While many people online were surprised at the entertainers hanging out, others tuned into the interesting nickname Drake used for himself.

“Two menaces of this level linking up is crazy,” one user wrote.

Commenting on Drake’s “Dominican Badness Sr” line, another later tweeted, “What the f**k did he call himself.”

Someone else then joked, “It’s funny cause he hate being Canadian fr.”

Quentin Miller Explains Why He Never Got A Publishing Check From Drake’s Songs

Drake’s ghostwriting scandal hasn’t hindered his career one bit. Since Meek Mill revealed Quentin Miller was penning some of The Boy’s bars, Drake’s become an even bigger global superstar.

The two rappers patched up their issues, but Quentin Miller is still largely known for his role in the scandal. Unfortunately, the scenario was worse than the drama surrounding him. The publishing deal he signed at the time was so bad that he never saw a penny from his work with Drake.

During a recent interview with Vlad TV, Quentin Miller discussed Meek Mill’s role in the feud, calling him “inconsiderate” for how he dealt with the situation.

“It was like I didn’t matter. Like, f**k this guy. Even with Drama and them, you know, like, throwing my whole life on the backburner,” Quentin Miller said. “Just to get at a n***a, like, but what about me? What about me taking care of my family and the fact that I put my whole life into this shit.”

He added that he felt the worst blowback from the situation, especially since it ruined a relationship with someone who was going to change his whole life.

“I’m workin’ with a n***a that, literally, was about to change my life, you know? Even though, you know, I was in my horrible, horrible, horrible publishing situation with Tricky [Stewart]. So, I never got a publishing check off of any Drake songs,” he said. In fact, he didn’t receive payments for any of his songs.

“I had to feed my family off getting paid under the table in that situation because Tricky and them wouldn’t let me go,” he continued, revealing that he didn’t get out of the deal until 2019-2020. I signed in 2011…. They wouldn’t let me out. I had to let go of a lot of shit just to get out. But even while I was in it, I never got a publishing check or nothing.”

Gangsta Boo’s Death Leaves Hip-Hop In Mourning: Drake, GloRilla, And More Pay Respects

The excitement of a new year beginning is still wearing off, though the mood became sombre once the hip-hop community heard about the death of Gangsta Boo. She passed on Sunday (January 1), and it’s chiefly suspected that an overdose was her ultimate cause of death.

The rapper – born Lola Chantrelle Mitchell – was evidently discovered dead on her front porch yesterday. At the time, narcotics were correspondingly found on her person. The night before, she and her brother were celebrating in Memphis. In the midst of their New Year’s party, he apparently overdosed but was fine after receiving treatment at a hospital.

Later that night, they took the celebration back to Boo’s place. Unfortunately, this looks to be when she met her ultimate demise. The news has been undeniably hard to swallow, with many friends and collaborators taking to social media to pay their respects.

Among them is Drake, who posted an old photo of the late rhymer and a friend on his Instagram Story. As an illustration of his feelings, he wrote, “Rest in heaven Gangsta Boo.”

Another reaction came from Chip Tha Ripper. On Twitter, he comparatively wrote, “Gangsta Boo was SUCH a beautiful Queen, inside and out. I’m so grateful to have been able to know you and share good times with you.”

The 36-year-old’s emotional post later goes on, “Wow. I grew up on your music and you are a household name the ghettos of America and loved all across the world!!! You will be missed.”

Other stars reeling over the sad news include Big Boi, Duke Deuce, Curren$y, Rah Digga, and finally, GloRilla.

The latter recently worked with Boo as well as Latto on her “FTCU” single. The collaboration undeniably hit it off with audiences. Many fans were undoubtedly eager to see what the recently deceased artist had in store for 2023.

Co-Defendant In XXXTentacion Murder Says Drake, DJ Akademiks Must Be Subpoenaed To Trial

Screen Shot 2023 01 02 at 6.15.04 AM

XXXTentacion’s 2018 murder in South Florida will soon see justice with a January 9, 2023 trial date, however, the request by one of the co-defendants accused of the killing to subpoena Drake has intensified, with his lawyer filing a formal request to have Drake and DJ Akademiks testify in court claiming their alleged involvement.

Mauricio Padilla, the attorney for Dedrick Williams, one of the four men accused of fatally shooting XXXTentacion, submitted a request to Broward County Circuit Judge Michael Usan to have Drake and DJ Akademiks subpoenaed to court. The submitted document says, “The testimony of the said Aubrey Drake Graham is material to the case, and it is necessary to take the deposition of the said Aubrey Drake Graham to prevent the failure of justice.”

It was well known that Drake and XXXTencion had beef before his death, with X accusing Drizzy of stealing his style and now Williams’ attorney alleges that Drake spoke on X’s murder in the song “On BS”. Padilla added Akademiks to his subpoena list because he says that Ak speaks on the case regularly on his platform. “Mr. Allen, who goes by the stage name ‘DJ Akademiks,’ posted his podcast on December 21, where he openly discusses the case, acknowledges being served, and states, ‘I am not showing up to court to talk to y’all n****s.’ It is clear that nothing short of a court order will ensure Mr. Allen’s participation in a deposition,” read the request.

The trial begins a week from today. TheSource.com will update this story as details develop.

Drake Randomly Shared Footage That Appears To Confirm His July Arrest In Sweden

Drake doesn’t merely follow trends; he either adds wrinkles to them or sets new trends altogether. The most popular New Year’s Eve trend is to post a highlight reel from the year. Drake participated on Saturday, December 31, by posting a carousel to Instagram. The first photo is of him and 21 Savage, which makes all the sense in the world, given their recent record-setting No. 1 collaborative album, Her Loss. But as soon as you click the right arrow, you’re reminded that it’s Drake we’re talking about.

The second slide of Champagne Papi’s Instagram carousel is a video that many are linking to his reported detainment by Swedish police in July. Drake, in a red sweatsuit, is being led to a “polis” car while someone off-camera asks, “Who’s in charge here?” And then, the rest of the carousel is filled by harmless, star-studded snaps from yet another successful year in Drake’s life.

“The funds are useful / The lyrics are truthful / The suspects are usual / The opps are delusional / The finish line is beautiful / And the disrespect is mutual,” Drake wrote as the caption. “See you in 23.”

In July, rumors swirled that Drake had been arrested by Swedish authorities for possession of marijuana, but Drake’s team quickly shut it down. Philip Lewis of The Huffington Post relayed at the time that Swedish police had told him Drake was “not currently in their custody,” and Drake’s team stated to him, “Drake is at his hotel and has not been arrested.”

Days later, however, Drake cracked the door back open on the possibility that something happened in a since-deleted Instagram post. As captured by Page Six, Drake had shared a paper handout headlined “Information For Those Suspected Of A Crime And Subsequently Detained” that went on to detail a detainees rights.

Even after Drake’s latest video footage, skepticism is understandable. Drake and 21 Savage showed us that they’re capable of clever deception by rolling out Her Loss with a photoshopped Vogue cover, fake Saturday Night Live and NPR Tiny Desk performances, and spoof Howard Stern interviews.

Alleged XXXTENTACION Murderer Says Drake Needs To Testify In Trial

It’s been nearly five years since XXXTENTACION was murdered in Florida at just 20 years old. However, his legacy lives on because of his expressive music that continues to touch his fanbase. However, the Florida native did have a rather controversial past with violent accusations.

The suspect in his murder, Dedrick Williams, has pleaded not guilty. Now, he’s calling on some big names to testify due to their alleged involvement.

Just a couple of weeks ago, Williams’ attorney listed a bunch of high-profile people as potential witnesses in the case. Joe Budden, 6ix9ine, Quavo, Takeoff (R.I.P.) and Drake are on this list.

New reports from AllHipHop indicate that the alleged murderer really wants Drake to testify at the trial. “The testimony of the said Aubrey Drake Graham is material to the case, and it is necessary to take the deposition of the said Aubrey Drake Graham to prevent the failure of justice,” says the document.

Drizzy and the “SAD!” rapper had a documented beef that began in 2017. Upon the Toronto star releasing his More Life project that year, the Florida native took exception to one of its tracks, “KMT.” X publicly claimed that Drake was stealing his flow and cadence on the song. The track that he’s allegedly ripping off is X’s mega-hit, “Look At Me!”

Williams and his attorney allegedly believe that Drizzy’s talking about the murder in one of his most recent songs, “On BS,” is him talking about the murder. “Damn, maybe I should do a twenty, maybe I should break that twenty, do a ten / Maybe I should break that ten, do a five, then if it gets live, do a five again / If he held his tongue on that live, he’d be alive again,” he raps in the second verse.

Additionally, Williams and his legal team also want DJ Akademiks to testify in the trial. His attorney claims that the media personality consistently makes comments about the case while streaming.

“Mr. Allen, who goes by the stage name ‘DJ Akademiks’ posted his podcast on December 21, where he openly discusses the case, acknowledges being served and states, ‘I am not showing up to court to talk to y’all n****s’. It is clear that nothing short of a court order will ensure Mr. Allen’s participation in a deposition,” the document reads elsewhere.
