Moreover, the world responded with cutesy messages as well after Diddy first shared their child. Initially, he announced her birth on Twitter, which got everyone talking.

India Royale just shut down pregnancy rumors via her social media apps after they swirled around the Internet. Moreover, the recently single influencer showed off her slim physique in a short Instagram live clip. After fans spotted her wearing a loose-fitted shirt, many thought that she was expecting.

XXXTentacion’s mother, Cleopatra “Cleo” Bernard, shared a post for her late son on Instagram, Monday, in honor of his birthday. XXXTencation would’ve been 25 years old.

“Happy Birthday Jah, another year without you here physically, however you will always live in our hearts and memories,” Cleo wrote. “Your amazing fans have continued to support you, and keep your legacy thriving. We are eternally grateful for them and the times we’ve shared.”

Also celebrating X’s birthday, a new track from the late rapper featuring Lil Uzi Vert titled “I’m Not Human” was released. Uzi previously addressed appearing on a posthumous song for X back in 2021 on Instagram Live. At the time, he was hesitant to do so.

“He called me one time when he was incarcerated a long time ago and I was going onstage—I was on tour with the Weeknd—he called me and he actually rapped a song for me that he never laid, and it was really good,” Uzi explained. “I would love to do a song with him but I’m really weird on stuff like that. Don’t get me wrong, it took me really long to do that before with another artist. … I understand that they’re not here living, and what if that’s not the vision that they really want? Especially if they really fucked with me, like, what if that’s all wrong?”

TikTok Confirms Employees Can Decide What Goes ‘Viral’

Going viral on social media isn’t as organic as you think — at least not on TikTok.

It was confirmed over the week that TikTok’s U.S. employees could determine what goes “viral” on the social media platform, Forbes confirms. Claims of the ability surfaced with the announcement of the new “heating” feature that can help introduce emerging influencers on the platform.

Jamie Favazza, a spokesperson for TikTok, told Forbes that increasing views to particular videos isn’t the only reason for heating. TikTok will also “promote some videos to help diversify the content experience,” he said.

Favazza also suggests TikTok doesn’t do it that often, claiming only “.002% of videos in For You feeds” are heated. According to an internal document obtained by Forbes, however, heated videos reportedly make up “around 1-2 percent” of “total daily video views.”

Rumors of the ability to boost videos have been circulating for years. Facebook, the parent company of TikTok, allegedly knew it was showing inflated view counts and didn’t fix it right away to help entice advertisers and media companies to its platform.

The report comes as TikTok is facing heavy competition from platforms like YouTube and Instagram. TikTok’s lack of transparency around heating makes it hard to tell which videos got to the top organically.

50 Cent Celebrates 15 New Platinum Plaques

50 Cent celebrated 15 new platinum plaques on Instagram, which means that 15 of his songs were certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). Moreover, some of 50’s biggest hits got new certifications, whereas some got their first platinum plaque. Still, it speaks to the Queens rapper’s excellent and long-lasting catalog and impact.

“Can you imagine if i kept all my hits for my self,” 50 captioned his post. Furthermore, he posted which songs specifically got the new certifications. Specifically, he got 15 new platinum accolades and six gold plaques. According to the G-Unit head honcho’s post, a few songs for plaques for the very first time. Some that received their first platinum certification were “I Get Money,” “Patiently Waiting” featuring Eminem, “Best Friend,” “Outta Control,” “Hate It Or Love It” and “Window Shopper.”

Moreover, some songs that already reached platinum status got re-certified. These include “In Da Club,” “Just A Lil’ Bit,” “Disco Inferno,” “Many Men (Wish Death),” “P.I.M.P.,” “Candy Shop,” “21 Questions” with Nate Dogg, and more.

However, it’s crazy to think that “21 Questions” almost didn’t see the light of day. Dr. Dre wasn’t feeling it, but 50’s vision saved the track from oblivion. During a recent appearance on Big Boy’s Neighborhood, the BMF tycoon told a story about how the two hashed it out.

“He said, ‘I don’t know why you want?’ Why I wanted the record,” he expressed. “I’m like, ‘Damn, I gotta do all these motherf**kin’ push-ups?’ Dre would say this is N.W.A… ‘We didn’t do that.’

“Like they didn’t have to reach to make a commercial record or anything that sounded like a commercial record,” he continued. “And that’s just in his DNA. Like on his path, he’s like, ‘We don’t need that.’”

Lil Durk Seems To Target Gunna With Video Of Young Thug

Lil Durk appeared to be calling out Gunna on his Instagram Story, Sunday, after sharing a video from Young Thug. Gunna recently accepted a plea deal in the YSL RICO case and is no longer in prison.

“Just because you lost me as a friend, don’t mean you gained me as an enemy,” Thug says in the video. “I still want to see you eating, just not at my table.”

Durk captioned the clip: “Just know who y’all is just be easy keep the noise complaining down.”

The post comes after Durk, and many other associates of Thug, unfollowed Gunna on social media. Durk also seemed to be dissing Gunna in a recent snippet of an unreleased track, in which he raps, “What happened to Virgil he probably gon’ tell.”

The two rappers previously collaborated on the 2022 hit, “What Happened to Virgil.”

After Gunna accepted the plea deal, his attorney, Steve Sadow, quickly took to Instagram to address any snitching allegations.

“Gunna did not snitch to get out of jail,” Sadow wrote at the time. “He has said nothing and is not cooperating. His plea statement cannot be used in court against any other defendant. So please stop spreading lies.”

Gunna himself also denied the rumors, sharing a statement to the media: “While I have agreed to always be truthful, I want to make it perfectly clear that I have NOT made any statements, have NOT been interviewed, have NOT cooperated, have NOT agreed to testify or be a witness for or against any party in the case and have absolutely NO intention of being involved in the trial process in any way.”

Funk Flex Responds To J.I.D’s Freestyle Comments

Funk Flex has responded to J.I.D’s recent admission that the New York DJ’s reaction to one of his freestyles left him “a little upset.” Funk Flex says that J.I.D is one of his favorite rappers.

J.I.D had been speaking with the Rap Radar Podcast when he revealed that he’s retired from freestyles. He explained that freestyling for Flex in 2017 was a “childhood dream.” However, Flex’s subdued reaction hurt him. J.I.D had freestyled over Screwball’s “F.A.Y.B.A.N.” and Biggie’s “Who Shot Ya?”

“That was a good time. Funk ain’t even understand what was going on,” J.I.D said. “He was kerfuffled, I was giving him something and he ain’t even get it. We might go back one day. I silently retired away from the freestyles because I was mad at Flex because he didn’t respond the way I wanted to.”

J.I.D added that he will most likely make a return to freestyles at some point. “It’s another part of the art,” he said. “It’s another notch on your tool belt.”

Flex responded to the comments on Instagram: “DID YALL KNOW THAT @JIDSV IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE ARTIST?”

“WHO WANTS TO HEAR ANOTHER JID FREESTYLE?” he continued before adding: “WHOS YOUR FAVORITE ARTIST TO HEAR FREESTYLE?”

J.I.D commented on the post that it’s all “love” between them and that he’s willing to “run it back.”

While he’s avoided freestyles, J.I.D released his first studio album since 2018 last year, The Forever Story. The project featured Kenny Mason, EarthGang, 21 Savage, Lil Durk, Ari Lennox, Yasiin Bey, Lil Wayne, and more.

03 Greedo Says He’s Free From Jail, But Not Out Yet

03 Greedo just released a statement explaining that, even though he’s out of jail, he’s not quite free yet. While authorities granted him parole and announced his release earlier this year, it seems that there’s still some ground to cover. Moreover, the L.A. MC made an Instagram post explaining the ordeal.

“Yes, I am free from prison but I am still not completely out,” he wrote. “For anyone confused I am in a halfway house for up to 6 months with a five minute phone call a week.”

Although officials locked him up in 2018 after a 2016 arrest, don’t think that he hasn’t kept busy. In fact, just when his parole was announced, he released the Free 03 mixtape to fans’ surprise. Additionally, the 15-track project featured appearances from Drakeo The Ruler, OhGeesy, KenTheMan, and the BlueBucksClan. Also, it was entirely produced by Mike Free.

“Where I am I just want to see my daughter and record music,” he continued. “I wish I could have released alot more music while I was away. So, I have this chip on my shoulder to just go record n drop at least 12 tapes before my major album and I honestly just don’t want to talk to alot of people yet. I got a lot I want to clear in my head first.”

Moreover, the 35-year-old’s relationships in the industry were strong and will last for all time. When his friend Drakeo The Ruler passed last year, Greedo made a tribute post to his “evil twin.” Later on in his recent statement, he talks about his mindset following his ordeal.

“So, if I’m not recording with you or laying with you, I’m not inna rush to talk after damn near 5 years,” he wrote. “Just being honest! Salute to the GeeHive and all my supporters, I love you. Thank u for keeping me alive while I was incarcerated.
Yours Truly, Cheeto.”

Summer Walker In The Studio On Mom Duty

Summer Walker posted some clips of her in the studio recently, although she’s clearly also in mom mode. The Atlanta native brought her breast pumps to the studio and shared a candid video of her eating and spinning around in her chair. Moreover, it’s far from the first time that Walker’s teased fans with studio time, new music, or something else on the horizon.

Furthermore, many in the comments of The Shade Room‘s post argued over the post, for some reason. Many just shouted the singer out for her openness or said that she looks great after birthing twins. However, some were defending her waist trainer and calling out others for unrightfully saying she got surgery. It was a weird section, for sure, but it just goes to show the star power. Even when it’s about a piece of food or clothing in an innocent video, Summer Walker’s bound to turn heads.

Moreover, she recently opened up about her process of motherhood and what it means to her.

“I really reached my goal of hella kids before 30,” the “No Love” star wrote on her IG story. Right after giving birth, she shared some more thoughts.

“I’m so proud of myself,” she said. “Just sharing to inspire other women, cause I know once you carry twins to almost 42 weeks, especially with one breech, people will try to steer you towards induction or C-section.

“You can do it,” the 26-year-old continued. “This was my second home birth all natural 7 hrs, no tearing & I couldn’t of done it without my spirit guides, Godparents, birth team, my elders, & the best dad doula ever Larry lol, he was so hands on the whole time I was really impressed it wasn’t easy but it gets done.”

Also, Walker’s teased new project might harken back to some of her R&B and soul roots. While she’s found a lot of success in these lanes, many feel like she doesn’t get her due credit. Apparently, she agrees, as she penned a predictive message on Instagram after being snubbed for Grammy nominations. “These award shows gone play me [regardless] ima go back to making the soul music I love.”
