Kanye West’s Jonah Hill & “21 Jump Street” Post Gets Response From Directors

Kanye West’s return to Instagram, thanking Jonah Hill in the film 21 Jump Street for making him “like Jewish people again” got a response from the film’s directors. Moreover, it was a pretty weird and still incredibly tone deaf post that caused many to clown or further criticize him. Still, as many fans pointed out, he could’ve said much worse. “Watching Jonah Hill in 21 Jump street made me like Jewish people again,” the Chicago rapper wrote. “No one should take anger against one or two individuals and transform that into hatred towards millions of innocent people. No Christian can be labeled antisemite knowing Jesus is Jew. Thank you Jonah Hill I love you.”

Furthermore, both Phil Lord and Christopher Miller (who directed the film) had cheeky, brief, and comical responses to Ye’s proclamation. “Um… thanks for watching?” Miller tweeted with a screenshot of the post in question. On his end, Lord retweeted and replied to a tweet asking if there’s anything the directing duo can’t do. “Laughter is the best medicine,” Phil commented in response. However, Hill hasn’t spoken on that message yet, presumably because he doesn’t have social media.

“21 Jump Street” Directors Respond To Kanye West

Of course, it was only a matter of time before Kanye made some form of a comeback on social media, if only in the literal sense. He’s been laying relatively low for the past few months, with his most discussed behavior being his paparazzi interactions while out with wife Bianca Censori. While he’s not making the explosive and combative statements that sent public goodwill through a downward spiral, this seemed backhanded to many out there. More than that, it doesn’t indicate any understanding of wrongdoing, although it’s the typical Gram antic from the Yeezy mogul at this point.

Meanwhile, Amber Rose and Julia Fox both shared their experiences dating the 45-year old on the latter’s Forbidden Fruits podcast. Moreover, they discussed his tendency to make everything about him, whether it’s playing his music all the time or being the most well-known person in the room. Regardless, it’s clear that some of that attitude translates into him believing his Jonah Hill shout-out was warranted. Check out Miller’s response below and, for the latest news and updates on Kanye West, stick around on HNHH.

Jay Electronica “Can’t Wait” For Kanye West’s Next Move

Jay Electronica just went on a Twitter rampage, a salient point of which was that he “can’t wait” for Kanye West’s next move. Of course, this should worry many people out there considering the controversies and harmful statements he’s been involved in recently. However, at least the media cycle around him has grown ever so slightly more moderated over the past few months. Regardless, Jay went at religion and non-believers, he called out many celebrities directly asking them if they believed in God, and unleashed small but loaded statements. While he’s gotten in trouble in the past for his controversial views, this was more of a weird tirade than anything else.

“I can’t wait for Ye to bust y’all heads wide open w his next maneuver. Godspeed Ye,” he shared on Twitter. Another notable tweet he fired off was inviting YoungBoy to join the Nation of Islam, probably after he found out that he was considering Mormon baptism. “Tell NBA Youngboy i said come to Islam and be the great Commander of [men] God intends for you,” the 46-year-old shared.

Jay Electronica “Can’t Wait” For Kanye’s Return

Despite his public persona becoming more divisive, his catalog remains elusive but incredibly celebrated. Sure, he’s not the most prolific or grandiose of lyricists, but his verses always create somewhat of a moment. For example, he contributed to Ye’s lengthy “Jesus Lord” track off his album Donda. In addition, he apparently told Kevin Durant last year that new music is on the way. Perhaps he’s looking to make a grand return.

Meanwhile, the most recent bit of Jay Electron’ news was a curious anecdote from Hit-Boy. “Jay electronica called me randomly while me and Nas were working on ‘Hood2Hood,’” the producer tweeted. Moreover, he was referencing a set of bars on that track that were inspired by the following exchange. “And i put him on speaker he said ‘if y’all in there working on more music i’m coming to shoot the studio up’ jokingly of course.” A humorous but also extreme person, he was blasted for similarly antisemitic views to that of Kanye’s, albeit less extreme. One of those is his consistent use of the phrase “synagogue of Satan.” However, as long his skill isn’t hampered by his controversial rhetoric, he’ll likely keep his acclaimed career. Regardless, come back to HNHH for the latest updates on Kanye West and Jay Electronica.

Kanye West Defaults In “Donda” Sample Lawsuit From Boogie Down Productions

Kanye West faced default judgement in court after he failed to respond to a sample clearance lawsuit from Boogie Down Productions over the Donda track “Life of the Party” featuring André 3000. Moreover, he took the hip-hop pioneering group’s 1986 cut, “South Bronx.” Furthermore, the song’s copyright holders (Phase One Network) sued Ye and Kano Computing (who created the Donda-affiliated Stem Player). Also, they targeted Def Jam Recordings and others last year for copyright infringement in the case. They claimed the Chicago rapper never cleared the sample and sent a post-facto request in July 2021. Then, his team retracted it November of that year, and released it on the Stem Player anyway.

According to court documents obtained by AllHipHop, the Clerk of Court for New York’s Southern District submitted an entry of default on Wednesday (March 8). In addition, Phase One had requested such actions back in January. “I, Ruby J. Krajick, Clerk of the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York, do hereby certify that this action was commenced on November 7, 2022 with the filing of a summons and complaint, a copy of the summons and complaint was served on defendant Ye … by delivery of a true copy of each to Defendant Ye, and proof was therefore filed on January 26, 2023,” the documents stated.

Kanye Wests Defaults In Lawsuit From Boogie Down Productions “Donda” Sample

“I further certify that the docket entries indicate that Defendant Ye has failed to plead or otherwise defend the action,” they added. “The default of Defendant Ye is hereby noted.” Not only that, but Phase One elaborated on their qualms in its suit. “The West parties retracted the licensing request despite having already incorporated ‘South Bronx’ into the Infringing Track, distributed the infringing track through the Stem Player and its associated website, and incorporated the Infringing Track into the Infringing Advertisements.”

Meanwhile, the Yeezy mogul also faces a sample lawsuit over a track from Donda 2. This time, Ultra International Music Publishing (UIMP) sued him for an unauthorized sample of Marshall Jefferson’s “Move Your Body.” Moreover, the 1986 track in question appeared on Kanye’s “Flowers.” What’s more is that they claim he knew he sampled it without permission. Instead of clearing it, UIMP claims he “continue[d] to willfully infringe in blatant disregard of UIMP’s rights of ownership.” Regardless of your take, log back into HNHH for the latest news and updates on Kanye West.

Kanye West’s Dating History

Kanye West, 45, is easily one of music’s biggest icons, as his creative genius is both emotionally moving and intellectually developed. Not only do his rhythmic lyrics of poetic rap make him a standout in the music industry, but his many accolades prove he’s one of the greatest, as not many artists articulate their musical ability the way West does. His 4X platinum debut album, The College Dropout, also named to Rolling Stone’s 500 Greatest Albums of All Time. It showcased West’s musical outlook through his emotive lyrics and layered beats influenced by genres alike. His albums to follow like Graduation, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, and Watch The Throne would soon preview West as the influential artist that he is to this day.

With 22 Grammy awards, West is one of the most decorated artists of our generation. When his first three studio albums were nominated for Album of the Year at the Grammys, Rolling Stone was quick to name West as one of the 100 Greatest Songwriters of All Time alongside artists like Jay-Z, Michael Jackson, and Elton John.

Though the Chicago-based rapper has dedicated most of his life to generating, creating, and producing music, West made the time to become a father of four with entrepreneur and model Kim Kardashian, 42. Focused on his life outside of music like fatherhood and his infamous Sunday Services of praise and prayer, West has taken a step back from the “ultralight beam”. He is now focused on his new relationship with architect and Yeezy designer Bianca Censori, 27.

Currently not only linked but married to Censori, West tied the knot just months after his public divorce from Kardashian. Though West and Censori had a private wedding ceremony, the two have yet to file a marriage certificate. Therefore, their marriage is not completely legal. With a master’s in building design from Melbourne University in Australia, it’s no wonder West is attracted to Censori, as she displays a calm demeanor and knowledgeable intellect, just opposite of West’s extroverted eccentricity. Though the two share their creativity, there’s yet to be much information on the newlyweds other than West’s tribute to his wife in his new song,Censori Overload“, where he raps, “Waking up to I can’t do this anymore texts, and the Bible said I can’t have any more sex till marriage.”

Before Censori, West was “bound to” Kardashian in a seven-year marriage beginning in 2014 with their destination wedding in Italy. The divorcées share children, North, 9, Saint, 7, Chicago, 5, and Psalm, 3. Though West reportedly bought the mansion across the street from Kardashian’s Calabasas home, Kardashian bought it back from him and states that the two have zero communication in their co-parenting settlement where Kardashian is receiving $200,000 a month from West. Throughout their marriage, Kardashian showed West support in his controversial campaign to run for President, among many other public antics from West. The two seemingly fell for each other long before their relationship started but made a clear break from one another after their divorce was finalized in 2022.

Julia Fox Says Kanye West Would Constantly Text Her

Before West wed his second wife Censori in 2023, he was in a public relationship with model Julia Fox, 32. Fox says that West was very persistent in courting her, saying he would constantly text her. Though she was apprehensive to date another “boring” celebrity, Fox was soon to give in to her feelings for West. Fox claims she was only trying to distract West so he wouldn’t bother Kardashian, but their public relationship seemingly manifested into more than just texting, as Fox states that she and West had many deep conversations about hopes and dreams. Fox ended their relationship after two months due to West regaining his Twitter access and taking to social media again. “I’m not gonna stick around for this s**t,” says Fox in an online rant about the breakup. The two remain on good terms.

Chaney Jones Gets “Ye” Tattooed on Her Wrist

Instagram model Chaney Jones, 24, has also been linked to West. The two dated for 5 months after West and Fox broke off their relationship. Facing backlash for dating Jones because she is a close look-alike to Kardashian, Jones and West got pretty close. So close that Jones got the rapper’s name tattooed on her left wrist where it displays “ye.” From courtside basketball games to shopping trips and vacations, the two spent so much time together. They became official over social media where they both gushed about one another on photos posted of them together. The two officially broke it off after West was seen with another woman at the movies. Neither Jones nor West has commented much on the split.

Long before his most recent public relationships, West can be linked to multiple women in Hollywood including entrepreneur Amber Rose, 39, model Irina Shayk, 37, stylist Alexis Phifer, 46, and Pussycat Doll singer Melody Thornton, 38. However, West’s most high-profile relationship was with Rose between 2008 and 2010 before they split to be with other people. West went as far as rapping about the model in multiple songs on his album My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. Rose commented on his lyrics saying, “Don’t get me wrong, I’ll hear songs and I’m like, ‘Oh, he said that about me? No one knows what he’s talking about but me and him. People can’t decipher. They’ll be like, that’s a cool song, and I’m like, that happened to us when we were together.

West Signs New Deal With Adidas

Recently, West has been spotted both alone and with his wife Censori. He had a few run-ins with the paparazzi. But it was while he was on his way to support his children. So he wasn’t as sporadic as he tends to be when triggered by the media. Though controversies continue to arise for West, he has solidified a deal with Adidas after he was terminated in 2022 for antisemitic comments. His new deal will allow for the sales of $500 million in Yeezy products to continue.

As of late, the impassioned rapper is only releasing music on his personal platform, Stem Player for $200 stating, “Today artists get just 12 [percent] of the money the industry makes. It’s time to free music from this oppressive system. It’s time to take control and build our own.” West’s last release was Donda 2 in 2022. Though you’ll only be able to listen on Stem Player, West stays adamant on his decision to polarize his platform.

Unreleased Kanye West Song From “808s & Heartbreak” Sessions Surfaces Online

An unreleased Kanye West song, supposedly from the 808s & Heartbreak sessions, just surfaced online. Of course, it’s impossible to confirm for sure that it came from those sessions, but there are some strong hints. Any superfans of the cult classic album know that the autotune and cold, minimal beat on here is classic 808s. Moreover, the track is titled “I’ll Be Alright” on SoundCloud, and you can tell Kanye laid down some reference mumbled vocals to work on later. After all, he’s prone to release reference tracks as verses or full songs of his own, and he might have the most revered leaked discography in the game.

For example, his album Yandhi preceded the fan disappointment Jesus Is King, and those tracks never saw the light of day. Well, most of them at least, as “Use This Gospel” and “Selah” landed on the aforementioned album, whereas “Hurricane” landed on Donda. As such, it’s never out of the question to think a Ye leak could eventually manifest into something larger. While a lot of people criticized the Chicago rapper mumbling over his tracks for years, it’s no secret that the production carries that expressive delivery on its shoulders.

Kanye West’s Unreleased “808s” Era Song Sees Light Of Day

Still, it’s a bit hard to enjoy a track from the Yeezy mogul these days given his bigoted and hostile rhetoric. Following multiple instances of antisemitic comments, exclusionary statements, and media meltdowns, public favor of West dwindled to an all-time low. However, many of those who feel the strongest about his deplorable behavior are some of his biggest fans. As such, it’s become interesting to look at Kanye’s music almost as a point against him, or a comparison to himself that makes his past and current values contradict.

Meanwhile, the 45-year-old’s been relatively off of that media cycle for the past few months. Conversation around him hasn’t dwindled, but much of it surrounds his marriage and outings with Bianca Censori. They had a few notable paparazzi run-ins recently, some more hostile than others. Overall, hopefully less photographers and media following him will allow for the internal reflection and healing that many think will suit him best. Regardless, check out “I’ll Be Alright” above and return to HNHH for the latest news and updates from afar on Kanye West.

Kanye West & Wife Bianca Censori Look Happy In New Paparazzi Photos

After so many incidents of rants, phone-throwing, and verbal attacks, it seems like the paparazzi and Ye can finally get along. Moreover, paparazzi spotted Kanye West and his wife Bianca Censori smiling as they walked to dinner. In comparison to their usual stoic and defensive demeanor, the two seemed to be in a good mood. Heads held high, looking with no fear in photographers’ direction, and, of course, in matching black outfits. While people can only guess as to what they smiled about, renegotiation rumors with Adidas might have the rapper in high spirits.

Meanwhile, this comes after multiple headlines moments from the couple where Kanye antagonized photographers following them around. “I still got rights as a man,” he told a photographer of his privacy a couple of weeks ago. “I still got rights as a man. You ain’t taking no more photos. And tell everybody else they ain’t taking no more photos of my wife. You want me to follow you and your wife? Let me take pictures of your wife? I’mma start taking pictures of your wife.”

Kanye West In Happy Spirits, Paparazzi Reveal

Still, it’s not like that’s been context for every single recorded Ye outing over the past couple of months. Despite his dwindling and all-time low public image, every move is still enough to entice fans’ curiosity, albeit perhaps in a weird “just-can’t-look-away” manner. For example, he recently went to see the film Infinity Pool with fellow disgraced music executive Russell Simmons and producer 88-Keys. In addition, although their union isn’t legal yet, Censori’s already met some of the former fashion mogul’s children. The couple went to dinner with North just a few weeks after they tied the knot, although it’s unclear whether she’s met his other kids.

However, most people’s eyes are now on the rumors of a deal between Kanye West and Adidas, who previously dropped him following bigoted antisemitic remarks and rhetoric. While nothing’s official yet, they’re rumored to have struck a deal to sell all remaining Yeezy inventory. Not only would it help out the company’s current financial dire straits, but Ye could cash out before dipping back out of the public eye. Either way it goes, come back to HNHH for the latest news, updates, and surprises from Kanye West.

Kanye West Has Another Heated Paparazzi Encounter, Defends His Rights & Wife

Kanye West just engaged in another confrontational encounter with paparazzi. Moreover, a new video shared by DJ Akademiks from The Hollywood Fix shows an argument between the rapper and an onlooker. Furthermore, the video starts with someone in the distance yelling out at Ye. “Can you hear?” the paparazzi asks the Chicago artist. “You’re famous, bro. That’s what I’m taking it for, it’s nothing else.” However, West responded by defending his rights to privacy. “But I still got rights as a man,” he replied. “I still got rights as a man.”

“You ain’t taking no more photos,” the Yeezy mogul continued. “And tell everybody else they ain’t taking no more photos of my wife. You want me to follow you and your wife? Let me take pictures of your wife? I’mma start taking pictures of your wife.” As Kanye retorts, you can hear the photographer say that he’s leaving, and doesn’t want to take any more pictures. In fact, it seems this incident occurred outside of a West Hollywood police station. Previously, many outlets reported that West sought to resolve his issues with paparazzi with police. While many assumed that he turned over a new leaf in terms of his behavior towards them, it seems he’s still getting in altercations.

However, this recent argument could’ve turned much more serious, as we saw a few weeks ago. Moreover, the 45-year-old faces a battery investigation for an incident with paparazzi and the general public. When they spotted Kanye leaving his daughter North’s basketball game, he lashed out at photographers and onlookers. In fact, things got into such a discussion that he reached into a woman’s car as she filmed him. Then, he grabbed her phone and threw it away in the middle of the street. From what video of the incident shows, multiple citizens witnessed the altercation.

Meanwhile, his recent outbursts at paparazzi reflect a frustration with media coverage of his many escapades. For one, many people hyper-focused on his new wife, Bianca Censori, and followed the couple around. Of course, these pursuits for updates on the “Yikes” artist follow his public reckoning for antisemitic and bigoted rhetoric. As such, only Ye’s response and handling of these situations can shift what the public wants to see. Regardless, come back to HNHH for the latest news and updates on Kanye West.

Kanye West Visits Police Station To Report Alleged Paparazzi Incident

Kanye West isn’t exactly well-known for his amicable relationship with paparazzi, so much so that he took matters to a police station. Moreover, TMZ reports that the Chicago rapper went to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s West Hollywood station on Tuesday afternoon (February 14). Apparently, the publication’s law enforcement sources stated that he told deputies about an incident with paparazzi. Furthermore, Kanye allegedly asked them to stop recoding his family at some point earlier in the day. While the interaction almost turned sour, he maintained that there was no escalation of violence.

LOS ANGELES, CA – OCTOBER 21: Kanye West is seen on October 21, 2022 in Los Angeles, California (Photo by MEGA/GC Images)

However, this incident is another occurrence in Ye’s paparazzi saga, a recent chapter of which saw him throw a woman’s phone away. In fact, the Yeezy mogul’s actions resulted in a battery investigation after a heated exchange. As people recorded him during his daughter North’s basketball game, he got into many arguments. During the arguments, a woman filming him refused to put the camera down at his request. As such, the rapper lost his temper, reached into the woman’s car to grab the phone, and threw it away.

Still, this new approach is decidedly more calm than his previous actions. However, it’s unclear whether other evidence or stories support Kanye’s testimony. Regardless of his photographer troubles, they still managed to spot him on Valentine’s Day with his wife Bianca Censori. Though the two haven’t spoken publicly about their relationship, their public appearances do give at least some insight. Moreover, they went to a movie theater to catch a film alongside music executive Russell Simmons. While he reportedly relocated to Bali after multiple sexual assault accusations, he smiled alongside the couple in snapped pics. Given Ye’s proximity to far-right figures, antisemitic rhetoric, and controversial figures, this latest outing only adds fuel to that fire.

Meanwhile, the dangerously shifting political ideology of Kanye West will be the subject of a new BBC documentary and podcast. Reportedly, the doc is tentatively titled We Need To Talk About Kanye. Furthermore, Deadline provided a description of its focus. “Unfolding against the backdrop of West aka Ye’s 2024 U.S. election campaign, and at a time when his anti-Semitic rantings and behavior have sparked outrage and a re-evaluation of his place in popular culture, the one-off documentary follows Azhar as he attempts to understand the complex journey that led the singer to become one of the most famous and creatively successful artists of his generation.”

Consequence Addresses Kanye West & J. Cole’s History

Consequence recently addressed the rift between J. Cole and Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music camp. Moreover, he specifically reference Cole’s disses towards the Yeezy mogul on his 2016 loosie, “False Prophets.” Furthermore, on an episode of The Art of Dialogue podcast, Con said he gave Cole a cameo on his 2007 music video for “Callin’ Me.” Also, he expressed that the North Carolina spitter took no issue with Kanye when his career started to take off.

CENTURY CITY, CA – FEBRUARY 19: (L-R) Kanye West and J. Cole attend the 5th Annual “Two Kings” Dinner at Craft on February 19, 2011 in Century City, California. (Photo by Johnny Nunez/WireImage)

“Whatever prompted J. Cole to write [“False Prophets”] … and it touched him spirit wise in that way…” he remarked. “When he was trying to get on, it wasn’t no “False Prophets” then, It was how do I get to the profit margin? I could’ve signed J. Cole but we was transitioning from out of Sony. J. Cole used to go to St. John’s. Myself, B. Dot from Rap Radar, we all went to the same barber shop. They played me [his music] and I met him, he was cool. I just wasn’t in the frame of mind to do it.”

Ye & Cole’s Amends

Furthermore, the “No Role Modelz” MC took aim at Ye’s ego, erratic behavior, and “half-assed” musical output as of late on his track. However, Consequence clarified that, since then, things have smoothed out. Moreover, he recalled speaking to Dreamville co-founder Ibrahim “Ib” Hamad. “I actually spoke to Ibrahim when there was the situation with J. Cole and Ye,” he explained. “And we pretty much put that to bed. Me and Ibrahim had a man-to-man talk about pretty much what I’m discussing. Drake and J. Cole always come at it like, ‘Y’all OGs.’ And in fairness to them, we gotta behave like that.”

Meanwhile, the Queens native recently defended the controversial Chicago rapper on multiple occasions. For example, he recently scolded Pusha T for not standing by his G.O.O.D. Music partner amid his recent controversies. “Pusha T told you all the street shit and now we doing this industry shit?” he asked. “Nah. Now, in fairness, does Pusha T have a right to distance himself from situations he don’t want to be in? Yeah. He a man. Do those two have grievances behind the scenes that are not being spoke about? Yes, they do. So part of this shit is kinda cap.” Regardless, check back in with HNHH for the latest on these artists and whether their trajectories cross again.

Kanye West Finally Dropped By Lawyers

An NYC law firm successfully served Kanye West documents to drop him as a client after he spent months M.I.A.. Moreover, AllHipHop reported that Greenberg Traurig, LLP successfully cut ties with Ye as of Wednesday (February 1). The firm requested to officialize this process as early as at least November 30. In this new filing, attorney Nina D. Boyajian said they finally presented the documents thanks to some help from the Chicago rapper’s new attorney. Previously, Traurig took out two newspaper ads in California to publicly renounce their relationship and association with Kanye.

LOS ANGELES, CA – OCTOBER 21: Kanye West is seen on October 21, 2022 in Los Angeles, California. (Photo by Rachpoot/Bauer-Griffin/GC Images)

“On January 18, 2023, an attorney based in California contacted my firm advising that he would be representing ‘Ye on some of his legal matters,’” she wrote in the court documents. “During the course of several emails and a phone call with this attorney, I requested that he coordinate personal service of the Order on Ye.” Furthermore, Boyajian continued, “On February 1, 2023, the attorney referenced above emailed me the executed Certificate of Service attached hereto as Exhibit A. I declare under penalty of perjury under the laws of the United States of America that the foregoing is true and correct.”

Moreover, they claimed last month that they were unable to locate Kanye to officially sever their ties. In fact, they even requested the courts to recognize a public announcement in the Los Angeles area as sufficient notice. Still, they intended their newspaper ads to contribute to a “multi-prong approach” to get him to notice, and apparently it worked. “Publication of the Withdrawal Order’s contents in two Los Angeles-area newspapers, where Ye appears to reside, will also apprise him of the Withdrawal Order,” the filing read.

However, U.S. District Judge Analisa Torres denied requests to make the separation official. Moreover, she expressed doubt in Greenberg Traurig exhausting all their efforts to contact the rapper directly. The law firm represented Ye in a case against Ultra International Music Publishing over an uncleared Donda 2 sample. Said case stems from a June complaint to a U.S. District Court in New York. It claimed that “Flowers” by Kanye sampled Marshall Jefferson’s 1986 Chicago house classic “Move Your Body” without proper compensation. With or without a legal team, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest on Kanye West.
