After a hiatus from the social media platform, Jay-Z reappeared on August 29 with a fresh Instagram account and a profile picture showcasing his early rap career. His first post featured the trailer of The Book of Clarence, followed by the caption “The Book of Clarence January 2024.”

All About “The Book of Clarence”

Set to hit theaters on January 12, 2024, The Book of Clarence explores the journey of a man named Clarence, played by acclaimed actor LaKeith Stanfield, as he delves into faith and becomes a Messiah for his own personal gain.

 Clarence, a Jerusalemite man, becomes enamored with the influence of Jesus and embarks on a path to become a Messiah himself. With the release of the teaser trailer, viewers catch a tantalizing glimpse of LaKeith Stanfield’s mesmerizing portrayal of Clarence, as he aspires to become one of the Messiah’s apostles. 

Accompanying Stanfield in the cast are renowned actors Benedict Cumberbatch, David Oyelowo, Alfre Woodard, and Teyana Taylor, among others.

LaKeith Stanfield has revealed that he is both a husband and a father, recently marrying Kasmere Trice and welcoming a child. The name and gender of the baby have not been revealed.

Speaking with PEOPLE, Stanfield is embracing the change of becoming a parent, stating, “There’s life before being a parent, and then there’s life being a parent. It completely changes.”

On the topic of their child, Trice stated protection of their family was the ultimate goal.

“We just decided really early on, ‘We want to protect our baby as much as we can for as long as possible,’” said Trice. “And when it’s time for us to announce our child, our family, we do it our way.”

Stanfield added, “Being in the public eye can be something that’s amazing, but it can also be something that is very hard on you. There need to be things that exist that are not sacred and not consumption for everybody.”

Trice and Stanfield also offered Instagram Posts detailing their romance and new journey as parents.

LaKeith Stanfield has been laying relatively low in recent months, but as you may recall, the Sorry to Bother You actor began his 2023 on a rough note. At the time, a woman in her mid-20s, Tylor Hurd, made it known that he’s neglecting to spend time with the child they share together. News of Stanfield being a father came as a shock to his fans, but rather than allowing the hateful comments to push him back toward his co-parent, he’s been busy building a life with Kasmere Trice, who he proposed to late last year.

On Wednesday (July 26), PEOPLE confirmed that the pair have since married – and welcomed a baby boy together. Stanfield happily shared the news with the public via Instagram this afternoon, writing, “If you’re fortunate enough in this life, you get to see your wildest imaginations manifested before your eyes,” in the caption of his photo dump. “I am endlessly grateful to God for being able to achieve some of those things. The best part of it all was being gifted by the most high, a gorgeously intelligent and spiritually magnetic person to share life with.”

LaKeith Stanfield says that the holidays are a beautiful time to bond with loved ones in “the midst of any kind of climate.” The statement on Instagram comes after a woman exposed the actor as the father of her newborn child.

“Back to work. Loved the holidays and spending time with family,” Stanfield began. “Some really great moments with loved ones. Beautiful time with my fiancé and the reinforcement of our bond in the midst of any kind of climate.”

The drama went down, last weekend, after Stanfield and his girlfriend, Kasmere Trice, announced their engagement. Afterward, artist Tylor Hurd shared photos of Stanfield with her daughter and claiming that he is the father.

“Decided to leave being someone’s secret family in 2022,” Hurd captioned the photo. She has since deleted the post.

Before Hurd took it down, Standfield commented: “Thanks for respecting my not wanting to blast my child out to the internet. Very considerate of you.”

Hurd later fired back: “Value your privacy is why you lied to people saying she wasn’t your baby or that I was just a random? you value your privacy but your gf post everything y’all do lol okay.”

“I never once in my life said she wasn’t my baby,” Stanfield continued, “I hope this does whatever it was supposed to do for you.”

Actor and musician LaKeith Stanfield recently posted a cute New Year’s photo with his fiancée, model Kasmere Trice. Moreover, they posed for a pic after astounding revelations this week that Stanfield had a secret baby with artist Tylor Hurd also known as 730t.

He simply captioned the post with “Happy new year!” Furthermore, the picture shows the couple dressed in all-white in front of a glamorous Christmas tree. There are decorations galore, plus a sea of tables from beyond the windows where you can see some guests. Also, it’s one of a few social media posts that have either enamored fans or made them jealous.

However, their relationship took a wild turn when the baby daddy revelations emerged right before 2023. The 31-year-old’s baby mama posted a video to her social media celebrating the birth of their daughter Apollo. Later, many criticized the news coming so soon after LaKeith announced his engagement. Still, Hurd’s words put things in a different context.

“Decided to leave being someone’s secret family in 2022. Meet Apollo Stanfield,” she wrote in her post. As backlash, shock, and sympathy came in from fans and regular users alike, she returned to IG to explain.

“Just to clear a few things up, I’m not jealous that he’s engaged to a woman he’s known for five months,” she wrote. “I tried to meet the girl and everything and she ignored me when I tried.” 

“What I’m upset about is that he’s made more time to spend with this woman than he’s spent with Apollo her whole life,” she continued. “[He’s] been actively ignoring me when I’m trying to figure things out for our child. Sometimes, good news comes with some bad news as well. LaKeith Stanfield recently proposed to his girlfriend, but 24-year-old artist Tylor Hurd said that he is her daughter’s father. Moreover, she said that he’s been absent from her daughter Apollo’s life. Afterwards, old tweets of hers resurfaced that give credence to her confession.

However, it all started with an Instagram post she made sharing a TikTok of her maternity. In the clip, the Atlanta actor made various appearances, whether it was dancing with the child or holding her up. “Decided to leave being someone’s secret family in 2022,” she captioned the post. “Meet Apollo Stanfield.”

After many criticized her for sharing this bomb right when Stanfield proposed, she explained her situation. “Just to clear a few things up, I’m not jealous that he’s engaged to a woman he’s known for five months. I tried to meet the girl and everything and she ignored me when I tried.

“What I’m upset about,” she continued, “is that he’s made more time to spend with this woman than he’s spent with Apollo her whole life, and has been actively ignoring me when I’m trying to figure things out for our child. And those clips of him and her together are all I have in general cause he barely sees her.”

Furthermore, Hurd’s old tweets contain similar grievances and frustrations. Specifically, people are pointing to a December 23rd tweet from before this was all revealed.

“Dating a man with kids and being okay with him choosing holidays with you over his kids and y’all only been dating for 4 months says a lot about you not just him,” she tweeted. “Y’all both trifling.”

While this came about a week before the revelations, the big news didn’t come with a lack of details. Subsequently, Hurd (also known as 730t) tweeted some more about the relationship.

“I really feel a weight lifted off my shoulders,” she wrote. “Finding out the man you had a baby with is the worst person you ever met is heartbreaking fr.”

“He’s not a good dad lol i can count on my hand how many times he’s been with my girl,” she continued. “I got a job and he agreed to get the nanny never got the nanny. I always did my part and always tried to give him grace.”

For what it’s worth, Stanfield responded in since-deleted comments to the ordeal. “Thanks for respecting my not wanting to blast my child out to the internet. Very considerate of you,” he wrote.

Hurd responded as well. “Value your privacy, is that why you lied to people saying she wasn’t your baby or that I was just a random? You value your privacy but your gf post everything y’all do lol okay.”

Finally, the Sorry To Bother You actor responded with, “I never once in life said she wasn’t my baby. I hope this does whatever it was supposed to do for you… My adult relationship privacy and children are two different things. I’m sure you realize that.”

The couple became Instagram official just a few months ago. Already, the Sorry To Bother You performer has surprisingly put a ring on it. On Friday (December 30), his partner said on Twitter that her birthday was extra special this year thanks to a proposal.

“Yea… I’m having the best birthday,” she wrote yesterday above beautiful images of the ring, as well as one of the couple sightseeing together. “My baby made me Mrs. Stanfield for my birthday! #LaKeithAndKasmereForever.”

While many have been celebrating the exciting news (and expressing their envy, of course), it seems a woman from Stanfield’s past has a big announcement of her own. On Saturday (December 31), 24-year-old artist Tylor Hurd posted a video revealing herself as the mother of his child.

“Decided to leave being someone’s secret family in 2022. Meet Apollo Stanfield,” she wrote in the caption. Throughout the TikTok, various photos and videos flash across the screen. We see maternity shots of the young woman alone. Next, there’s her after giving birth and the young one’s growth throughout the months.

Additionally, Stanfield appears in some of the footage. He goofily dances as the infant watches on in amusement, and smiles while holding the little one at an arcade.

After she was hit with criticism for sharing her truth so close to her baby daddy’s engagement, Hurd’s social media lit up with a message. “Just to clear a few things up, I’m not jealous that he’s engaged to a woman he’s known for five months.”

Lakeith Stanfield Voids His Phone’s Warranty In SZA’s ‘I Hate U’ Visualizer

With the third season premiere of FX’s hit show Atlanta set for next March, fans face an agonizingly long wait to find out what happens to our guys Earn, Alfred, and Darius. Until then, though, they’re filling the days with a vast array of fascinating projects. Brian Tyree Henry, who plays Al — aka Paper Boi — just made his debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as The Eternals‘ Phastos and is currently on post-production for the Fox animated comedy Housebroken, while Donald Glover, the show’s creator and star as Earn, is finishing up his TV series remake of spy rom-com Mr. & Mrs. Smith.

Meanwhile, Lakeith Stanfield, the mysterious and off-beat Darius, is coming off a thrilling turn as cowboy Cherokee Bill in the Western fantasy The Harder They Fall. He’s also fond of doing surprise side projects like popping up in the visualizer for SZA’s new hit single, “I Hate U,” which dropped today, three weeks after the song broke an Apple Music streaming record. In the clip, Lakeith is the poor fella on the receiving end of SZA’s wrath, arguing with her over the phone while standing alone on a windswept bluff overlooking a stormy beach. When he receives the final, relationship-ending text, he’s overcome with the loss and chucks his iPhone in the ocean — which is something I don’t think Apple Care covers. The video closes with the cryptic message “Not the end,” which SZA fans are sure to interpret as a signal that the long-awaited follow-up to her acclaimed debut album CTRL is on the way.
