Bad Bunny’s “WHERE SHE GOES” Single May Come With A Kendall Jenner Tribute

Bad Bunny’s fans were expecting 2023 to be a big year for him as soon as he was announced as a headliner at Coachella. The Puerto Rican conquered the stage two weekends in a row there (even when faced with technical difficulties), and has since gone on to release two new singles. The first, “un x100to,” previously saw the rapper switching up his style to work with Grupo Frontera. On the latter, “WHERE SHE GOES,” Bunny operates solo. However, he did tap a handful of friends to join him for the music video while seemingly dropping hints about his relationship with Kendall Jenner.

Benito and the supermodel have been linked for some time now, with their joint public appearances obviously growing more frequent as of late. As Entertainment Tonight notes, the lyrics to “WHERE SHE GOES” focus on the Latin star’s romantic evening with a woman living rent-free in his mind. “I like your flow / Quietly you always steal the show,” his Spanish words read when translated to English. In the visual, an angel appears to Bad Bunny at one point, which some fans are speculating is a nod to Jenner’s history of walking in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.

Elsewhere in the video, the 29-year-old crashes a bonfire party and meets up with friends like Dominic Fike, Lil Uzi Vert, Sabrina Zada, and Kanye West’s ex-girlfriend, Juliana Nalú. Viewers were also happy to see the return of BB’s fellow Coachella headliner, Frank Ocean, who’s been keeping a relatively low profile since cancelling his second-weekend set at the festival.

As TMZ reports, Sunday (May 14) saw them step out together once again, this time both wearing all black for a party at Giorgio Baldi in Santa Monica. The event was in celebration of Travis Bennett, better known to hip-hop heads as Yung Taco. Another famous favourite, Tyler, The Creator, was in attendance as well. He and Jenner are longtime friends, and the Californian appears to be forming a strong bond with Bunny too as they were filmed hanging out in Puerto Rico together earlier this month.

After dipping from the restaurant, Taco’s friends moved over to Shorebar for further celebrations. Others spotted at the same location last night include Winnie Harlow and Kyle Kuzma, as well as The Great Gatsby co-stars Leonardo DiCaprio and Tobey Maguire. The NBA Playoffs are going on right now, and since the Los Angeles Lakers are in the mix this year, celebrities have been flocking to Crypto.com Arena to watch LeBron James and company play. Bad Bunny and Kendall Jenner turned up to their May 12 contest against the Golden State Warriors, and while there, they pair inadvertently became a meme.

An image of the two has been making the rounds since then, a TV screenshot that shows Bad Bunny talking into Jenner’s ear while she sports an expression of confusion or disinterest. People immediately picked up on the fact that the image bears a strong resemblance to the 2011 “Bro Explaining” meme and its derivatives, like the Milk Edinburgh club photo, “John Silver Explaining to Anna Jay,” and “Girl Explaining.” In all of them, the idea is that it’s a photo of two people, one seemingly giving a passionate explanation about something while the other appears uninterested.

So yes, memes were made.

Merriam-Webster (the folks behind the dictionary) had a good showing here, coming through with, “‘IRREGARDLESS’ HAS BEEN AROUND SINCE 1795. After the game, the Warriors conceded that they were not a “championship team” this season. The Lakers will play the Denver Nuggets in the next round.

Now the Kardashian-Jenner dynasty has a long history of dating NBA players. While most of the athletes linked to the family are former flames of Khloé, Kim and Kendall have also had their basketball romances. Kim briefly dated Kris Humphries, who retired in 2017. In case you missed it, Bad Bunny just headlined Coachella. The singer electrified the crowd with his exciting set this past weekend. The singer brought out a star-studded lineup of artists like Post Malone, Jhay Cortez, and Ñengo Flow, which added to the crowd’s already palpable excitement. However, Bad Bunny is getting some unfortunately negative attention online for something else entirely. Bad Bunny, or rather his team, seems to have started a war with Harry Styles fans. “Our intention is to create light hearted designs that embody Bad Bunny’s personality and amplify the experience he presents as a performer,” his team said. “The request from the artist during the visuals for ‘El Apagón’ performance was to use the image only and not text from the tweet, which we take responsibility for and correct it for Friday’s performance.” So, as it stands, the inclusion of the tweet was accidental and not something Bad Bunny approved.
