Seven years ago, rumors swirled that Drake and Jennifer Lopez were getting close when the rapper shared cozy photos of them while working on his More Life album. However, when the project dropped, J.Lo was nowhere to be found on the final tracklist, leaving fans wondering what had happened between the two.

Now, with Jennifer Lopez facing a fresh chapter following her brief marriage and impending divorce from Ben Affleck, insiders say Drake is wasting no time rekindling their connection. According to In Touch, the “Certified Lover Boy” has reached out to the multi-talented star, offering both flattery and support.

“As soon as she filed the papers, Drake reached out,” a source told In Touch. “He was very sweet and told her what a fool Ben is for letting her get away, and then he quickly let her know he’s ready and willing to step in and satisfy her.”

While Lopez may be taking her time to process the breakup, sources indicate that the two have been engaging in flirty late-night texts and calls. Though J.Lo has her guard up—fully aware of Drake’s reputation as a player—the insider revealed that Drake is filling the void for something lighthearted and fun, without immediate expectations of a serious relationship.

“He’s very intelligent and romantic, and she can count on him being discreet because he’s always kept her secrets in the past,” the insider added. “It’s still in the sexting stage, but she loves hearing from him and sharing sexy selfies. He’s very quick to compliment her and lays it on thick.”

The arrest of Sean “Diddy” Combs sent pop culture into a frenzy, or at least, even more so than what the conversation around his allegations entailed. As such, many folks looked back throughout history to put previously innocuous moments into this darker context, even if most of the accusations against him remain unverified. For example, the Internet resurfaced a clip of Jennifer Lopez on The Wendy Williams Show back in 2015 per InTouch Weekly, about 14 years after Jennifer and the Bad Boy mogul broke up. When Wendy proposed that they could reconcile, J.Lo shut this down as the camera cut to her mother Guadalupe Rodríguez, who made a dismissive hand gesture and seemed to mouth “It’s done.”

Of course, this is pretty ironic considering another resurfaced clip that re-emerged recently of Jennifer Lopez looking back on their relationship… In a way. Moreover, during an interview with Big Boy, he asked her whether or not she would save Ben Affleck or Diddy if she only had space for one on a life raft. “I’d let both of those motherf***ers drown!” the superstar expressed amid raucous laughter from everyone there.

This was before Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck’s romantic reconciliation, which is even more ironic now considering their current break-up. Nevertheless, it’s been bizarre and almost frightening to look back at moments like these with the shroud of Diddy’s allegations in mind. Sometimes, these situations come up when it comes to romantic relationships, whereas other tales center around the music industry and other interpersonal business moves. In any case, there will probably be much more reevaluation of all this in the coming months, whether in the courtroom or in the court of online public opinion.

Meanwhile, Shyne recently became the latest Bad Boy affiliate to comment on Diddy’s arrest. “This is someone that destroyed my life,” he told reporters. “But do I take any joy or any satisfaction with what he is going through? Damon and Affleck have been very good friends since they were children, so a lot of people expressed much interest in this interaction. Of course, this is all just gossip and hearsay, and we can’t imagine that J. Lo and Matt haven’t developed a friendship over the years.

“What fun, what a joy to do something with her,” Ben Affleck had said of working with Jennifer Lopez on Unstoppable, which he and Matt Damon helped produce. “See her be great, go to work with your wife, go to work with your best friend. Lo’s romantic life these days is her association with Diddy, which took disturbing new context after his various criminal lawsuits and accusations. But it turns out that she already compared the two during a resurfaced Big Boy interview, as she had a hilarious copout when asked to pick between them.

Furthermore, Big Boy asked Jennifer Lopez whether or not she’d save Diddy or Affleck from open water if she only had one space on her raft. “I’d let both of those motherf***ers drown!” she exclaimed amid raucous laughter from everyone in the room. Still, this doesn’t answer a lot of questions that fans have of the divorce or of her bond with the bad Boy mogul. After all, even a nasty headache can leave you with a stank face more than whatever’s going on in your personal life.

However, even with this tour cancelation and the potential split from Ben Affleck in mind, photos can’t really illustrate the pop star’s emotions right now. Maybe they do, but there is also some evidence out there that is pointing to these developments in less of a negative light. For example, Jennifer Lopez and Affleck were recently spotted out holding hands amid these divorce rumors. Perhaps they’re just taking more time off from each other than usual, or only time will tell what’s really going on.

On the other hand, many accused this now-canceled summer tour of suffering from low ticket sales, which was another heavy gossip factor. TMZ reportedly obtained information suggesting that this was not a factor in the trek’s cancelation, as ticket sales were apparently getting much better in select cities. No matter what’s happening, we wish Jennifer Lopez the best and hope any thorn in her side is temporary. We’ll see in the near future whether there’s actually something to this story.

Amid rumors of a rift in Jennifer Lopez’s relationship with Ben Affleck, TMZ and her official website (onthejlo) report that she and her team have canceled her summer tour, once running in North America from June through August. Moreover, a representative for Live Nation reportedly told the publication that the tour completely fell through. The alleged reasoning is that she is “taking time off to be with her children, family and close friends,” and she even supposedly relayed a message to those following her website according to TMZ, although it’s not clearly available at press time. Perhaps a specific newsletter?

Either way, here’s the alleged statement from Jennifer Lopez on her website concerning her summer tour’s cancelation and next steps, per TMZ. “I am completely heartsick and devastated about letting you down. Please know that I wouldn’t do this if I didn’t feel that it was absolutely necessary. I promise I will make it up to you and we will all be together again. I love you all so much. Until next time…” While no further details emerged, the publication claims that low ticket sale rumors were not a factor in this decision. Apparently, the tour garnered more ticket sales in select cities as of late, and these rumors mostly built off of speculative guesses months in advance, as well.

However, many believe that her alleged romantic tension with Ben Affleck could be a factor in this decision, as the two have sent out shady but mostly gossipy indications that things aren’t going well. For example, the actor seemed to hide his wedding ring in public, and the singer liked an accusatory IG post that many linked to Affleck. No matter the case, we don’t have a clear answer on this as of writing this article, so maybe the future will hold more revelations. Either way, we’re sure that this is all disappointing news for hopeful tour attendees.

Meanwhile, Jennifer Lopez is actually dealing with a lot right now, given that she might be a witness in the lawsuits against Diddy according to an attorney close to the situation. In her second performance of the night, Jennifer Lopez debuted new music on the Saturday Night Live stage. Ahead of her upcoming album, This Is Me…Now, Lopez premiered the album’s title track.

The song, which serves as the opener on This Is Me…Now, is downtempo ballad, on which, Lopez basks in the joy of her rekindled love with her now-husband, Ben Affleck.

“You met me halfway / Growing pains, broke some chains in every chapter / Now we know what it takes for our ever after / Took some lefts, now we’re right here where we are,” sings Lopez in the song’s opening verse.

Having made a loving reconnection, Lopez realizes that Affleck has helped her love herself even more.

“This is me now / And I took my time / Lot of winters summers baby / And I healed my heart / But I love who I am lately / This is me now,” sings Lopez on the song’s chorus.

While on stage, Lopez was dressed in pink roses, symbolizing a blissful new chapter — a brand new era of love and happiness, with the person she never stopped thinking about.

Ayo Edebiri Seemingly Addressed Her Resurfaced Comments About Jennifer Lopez During A Game Show Sketch On ‘SNL’

In the modern day of technology, many of us have learned the hard lesson that past posts and comments can come back to haunt us. Such was the case for Ayo Edebiri on tonight’s episode of Saturday Night Live.

During a sketch, Edebiri, along with SNL cast members Andrew Dismuskes and Chloe Fineman, play contestants competing on a game show called Why Did I Say That?, hosted by Kenan Thompson. During the game show, Thompson retrieved past comments left on people’s posts by the contestants. The comments range from sexually objectifying to threatening death. The rules of the game entailed each contestant explaining why they left such comments on the posts.

After being forced to revisit those comments, Edebiri’s character decided she had enough.

“We get it,” Edebiri said. “It’s wrong to leave mean comments, or post comments just for clout, or run your mouth on a podcast, and you don’t consider the impact because you’re 24 and stupid. But I think I speak for everyone when I say from now on, we’re gonna be a lot more thoughtful about what we post online.”

Perhaps Edebiri’s character is referring to a guest appearance she made on Laci Mosley’s Scam Goddess podcast back in 2020, during which, Edebiri alluded to rumors that Jennifer Lopez — who was tonight’s musical guest — uses ghost singers on her track.

“She thinks she’s on multiple tracks, but it’s not her,” Edebiri said at the time. “I think she thinks that she’s still good even though she’s not singing for most of these songs.”

Though tonight, it seemed that Lopez and Edebiri were both in good spirits. Perhaps they’ve put their differences aside?

Tonight (February 3) Jennifer Lopez made her fifth appearance on Saturday Night Live as the musical guest. The performance arrives ahead of her upcoming album, This Is Me…Now, which will be accompanied by a film, streaming on Prime Video. And with her performance of the album’s lead single, “Can’t Get Enough,” Lopez gave us a taste of what to expect, by showing off her theatrics.

While on stage, Lopez moved effortlessly to the festive beat. Joined by dancers matching her energy, Lopez continued to ride the high ahead of This Is Me…Now, which was largely inspired by her rekindled romance with her now-husband, Ben Affleck.

Dressed in black and white, Lopez and her dancers were celebrating the ultimate wedding bash. Midway through the performance, she was joined by rapper Latto, who contributed a verse to the song’s remix, which was released last month. While Latto’s surprise appearance was rather short, she didn’t once miss a beat.

Toward the end of the performance, rapper Redman made a surprise appearance, adding yet another new verse to “Can’t Get Enough.”
