Needless to say, however, it has far from the same positive effect on everybody. Ari Lennox, for example, recently shared one of her own experiences with marijuana, revealing that it put her in the hospital.

During a recent Instagram Live, the songstress opened up with viewers about how she’s considering trying weed again. She noted that she has some reservations, particularly considering her past. “I don’t even smoke weed, but y’all honestly, it’s about time I start,” she began. “No, I ain’t gonna start. My thing is, if I start smoking, is it going to open up the gateway to wanting to drink again?”

Ari Lennox Details Frightening Weed Experience

Fear of running back to alcohol isn’t the only thing holding Lennox back, however. She went on to detail a time when an innocent couple of puffs turned into a hospital visit. “Years ago,” she described. “I had some weed. I was trying out for American Idol, and I didn’t get it. My cousin was hanging out with his friend and his friend was like ‘Try this weed.’” Lennox continued, detailing how things went south almost immediately.

“The room started f*cking spinning,” she explained. “I just kept f*cking disintegrating and I felt like there was f*cking spiders, there was f*cking spiders taking over my whole […] body.” At some point in the evening, police arrived and whisked Lennox away to a hospital. “They f*cking hooked me up to them goddamn machines… I was just crying and screaming,” she recalled. Fans can’t blame Lennox for refraining from weed after that, and can agree that based on her experience, she’s probably better off without it. For obvious reasons, the news sparked concern among his fanbase, as very few details were revealed. He shared that he was back at home and “on the road to recovery.”

Kel Mitchell Says Bulging Disc Prompted Hospitalization

In a new video, Mitchell’s seen in good spirits, appearing to be doing well amid the headlines. He recalls being out shopping when he noticed some troubling symptoms, prompting him to head to the hospital. “Suddenly the whole rooming started spinning,” he explains. At the time, he decided to drink some water, assuming he was just dehydrated. “When I did that, the whole right side of my arm and my leg was numb, followed by me not being able to swallow,” he describes. “And that’s when I panicked. So, I drove myself to the hospital — I wouldn’t advise anybody to do that — but I was panicking so I wobbled myself to the car.”

Upon arriving to the hospital, he failed a series of tests, causing him to have to stay overnight. As HipHopDX reports, he recently landed in the hospital due to a severe fluctuation in his blood sugar levels. On Sunday (August 27) night Boosie shared the news with fans via Instagram, letting them know that he plans on taking some time to get himself in check before he can continue to entertain the world.

“[SHOUT] OUT TO THE NURSES N DOCTORS AT BAPTIST MEMORIAL HOSPITAL FOR GETTING MY BLOOD SUGARS DOWN N GETTING ME N OUT‼” the 40-year-old wrote in the caption of a photo of his arm with a hospital bracelet wrapped around it. “NO COVID, NO DKA. JUST HAD TO GET SOME BAGS OF FLUIDS (BEEN TO 6 STATES N 4 DAYS). DOC SAY I NEED REST I AGREE ✅,” Boosie reflected. Obviously, touring isn’t at all easy on his body, especially not after beating cancer too.

Boosie Badazz Fans Show Support Amid Health Scare

The “Wipe Me Down” hitmaker said that he’ll be heading back home to his “big a** bed” this week. Boosie added that he’s looking forward to the potential rain showers coming up in the forecast. He’s already thinking about relaxing and listening to the sounds of Mother Earth soothe him to sleep. On top of the support of his loved ones, the lyricist also has countless fans praising his decision to put himself first in the comment section. “You and the phone need to rest 😂❤,” one of them joked.

A recent show in Houston held by Snoop Dogg and Wiz Khalifa unfortunately turned hectic as the weather proved to be more impactful than expected. Moreover, as temperature reached triple digits in Fahrenheit, 16 attendees at Saturday’s show (August 19) went to the hospital. Specifically, this was due to heat-related illnesses, although according to HipHopDX, no one sustained serious injures and the medical facility discharged them all after recovery. Before this, the Atascocita Fire Department informed social media that they would respond to affected concert-goers amid the intense heat.

“Atascocita First Responders and the @SETRAC_TX AMBUS (MPV601) headed to the Woodlands Pavilion to assist with overheated concert attendees at the @SnoopDogg concert,” they tweeted. “We got your back Snoop!” Furthermore, it seems like this response was as swift as necessary and possible, and it likely prevented this from becoming a larger problem. Unfortunately, weather will always impact concerts, especially outside ones, and it’s something that many artists and fans might not think about all the time. Hopefully future shows from Tha Doggfather don’t suffer this conditions or at least have the mechanisms for another quick response like this.

Snoop Dogg Gets Support From Local Fire Department

However, this adds to an unfortunate string of bad luck for Snoop Dogg when it comes to live shows. Still, this is for the right reasons, so there’s at least something to take away. The legendary West Coast rapper canceled his dates at the Hollywood Bowl with Dr. Dre as a way of showing solidarity with the writer’s strike. “We regret to inform you that due to the ongoing strike and the uncertainty when this will be over, we need to cancel the Hollywood Bowl show,” he announced via Instagram.

“We stand in solidarity with all of our brothers and sisters in the WGA and SAG-AFTRA during this difficult time and remain hopeful that the AMPTP will come back to the negotiating table with a REAL proposal and we can all get back to work,” it concluded. Reactions to this were somewhat split, but mostly appreciative and understanding of the Long Beach MC’s decision. There are larger fights to tackle than tour profit, and fortunately these heat conditions weren’t overshadowed by the live performance. Chika Divulges On Kidney Failure Hospitalization

Chika has been going through a hard time as of late as it pertains to her health. While taking to Instagram recently, the artist said “been in the ICU twice in the past month and it’s so friggin boring that i have resorted to taking prison photos. enjoy. album in a couple- a weekz.” Overall, this is incredibly scary to here, as the ICU is always meant for those who need urgent care. Unfortunately, fans decided to hit the artist with some disrespectful speculation. This subsequently led to a response in which she said, “You know you can spend 3 days in ICU and then get moved to the regular floor right, Please shut the f*ck up, i had kidney failure.”

The confirmation of kidney failure had many fans asking for prayers. Others were quick to ask Chika if she was doing alright. As it stands, the artist is currently back at home, and based on her social media activity, she seems to be doing a lot better. Hopefully, that continues to be true. Unfortunately, however, some people are taking this as an opportunity to call out the artist. Recently, she was on a plane with some kids who were being a bit too annoying for her liking. After posting about it on social media, there was a whole firestorm that led to Chika making her Twitter account private for a little while.

Duke Deuce Hospitalized After A Truck Allegedly Almost Ran Him Over

Some haters go to insane lengths to see your downfall, and Duke Deuce apparently almost experienced an extreme instance of that. Moreover, the CRUNKSTAR took to Twitter to reveal his hospitalization and said that someone tried to run him over with a truck. Fortunately, he also maintained that they only hit his arm and didn’t break any bones in the process. While we only know his testimony when it comes to this incident, it’s worth acknowledging that the man in the hospital probably has the most important story in this process. Hopefully he recovers promptly, which seems to be the case based on his message.

“Hating a** n***a really tried to run me over with his truck yesterday but only hit my arm,” Duke Deuce tweeted with a picture of him in the hospital. “No broken bones or nothing tho thank God, I’m a hard body n***a fr.” Sure, some in the comments raised eyebrows at the idea that the Memphis MC went to the hospital for just getting hit in the arm. Last week, Jamie Foxx was on the set of his new Netflix movie, Back In Action. Now, he seems to be indefinitely hospitalized as doctor’s look for answers. There has been no shortage of drama on the film set, even without Foxx being hospitalized. The actor had recently been scammed by someone on the crew. He also reportedly had a meltdown on set. The hospitalization due to an undisclosed “medical complication” was the latest in a long line of bad luck for the actor.

Foxx’s daughter, Corinne, broke the news in an Instagram post. “We wanted to share that, my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced [a] medical complication yesterday,” she began, “Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery.” This is good news for Foxx, who seemed to be in great health until now. According to a TMZ “source,” the situation was far more grave than the actor’s daughter made it out to be. “We’re told his condition was serious enough that Jamie’s family — some of whom were not in town — came to the hospital,” they said. “He’s communicating now, and that’s good news.”

Jeremy Renner Hospitalized After “Traumatic” Snowplow Accident

Jeremy Renner was hospitalized on Sunday after being involved in a “traumatic” snowplow accident, according to the Washoe County, Nevada, sheriff’s office. A representative for the actor has since confirmed that they are in “critical but stable condition.”

In a statement provided to Deadline, they cited Renner as being in “critical but stable condition with injuries suffered after experiencing a weather-related accident while plowing snow earlier [Sunday].”

Renner owns a home at the Mount Rose Ski Tahoe resort near Reno. A snowstorm hit the area on New Year’s Eve, causing thousands to lose power.

Renner is perhaps best known for his work as Hawkeye, a member of the Avengers. He has made numerous appearances in Marvel Cinematic Universe films over the years. Back in 2008, he was up for the Academy Award for Best Actor for his performance in The Hurt Locker. Renner also appeared in American Hustle (2013), Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation (2015), Arrival (2016), and much more. He recently starred in Mayor of Kingstown, a crime-thriller series created by Taylor Sheridan and Hugh Dillon.
