Seth Rogen Jokes ‘21 Jump Street’ Should Be Sent ‘Around the World’ After Kanye’s Jonah Hill Remarks

Seth Rogen Laughs At Kanye West’s Jonah Hill Apology Post

Kanye West had everyone mildly confused on Saturday when he issued an apology for the hateful comments he made toward the Jewish community. The Chicago rap star shared a photo of the 21 Jump Street theatrical poster and praised Jonah Hill (who refused to acknowledge the artist’s comments) for making him “like Jewish people again.” Major organizations like the American Jewish Committee and Stop Antisemitism rejected the apology as it didn’t come across with sincerity.

However, Seth Rogen feels as though the tongue-in-cheek apology could be a sign of Kanye West finally taking accountability. Rogan sat down with CinemaBlend to discuss the Super Mario Bros. Movie but he also provided a reaction to Ye’s post. After cackling at the post, Seth Rogen said that he’ll allow Jonah Hill to “have it.” “Happy to be left out of that one. But you know what? Good! Cured! They should send that movie around the world, let everyone watch it,” Seth Rogen said. “I wrote some jokes for that movie, so I feel slight ownership.”

Seth Rogen Laughs At Kanye West’s Apology

Ye’s recent apology a few months after a disastrous beginning to his press campaign. The man behind “Bound 2,” which Seth Rogen and James Franco parodied, went on a months-long media run, specifically on right-wing platforms, where he spewed anti-Semitic narratives as a means to push back against the media and corporate powers above him. Eventually, platforms like Instagram and Twitter gave him the boot for his hateful tirade, although they later reinstated his accounts.

The anti-Semitic tirade led to fractured relationships with brands like Balenciaga, Adidas, and GAP, a brand he previously signed a decade-long contract with. In a matter of weeks, Ye watched the multi-billion dollar empire he established crumble in front of him. It seems as though Kanye West is trying to repair the harm that he’s done but as the AJC and SA suggested, it will take far more than watching a buddy-cop film starring a Jewish actor. Check out Seth Rogen’s comments above on Kanye West’s recent apology and sound off with your thoughts in the comments.

Jonah Hill Refuses To Acknowledge Kanye West

Jonah Hill has been in the news quite a bit over the past few days thanks to a recent declaration from the likes of Kanye West. As many of you already know, Kanye took to Instagram where he shared his love for Hill. Overall, his post was meant to be a redemption arc of sorts. Within the post, Ye said that Jonah’s performance in 21 Jump Street made him love Jewish people again. Although, no one was truly buying this post. It felt pretty maniacal and smarter fans saw right through it. However, it still got a ton of eyeballs.

“Watching Jonah Hill in 21 Jump street made me like Jewish people again,” Ye wrote. “No one should take anger against one or two individuals and transform that into hatred towards millions of innocent people. No Christian can be labeled antisemite knowing Jesus is Jew. Thank you Jonah Hill I love you.” Regardless of the message here, it’s clear that Kanye got everyone’s attention again. It also got the attention of Jonah Hill, who must be feeling pretty weird about the whole thing.

Jonah Hill Gets Kanye Love

According to TMZ, Hill was actually spotted outside of a restaurant in Santa Monica recently. While leaving the spot, Jonah Hill was greeted by all sorts of cameras and paparazzi. Subsequently, Hill was asked about Kanye’s post and what he thought about all of it. Instead of answering, Hill just kept it moving as he wanted to leave the area. Overall, you cannot blame him for taking the high road here. After all, what are you even supposed to say in this situation?

Whether or not this will have fans on Ye’s side again, remains to be seen. However, it does not feel like that is going to be the case. In the months prior to this, he was hanging out with known white supremacists. Additionally, he was saying some truly hurtful things, all while siding with Adolf Hitler and the Nazis. It was a ridiculous and hateful display that ruined his legacy for a lot of people. Let us know what you think about all of this, in the comments down below. Kanye West’s Jonah Hill & “21 Jump Street” Post Gets Response From Directors

Kanye West’s return to Instagram, thanking Jonah Hill in the film 21 Jump Street for making him “like Jewish people again” got a response from the film’s directors. Moreover, it was a pretty weird and still incredibly tone deaf post that caused many to clown or further criticize him. Still, as many fans pointed out, he could’ve said much worse. “Watching Jonah Hill in 21 Jump street made me like Jewish people again,” the Chicago rapper wrote. “No one should take anger against one or two individuals and transform that into hatred towards millions of innocent people. No Christian can be labeled antisemite knowing Jesus is Jew. Thank you Jonah Hill I love you.”

Furthermore, both Phil Lord and Christopher Miller (who directed the film) had cheeky, brief, and comical responses to Ye’s proclamation. “Um… thanks for watching?” Miller tweeted with a screenshot of the post in question. On his end, Lord retweeted and replied to a tweet asking if there’s anything the directing duo can’t do. “Laughter is the best medicine,” Phil commented in response. However, Hill hasn’t spoken on that message yet, presumably because he doesn’t have social media.

“21 Jump Street” Directors Respond To Kanye West

Of course, it was only a matter of time before Kanye made some form of a comeback on social media, if only in the literal sense. He’s been laying relatively low for the past few months, with his most discussed behavior being his paparazzi interactions while out with wife Bianca Censori. While he’s not making the explosive and combative statements that sent public goodwill through a downward spiral, this seemed backhanded to many out there. More than that, it doesn’t indicate any understanding of wrongdoing, although it’s the typical Gram antic from the Yeezy mogul at this point.

Meanwhile, Amber Rose and Julia Fox both shared their experiences dating the 45-year old on the latter’s Forbidden Fruits podcast. Moreover, they discussed his tendency to make everything about him, whether it’s playing his music all the time or being the most well-known person in the room. Regardless, it’s clear that some of that attitude translates into him believing his Jonah Hill shout-out was warranted. Check out Miller’s response below and, for the latest news and updates on Kanye West, stick around on HNHH.

Kanye West Returned To Instagram To Share How Jonah Hill Made Him ‘Like Jewish People Again’

After an all too brief hiatus, Kanye West returned to Instagram on Friday, March 24. Last year, West went off of social media after posting a series of anti-Semitic rants on Twitter, and making anti-Semitic remarks during television appearances. It seems as though he’s turned a new leaf though — maybe.

Last night, West took to Instagram to reveal that he had been watching Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum’s 2012 remake of 21 Jump Street. He shared an image of the movie’s poster and said that he no longer harbors hatred towards the Jewish community.

“Watching Jonah Hill in 21 Jump street made me like Jewish people again,” said West in the post’s caption. “No one should take anger against one or two individuals and transform that into hatred towards millions of innocent people. No Christian can be labeled antisemite knowing Jesus is Jew. Thank you Jonah Hill I love you.”

Since the start of 2023, West has (thankfully) remained relatively quiet. However, he reportedly got married to a Yeezy architectural designer named Bianca Censori in January.

West’s daughter North has gone viral on TikTok, particularly with her drawings, as well as her dance videos with Ice Spice. Though Ye has not directly commented on the TikToks, he voiced his disapproval of North joining the platform last year.

At the time of writing, Ye has only returned to Instagram, and not to Twitter, where his infamous rants began.

Kanye West “Likes Jewish People Again” Thanks To Jonah Hill & “21 Jump Street”

Kanye West is back on Instagram. With his first post, it appears the 45-year-old is feeling prepared to make amends with the Jewish community. Throughout much of 2022, he shared several anti-Semitic sentiments on social media, resulting in his ban from various platforms. Aside from getting the boot on Twitter and Instagram, Ye also lost out on several of his biggest brand deals. Among them was one with Adidas that’s rumoured to be picking back up after their public fallout late last year.

Upon being cancelled, West retreated from the public eye for some time. This left some former associates and followers concerned that he may have even gone missing. As rumours continued to swirl, it was revealed that he and Australian architect Bianca Censori have tied the knot. The couple has since been seen out and about in California, shopping, spending time with Ye’s oldest daughter, North West, and hitting up theme parks, among other things. From the sounds of his latest Instagram post, the “Flashing Lights” hitmaker has also been spending time re-watching classic comedy films from the last decade – more specifically, 21 Jump Street seems to have struck a chord with him.

21 Jump Street Leaves Ye Feeling Inspired

On Friday (March 25), the father of four’s feed lit up with a screenshot of the Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum-led 2012 movie. Apparently, it was watching the former comedian in 21 Jump Street recently that made West “like Jewish people again.” He later added, “No one should take anger against one or two individuals and transform that into hatred towards millions of innocent people. No Christian can be labelled antisemite knowing Jesus is [a] Jew.”

He concluded his message with, “Thank you Jonah Hill, I love you.” Since arriving late last night, Kanye West’s post has already received upwards of 1.6M double taps, plus countless comments reacting to the Atlanta-born artist’s sudden change of heart. “I always knew Jonah Hill would save Kanye,” one person joked. “Waking up to this is truly incredible…” another added.
