Drake’s New Artist Naomi Sharon Makes A Stunning Debut With “Another Life”

The roster of artists over at OVO Sound has always been impressive, with names like PARTYNEXTDOOR, dvsn, and Smiley leading the pack. Previously, the label boasted only male talent, but earlier this weekend, Drake announced the exciting news of his first female signee – Naomi Sharon.

To celebrate her new partnership with his renowned brand, the Canadian rapper gave the R&B starlet a shoutout on Instagram. “I been waiting for this day for too long now,” he began.

“Where the world finally gets to digest the insane amount of work you have put in since we met. My dear friend just dropped her single ‘Another Life’ on OVO SOUND.”

Along with the aforementioned track, Sharon has also shared “Celestial” and its accompanying lyric video. On social media, she’s teased that an official visual will be arriving in the near future.

Both songs feature production by Noah “40” Shebib. The former found him working alongside Alex Lustig, Beau Nox, and Rampa while the latter was a solo effort on his part.

Earning a co-sign from Drake is no small feat, and Sharon’s talent obviously speaks for itself. The last prominent female star to get a shoutout from the father of one, Ice Spice, has only continued to rise in popularity since linking up with the rapper.

On Sunday (January 22), the black-haired beauty wrote a message on Instagram thanking listeners for their “sweet messages and positive reactions.”

“The two songs mean a lot to me, and I cannot wait to share more,” she added. “Only way is up.”

Drake Hints That Another Full-Length Project May Be In The Works: ‘I Might Get Bored & Make Another One’

Drake hasn’t let earning 1 billion streams in less than two months stop him from making more music. During his highly-anticipated concert at the legendary Apollo Theater in Harlem, New York, the Canadian rapper revealed that he might have something new up his sleeve. To put it in context, the “Jumbotron Sh*t Poppin” rapper’s latest collaborative album, Her Loss, with 21 Savage, was only released in November.

If fans thought the 16-track project was the last they’d hear from Drake, he hinted that anything is possible. While addressing the sold-out crowd, the rapper said, “I hope I can strike up more emotions for you,” as he played some of his biggest records. Later adding, “Maybe this year, I might get bored and make another one.”

Although it is just speculation at this point, if the rapper were to release another full-length project before the year’s end, his OVO Sound label could potentially dominate with tours throughout the year. As the latest signee, Naomi Sharon as well as PartyNextDoor are both working on projects. In contrast, DVSN has already completed their tour obligations.

Another album also would allow Drake to set another RIAA record.

When the next project is released, just as a word of advice, Drake, stir far away from the fake album rollout efforts.

Nothing is stopping Drake from performing at The Apollo Theater this weekend. The Boy is in New York City, and ahead of his two-night set at the historic venue, Drake got some treatment on his “piece of shit ankle.”

“Thank you Atria NY for the best health care experience I have ever had,” Drake wrote online. “Let’s see what I can do on this piece of shit ankle Saturday.”

Drake’s takeover of the Apollo Theatre was pushed to this month after a set of production issues.

“We as a team have been working around the clock not just putting together a concert but an experience our fans deserve,” the tandem said in a statement. “With that said, we are up against some production delays that are just out of our control.” The statement also said that “these upcoming shows for SiriusXM are so incredibly special for us. If you are going to play the world-famous Apollo Theater, it has to be a world-class production.”

It appears the issues are solved. Check back for updates of Drake at the Apollo throughout the weekend.

Drake Received Medical Care For His Ankle, Ahead Of His Upcoming Shows At The Apollo

Drake is determined to make his upcoming shows at the Apollo happen this weekend after having already postponed them twice. Yesterday (January 19), the “Rich Flex” rapper revealed on Instagram that he underwent treatment after injuring his ankle.

“Thank you Atria NY for the best health care experience I have ever had,” he said in the post’s caption. “Let’s see what I can do on this piece of sh*t ankle Saturday.”

Despite apparently having sustained an injury, Drake appears to be enjoying his time in New York. In the carousel of photos are shots of him dressed in Yves Saint Laurent and sampling food throughout the city.

Drake is set to take the stage at the Apollo Theatre on Saturday, January 21 and Sunday, January 22. He was originally scheduled to perform at the iconic theater back in November, however, chose to postpone the show following Takeoff’s death. He had rescheduled the shows to December, however, he was forced to postpone them once again, due to production issues.

The upcoming performances will mark the first time Drake has performed at the Apollo. The shows come as part of a partnership with SiriusXM, which hosts his radio show, Table For One on his channel, Sound 42.

Blueface Says Drake Follows Chrisean Rock Because He’s Infatuated With Him

The drama involving Chrisean Rock and Blueface is once again escalating online. For days, the couple has engaged in a war of words as the rapper speaks ill of Rock. He’s stated he’s glad he only has one mother of his children, Jaidyn Alexis, and this comes after Rock shared that she’s had several abortions.

Then, a video of a chaotic incident during a No Jumper interview surfaced online. In the clip, a distressed Rock pleads with Blueface before she’s physically restrained and kicked out. Although her addition to the conversation ended, Blue continued on and had a few things to say about Drake.

The rapper was asked about his thoughts on Drake following Chrisean on social media.

“Um, I took it like he following me,” said Blueface. “You know, me and him have a past where he was a fan of me at one point in time. And so, my offspring, obviously he gon’, you know. It’s just kind of an infatuation with me through her.”

We’re not sure what Drizzy thinks of the mention, but Blueface’s mentions lit up with reactions.

Blueface took to Twitter to speak further on his relationship with Rock. Their romance has been riddled with violent outbursts from both sides, and he claims she’s mentally unstable.

“Alcohol isn’t her problem, her mentality is her problem. All you people on here making excuses for a lack of self-control [and] irrational behavior is contributing to the problem,” he wrote.

“When she displays this type of irrational behavior on ‘Baddies’ or ‘Blue Girls Club’ you guys applaud [and] cheer. When it’s a different setting [and] it doesn’t look as good, you guys want it to be everybody else’s fault. This is how she carry herself, with or without me.”

Meanwhile, Chrisean asked the public for prayers while detailing her struggles with suicidal thoughts and depression. Watch clips of the No Jumper interview above.
