?????” The cake was meant to congratulate Latto for becoming the first-ever woman to headline Atlanta’s Hot 107.9 Birthday Bash, as noted by Billboard.

Ice Spice has bigger things to worry about, anyway. Y2K!, her debut studio album, is set to release on Friday, July 26, and she has “crazy” and “risky” plans for the rest of 2024.

Y2K! is out 7/26 via 10K Projects/Capitol Records. Find more information here.

Ice Spice Does Not Understand Why Latto Has Beef With Her

The Ice Spice and Latto saga continues. In a new interview with Rolling Stone to ahead of the release of Ice’s debut album Y2K, she covered several topics. She spoke about her newfound success in the rap game, her role in the upcoming Spike Lee film High and Low, becoming friends with Taylor Swift, and, of course, her feud with Latto. The two have been taking shots at one another since early last year, if their fans are to be believed.

People speculated that Ice’s January single “Think U The Sh*t” is about Latto. Ice confirmed that it was, referencing a snippet of a song Latto played on her TikTok and the accompanying clip showing footage of an Ice Spice music video in the background. Ice called it a “weak-ass snippet” in a X space. Latto responded by filming her next music video in The Bronx, Ice’s hometown. The two have taken subtle digs at each other since then. When asked about her conflict with Latto directly, Ice did not attempt to skirt the question.

Ice Spice Addresses Latto Feud In Rolling Stone Cover Story

“I can understand a friendly competition, but I feel like at this point it’s a joke that she’s just dragged out, and it’s not even funny,” said Ice Spice. The perceived feud between the two has gone for over a year, with neither of them making direct statements toward each other. Latto recently said that she has no desire to battle Ice, as they operate in two different lanes. Ice seemingly confirmed that with her words in the Rolling Stone interview.

As far as their music careers are concerned, both Ice Spice and Latto are enjoying success. Latto recently featured on the K-pop singer Jung Kook’s track “Seven.” The track received platinum certification and became Latto’s first track to hit #1 on the Billboard Hot 100. Ice had two popular singles with Nicki Minaj, “Princess Diana” and “Barbie World,” the latter of which appeared on the Barbie soundtrack in 2023. “Boy’s A Liar, Pt. 2” with PinkPantheress went viral, becoming one of the biggest songs of last year. She also collaborated with Taylor Swift on a remix of Swift’s track “Karma,” nearly earning her a #1 single of her own. Y2K, her debut album, releases on July 26.

Latto Teased Her Upcoming Album ‘Sugar Honey Iced Tea’ With A Cinematic Trailer Featuring Atlanta Legends 2 Chainz & T.I.

Sugar Honey Iced Tea, Latto’s new album, has an official release date: August 9. The “Big Mama” rapper teased some of the album’s music with a cinematic trailer obviously inspired by the movie ATL, paying homage to her hometown with landmarks from all over the Big Peach (Cascade roller rink, what’s up!) and cameos from Georgia legends 2 Chainz and T.I. There’s even narration from Big Rube, making Sugar Honey Iced Tea a true ATL affair.

Among the songs teased in the trailer are the previously released “Big Mama,” a song featuring an appearance from SZA, and another that samples T.I.’s “24’s.” Check it out above.

Sugar Honey Iced Tea allegedly takes its title not only from the signature drink of the South, but also from Latto’s recent, short-lived battle of diss tracks with Ice Spice. With Ice lashing out with a song called “Think You U The Sh*t (Fart),” it’s kind of funny to think Latto would name her album after the “polite” acronym, offering an unrepentant response to Ice’s challenge. Yes, she thinks she’s the sh*t — so much so, that she’s going to make us all acknowledge it.

Sugar Honey Iced Tea is out on 8/9 through RCA Records. You can find more info here.
