After amassing a staggering 40 million views on Instagram reels with a tantalizing teaser, GRAMMY-nominated artists Quavo and Lana Del Rey release their highly-anticipated new song “Tough” today via Capitol/Interscope/Polydor. Directed by Wyatt Spain Winfrey, the video for ‘Tough’ is a mesmerizing fusion that allows both superstars to fearlessly explore each other’s musical realms, showcasing their indomitable spirit. Set in a rural backdrop, Quavo and Lana are intrepid companions, undaunted by life’s trials. On one end, Quavo brandishes his shotgun while Lana carries her guitar, symbolizing their unwavering strength despite their contrasting origins. 

“Tough like the scuff on a pair of old leather boots/Like the blue-collar, red-dirt attitude/Like a .38 made out of brass/Tough like the stuff on your grandpa’s glass,” the country-trap hook goes. 

Following the release of the teaser of “Tough,” the clip enjoyed various viral moments and was picked up by numerous publications, including Billboard, Rolling Stone, Spin, Hypebeast, and more. Quavo and Lana added more fuel to the conversation when they performed the song together at the singer’s headlining performance at Fenway Park in Boston. The teased reel posted on Instagram became the most viewed reel of all time for Quavo, while that became the second largest for Lana.

Harlem rapper turned fashionista A$AP Rocky is expanding his presence in the clothing world with a new label, American Sabotage. 

Created in collaboration with AWGE, the American Sabotage x AWGE Men’s Spring/Summer 2025 collection debuted at Paris Fashion Week on June 21, with Rihanna attending to support Rocky. 

Get this, the Fenty Hair founder wore a burgundy, fur-lined bomber jacket and studded high heels, capturing photos and videos of the show.

Here’s how Rocky described the collection: “American Sabotage is more than just a brand–it’s a movement. We’re wrecking boundaries and making statements through every piece, reflecting the spirit and resilience of our communities. This is fashion with purpose, where art meets activism.”

The hot new collection drew inspiration from Rocky’s bold New York style and Harlem’s Dipset. Footwear was provided by Puma, where Rocky has been the Creative Director of their Formula 1 partnership since October 2023, and Ray-Ban provided eyewear. Notable guests included Pharrell, Clipse, and A$AP Nast.

Hollywood’s finest stars showed up in their best fashions on the Black-tie red carpet at The 4th Annual Hollywood Unlocked Impact Awards held this past Friday, June 21 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles

The award show highlights recipient contributions across the music, film, media, political, social and creative industries to celebrate their accomplishments and contributions for the Black community. The awards was founded by CEO of Hollywood Unlocked, culture critic, media personality, and talk show host, Jason Lee.

Host Tiffany Haddish wore a black, strapless black gown with a sheer polkadot bottom, while Impact Awards founder, Jason Lee, wore a pink tux jacket styled by Wayman and Micah.

A highlight of the evening was Christian Louboutin receiving the Innovator Award from Sharon Stone, who praised his iconic red soles as the “Rolls Royce of stilettos.” Notably, Grammy-winning rapper Cardi B, who received the Inspiration Award, celebrated Louboutin’s famous red soles in her debut hit “Bodak Yellow,” calling them “Bloody shoes.” Cardi B stunned in a black blazer dress with puff sleeves, tulle gloves, and a long tulle skirt by Fwrd. She completed the look with a side bang, red lip, and crystal jewelry.

Actor Jonathan Majors who received the Perseverance award showed up in a gray suit, alongside girlfriend Meagan Good who was dressed in a gold bedazzled Retrofete gown.

Other award recipients included rap icon Fat Joe (Culture Award), U.S. Representative Jasmine Crockett (Social Impact Award), attorney Ben Crump (Community Award), and Grammy-nominated rapper Da Brat and her wife Jesseca Harris-Dupart (Spirit Award).

These distinguished honorees join a prestigious list of previous awardees, including Chlöe Bailey, Law Roach, Whoopi Goldberg, Babyface, Tupac, Catherine Brewton, Floyd Mayweather, Kelis, Karen Bass, and Lizzo.

The 2024 Impact Awards also included special performances from singer and actor Fantasia Barrino, R&B singer-songwriter Lucky Daye, Hip-Hop artist Yellopain and Grammy Award winning gospel singer Karen Clark Sheard. The award show was pre-recorded and will air exclusively on The Zeus Network.

Nike Launches Summer 2024 N7 Collection on Canadian National Indigenous Peoples Day

Nike debuted its latest N7 Collection on June 21, Canadian National Indigenous Peoples Day. The collection, designed by Mi’kmaq First Nations artist Lauren Thomas, features new unisex apparel and footwear and pays homage to Indigenous culture and traditions.

Nike’s N7 initiative aims to foster positive change by highlighting the resilience of Indigenous communities through sports. Each N7 collection, crafted by Indigenous designers, empowers youth to express their heritage. Nike also supports non-profits uplifting Indigenous communities, investing $625,000 annually since 2022 via CAF America.

The Summer 2024 N7 Collection infuses contemporary styles with vibrant colors and textures inspired by First Nations art forms. Thomas drew from her Mi’kmaq roots, incorporating petroglyph-inspired patterns and ombre colorways into iconic styles like the Air Max ’87 and Air Force 1 ’07. Ribbon laces pay homage to traditional powwow regalia and ribbon shirts.

This launch underscores Nike’s commitment to cultural sustainability and community empowerment. The N7 Collection continues to honor and preserve heritage across North America by celebrating Indigenous traditions while innovating for the future.

The occasion marked the release of his highly anticipated second book, St. John’s New Building Kids: Age of the Kracking, and served as a platform to showcase his latest collection of fashion-forward threads.

This event followed the success of his debut book, St. John’s Polo Posse: Gave Rise to a Nation, further cementing his status as a multifaceted creative force.

Hosted by myself and the internationally renowned Int’l P of MTV Fight Klub fame, the event was a true success. The stage was set for a series of stellar performances by an impressive lineup of artists, including D Marco Da Great, Bill Minerr, Prince Julius, Iz Hoffa, Dutch Stackz, Rack Lo, Lazarus Da Don, Time Is Money PaperBoy, CBoy Hood Rich, Nymrod Federal, and Pressure. Each performance added to the vibe and energy of the night, making it a great experience for all in attendance.

Special guests gracing the event included the legendary Lo-Life Prince Polo, also known as Bill Minerr, the iconic Rack Lo, Loon Lo, and AV Rock. Their presence added a touch of legacy and authenticity to the celebration, highlighting the cultural significance of El Gara Gayn’s work and theirs. Also in the building, STA Nation – producer Cover and his artists delivering electrifying performances straight from The Bronx and Boujee Blazer shined with her crazy sexy eyewear on display .
