Drake & Joe Budden’s Beef Seemingly Continues As The Rapper Posts Subtle Sports-Related Jabs Online

Drake’s latest solo album, For All The Dogs, has stirred up several heavy online debates. From the blatant featured guest omissions and accusations of failing to appropriately credit other artists’ work to the speculated disses on the project, Drake’s latest has been a constant topic of conversation online. However, despite trending across social media, he’s opted not to issue a response.

Then Joe Budden critiqued the album during a recent episode of his self-titled podcast. Immediately after getting wind of Budden’s remarks, Drake hopped into the Instagram comments to clap back. Now, via Drake’s Instagram Stories, the beef seemingly continues.

In the series of posts, Drake pulled inspiration from a tense stand-off between several titans in the National Basketball Association (NBA). “You thought you was Kobe 😂, ” wrote Drake, quoting basketballer Draymond Green’s infamous jab at now-retiree Paul Pierce.

For viewers of the post who didn’t know about the exchange, Drake uploaded the video clip as well. Where Green pokes at Piercing, saying, ”Chasing that farewell tour? They don’t love you like that.”

Drake repurposed the shade to make fun of Budden’s retirement from rap music to pursue entertainment media full-time, which he did after expressing that he felt unappreciated in music. Below, you can see Budden’s original remarks that might have kickstarted this back-and-forth.

Ebro Weighs In On Joe Budden & Drake Beef

Ebro offered up some very nuanced thoughts about the beef that has emerged between Drake and Joe Budden in the wake of For All The Dogs‘ release. “Jay Z in 2009 on Blueprint 3 was making songs with Drake, Cole & Cudi and was being “Young Forever” …. Now did we view that as artists he should not be collaborating with? Did we view that content and those collaborators as too young for him? Regardless of whether u like it. Joe Budden didn’t fail at music. He can still make music. It seems Joe Budden chose not to play the “music business game” and continually chase charts and do anything to stay relevant in music. Drake is choosing to keep playing to the same recipe that has given him success,” Ebro said in a pair of tweets.

The beef between Drake and Budden emerged after the rapper and podcast host said Drizzy was “rapping for children” on For All The Dogs. “You thought you was Kobe,” Drake said in response on Instagram along with the infamous exchange between Draymond Green and Paul Pierce that sparked the line to begin with. It’s pretty clear that the line was directed at Budden and his previous forays into music.

Drake Airs Out Multiple Beefs On For All The Dogs

While Budden is beefing with Drake about the album itself, For All The Dogs contains multiple instances of Drake cooking up some beef within the industry. “Fear Of Heights” has been taken as a shot at Rihanna. Meanwhile, “8AM in Charlotte” is thought to contain disses of both Kanye and NBA YoungBoy. While not so much a beef, “Another Late Night” sees Drizzy take aim at people claiming an inappropriate relationship between himself and Millie Bobby Brown. Pusha T and Esperanza Spalding also catch strays on the album.

However, there are a couple of people coming after Drake for legal reasons. Two separate artists have accused Drizzy of sampling without permission. British synth-pop band Pet Shop Boys have accused Drake of using their 1986 hit “West End Girls” without permission on “All The Parties”. Meanwhile, Rye Rye has said that her vocals appear without permission on “Calling For You”. Drake has not yet responded to either of these allegations.

Birdman Tells Charlamagne Tha God To “Respek” Drake

Birdman is coming up for his boy Drake. The legendary producer took aim at two of the most prominent critics of For All The DogsJoe Budden and Charlamagne Tha God. “Calm down brother 4this real gangsta shit,” Birdman aimed at Budden. “I think you mean good and I respek you even thou we had our difference but I respek you @cthagod but respek @champagnepapi,” the producer told the radio host.

The defense comes after both men took shots at Drake’s new album. Budden said Drake was “rapping for children”. Meanwhile, Charlamagne had spent the weeks leading up to the album’s releasing beef with Drake and then trying to walk it back as stage as Drizzy’s fans turned on him. Birdman also stepped in after Druski trolled Drake and, more importantly, Cash Money. Birdman has never been one to take any sort of slander towards Drake or the legendary Young Money crew lying down.

Birdman And Charlamagne Reportedly Squash Beef

The shot at Charlamagne comes a few days after The Breakfast Club host claimed that the two had put their long-standing beef behind them. Charlamagne told HipHopDX that all it took to end his beef with Birdman was a lengthy phone call. “He’s an OG that I look up to as far as what he’s built, as far as being a mogul. You can’t deny him,” Charlamagne told the outlet at the BET Hip Hop Awards. “[Big Bank] put us on the phone one time and I was able to tell him that [I look up to what he’s done]. It was just mutual respect. That was a fulfilling conversation for me.”

The beef between the two industry icons dates back to 2016. It stemmed from an interview that lasted just a few minutes. Birdman felt that Charlamagne and his radio co-hosts didn’t respect his name and status. Later he would drop a single, “Respek”, that called back to the whole debacle. While the beef went dormant over the years, it never truly went away until now.

Drake Continues Joe Budden Beef With More Apparent Disses On Instagram Story

The Drake and Joe Budden feud is raging on, it seems, even as the former is busy with wrapping up his 21 S*vage-assisted tour. For those unaware, the two started going back and forth following the former Everyday Struggle host’s harsh criticism of Drizzy’s latest album, For All The Dogs. It’s been a pretty contentious cycle so far, with many people clowning one, the other, or both for their pettiness. However, it’s far from over, which the Toronto MC seems happy to keep up on his Instagram Story. It’s not directly aimed at Joe (well, some of it, at least), but it’s impossible to ignore the context clues.

“You thought you was Kobe,” Drake wrote with a crying-laughing emoji, presumably about Joe Budden, on Saturday (October 7). In addition, he also shared a TikTok clip of an old NBA game, a classic that many hoopers reading this will recognize. “Chasing that farewell tour, they don’t love you like that,” Draymond Green of the Golden State Warriors told the Clippers’ Paul Pierce during a game. “You can’t get no farewell tour ’cause they don’t love you like that… You thought you was Kobe.”

“You Thought You Was Kobe”

Not only that, but the 6 God also took aim at Joe Budden’s inner circle- at the very least, within the podcasting space. In a separate IG Story post, Drake called out The Joe Budden Podcast‘s co-host Parks. “Sorry one more thing…” he expressed. “Imagine listening to Mark Zuckerberg tell the next generation about good verses and turnt beats,” The Boy concluded with some crying-laughing emojis. Also, he used a recent IG caption to send shots at someone posting about him, which we know isn’t directed at the rapper and media personality because, well, he already spoke.

Drake Blasts Parks & Sends Mystery Shots

Meanwhile, it’s hard to say where this beef is going to go from here, if anywhere. Will we catch some subliminals at the Slaughterhouse member on the next studio album, will they make amends, or is this buried right here? Let’s give it a couple of weeks and see where the tensions are at. For more news and the latest updates on Drake and Joe Budden, come back to HNHH.

Birdman Warns Joe Budden Amid Drake Beef: “Calm Down”

Drake dropped off his new album For All The Dogs yesterday after months of teasing. Fans were looking forward to hearing the Canadian hitmaker lay out some beef on the LP, and they don’t appear to be disappointed. He’s even got some drama brewing online lately, with none other than Joe Budden. Budden was quick to share his thoughts on the album on his podcast, and he didn’t seem to be a big fan. He didn’t go too hard on him, but nonetheless, Drake fired back.

The “First Person Shooter” performer had a lot to say about Budden’s less-than-satisfied review, and things got pretty personal. Drake told Budden he’s “failed at music,” claiming that he now has to comment on other people’s successes to make a living. He further accused Budden of being jealous of him, and “projecting his own self hate” onto Drake.

Birdman Tells Joe Budden He’s Not Built For “Real Gangsta Sh*t”

Joe Budden kept it simple with his response, telling Drake, “You’ll grow up sooner or later… Father time is undefeated.” He’s since replied to some Tweets, claiming that his comments were “said with love.” Drake, on the other hand, has continued to throw shade on his Instagram Story. “Sorry one more thing,” he captioned a screenshot of Budden’s podcast. “Imagine listening to Mark Zuckerberg tell the next generation about good verses and turnt beats.”

Amid the drama, Birdman took to his own IG Story to chime in, warning Budden to stop messing with Drake. “@Joebudden calm down brother,” he captioned a photo of the personality. “You not built 4this real gangsta sh*t @champagnepapi @cashmoneyofficial.” It’s no secret that Birdman and Drake have a close bond, however, it’s unclear what he meant by his message to Budden. What do you think of Drake and Joe Budden going back and forth on social media? How do you feel about Birdman’s warning? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below, and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates on Drake, Birdman, and Joe Budden.

Drake Eviscerates Joe Budden In Scathing Response To “For All The Dogs” Criticism

Drake finally dropped his coveted new project For All The Dogs yesterday, and Joe Budden was quick to share his thoughts on his podcast. Budden weighed in on the album, making it clear that he wasn’t exactly impressed. He advised Drake to start hanging out with people his “own age” instead of young internet personalities like Kai Cenat, claiming that he’s now “rapping for the children.” Budden didn’t completely discredit the Canadian hitmaker, however, noting that he’s still “the golden child” and is likely to find success no matter what. While some thought the criticism was fair, others didn’t take to it kindly, including Drake.

Recently, Drizzy took to social media to clap back, and he went in. He claimed that Budden is nothing but a “quitter” who now has to comment on other people’s work in order to pay his bills. The lengthy rant didn’t stop there, however. Drake also claimed that Budden is simply “projecting his own self hate” onto other people, and is jealous of his success.

Drake Roasts Joe Budden In Response To Album Review

Budden then responded to his comment with a simple message, claiming that Drake’s still got some maturing to do. “You’ll grow up sooner or later,” he wrote, adding “Father time is undefeated.” Clearly, Drake took things pretty far with his response, and Budden appears to be sticking to his guns for now.

With that being said, this certainly has the potential to develop further, and it’s likely that Joe Budden could provide a more detailed response to his rant sometime in the near future. What do you think of Drake’s response to Joe Budden’s For All The Dogs review? Do you think it was justified, or was Joe Budden’s criticism fair? Joe Budden On Drake’s “For All The Dogs”: “He Rapping For The Children”

Drake’s For All The Dogs is obviously sparking a lot of conversation, whether around the album itself or around Drizzy as an artist. While many fans seem very satisfied, including some typical doubters, it’s not all peaches and cream. For example, Joe Budden recently shared his thoughts on the project on The Joe Budden Podcast… multiple times, in fact, to emphasize the passion. During his remarks, though, it’s not like he completely dragged the Toronto superstar through the mud entirely. One comment that die-hards might be surprised by is that the former Everyday Struggle host labeled the 6 God as the “golden child.”

Still, many of his issues seem to stem from Drake’s collaborators, who he’s associating himself with, and what he’s rapping about. A standout quote from his breakdown is the following: “I miss the Drake that was rapping for the rappers.” Joe Budden suggested that he shouldn’t be getting down with streamers like Kai Cenat and “rapping for the children.” Instead, the media commentator and MC believes that the 36-year-old should stick to topics and people more within his age group.

Joe Budden’s Initial Thoughts On Drake’s For All The Dogs

Of course, this is by no means a new conversation when it comes to Drake, and it’s not one that will end anytime soon. However, it’s also not nearly as one-sided as Joe Budden’s comments might have you think. After all, you don’t become arguably the biggest rapper ever in the commercial game by not making at least something click for your audience. Many could see Aubrey Graham’s connection to younger artists and creators as his way of putting them on, giving his cosign, or staying relevant despite the passage of time. When it comes to his proximity to, for example, younger women, though, that’s when people like Joe push back.

More Takedowns Of FATD

Meanwhile, it’s also clear that the podcast host doesn’t solely have that issue with For All The Dogs, and that it’s about much more than that. But do you think he missed the mark on this assessment or can you relate to his frustration? Whatever the case, let us know in the comments down below. For more news and the latest updates on Drake and Joe Budden, come back to HNHH.

Diddy Thanks Joe Budden For Positive Response To “The Love Album”

Diddy thanked Joe Budden on Instagram, Tuesday, for the podcast host’s positive review of his new project, The Love Album: Off the Grid. Budden had discussed his thoughts on the effort during an episode of The Joe Budden Podcast. Diddy shared the clip while thanking Budden for the “king words.”

“This whole shit is right,” Budden said of the album. “The front-end gets you moving, the back-end is all joints. Teyana Taylor, fuckin all of this shit is crazy. What I liked is when I had the album, I didn’t know who all the features were. I liked that experience better because I didn’t know this was Teyana. Are you shitting me? How he dropped sprinkles of the fuckin H.E.R. instrumental throughout the project as some interlude shit and then end with it. Man, stop playing with me, man.”

Joe Budden Explains His Decision To Not Release Tasha K Interview

Joe Budden has found himself caught up in long-running drama between Cardi B and Tasha K. It began loosely when he expressed some unfavorable opinions about Cardi and Megan Thee Stallion’s new song “Bongos” when it dropped a few weeks ago. Though he disputes the way it was reported by many outlets it certainly started a back-and-forth between the pair and had fans buzzing about potential beef. Cardi claimed that the criticism was personal while Budden shared that it hurt him the way the story was grabbing headlines.

The drama took on an interesting new direction when Joe Budden recorded an interview with Tasha K. Tasha is a blogger and Youtuber whom Cardi B has long had beef with. The pair were embroiled in a lawsuit for years that resulted in a massive payday for Cardi when it was proven that Tasha deliberately spread lies about the rapper. The surprise came when Budden announced that he was shelving the interview and not releasing it publicly. That didn’t sit right with Tasha who lit into the host claiming that he was bending to pressure from Cardi to keep the interview from being released.

Joe Budden Talks Tasha K Interview

Now in a newly released audio clip, Budden provides an explanation for his actions that many fans are viewing as an excuse. He identifies legal issues with releasing the interview, citing Tasha’s loss in the Cardi B lawsuit in particular. He claims that his lawyers were looking over the video while the “beef” was ongoing. Ultimately, they decided against releasing it.

Fans in the comments are skeptical. Some think he can’t release it because something Tasha says is unfounded. “Tasha was probably still telling the same lies and he didn’t want any parts of it,” one comment says. Others think Cardi is keeping the interview quiet herself. “Atlantic cut him a check. Let’s be real!!,: another comment suggests. What do you think of Joe Budden’s response to critiques about shelving his Tasha K interview? Let us know in the comment section below.

Joe Budden Calls Cardi B His ‘Girl’ After His Previous ‘Bongos’ Comments Left ‘Room For Gray Area’

Joe Budden is setting the record straight about his rumored feud with Cardi B, and retracted his past comments about her song “Bongos,” during a recent episode of The Joe Budden Podcast.

“I don’t click on things when they can hurt me emotionally,” he said. “Cardi is my girl, so when the headlines is, ‘Cardi B Tears Into Joe Budden’ — come on, man. That hurts. That hurts my heart.”

“And I wouldn’t have been saying that directly to Cardi because I f*ck with Cardi,” Budden added. “I was talking to a few of you other people, but now I have to address the Cardi sh*t.”

A few weeks ago, Budden had upset the Bronx rapper by saying her collab with Megan Thee Stallion sounded like a “science project,” according to HipHopDX.

“I hate the song,” he shared. “It’s not better than any of the songs like it. ‘WAP,’ ‘Up,’ it’s not better than Cardi B feature. This is Cardi getting ready to follow-up her debut album… They not gonna spend the money to keep this rolling into the fourth and first quarter.”

Cardi eventually heard about Budden’s thoughts and shared some of her own during an Instagram live. “I just feel like he has an issue with me,” Cardi said. “And it was beyond the critique of ‘Bongos’ — it’s just you inviting b*tches who said the rudest, nastiest sh*t… when Mal and Rory say f*ck sh*t about you, you get so defensive and you want to clear it up.”

Still, it’s good that the two were able to clear things up.
