Method Man Says Griselda Reminds Him Of Wu-Tang Clan

One of the Wu-Tang Clan’s many legends, Method Man, isn’t too caught up with the current rap sphere, and those are his words. Moreover, during the 2023 Grammys, he said that he doesn’t stay too in tune with what’s going on today. However, he did take the chance to shout out GloRilla, who Mef said is in heavy rotation in his household. Still, it seems like he might have eaten those words on not keeping up in a new interview on Gold Minds with Kevin Hart. During that conversation, Hart asked him who he’s listening to these days. In his answer, the New York MC shouted out fellow spitters from the state, saying that Griselda reminds him a lot of the Wu back in the day.

“I give everybody a chance, really, you know?” Method Man began his breakdown. “I keep my horizons real broad. People that stand out for me… Of course, the Griselda movement. Those dudes remind me so much of us back in the day. This kid Rome Streetz, Shootah, Mickey Diamond. If y’all ain’t up on Mickey, man, love Mickey. But my guy, oh… what’s my guy’s name? Oh, Stove God Cooks. *whistles* And even some of the newer cats. The obvious, of course, you know, Kendrick Lamar– I love ScHoolboy Q. He one of ours, man, like, that’s Mef all day right there.”

Method Man Is Reminded Of The Good Ol’ Wu-Tang Days Through Griselda

Speaking of legends alongside the newer guard, Griselda’s own Benny The Butcher recently reflected on pivotal advice that Jay-Z gave him. “The thing about Hov, man, he is who he say he is,” he told Math Hoffa. “He and Snoop, they remind me of each other. We had a bunch of conversations. He told me things that I didn’t want to hear, he told me things that I did want to hear- just all-around game. He was basically just telling me… basically trying to keep Griselda together.”

Of course, it’s easy to see the artistic parallels between a group like Griselda and one of Wu-Tang Clan’s caliber. However, that’s not to say that they’re merely a reiteration, as they carved out a whole new lane for themselves. With new releases coming pretty often from the camp (as recently as this week), we’re sure the accolades will precede any comparisons. For more news on the Wu-Tang Clan, Griselda, and Method Man, return to HNHH.

ILOVEMAKONNEN Reflects On Drake Relationship Turning Sour

“Tuesday” is one of hip-hop’s most beloved “one-hit wonder” tracks of the 2010s, brought to us by ILOVEMAKONNEN and Drake. Despite the song’s massive success, though, the Los Angeles native recently remarked to NPR Music during an interview how their relationship took a nasty turn. Of course, this isn’t the first time that he’s spoken on this issue, and he actually took some different turns back then compared to his current stance. Still, it’s quite unfortunate if true, considering he left OVO less than two years after signing a record deal. Apparently nothing was the same after the 2015 Wireless Festival.

“That’s when I knew something was weird,” ILOVEMAKONNEN told the outlet. “Just ’cause when I came out on set- and I started losing weight too, right- Drake had made a little joke like, ‘He a little Eric Benét-a** looking n***a.’ You know, like, ha-ha. And then I just started to feel this vibe. As I was supposed to go into my verse [on stage], they just cut it.” Also, he shared that their issues didn’t stem from Makonnen’s sexuality, which many thought had rubbed the Canadian superstar the wrong way.

ILOVEMAKONNEN Pinpoints Where Drake Relationship Soured In NPR Music Convo

In fact, the “SCUSE ME” artist claimed that past tweets of his dissing Drake was what threw a wrench into their camaraderie. “‘Y’all need to drop him because he said your song ‘Practice’ was lame back in 2011,’” ILOVEMAKONNEN remembered one fan writing on social media. “[It’s] our little outlet,” he shared while explaining that he meant no ill will. “That’s our only way of attention. It ain’t nothing personal.” Later on during his NPR Music interview, he theorized that things really solidified themselves into a falling out when he referenced the rumored beef during a Tim Westwood freestyle.

To make matters worse, the 34-year-old spit those bars over Drake instrumentals, putting things further into context. However, back in 2019, he stated that things were “all good” between him and OVO, so maybe this is just him reflecting on water under the bridge. Regardless, it’s a shame that this resulted from misinterpretation, Internet egging, and most importantly making jokes at another’s expense. Boosie Badazz Reacts To Webbie’s Crop Top Outfit

Boosie Badazz has a lot of extremely strong opinions that he isn’t afraid to express. Generally, he’s always got a tough exterior on. However, that wasn’t the case when he found out that he beat cancer. In a very emotional post, Boosie spoke freely about his feelings on the matter. “CANCER FREE! GOD [is] GREAT, BUT HE [TESTS] YOUR FAITH ALL THE TIME!” he tweeted. However, the rapper found out some not-so-great news at the same time. Since he had last seen him, Boosie’s cancer doctor had passed away without him knowing.

The Louisiana native took some time to say some kind words about the late doctor. “Thank [you], Dr. Wood, for always making me laugh when I was down. [You] were the best,” Boosie said. “I remember you rubbin my head when I was cryin before surgery. You ask me why I was crying n I told U I was thinkin about all the wrong I’ve done n my life n you said Mr. Boosie, God forgives.” It appears that Dr. Wood’s kind encouragement will stick with Boosie even though the doctor has passed.

Boosie Can’t Co-Sign The Crop Fit

In a new clip from VladTV, Boosie provided his opinion on fellow rapper Webbie’s fit. The picture of Webbie, which is from a photoshoot, shows him in a crop top with exposed underwear. As anyone who follows Boosie knows, he has very strong opinions on anything that comes across as slightly feminine on a man. At least that’s what can be inferred from previous comments he’s made. This time was no different; however, he did at least try to give Webbie the benefit of the doubt.

“Players f*ck up. Players f*ck up all the time. I was pissed. He was showing his tattoo bro!” Boosie says, sounding annoyed. He goes on to say that he had to turn his phone off after he saw it. “Webbie, bro. I had to turn my phone off. He just slipped, bro,” the rapper continued. “He do that every concert. I don’t know why the f*ck they took the picture like that.” What do you think of Boosie’s opinion on Webbie’s look? Would you rock a crop top? Let us know in the comments!

Cardi B Talks Anxiety In Behind The Scenes Met Gala Video

Cardi B really killed it last night at the Met Gala. Few celebrities can say that they turned out amazing looks even once at the event, let alone three times. However, that’s exactly what Cardi did. She was determined to outshine everyone else three times over for the biggest night in celebrity fashion. She appeared first in a glitzy pink dress with a peacock-like train. Then, she changed into a form-fitting black ensemble with a black rose-adorned crinoline as the focal point. She kept her striking silver hair throughout the evening while simplifying her appearance with a dress with a black and pink pattern. She even churned out another look for the afterparty.

As evidenced by her previous outfit selections, which were praised by her fans on social media, Cardi B is no stranger to making a fashion statement. Her previous looks at the Met Gala have been lauded by many. This time, she wore well-designed outfits that were appropriate for the gala’s theme. Fans noted that her first two outfits were reminiscent of Karl Lagerfeld’s iconic looks, and even those who were unaware of the source of inspiration praised her sense of style.

Even Cardi Gets Anxious Sometimes

Before her much talked about walk on the Met Gala carpet, Cardi B talked to Vogue about the look and the inspiration behind it. In the beginning of the video, her stylist reveals that he and Cardi planned the outfit together. “Me and Cardi talked really closely,” he said. “Just to figure out how we can pay tribute to Karl and also highlight one of our favorite houses of all time, Chanel.” Furthermore, Cardi speaks more specifically about the pieces. “It’s just Chanel and Karl. It’s a little mix, because if you see the top, it’s giving the infamous Karl suits with the tie, the white collar,” she said. “At the bottom, if you see the skirt it has the camellias.”

In the video, Cardi also opened up about feeling anxious every time she attends the Met Gala. very single time that I got to the Met, it’s fun of course,” she says. “After my first time going to the Met, I always get anxiety. And the anxieties just grow and grow and grow.” Of course, in typical Cardi fashion, she lightened up the moment immediately. “Maybe because my looks are so spectacular that people just expect every year to be more amazing than the last,” she half joked. “And it’s so hard because imagine competing with myself. That is sickening.” What did you think of Cardi’s Met Gala looks? Let us know in the comments!

Diddy & Yung Miami Speak On Their Relationship At The 2023 Met Gala

It seems like the 2023 Met Gala is giving us not just exceptional looks, but also some piping hot tea. Moreover, Yung Miami and Diddy arrived together at the event and matched beautifully with their lavish black fits. On one hand, the City Girl rocked a ring of black fur around her shoulders, complimented by many pearl strings and a see-through black bottom dress. On the other, the Bad Boy mogul donned a black rose-accentuated cape and a striking black vest along with stylish shades. No matter their relationship status, they came with some regal looks to serve.

In fact, their rumored romance and relationship status became the center of La La Anthony’s conversation with them on the red carpet. Furthermore, she asked Diddy, “Do y’all officially go together real bad?” as Yung Miami stood by her side. As Sean Combs gave his answer, he stumbled on his words and playfully told her, “I don’t know what you’re asking.” Not only that, but at one point he asked for a cloth to wipe his face with, whether the heat was causing his sweat or the spicy questions.

Diddy Answers Spicy Yung Miami Question

“We go together real bad,” Diddy finally remarked as Yung Miami laughed at the interaction. “It’s just a good date night,” Caresha told Anthony, and the 53-year-old expressed a similar sentiment. “We don’t put titles on it,” he added on. “Everybody wants to put a title on it, we don’t put a title on it. This is like my best friend in the world, one of the most beautiful people God has blessed me to meet, and I’m blessed that she’s my date tonight.”

Of course, that interview was quite interesting considering that the “Don’t Play With It” MC previously confirmed that they had split. “We’re still friends!” she remarked to The Cut. “We’re still good friends! But we’re single. That’s not my man. We had our own situation, I’m not gonna put a title on it. We were f***ing with each other hard, we were together every day at one point. He supported me, I supported him. I’ll let the internet call it whatever they want to call it.” With that in mind, his flustered reaction makes much more sense. Regardless, keep checking in with HNHH for more on Diddy, Yung Miami, and the 2023 Met Gala. Also, peep more footage of them at the event down below.

Sukihana Praises Lil Mama After Their Feud

Sukihana and Lil Mama had a brief social media spat over the former’s lewd appearance in an NLE Choppa music video. The two went back and forth for a little bit, mostly prompted by the “Love & Hip Hop: Miami” star hearing that Mama was talking smack about her online. However, during her recent appearance on The Breakfast Club, the 31-year-old actually gave the New York rapper her flowers, seemingly backtracking on their previous hostility. In a social media clip making the rounds online, she said that people don’t credit her enough these days and only look at the ill-received aspects of her career.

“Lil Mama’s actually a good person,” Sukihana began. “She’s not a bad person at all. And it’s so sad that the world been against her since the Jay-Z and Alicia Keys thing. Like, she just having fun. Honestly, I don’t feel no type of way. Come on, it’s Lil Mama. She been in the game for a minute. Like, “Lip Gloss” was poppin’. We can’t discredit her. She’s a legend. Like, people don’t know that Lil Mama is a legend. Even though they like to discredit her, she has been in this game for a minute and I feel like she’s very talented.”

Sukihana Has Kind Words For Lil Mama After Their Brief Beef

What’s more is that this was far from the only notable moment to take away from Sukihana’s appearance on the radio show. While she squashed her beef with Lil Mama, she hilariously started new beef with Charlamagne Tha God. As she spoke proudly of her upcoming song’s hit potential, the media personality pushed back and said that it won’t necessarily see the success she wants just because DJ Clue told her it would pop off. Clearly, she didn’t like that, and proceeded to dog on Charlamagne as the other hosts (and Charlamagne himself) laughed and joked along.

“What, s**t, you’s a motherf***in’ liar,” she clapped back. “Under that two piece that you got on, you got a thong up your a** and your booty hole shaved. So I’ma let you be great, but we gon’ get back to this motherf***in’ hit. It’s shaved, it’s shaved. You like that a** licked. And there’s nothing wrong with that. You gon’ motherf***in’ respect a queen when you see one. I don’t give a f**k if DJ Clue lie. B**h, God tell the truth, and ‘Casamigo’ is a hit!” Interestingly enough, Lil Mama has her own bone to pick with Charlamagne. For more updates on her and Sukihana, stay posted on HNHH.

Jadakiss Joins Drink Champs With His Father & Son

Jadakiss was the latest guest on Drink Champs, and he also brought along his son and father for the conversation. In fact, The Lox member’s father expressed that he didn’t really know hip-hop culture before his son became one of the best rappers out of New York. Moreover, he discussed not wanting the Yonkers MC to sign a record deal and not really understanding the craft or worth of his work. However, eventually he clicked, and Jada’s father was very appreciative and proud in their dialogue. Overall, it was an entertaining episode that covered a lot of different aspects of his career.

For example, Jadakiss, his son, and his father discussed starting Kiss Cafe Coffee, a family-owned coffee company. N.O.R.E. remarked how incredible it is that hip-hop culture didn’t really have a coffee before, and also spoke on how it should go beyond the community and become big in the industry. What’s more is that Kiss has a lot more on the way that’s more in his traditional wheelhouse. Recently, he revealed that he has multiple upcoming projects this year, including two solo albums and an album with The Lox.

Jadakiss On Drink Champs

Also, one of the most iconic recent moments of Jadakiss’ career might see a second wind- or rather, a rematch. He recently reverted his original statements against a rematch with Dipset on Verzuz, and expressed that he’s down for another go. His incredible performance during their first showdown made for one of the most praised and talked-about moments in hip-hop that year. If anything, it just proves that his talent and skill goes much father beyond what people saw as his career peak. No matter his success, he continues to push himself, especially after he saw such recognition for the Verzuz performance.

In addition, the “We Gonna Make It” artist is an advocate for easing tensions in the genre. Along with former opponent Freeway, he urged the younger artists in the game to squash their beefs, standing by his now-close relationship with the Philly rapper. Especially with his father and son by his side, it’s heartening to see him get his flowers and keep developing his career. For more news and the latest updates on Jadakiss, log back into HNHH.

Boosie’s Apology To T.I.

From what both parties indicated, it seems like the feud between Boosie Badazz and T.I. is now over. Moreover, the Baton Rouge rapper recently appeared for yet another sit-down interview with VladTV, and spoke earnestly on the subject. Not only that, but he revealed that he apologized to the Atlanta trap artist and detailed some of his though process and emotions. Specifically, he expressed feeling like the two were able to get over their spat like “bosses.” While the heat between them simmered over time, it’s always great to get a solid confirmation of a reconciliation.

“It just went like two bosses of handling it, man,” Boosie started his remarks. “First of all, we got kids who love each other. First we wasn’t agreeing and we was going back-and-forth and you know he spoke how he felt and I spoke how I felt. He felt me and I felt him. I gave him an apology.” Many believed that the two made up when onlookers spotted them at the St. Louis international airport. However, the “Wipe Me Down” MC said that they talked over the phone before that link-up.

Boosie Breaks Down His Apology & Reconciliation With T.I.

“After we kept going back-and-forth, the things he was doing for me in my life at the time, I kinda felt bad,” Boosie continued concerning T.I. “I kinda felt bad he was doing some real s**t helping me in a lot of ways but I told him I still stand on what I stand on. When he explained it to me, we got by it. We got by like bosses supposed to get by. We ain’t let the internet or none of that bring us out of character.”

For those unaware, this pair sent shots at each other after Boosie labeled T.I. a “rat” for allegedly snitching on his dead cousin. In fact, the former canceled a joint album they were working on. After the “Live Your Life” star clarified the situation (granted, after calling Boosie out multiple times), it seems they came to an understanding. With that in mind, maybe we’ll get that collab tape after all, but only time will tell. Regardless, stick around on HNHH for the latest on T.I. and Boosie.

Latto Owns Up To Plastic Surgery: “Not A Permanent Fix”

Latto recently spoke candidly about her plastic surgery in an interview, addressing the rumors that have been circulating about it. Her sister, Brooklyn Nikole, was a guest on Latto’s Apple Music 777 Radio show on Thursday and commented on how good Latto looked despite the recent procedure. “Because a bitch be looking natural,” the “Big Energy” rapper said in reply. “Because this one thing about it, if you going to do it, do it right. I’m going to do it right. I did it right. For a girl who have little tweaky tweaks, I be on your case about not touching nothing.” This is the first time Latto has been so open about her “tweaks.” Many have spoken about her procedures, but it has all been speculation until now. However, Latto makes it very clear in the interview that women must find peace in their natural selves first.

“I’m telling you… all the young girls listening, all the women listening right now,” she said. “I’m telling you from someone who’s been there, done it, find peace within your natural state. Because you’re going to find a flaw and another flaw and another flaw and another flaw. Surgery, any of that stuff is not a permanent fix.” Of course, Latto is speaking not about a permanent physical fix. She means that plastic surgery cannot fix your inner self if you don’t love yourself already. Many do not advocate for surgery at all. However, Latto seems to be doing it correctly by telling her listeners to focus on self-love before any type of surgical enhancement.

Latto’s Photoshop Drama

Latto has faced a lot of criticism recently. One of the biggest “scandals” she’s faced negativity for was the apparent editing of a photo of her Coachella crowd. Many pointed out that the rapper had shared two different versions of the same image from her performance. In one of them, some of the attendees appeared twice in the crowd. This suggested that Latto had tried to fill empty spaces in the photo by replicating crowd members.

Latto was quick to respond to the allegations of Photoshop. “Never photoshopped a crowd lmao,” she said in an Instagram story. “I expanded it so it would fit in my Instagram swipe without getting cut off but it was clearly f*cked up so I didn’t end up using it & just posted the wrong version by accident on Twitter babes.” While some fans didn’t believe her, the new interview on her radio show seems to indicate that Latto has no problem being completely honest. What do you think of her feelings about plastic surgery? Let us know in the comments!

Steve Harvey Once Had Just $1700 Left In His Bank Account

Everyone knows Steve Harvey. The comedian and television host has anchored some of the biggest game shows, as well as having numerous iterations of his own show. He is a shining example of success across comedy, television, and even advice-giving spaces.

He has had a long, and successful career and presumably made a lot of money. His net worth is reportedly somewhere in the range of $200 million. However, Harvey has recently revealed a story about a time when his bank account was barely in the thousands. Furthermore, this was not a story about his early years, but instead from one of the highs of his career.

Divorce And Shady Accounting Cost Harvey Millions

Speaking on Shannon Sharpe’s Club ShayShay podcast, Harvey revealed the set of circumstances that led to him having just $1700 in the bank. According to Sharpe, this occurred in 2005. “It’s called a divorce, man,” Harvey began, “But I got jumped on even before the divorce. I’m gonna say who did it, but they go in cahoots with my financial planner and I was writing checks to the government for seven years, in tax checks. Filling in the tax checks, giving them to be turned in, and they was keeping them. They was taking the money from the account like I was paying taxes, and keeping it for theyself.” He only found out when “My accountant passed and a lady went into the offices and found a box on the floor… I’m thinking I’m even but my lawyer says to me ‘you haven’t paid taxes in seven years’.”

However, things went from bad to worse for Harvey. “I had saved some millions but before I split the assets, she [Harvey’s second wife Mary Shackleford] went into the account and removed it. The divorce was over, and it’s like let’s split the assets, well you took all the assets. And I was stuck with this tax bill. I had to pay seven years of back taxes with interest. I was in a world of trouble, man. I looked up and I had $1700.” However, things would turn around in the coming years, with a stand-up special, a book, and eventually, Family Feud in 2010. Regardless, it just goes to show that no one is ever as well off as you think they are.
